This is possibly one the best pizzas I have ever had. And I have eaten pizza in Italy. Thin crust, homemade sauce, wood burning. If you really know what good pizza is, you will appreciate this pizza! Salads are good too, and kids loved the gelato.

The pizza is very good. The atmosphere is ok. Prices are high, but overall I liked the experience. Good value for money.

We were out for a walk and stopped by your pizzeria. The first thing we asked was whether we could use the restroom. The waiter in the photo said no — the restroom is for customers only. That immediately made us lose any interest in becoming customers, so we left. In this day and age, refusing someone access to a restroom feels impolite and gives the impression of a low-tier pizzeria.

The pizza here tastes truly like the pizza in Italy, the only thing is that I think the margherita could have had more cheese and the Diavola pizza could have had more salami, especially if the price of the pie is almost $30. The other observation is that the bathrooms were lacking toilet paper and paper towels, which unfortunately hinders the experience. The beet salad was excellent, and the location is great right on State St.

We had a great meal at L'Antica Santa Barbara. While we really liked our pizza (more on that in a sec), we especially loved the other menu items we shared. The arancini are hearty and cheesy - more than most. They were pretty filling on their own and very tasty/crunchy. The eggplant parmesan rolls were absolutely delicious and delicate in a zesty sauce. The tagliatelle pasta in pesto was some of the most perfectly cooked pasta I've had in some time (my in-laws are Italian, so I'm familiar). The pizzas are larger and cheesier than most Neapolitan pies, which makes them more fork n knife pies - very floppy otherwise. We had the Casareta (I think) with house sausage and chopped broccolini. Very good! A busser mistakenly tossed our remaining pizza, but they apologized and immediately offered a full replacement pizza. A very courteous and professional response! We also enjoyed the mini canoli and coffee (Americano and latte) made to perfection by our very knowledgeable server. We found it to be worth the drive up from Ventura County for future visits!

Google
Cool, old, Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara. Tight menu for drinks and food but perfectly freshly prepared and exactly as advertised. Italian classics like Milanese and pizza make this a great spot for a warm and delicious meal.

Great experience. The eggplant Parmesan was delicious. Cacio & Pepe spaghetti were also great. Pizza was okay.

The decor and atmosphere couldn’t be more perfect. I had the best experience with an amazing manager who was so accommodating and friendly! If you’re looking for amazing pizza, pasta, wines and appetizers look no further. Thank you, I’ll be back again!

Yelp
Not sure how to respond to the business owner, but actually the host did not offer a later time. We asked if there was an opening later in the evening and he said no. If he had offered 8 pm, we would've accepted. He could've said 11pm and we would've said yes because we were so committed to having your pizza. Just tried to stop in for an early dinner - we'd been talking about it all week as we're in the area for the film fest and love this pizza. We asked for a table for two and the host simply said "No, sorry." We laughed thinking he was joking. No reaction. So we said "wait, you don't have any tables available?" There's literally one table seated. The host says "no, sorry, we're soooo booked. Too booked, actually." Then he turns away to talk to the bartender. As we walked out, we checked open table to see if there were time slots available and it appears wide open. I'm just baffled by the lack of customer service and apathy.

Yelp
We got the: Soup of the day (tomato soup) 3/5 It was a bit bland. The bread that came with it had a layer of olive oil which was (very) bitter. On notifying the server, they got us a fresh basket of bread. French fries 4/5 Margarita pizza 3/5 their crust is really chewy. The flavors of the pizza did not stand out. Pesto 4/5 probably one of the better ones. A third pizza I can't remember 3/5 came with a center of burrata We notified the server that we had a birthday in the group and they got us a bowl of hazelnut-vanilla gelato on the house. That was the best thing on their menu - 5/5 Ambience and music were good. Restrooms: all-gender, accessible, clean and well-maintained. Parking: paid lots nearby.

