Overall, a great experience for lunch on a weekday. I will definitely be back. I was first seated in the room that shares as the bar, between groups of business people having loud negotiations (some in person, some on the phone. Some of these were drinking martinis.) I explained my concerns and asked to be moved. I was moved to a nearby area, also with business groups. Luckily, these groups were not as loud. The complimentary bread was fantastic. I loved the fact it was sliced thin. The butter was served at just the right temperature. It was spreadable but not melty. I love that detail! My fennel salad was interesting and flavorful but not seasonal (August.) It was huge, by the way. My server, James, chose a wine that perfectly paired with the salad, as I requested. The kitchen staff worked as a team to deliver and clear. Marco, the busser, kept everything moving. I learned later that James was the lone server, taking care of both indoor rooms and the outdoor tables. He did a great job by himself that day! The main course, grilled vegetables with goat cheese, came next. I am glad it was not a huge, heavy portion. The bread and salad had nearly filled me up. The carrot and asparagus were cooked perfectly. The eggplant and zucchini were a bit greasy. The first slice of eggplant had an entire side of skin, which I could not easily chew. The restrooms were immaculately clean. I really appreciate that and take it as a sign that the management cares about the details. After my meal, I looked at the upstairs. It has several rooms, several of which would be ideal for private parties. The whole atmosphere was classy. The white tablecloths are reflective of the level of service. As stated at the beginning, I am looking forward to returning.
