Google
We came here in search of some good Chinese food for lunch, got the lo mein with chicken and the pork chive dumplings. Maybe it’s my tastebuds that need extra spice, but the noodles and the dumplings felt bland. The sauce with the dumplings helped. Just as I thought of adding some soy sauce and vinegar to my noodles, I found a big INSIDE the vinegar bottle. I tried to muster up the appetite to continue eating, but I just couldn’t. What’s worse is my boyfriend already had a few bites of the noodles coated with the bug-marinated vinegar. In all, the food is mid, but they do not seem to keep their place clean or replace their condiments. So beware!

Google
This place is absolutely disgusting! Would not recommend! My food was greasy, cold, semi burnt and tasted like garbage. No flavor and the chicken looked like worms. Worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. When I told server the issue, instead of offering another plate or a solution she came back and said you’re still paying for it. Every bite tasted like you were chewing wet great and burn over cooked noodles. If I could give negative stars I would! Absolutely garbage! DONT COME HERE!!

Google
The atmosphere in owners are so kind and friendly. It is a shame it doesn’t transfer over to their food. I got the orange beef and It tasted like Dirty vegetable oil. After trying to get through five bites of my $18 order, I couldn’t stomach it anymore and throughout the entire container. It made me sick

Google
Singapore Noodles and Mongolian Beef were both delicious with generous portions and rich flavors. Menu has a good range of delicious & authentic dish options. Restaurant vibe was welcoming, friendly and authentic. Alcohol not available at time of review. Two entrees and a 30% tip came to just over $3. Plentiful free parking available on site, restrooms available for customers. There is an 8 seated table available for groups. There is a wheelchair accessible path to entrance (to the right of the front door) additional to the stairs which lead directly up to the patio (which has gorgeous views but no outdoor seating). Great choice of your looking for Chinese food - I will be back for sure.

Google
We enjoy their food so much. Thankful they serve authentic dishes and not just a limited variety of westernized foods. Highly recommend trying what they offer - flavor is a win & so flavorful. The duck is 100%!

Google
don’t eat here. mid food and bug in vinegar, waitress didn’t care at all lol. so it really shows how much they care about quality and the food they serve. i’d never think about coming here

Google
Family owned and operated. Food was great, Kung Pow beef and combination fried rice. Great flavor, quality meat and portions

Google
Szechuan style food that actually uses a good amount of Szechuan peppercorns? Yes please! The flounder was amazing and the menu rewards you for exploring outside the usual offerings. Plus they actually make their own egg tarts rather than releasing from frozen! Great little mom & pop shop I'll be back to sooner rather than later.

Yelp
It's a bit far from downtown, but well worth the drive! Friendly staff and traditional foods make eating here a pleasure. The decor is simple but colorful and evocative of China. The menu is filled with the usual fare as well as more unusual items, and specials are listed on large white boards - very "real" and exotic sounding dishes! My husband ordered the vegetable stirfry which was delicious and had a amazing delicious sauce. I had the garlic chicken which came with many veggies and a rich, garlicly brown sauce, unlike any I have had before. The soup, we chose hot and sour, and eggroll, which came with the lunch specials were very good! The soup was slightly different than most hot and sour soups, with very thick rich broth.

Yelp
Get the wonton soup-the wantons had a good chewiness which indicated they're homemade. The rich broth had a ton of flavor. Orange chicken had a perfect crunch and wasn't the typical over fried and breaded crap most restaurants serve. The spice had a nice hit kick too. Vegetables in the cashew chicken were ample and thick so they weren't soggy. It had good flavor and wasn't mild spice-wise. The servers were lovely and fast. I recommend!

Yelp
This is my number one, go to Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs! It is the most delicious food! The prices are fantastic. The service is fast and friendly! It is such a cute little place in a great location.

google avatar

Jay S.

Yelp
Excellent Chinese food. Nice mom and pop business. My favorite go-to Chinese restaurant.

Yee A.

Yelp
Best Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs. We especially love their eggplant chicken salted fish pot, ginger scallion chicken, shredded chicken, salted fish chicken fried rice all their tofu dishes and braised fish. Service is excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
Food tastes good!! All of it..i would say its the best within colorado springs. Servings, its on the worst side. Both pictures are worth $100. 1 order is not enough for 1 person. Theyre busy so order ahead.