Yelp
For our first night in Santa Barbara we were craving pizza and found this restaurant online. We were excited to give it a try because of its roots in Naples and high rating. We unfortunately were very disappointed. We began with the appetizer of flor del calabaza and it was just over fried and okay wouldn't order again. For our main we went with the Arugula & prosciutto pizza it was a good size but again it was just okay. For a wood-fired oven pizza it wasn't fully toasted at the bottom it gave no resemblance to any of the pizzas I've had in Naples. Honestly -- if you are in town visiting for a couple of days you're better off finding another place If you are craving pizza.

Yelp
Good solid Italian. Not magnificent, but good. The service? Eh. I love the pizza though. The dough is perfection. Pastas are on the small side, so keep that in mind when you're ordering cuz one won't fill you up. Like the outdoor patio!

Yelp
I made a reservation on Saturday for dinner on Sunday (last night) at 7:00 pm. At 6:11 pm I received the following message: "Good Evening Wendy, This is Maggie from L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele. We did not receive a confirmation for your reservation this evening. We look forward to hosting you another evening in the future. Have a good night!" I had not received any other text message from the restaurant that day. I responded: "I did not receive a request for a reservation confirmation. We are planning to be there at 7:00 pm." I received the following response: "Wendy, we've already done last call for the evening. Would you like us to reschedule you for another time?" I received no response to my bewildered replies. I am extremely unhappy as to what happened and how it was handled. I did not reschedule. My husband and I ate here about a year ago. The margherita pizza was divine but the service was terrible. We received our meal in reverse order: first the pizza, then the appetizer, and last the drinks. That's why it took us a year to return but the pizza was so good we thought we'd give it another try and see if the service had improved. Apparently not.

Yelp
L'antica Pizzeria Da Michele has been on my places to try for a while. My friends have mentioned that this is their favorite pizza spot of all time so I had to try it. I do live closer to the location in Los Angeles but I'm rarely in that area, and since I was out in Santa Barbara for work I decided to finally give it a go here. The hostess that answered the phone was a sweetheart and very hospitable and friendly. This trip I ordered the Arugula & Prosciutto pizza since that's my go to style at most places. The pizza was a lot bigger than I had originally anticipated in the best way possible. Even though the pizza was a little more expensive than most I didn't give it a second thought. But the size was tremendous, and it could feed a couple of people easily. It was a very pleasant surprise for sure. Since I'm rarely in downtown SB, I wasn't really sure where to park, but the hostess told me what lot to park in and so I was able to find parking and then walk to where the restaurant was. It looks like a very cool area to be dining at. But they don't like the largest, so it could possibly be very crowded on busy days. I am so glad to be able to have tried the pizza here. I will definitely be back in the future. It was amazing and I can't wait to try the other items here.

Yelp
Great food, service, and ambience! We loved this place for the perfect girls night! The server was super nice to waive our corkage fee too!!

Yelp
Was pretty shocked to see Da Michele here! I missed it when visiting Napoli years ago and trying lots of pizza. Not sure why they were here, but they did fit in fine nicely with all of the Spanish architecture. Made a point to checking it out before I left town. Got seated in the sidewalk which I'm not huge on as it was dull/disconnected from the restaurant; I would preferred the courtyard (which was nice) or inside by the pizza oven given I had a reservation, however I was told that the sidewalk was the only place available which is lame. Service was slow, calibrated to European standards. Normally I'd go with it, however my aunt had to take a pill, so couldn't really wait an hour for 2 pizzas that take 90sec each to cook in the wood burning oven. Staff was legitimately apologetic which matters, as this was largely caused by them not being able to handle a large party (20+ people) inside. Got some southern Italian wines (Nero D'Avola, Falaghina) which I liked and my aunt tolerated. She's a wine snob, but I love souther Italian wines even if they're not the most nuanced. For an appetizer we split the fried calamari and shrimp. This was a perfect appetizer I'd get in Italy. I loved that they fried up some zucchini and fennel too. The pizzas (when they came) which very different. The margherita was very well done, although a bit bigger than you typically get in Napoli. Nice balance of sauce to cheese. The marinara was inedible. The sauce they used overpowered the pizza, was overspiced and a chore to eat. They also used way too much of it--much more than would be added in Italy--which exacerbated the problem. We sent it back. Finished up with pasta bolognese, which was a great rendition of a classic. Not my absolute favorite rendition however thoroughly satisfying. Skipped dessert given the other mishaps. Might come back here for lunch, as it seems like the service is not ready for prime time as others noted. Interesting that we fared better with regular food versus pizza. Would give this another shot in their NY branch, where I suspect there is less margin for error.

