Very convenient ferry over to the island. Ship has plenty of seating areas and you can ride over in your camper or vehicle. Check online for schedule and get into the queuing lane.

Port to Vestmannaeyjabær, decent parking to leave your car behind. You won't need that car on the island, everything can be done on foot. The Ferry is Electric, so smooth sailing.

A unique ferry crossing between Iceland and the small but very beautiful island of Heimaey. This ferry allows you to take a day trip to Vestmannaeyjar. Before your trip, I recommend checking the weather, as the crossing may be closed during severe stormy winds. I recommend it )

We booked our ferry tickets online, and it was super easy to do. We got there at the recommended time, and had no issues. Ferry was punctual. Staff were polite. There is plenty of seating options. They even have a few bunk beds if you would like to lie down. So many seats I can't believe they're ever all full. Cafe onboard is well stocked. There's tables to eat at if you wish. Seating outside as well. The entire ship was clean. There are several bathrooms, which was nice when we needed one. Ferry ride was fairly short. Nice views of the island as you pull up.

Easy process. Nice, comfortable ferry ride.

Smooth experience. Snacks, drinks, and even some fastfood options on the board. You could get yourself beds and even cabin for some additional money. Better be in 30 minutes before the time of ferry. The whole trip to island takes 45 minutes.

Great place to park and catch the ferry to Vestmannaeyjar. Has good facilities and loads of parking. What made it special for us is on the return trip we noticed a whale just outside the harbour. We ended up spending 30 minutes sitting on the rock wall watching 2 Humpback Whales feeding in the sound.

Great experience! The vessel was clean, up to date and all people involved were very friendly. The ride only lasted 30+ minutes and wish it was a longer cruise.