Yelp
Very subpar Chinese food experience for us. We ordered takeout and noticed an odd smell immediately. The host was very nice but stated it would take about 15 min when it in fact took less than 3 minutes. This and the appearance of the food made us believe it had been ready and sitting for a while so definitely not fresh. The lo mein has a different and strange taste and honestly looks like just oily spaghetti. Super disappointed and still searching for a decent Chinese place we can frequent.

Yelp
This place was a delight from the beginning until the end. We were greeted with a welcoming smile and parted with the same smile. The menu was simple and easy to read through. The lay out felt cozy which was very nice. The jasmine tea was delicious and came out in a small press type set up. Adorable. The food though! What a hit with the family. Their homemade pork and green onion dumpling with a slightly spicy dipping sauce were out of this world! I got a beef noodle soup, my husband got the egg foo young and my daughter got the chicken lo mein. Everything was delicious. We couldn't find a negative thing about this place and can't wait to come back and eat again!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful hidden gem! Great service, very streamlined. Also, amazing pricing for really good food. The orange chicken isn't something I order most places, but they have the best I've ever had. Their crab Rangoon (wontons) are the best I've ever had as well, they are freshly made, slightly sweet, and filled with crab. Their wonton soup has an amazing broth. Overall, this place is just great. I also love that it's run by a family, and isn't just random cooks. Also, inside is tastefully decorated, yet simple. I would love to dine in sometime.

Yelp
We loved getting takeout from Lanshing Cafe frequently many years ago, but haven't been in a long time after moving away from the neighborhood. I'm happy to report it is just as good if not better than we remember it! We ordered online and picked up our food to go, the online ordering time estimate was nearly perfect and very quick! I wanted to try something that the average American Chinese restaurant doesn't have, so I ordered the noodles with black bean sauce based on previous Yelp reviews. This was a new dish for me so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I really liked the rich flavor and the thick creamy texture added to the noodles. The pickled radish complemented it well. I wish they had a vegetarian version so that others I was with could have tried it! We also ordered the shrimp with seasonal vegetables, the crab meat cheese wontons, and the sesame pumpkin pancakes. Everything was very good, especially the sauces! The pancakes made the perfect dessert, the sauce added a balanced sweetness to the sesame and pumpkin, and the pancake texture was soft and slightly chewy inside with the lightly fried/sesame coated exterior. I can't wait to order food here again next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Yelp
We used to come here a lot and then it got sold and we came less. But we stopped by recently and are back to being very impressed! So many new items we could only try a few which were tremendous. Will return more frequently to try other new items.

Yelp
I purchased the chopsticks because they were adorable. 1. Egg rolls were perfect 2. Fried rice did not seem fresh at all. I went around 3:30 ish 3. I got the orange chicken and it wasn't what I was used to as far as looks and taste. 4. The food was hot with my to go order which was good but overall, not the best. I'd definitely recommend the egg rolls and the sweet lady who took my order.

Yelp
Reminds me of my time in China! Very authentic. The black bean noodles took me back there. Please keep up the good work!!!!

Yelp
Still my favorite Chinese restaurant in all of El Paso County. Great service. Clean. Consistently delicious and made to order. I highly recommend. I wish it wasn't so far from my house! Owners changed but still great.

Jeremiah H.

Yelp
The Pork and Vegetables lunch special was good, if a tad salty. The lunch special pricing is good, except for the shrimp dishes which ask $3 extra compared to every other protein. The staff are kind. I recommend this restaurant.

Johannes W.

Yelp
I have finally found a really good Chinese restaurant in Colorado Springs. They serve traditional Chinese food cooked expertly. This is a mom and pop restaurant that is very well done. Service is excellent and attentive. While the decor is not fancy, the feeling is comfortable and clean. This place will be my go to for Chinese from now on.

Yelp
I recently moved back down to springs from northern colorado where I had so many choices for various authentic Asian food, today on Christmas I was in search of a good place to pick up food and I was amazed at the unique authentic dishes this restaurant serves and also how close it is to me! I love Jajangmyeon and was surprised cause not many restaurants in southern Colorado serve it and usually have to go up north so that was already a win!The Jajangmyeon and Taiwan style beef noodle soup is amazing and I'll be back to try all the Szechuan dishes!

Vickie S.

Yelp
Good food and fast service - it's tucked away and therefore a best kept secret! Wide variety of dishes and sides
google avatar

Sam A.