Yelp
Their food is pretty average/typical of an Italian pizza place. They are able to accommodate groups easily, and great location in downtown SB, with a parking lot nearby. So it's convenient for a sit-down restaurant. Biggest con was that we were seated outside on a warm summer day, with unfortunately no umbrella shade. My father-in-law is bald, and his head got burned. Food-wise, everything was as to be expected, nothing mind-blowing, but not bad either!
google avatar

Madii L.

Yelp
I came here with my friend for the first time and the food was SO good, probably my favorite place to get pizza in downtown SB. I enjoyed how they provided chili oil, chili flakes, and parmesan cheese to give you a variety of seasonings. I had never had a cannoli before this place and I assure this, they definitely do not disappoint. Definitely plan on bringing my family here sometime!

Yelp
This is a wonderful business. We had pizza and pasta and it was the best!! The server was great and the food was fantastic....can't beat that combination.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying that the food (pizza) was good, and fast! The eggplant rolls were so-so. I think it was the sauce that I didn't care for. Something about the texture didn't appeal to me. Personal preference I'm sure. I didn't have a reservation, but I saw some open seating on a Saturday night, however, she sat me at the pizza bar with the refrigeration lid in my face the entire night. Mind you, the entire pizza bar area had no patrons at all, and she sits me in front of the open lid. Thanks! The pizza maker was very courteous and friendly, and even grabbed my order before the server came around. Before I know it, the pizza was being delivered, but not by the server. The not so pleasant side of my visit was with Bogi. (At least, that's what my receipt says.) Anyway, he started off with a "used car salesman" attitude because he saw the pizza maker asking me if he could get anything started. After that initial visit, he was hardly seen. I'm not sure if it was where I was seated, or because I was by myself, or what? In fact, other servers, the chef, and bussers even saw I looked bored waiting. The glass of wine was delivered by the bar, the food delivered by another individual, and Bogi came by only a couple times to check if I wanted another glass of wine (which was still half full), or to drop off the check (without asking if I even wanted dessert.) As a pastry chef, I thought about dessert, but I was already checked out by his lack of service. Like I mentioned, the pizza was good, and large! I actually took some home (box was provided by someone other than my server). Would I try going back the next time I'm in the area, possibly. Btw...my tips are a reflection of actual service provided, and "customary" minimum. I didn't provide the suggested 18% because I barely got the minimum.

Yelp
The food was so delicious and very very fresh! We had the Margareta thin Pizza, salmon, and chicken Marsala! Service was impeccable! Ambiance was very pleasant. We sat outside to gather the fresh air

Yelp
The pizza was pretty similar to the original in Naples. I really enjoyed the pizza it was great quality. I ordered the Diavola one. I wasn't a big fan of the pasta. I would go just for the pizza. Cannolis were good too. Service was kind of slow but I think it's just slow in Santa Barbara

Yelp
Hi Francesco, Just to clarify, my party was not late and never intended to be late. We planned to be there at 4pm (which as the screenshots confirmed, was the time of the reservation). The restaurant stated that they closed at 4pm, which was the time of the reservation. That is the issue here, not us being on time. Please take the time to read the review before copy and pasting a generic response about us being late, because that was not the case.

Yelp
Too loud - staff was rude. Second pizza did not get started so the kids were hungry. I will not go back.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Santa Barbara! The pizza here is simply some of the best you will ever eat! Services impeccable, the restaurant is gorgeous. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. It is all delicious! Worth every penny, the quality of the ingredients and attention to detail are unsurpassable. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Terrible experience. Walked in at 8:10pm only to be turned away because the kitchen is closed. Please change your hours to closed at 8 not 9 Anyway, vibe was low there. We got divinely guided to Mizza and were seated at 8:20pm with tons of welcoming vibes! I recommend Mizza, it's just around the corner. don't bother going to this joke of a restaurant.

