Where To Eat Hot Pot Outside In NYC

"Lan Ting in Sunset Park offers $21 AYCE hot pot with eight different base broths, like kimchi, pig bone, tomato, and herbs. Their hot pots come with dividers so it’s easy to keep track of cooking time, and you have the option to request two different broths. Unlike Lao Jie Hot Pot in the same neighborhood, there’s no dessert included on Lan Ting’s AYCE menu, but they do serve bubble tea and a bunch of other juices." - hannah albertine

Very Honest Reviews

Overall this is a solid hot pot restaurant that is all you can eat including meat! I would definitely recommend this place as the price is decent and the quality is really good. They are pretty generous with the portions of meats, vegetables, etc. The choice of soups was pretty standard, I got the pork bone and it was on par with other hot pot places I have tried. The service was really good and the waitress was very nice and attentive. I have to say that the restaurant‘s aesthetics are the best, especially the basement area. You have to go upstairs to grab the sauces. Speaking of the sauces, they have a special/secret house sauce that was simply amazing! I couldn’t stop dipping everything into this. We came here for a family birthday, but I wasn’t aware that there was a special offer on yelp for a free birthday meal. we were in the basement so I had no reception. Make sure you don’t miss out on this like I did!

A nice AYCE hotpot option. Loved the create your own dipping sauce bar. Good selection of meat, seafood, veggies and starch. Brain was very interesting. Dishes came out fast after ordering. Good stock options and attentive service.

All you can eat hotpot with descent price. Advantage: all you can eat. Small pots so you can take your own preference. The choices of food is rich, you have pork, chicken, beef, lamb, seafood and vegetables. Disadvantage: parking. We went around 7:00 p.m. and it takes half an hour to find a parking lot. Drinks are quite sweet, we add some water and then it tastes good. Other notes: Overall I recommend it for local area because of its descent price. At the mean time, I don't fell like it worth 3 hours round way driving and half an hour parking as we also have all you can eat hotpot in our local area. Buffet usually tastes similar, especially hotpot.

This place is environmental friendly with kind and helpful staff, every time I've been here is like an experience I never felt before when I go to restaurants. The food quality is made from the freshest ingredients. The rice in the stone pot was cooked to almost perfection with satisfying sticky rice on the bottom of the bowl after you finished. The presentation of all the food is outstanding! Would defiantly rate this restaurant as 10/10! And would defiantly recommend all your family and friends to come and eat here sometime soon!

All you can eat hot pot was an amazing value (includes meat and seafood). My friend is vegetarian but their AYCE price was still worth it. There is a two hour limit, and they stay very busy during dinner so expect at least a 20min wait. The ice cream (one scoop each) at the end was delicious too. They have an upstairs and downstairs area. One bathroom on each floor.

Food is pretty good here. They have a larger selection of seafood here than most other places. If you have a group of 4or more, you can check-in on yelp for two free lobsters. They are small but hey it's free. Just a single bathroom in the basement which is definitely not enough. It's also located in a tight corner. Very friendly staff but not always attentive or maybe most of them were food runners and not enough waiters.

there are a few of these places in the area, but this is why you should make sure you go here! (My first visit) The staff are very friendly and welcoming, I felt like I had been here a million times with the way they greeted me. They seemed a little surprised that I came in alone but made sure I was comfortable. The server was very sweet and she walked me through the process of ordering very quickly and efficiently and made a few suggestions that I tried out. With Hot pot restaurants you do get served very quickly, so that was expected, it stands out because the broth I got (pig bone) was not only presented adorably (bamboo shoot was tied in a little bow, so cute), but also so flavorful I actually FORGOT to get sauce to add to it. The whole staff works together to make sure your pot doesn't overflow, that your pot is refilled when low, and they will even explain how make sure something is cooked correctly. Another plus of Lan Ting is that if you do want to be a bit adventurous and try something new, there is no limit to what you can add. I got a few things I had never tried before and although they weren't all up my ally, I was glad to have the chance to try it out. At the end (I ALMOST finished the huge portion I ordered) I was presented with a small milk/tapioca dessert to cool my mouth down and a stick of gum. I was seated in the cute downstairs area, and they play music videos with a mix of Asian pop music and some American pop hits on the main TV. There are large tables and small tables so you can take a date/friend or your whole family. The cost is reasonable for all you can eat! For me, this place is a few blocks further than a similar resturant, but it is definitely worth it, even in freezing cold weather. I wish I could eat here every single day! BONUS: if you are a student you get a $2 discount, sadly this doesn't apply to me but still awesome.