Yelp
Family owned. Good service. Average food, large servings for about $13.00 per plate. Hot and sour soup good but should have been warmer. Sweat and sour chicken served dry you add sauce - poor and Chicken overdone. Cheese wantons just ok. Soda in a can. One Bathroom. Parking in this strip is difficult to find.
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
You will find some Authentic Chinese food here at Lanshing! Try their mapo tofu, sesame balls, ginger chicken, peanut with chicken feet - all delicious!

Pete J.

Yelp
Everything was good! Duck portion was generous and moo shoo pork was awesome.

Sean T.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant ever! The food is so delicious and fresh. I always get either the Singapore rice noodles or the sesame chicken. They do those dishes better than anywhere I've had before. I also recommend the crab cheese wantons or the fried pork wontons! The owners are super kind and give great service! I always feel very welcome coming in. The restaurant itself is always super clean and has a nice relaxed vibe. They also have the most impressive Rubber tree you'll ever see in Colorado.

Jae C.

Yelp
Food is ok. It's on the blander side but they do have a lot of authentic stuff. Might give it another go at some point but not anytime soon.

Cara D.

Yelp
I've eaten here once before and the food was delicious when we dined in. Today, we ordered take out and it was terrible. The sesame chicken was greasy/deep fried and really crunchy. The sauce was much too sweet. My friend got the sweet and sour chicken and it had no sauce and only a few vegetables. I guess the sauce comes on the side but it, too, was super sweet and not good. We honestly thought my sesame chicken got her sweet and sour sauce. We ordered online and she wanted fried rice but got brown rice instead which she said was very bland so she put some of the sweet and sour sauce on it - didn't help the taste. She said the sauce was just sweet and no sour. Egg rolls and soups were good. Will not be eating here in the future which is too bad because I've been looking for a good Chinese food restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Good chinese food! We recommend the sweet & sour pork which they separate the sauce when you order takeout so the pieces are still a bit crunchy by the time you get home. The sauce is not overly sweet and I think has a tinge of pineapple in it-- it's delicious. We also liked the tofu with mixed vegetables--the tofu is soft and the vegetables are fresh. The brown rice is nutty. If you are craving for Chinese food, try this restaurant. Some of the dishes are better than PF Chang's.

Devin Lane K.

Yelp
Went there to eat out with friends. Such friendly staff and the service was outstanding. Food was quickly brought out, and was very delicious. The cafe is small, but the friendliness, quick service and delicious food was definitely a winner. Great value!

Mary C.

Yelp
We recently moved from Southern California and have been looking for authentic Chinese food, we miss it so much. Shangri-La was really good! It has a combination of takeout favorites and traditional dishes. We loved the ginger scallion chicken and the happy family noodles. The staff is great too. We will 100% be back!

Diana H.

Yelp
I am a very big fan of Chinese food and I usually am disappointed with what I am served.....well not this place! I liked it so much I ate it twice this week! I had the sesame chicken one lunch and then kung pao chicken the next time and loved them both! Both had lots of flavor that I was very impressed with! The sesame chicken had a rich ginger flavor that was so yummy and the kung pao chicken had wonderfully fresh vegetables along with the peanuts, again yum! Will eat it again, and soon!

Bill B.

Yelp
Our Go-To Place to eat! Absolutely the best Chinese Restaurant my wife and I have eaten at. Every dish we try exceeds our expectations. Definitely a hidden gem!

Ben N.

Yelp
Great food, everything was fresh. I love the staff, mom and pop and very friendly! They have a wide variety on the menu. Resturant was very clean and felt new.

Yelp
Great, small restaurant. Parking can be a pain if the surrounding area is busy. The food is fantastic! Very flavorful and authentic. The family is so kind and friendly. We have gone a couple of times now. Their noodles in black bean sauce is great. We have also tried their spicy seafood noodle bowl and their vegetable lo mein. Everything great. My favorite by far is the spicy seafood noodle bowl. My definite go to now! Glad there is a place near me so I don't have to drive to Denver. Prices are comparable to other places, but the quality of food here is going to be hard to beat. Their broths are clean tasting, their noodles are perfect from start to finish, and the lo mein isn't as greasy feeling as other chinese places.
google avatar

Hunter M.

Yelp
We came here to get some gluten free dishes and the owner offered to make a bunch of different types of chicken just so we could have a variety! They were all delicious! We had a wonderful dinner and the owners were so nice. Great place for authentic Chinese food.

Holo T.

Yelp
My order had so much hair in it, it was like someone shaved their head into the fryer. I feel like I'm going to vomit.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for Asian food variety at a good price and hefty portions. There's a combination meal that has a lot of to offer and is so so good. I can't forget about the attentive and sweet staff either - Lanshing Cafe feels like home!