Yelp
Delicious pizza with the thinnest dough. We ordered Diavolo. Mouthwatering eggplant rolls. Broccolini was floating in butter, unfortunately, but was cooked to perfection. Without butter this side dish would be more palatable to me. Service was ok, it looked like the place was understaffed. It is sad to see, because they have a great tasting food and great location.

Yelp
Went here this past weekend to celebrate an anniversary. We got seated right away with choice of table. Lots of seating on the inside, there were a few people occupying the outside patio already. Gorgeous interior & exterior with tall windowpanes & high ceiling. Snazzy, peaceful, cozy, & romantic vibes. Ceasar salad was the best I've ever had! Cacio pasta was very salty, creamy, & thick, but was also pretty good. Service was cordial & quick. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Awesome to have another branch of our favorite Neapolitan pizza stateside. My family and I sat in the inviting patio (smaller than the courtyard in Hollywood, but just as comfortable) and ordered up a ton including double margherita and caserta pies, cacio e pepe, tagliatelle al pesto, and pappardelle genovese. The pizza was just as derricious as we had remembered, especially the margherita for its fresh cheese, bright sweet tomato sauce, and impeccably thin crust. The pastas were all impressive though the cacio e pepe did stand a little taller than the others. Finally, the meatballs were tender and piping hot upon arrival. Service was quite good throughout our meal and heat lamps were blazing away to keep us warm during a chillier evening.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
We were drawn in by the patio which looked intimate and festive. Indoors looked nice too, but empty. It was a little before 8pm, when they stopped seating people, and we were initially waved off, but when we pointed out it wasn't yet 8 o'clock, so we were seated, not in the patio which had uncleared tables, but at a sidewalk table. We ordered a margherita pizza and maccherocini bolognese. The pizza was tissue paper thin and wet. It splashed on my shorts. The crust was lightly charred but the bottom of the pizza was very undercooked. There is no "fold and hold" with this soupy mess. Is this the pizza other reviewers were raving about? The bolognese was worse. The sauce was pasty and tasted burnt. It had clearly been simmering unattended too long and had probably been packed away for the night and pulled from the walk-in and reheated for us. Such a disappointment. I find it hard to believe this is the dining experience that propelled the growth of this bicoastal franchise. My opinion is that someone is not paying attention, or is only making announced visits, which are handled differently than regular patrons. I understand it's State Street in Santa Barbara, so there will be a steady stream of tourists regardless of the quality and consistency of the food, but our experience was below average for an established restaurant.

Rich M.

Yelp
Strangely mixed results. Twice I've ordered pizzas to go here--both Margherita Pizzas; 1st one was outstanding, like I couldn't believe how good, great flavor--best I've had of that type, actually. But the 2nd one, a few months later, was flat (like flatbread flat!) with very little flavor and I couldn't believe it was from the same place. I guess that can happen, very inconsistent quality, but when I got my bank statement, they overcharged me by about $4 the second time, enough to complain about for a one item order. I left two VMs over a couple of days, then sent an e-mail through their website. No response at all. So now I'm filing a complaint with my bank, writing two bad reviews, and I will never go back, not because they overcharged me, but because they showed zero concern for me, the customer. Well I ain't gonna be one anymore.

Yelp
First time here and it was such a great experience. My husband and I were visiting from LA (yes I know we have a location in Hollywood but it's too far of a trek) so we decided to try this place out. I'd heard great things about the one in Hollywood but we're rarely in that area. What we ordered: eggplant rolls - great start to the meal. 4 rolls with 2 slices of toast to sop up some sauce. Perfect for 2 people. We devoured them. Diavola Pizza - the pizza was big! Definitely more than enough for 2 people, you'd each get 4 slices. The spicy Sopressata was crispy and salty and delicious. A fancy pepperoni pizza in the best way Cacio E Pepe - we probably didn't need this extra dish but oh well...it was creamy and cheesy and so comforting. Pasta was thick and al dente. Overall we had a wonderful meal and would recommend if you're looking for a low key, delicious Italian restaurant
google avatar

Frank P.

Yelp
Probably the best true Italian pizza around. I like this location better than the Hollywood store. You can people watch everyone on State Street. Service is very good, and they have the best pizza in Santa Barbara.
google avatar

Amanda P.

