"This unusual and unexpected restaurant, occupying an old bakery tucked away in a corner of the Plaza Mayor (remnants of the old ovens can still be seen embedded in the stone walls) is striking both for its setting, its medieval ambience, and its cuisine, the latter centred around a fusion of Japanese cooking with zero-mile ingredients from the Segarra area. Everything here revolves around two menus: an “executive” menu available at lunchtime, (Tuesday to Friday only), plus a tasting-style option." - Michelin Inspector

I visited L'antic Forn on a rainy day. The reason for my visit was to try Calçotada, a dish only available in winter. It's located about 300 meters inside from the main street of La Rambla. Weekday evenings start at 7:30 PM. The restaurant was clean and many guests were already dining. I ordered Calçotada and steak. Calçotada tastes like grilled Korean green onions, with the sweetness and texture of onions being exceptional. It's served with Romesco sauce, which enhances the sweetness. Paired with a red wine recommended by the staff, the wine was also excellent and I was able to finish dinner successfully. I will definitely visit again on my next trip to Barcelona."

My husband and I had lunch at this lovely traditional Spanish restaurant and really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and felt very authentic. Everything we tried was full of flavor and clearly made with care. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty food and a great dining experience!

It’s a hidden little gem that is not so hidden - I would not have thought to go into this place other than because the local I was with recommended it - and god did it come through. You must try the chicken, it’s absolutely beautiful. The lamb chops were not big enough in my opinion but still they tasted very good. The one thing I was looking forward to trying was the rabbit, but unfortunately they didn’t have it… give it a try! Def recommended.

Really recommend place! Traditional tasty food, variety of choice and fresh ingredients. (Recommend the T Bone, garlic shrimps and the salmon!!) The staff really friendly, feel like home. Everything I eat it was so delicious. If you come to Barcelona you must go!

I really wanted to try calcotada after seeing Anthony Bourdain talking about it in one of his shows, so when I was doing research this was the one place serving it in Barcelona. Came during lunch hour without a reservation and they were super accommodating even though they were full so we were able to sit and order the famous calcotada, which is in every way delicious and worth coming to try it. The service here was obviously fantastic. I wish I had more time to come back and actually try the food because it look really good. Will def come back next time I am in Barcelona!

The food was good, but the service wasn't perfect - we asked if they have sangria de vino blanco but got another version of sangria instead. Patatas bravas, fried squid, cuttlefish and oxtail ragú were tasty. We tried crema Catalana for dessert for the first time and didn't like it that much, but the taste was what we expected.

Very nice and tidy restaurant. Waitress was so pleasant and helpful. Their specialty - calçots were delicious and served quickly. The Paella and croquettes were exquisite as well. We were all absolutely satisfied with the whole experience. Gem of a restaurant just 5 minutes off La Rambla. Worth visiting.

The best and must-go restaurant. I had Calçot, t-bone steak, artichoke. People here was very kind and made me happy. And calçot was very good and they let me know how to eat kindly. Steak was very best i ever eat in barcellona. So smoky, thick, and juicy. Also it is very cheap. I suggest you to eat in this restaurant.