Tongchen W.

Yelp
The food comes fast and the service was great. It is THE place if you want authentic northern Chinese style food in ColoradoSprings

Matt T.

Yelp
Great Food and Fast service. Will be back . We really enjoyed dining here ......... can't wait to go back .

Krista J.

Yelp
This is the best Chinese food we have had in the Springs. The food and the service was great. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Kate S.

Yelp
First impression was very good. Different style of mapo which is very nice to even have the numbing wavy heat with the peppercorns. I will try again!
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
This place is everything you want in a little hole-in-the-wall Chinese place. The owner is Chinese. The food was amazing and she has so many different varieties of tea, I thought I was in a tea shop, not a restaurant. The Garlic beef was super garlicy and just a little spicy. Super tasty. Worth going again.

Robert M.

Yelp
It was good. Has traditional and American Chinese. Went with the American and have no complaints. They did have a traditional dessert which we tried. It was pretty good. Like a sweet rice doughnut.
google avatar

Alison D.

Yelp
Pretty average fried rice. Not bad - I'd go there again but it didn't knock my socks off. Your typical Chinese food and very friendly waitstaff. We were there after closing and I didn't feel rushed to finish my meal.
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
Pros: close, friendly, interesting menu, decent fairly Americanized Chinese food, kids loved it. Cons: interesting menu, it's Americanized chinese food, have had the worst gas of my life since eating there. Not sure if it's the oil used or what, but my wife and kids had the same issue. Funny to listen to and funnier to write, but pretty uncomfortable for all involved. I'd probably try it again.

Anne D.

Yelp
We order quite a bit from Lanshings Cafe .. so much that they know our order when I call. We always order their PORK CHOW FUN and a few other goodies to go along with it. It's fresh as are their EGG ROLLS and CRAB RANGOON. I love their EGG DROP SOUP ... the individual size is just enough. They have a unique sweet and sour sauce that we've never had before and really enjoy. Give them a try. They are a family restaurant, a real Mom and Pop kind of place. Fast too. Call ahead and then leave. More than likely, it will be ready to go as soon as you get there. Please tip well and support locally owned restaurants. We all need to keep small businesses alive during this Pandemic.
google avatar

Matt H.

Yelp
I'm confused about all these rave reviews; is there a different Lanshing Cafe that I don't know about? (That's rhetorical, by the way) The food poisoning I got from their less-than-mediocre food kind of sets the tone for my dislike of this place. The fried rice was flavorless, the crab cheese wontons were weirdly sweet and provided was an almost cloyingly sweet dipping sauce, and the flavor on the chicken was slightly less impressive than my lunch at Panda Express the week before. The only thing I liked about this place was the preparation of the chicken. You get nice, fat strips instead of the usual, questionable chunks of 'meat' you'll find at most Chinese joints. Still probably not worth the inconvenience of hugging a toilet for the next day and a half, but that's just me.
google avatar

Kirsten R.

Yelp
Stopped in to pick up food for a late lunch and I am completely hooked. It's been almost a week and I cannot stop craving the lo mein and egg rolls. Even my picky kids were asking for more.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
Such a great local Chinese spot! We recently moved here and tried it for the first time last week. We went again tonight and enjoyed it so much. So far we love the Orange Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Lomein, Vegetable Egg Foo Young, Egg Rolls and the Jasmine Tea. Chou and her husband are very kind and friendly and work so hard to make a nice experience for others. We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Clarissa C.

Yelp
My boyfriend's family and I were on vacation in Colorado Springs and we picked this restaurant to eat at because it had a high review. Unfortunately the only thing edible was the egg rolls. My boyfriend's sisters both ordered the king pao chicken and said it tasted fishy. When they mentioned it to the waitress and she blamed it on the pots they used to cook. Instead of offering to get them something else or trying to make the situation better in any way, she was making excuses and got upset with them. I ordered the chicken with stir fried mushrooms and when I received the plate, I couldn't tell what meat was on it but it certainly did not look like chicken. I didn't even attempt to try it because of how unappetizing it looked. Again, I did like the egg rolls but that was about it.

Yelp
This place is small, but clean. There are not many tables, so I suspect they get a lot of take out orders. The food is amazing!!! Everything is made to order, fresh, and you can tell they love what they do. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The spring rolls are the best I have ever had and their Hunan sauce is delicious. This is our favorite place for Chinese dishes!!