Yelp
Our pizza was so good we went back for a second one later that night! The crust had great flavor and the toppings were fresh. The patio is nice to sit at and enjoy people watching.

Yelp
Visited two times on weekdays, once in the early evening and the other around noon with my dad. The only difference with those two visits were that earlier in the day it's almost empty and later it gets packed. I lowkey thought the server was cute . The food was DELICIOUS and the pizza is perfect. The hospitality is wonderful as well!! Servers did a good job overall.
google avatar

Yelp
I could not have asked for a better date night spot! Wow - great food and ambiance! It is pricey so keep that in mind if that's a factor. I came here for dinner at the end of February. To start I had a glass of their Sangiovese which went so well with the meatballs we ordered to start. The meatballs had a good amount of soft, flavor and moist texture - perfect! For the mains we ordered the Pappardelle Genovese and Pizza Diavola to share. The pasta noodle were cooked al dente and were nice and thick to hold the short rib sauce. I wished that I didn't have to share that plate! And the pizza blew me away too. The pairing of the sopressatta with the wood fired pizza was a treat! To finish we ordered their affogato...oohhh mmyyyyyyyyy so good! Then we grabbed cannolis to go! I'd come back here in a heart beat. It's in such a great location and if you're looking for Italian this is where you should go but make sure to make a reservation or call ahead because it books up quick!

Yelp
First time coming here. Nice outdoor patio area - could use a fan to keep the flies at bay. I ordered the lunch calzone and we split the Caesar salad. Both very good. Calzone was deep fried but I think that really helped keep the outside light and crisp. Sausage could have used a little more flavor. The portion was huge - I could only eat half. Caesar was tasty, I really enjoyed the dressing. I definitely want to try some of the other interesting looking salads next time. Service was quick. I believe that the restaurant is owned by an Italian couple so it definitely encompasses Italy vibes

Albert C.

Yelp
Staff were very attentive even tho it was quite busy. Luke kept his cool and did a great job managing all the parties. As always the food was authentic Italian and of very high quality ingredients.

Sparkle Pony C.

Yelp
We loved the pizza! They had some great wine pairings to go with. I recommend the outside patio with heaters

Cate N.

Yelp
We walked in at 4:00. No one around. No hostess. Five tables had not been cleared. One table of people. We waited and waited. Still no one to greet us. This is a terrible way to run a business. Messy, no greeting. No people in the place. No thanks. If I'm going to spend this kind of money, I expect much more.

thea H.

Yelp
I loved this location ......I referred sooooo many diners here........BUT the last two visits for lunch on a Saturday were disastrous! My guests and I walked out both times ( a month apart) because there was no staff on the floor and hardly a soul in the kitchen! what happened to my restaurant? I will not be disappointed again.....since there are other Santa Barbara restaurants to discover. I hope the management reads this very honest but SAD experience

Yelp
You can think of Neapolitan pizza as the original "Pizza 1.0" Whether or not you ultimately "bond" with this style of pizza, you should try pizza the way that its creators envisioned it at least once. The pizzas are about 15-16 inches in diameter. The crust is perfectly fermented. The ultra-fast bake time (about 45 seconds) is their "secret sauce". The final texture is superior and the small amounts of charring (which is NOT burned) adds an essential flavor note to the crust. The crust itself is extremely tender, almost crepe-like. It is traditionally a "knife and fork" pizza, but our pizzas came pre-sliced. I would suggest requesting getting it cut into four pieces, so that you can hold each slice in a "V'" formation. The pizza will likely be "wetter" than you've had. To minimize that I suggest ordering the Marinara pizza, the Margherita (without double cheese) or a Bianco (no tomato sauce). I've been fortunate in that I've visited the Da Michele locations in Florence and in Rome and Hollywood. The pizzas that I had in Florence haunt my dreams. I've had plenty of good Neapolitan pizza before, but this was truly ethereal. I'm delighted to say that the Santa Barbara location is 95% as good; within the normal variation you'll get with rustic pizzas such as these, and we have the additional benefit of having several additional menu items that are not offered in Italy. The cacio e pepe pasta (basically Italian mac and cheese) is a standout. The wine list is loaded with fabulous imported Italian wine, and I'm sure that you'll be delighted with whatever you choose. Finally, the staff was extremely friendly, gracious and accommodating to a pizza nut like me.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere and great staff. I had been wanting to try this place out since it opened and I finally did. I went with a group of 10 and really enjoyed the experience. Our server was very knowledgeable in regards to the menu and wine list. We ordered a few bottles and sort of did a sharing menu. We ordered many items with pizza and pasta and shared them all. I really enjoyed the pesto pasta with the burrata. The server told us that with the crazy rain and road closures the burrata isn't their usual but either was it was good. Really enjoyed the pizzas! Super delicious. We ordered another pasta but cannot recall the name of it but the pasta was perfectly al dente. I definitely recommend the pizzas and pasta. Yes it's a bit pricey but it's worth it. Great place for a dinner date.
google avatar

Kirit S.

Yelp
Amazing service from our server, Bogdan, who took a lot of time to explain how many of the items were prepared, and how L'Antica did things differently. Absolutely amazing food. A live band at the early part of evening helped improve the experience, setting the right tone.

Yelp
Food was superb! Get the Margherita pizza. Quaint courtyard with stringed lights and a beautiful lion wall fountain. Service: a miss. Room for improvement. Recommend. Cheers!

Yelp
Awesome experience! Live music (on a Wednesday!) and chill atmosphere. Very accommodating. Dogs allowed on the patio (and water provided in a proper dog bowl). Napoli style pizza (know what you're getting and you won't be disappointed) 10/10. Reminds me of Isola in Little Italy, San Diego (except maybe twice the price point, but it's Santa Barbara so that's to be expected, and by no means was it overpriced or anything, in fact I'd say worth every penny) and they even have a Sangiovese by the glass. What more could you ask for!
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
Had a nice dinner here last night. A variety of pasta and pizzas to choose from. We enjoyed the ceasar salad and the sausage pizza. The pizza was very yummy...nice thin crust and big in flavor. We enjoyed sitting Al fresco with a heat lamp. Service was super friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Let me state, straight off the bat, that my husband and I did NOT go here for the pizza. We were hungry from seeing the "Sistine Chapel" exhibit at the Santa Barbara mission, so we were really looking for an Italian place that was open and seemed low-key and quiet. . . basically NOT a lot of people. We came across Da Michele because we hadn't been here before. . . and it was a GREAT FIND. We started off with the Mediterranean Tuna Salad. This salad was note-worthy. The seared tuna was fresh and flavorful. Then, my husband ordered the Calzone which he devoured. I believe it was his custom request of sausage and pepperoni, but I could be mistaken. I ordered, on the other hand, the Melanzane Parmigiana, and man, was this dish EXCELLENT. Our waiter/server was Jean Luc. And I'll never forget his name because of the the namesake of the Star Trek captain, Jean Luc Picard. . . but that's besides the point. He was attentive and friendly, and the rest of the staff was just sweet. I'd definitely come here again. Bravo.

Yelp
he service was excellent; they graciously allowed us to have our three dogs outside, and everyone was incredibly friendly to our furry companions. Additionally, the food and drinks were outstanding. Their chili oil was particularly noteworthy; I would have purchased a jar if it were available for sale. Furthermore, their wine list was impressive, featuring my favorite wine.I also loved their outdoor patio.

Yelp
This restaurant has a nice interior and nice employees, but I think the food can be just a little better with some things in mind. I ordered the arugula salad, margherita pizza, cacio e pepe, and gnocco fritto (deep fried pizza dough). The arugula salad was good, but the grapefruit did not complement the dish. The arugula already has a bitterness to it, so the grapefruit made it a lot more bitter. Their pizzas are very large! I was very shocked because the price were comparable to other artisanal pizza restaurants in town. The middle was a bit soggy, but I think that is because of the size of the pizza. I didn't like that the pizza was a little cold. The cacio e pepe was missing a richness to it. It had that strong cheese flavor, but the sauce was a little watery. The dish was also on the colder side. I expect my food to be hot if it is fresh. The gnoccho fritto were kind of like prosciutto sliders. I enjoyed them, but I didn't like how the arugula was drenched in olive oil. I feel like it could have had some acidity to balance the flavor. The employees are very welcoming, I just think the food can be stepped up a little.

Yelp
Funny for all I've heard about this restaurant & its history, the name, and the dominant pizza menu, the salad, of all things, was the stand out. Not at all what I would have thought or anticipated. First, our pizza was cold. Sent it back no problem. It came back swiftly, a little charred, but with the more basil requests made, and hot, certainly more what you would expect coming out of their famed oven. I just can't rave about it. It was just....I feel surprised to say....okay. Not very swoonable. But the beet salad was radiant. Multiple layers of texture and flavor, nuts, greens, thick cut beets, and heavenly balsamic. Love the wine list being simple and Italian focused. I felt secure they were all excellent. And does help transport you to Italy a bit. I got the feeling of things being under control here and the servers were snappy. Appreciate that. The interior felt a little cold and uninteresting, so I'm glad we sat outside. Recommend it. More charming and plenty of tables for 1-3 diners and roomy tables for big groups. Lunch menu is good also.

Yelp
Eating here makes me wonder if these are franchises because this spot wasn't close to as amazing as the Los Angeles location. The place was empty during lunch on a Friday, which was a red flag. The food was just ok, but it should have been fantastic! Hmm.

Yelp
Well we had yet to try this place. We are regulars at Mizza Pizza and used to be regulars at Oppi's before they closed. Things didn't start out too great as there was an employee sitting right at the end of the bar on a laptop with no one attending the host stand and the person didn't even turn around to acknowledge our presence and say someone would be right with us. We stood there for a good 10 minutes. A man came in with something and went and talked to that employee who got a manager from the back and she helped him whatever he needed first. I contemplated leaving as I had my daughter and her friend with me and they were hungry but the manager did come to the front desk right before we went to leave. Additionally the host desk/bar area WREAKED of "Fabuloso" cleaner. There are professional disinfecting cleaners that do not have that strong odor it's very off putting coming into a restaurant getting slapped in the face with the strongest smelling cleaner on the market. We were sat at a great table and greeted immediately by a service assistant who gave us water. The server came by and took our drink order and an appetizer order. We ordered the fried pizza dough with prosciutto and burrata. We had not even received our drinks yet but got the appetizer. We were surprised to see that it was more of a slider sandwich than what we expected which was that the prosciutto and the cheese would be fried inside of the dough but it was pretty good all things being fair and equal. We then ordered the citrus salad and the Margherita Pizza. The citrus salad was absolutely wonderful and perfectly portioned. The pizza was huge and tasted good but the only criticism was that the crust was a little floppy and soggy and we wish that it had a little more body to it. I had an aperol Spritz and my daughter had a Shirley Temple. The drinks were prepared beautifully and garnished in a lovely manner I just wish that they had come out before our appetizer. Also there is not good cell reception inside the restaurant and there is no guest Wi-Fi which I think would be a good thing to add. The server was very congenial and professional and was a pleasure to be served by her. I would like to give this place a five-star but they need to clean up their act as far as attending the front door and I would like to see a little bit improvement with the pizza crust.

Yelp
I am so torn about this restaurant. I want it to succeed so badly because the space is beautiful. We have gone twice and I will probably give them a third chance before completely writing them off. First time we went we had amazing wine and the pasta was delicious. However the service was not good. Not because they weren't nice, they just did not know what they were doing. Second time we went the food was sooooo slow to come out, pizza was cold, pasta was way too salty. The server had to apologize for how long it all took and the food. He asked me to please give them another chance, I will, but I'm very skeptical.

Yelp
Our first few visits have been good and the pizza is pretty good . It's not as good as the one in Naples Italy . I would say our last 3 or 4 times back the food and the service have dropped off. My wife had dinner there last night with her girlfriends. She always orders the Pappardelle Genovese it's usually her favorite. She said it had no meat in it . And again the service wasn't great . I think we will cool off for a while. Hopefully they can make some positive changes.
