L'Ardoise

"This restaurant, whose walls are covered in slate, wears its name well! It pays a pleasing tribute to bistro heritage by means of its style and also its food – chicken pâté en croûte, foie gras and ceps; fillet of beef with black pepper and pommes Anna; lemon meringue tartlet; crème brûlée – a feast of generous, fresh and tasty dishes!" - Michelin Inspector

L'Ardoise Bistro Review - Duboce Triangle - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"L’Ardoise Bistro is a cozy, red velvet curtain-accented French bistro on a quaint corner in Duboce Triangle. Think of this place like Hopper’s Nighthawk come to life, but the Paris edition. The menu is a collection of classic French bistro dishes, like fall-apart duck confit with pommes landaises, creamy tiger prawn ravioles, and mushroom risotto. Everything is well-executed, and seems perfectly designed to evoke nostalgic feelings of life in the French countryside. Whatever you do, don’t skip out on the floating island dessert—which is the lightest fluffiest meringue on the planet, covered with almonds, condensed milk, and strawberry." - Ricky Rodriguez

Incredible food and great service just off the beaten path. Best white asparagus I’ve had and the scallops were amazing! It’s a small place so recommend arriving early to get a table. Appeared to be a favorite upscale lunch meeting spot for locals.

Restaurant L’Ardoise is a charming bistro tucked away in the heart of Paris, offering a delightful blend of traditional French cuisine with a modern twist. Located on the quiet Rue du Mont Thabor, this intimate, understated spot is known for its impeccable seasonal dishes crafted from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The menu is concise yet thoughtfully curated, featuring expertly prepared classics like foie gras, duck confit, and delicate seafood preparations. The warm, rustic ambiance and attentive service create an inviting atmosphere, perfect for a cozy yet sophisticated dining experience. A true gem for those seeking authentic Parisian flavors in a more relaxed, unpretentious setting.

I was fortunate to have walked into this restaurant on a Monday afternoon when a reservation was not required. The food displayed solid culinary foundation in the chef’s repertoire. Technique was sound, tastes were abundant and plating was pleasing to the eye. Lunch was not expensive considering the high quality! (About €90 for two people have three courses, including drinks.) A recommended spot if you’re in the area!

Google
A small place - looks more like a cafe than a restaurant - but punches above its weight with the food. The boeuf bourguignon was really tasty. Highly recommended.

Google
Space is very cramped. We were literally almost forced to choose a dessert at the start when we said we wanted to choose it after our main course. Very unkind waitress. The waitress never smiled once, and she was extremely hostile while she was super kind to other French and American ("white") patrons. Hope this was not based on racism. Food was nice but not exceptional. Three of us paid more than a hundred euros and yet such a service we received was disappointing.

Google
It is a small restaurant and lower ground level sitting area smells bad, stuffy and feels uninviting. Entrees are small portioned hence cannot be shared. You have to pay an additional 10 euro for foie gras and oddly its a big portion. Main dishes are overly salty which masks the aroma and the taste of the dish ( we were party of 3 and all 3 dishes were overly salty). The house white wine was acidic and lacked dryness. However the creme brulee was good. Wouldnt go again.

Google
Restaurant L’Ardoise was around the corner from our hotel but I would visit from anywhere in Paris. They serve wonderful and original dishes. The food taste very fresh and the menu is creative. The service was friendly and very helpful. This is a small stand out restaurant in a city of stand out restaurants. Definitely a place I will frequent whenever I am in Paris.

Google
Best food for value in all of Paris. I make it a point to eat here every time I visit. It's a small place, very popular, reservations required. English friendly, excellent staff and exceptional service and food. They have been Michelin recognised but not starred, YET! I say eat here while you can still get a table on short notice!

Yelp
Amazing restaurant for its quality and price and receiving a Michelin star restaurant quality for the fraction of the price.

Yelp
Still fabulous in 2023, even after Covid fiasco. Dinner was fantastic and so was the server. We had the squid with Risotto and was surprised by how tender the squid was. The Risotto had tons of flavor. Excellent. We also had the lamb with Ratatouille and it was quite good. The restaurant was packed but they had some space downstairs. This is a great choice for great gourmet food at a reasonable price. I attached some photos.

Yelp
The food is great. Price is good. However, the store is small, so it is very tight on seats. You basically eating so closely with your next neighbor.

Yelp
The food was fantastic. There were four of us eating, every single dish was delicious. Rarely do you go to a restaurant where everything tastes good, this is the exception. They have a fantastic special starter of scallop, ceviche. The fish was perfectly cooked, the beef is tender very well cooked. All four of us had different desserts which were great. Finally, the service was just right, just enough attention, but not too much.

Yelp
Best meal of my whole trip to Paris and I ate at a michelin star restaurant. You need to try the crème brûlée--best I've ever had. Great service, small intimate place, you have to try this place!!!!!!

Yelp
Small bistro located near place vendôme in Paris. Serving homemade-like French cuisine at fairly reasonable prices (comparatively speaking). Tried their specials of the day with beef ravioli in chicken broth, grilled venison with potato purée, and a cheese plate. Pretty good fare, but the venison was slightly under seasoned. The Côtes du Rhône wine was a good pairing.

Yelp
the food was amazing the service was as well we had a breaded fried goat cheese appetizer and the mail was steak au olive per haps the best I have had. the wine was a Paullisc as we concluded with a fresh now baked apple tart.

Yelp
I came here with a friend on a Saturday evening in December 2019. The restaurant is located a short walk from the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. It's definitely a very touristy restaurant, unsurprisingly given its location, but that's not to say you won't have a nice (if a little expensive) dining experience. During our meal, almost every table around us was occupied by fellow foreigners, and the servers all spoke English well. The restaurant was empty when we arrived around 10 minutes after they opened for dinner service, although it filled up later on. We were seated immediately despite not having a reservation and opted for the prix fixe dinner menu at just under 40€ per person (although subsequently our purchase of alcohol bumped it up) for an appetizer, a main, and a dessert. In addition to the menu, they had a few specials du jour in each category. I wound up ordering specials for my whole meal; I got the seabass ravioi for the appetizer, the duck pie for the main course, and the crêpes Suzette for dessert. I wasn't blown away by the appetizer and the dessert. The raviolis were served in a combination of fish soup and lardons that I found too salty. The crêpes were decent, but having spent a few uninterrupted weeks in Paris at this point, I'd had plenty of delectable desserts and this one just didn't register in comparison. Based on the appetizer and the dessert alone I'd probably have given L'Ardoise just 3 stars instead of 4, but my main dish, the duck pie, was absolutely fantastic. The duck pie consisted of a filling of both duck confit and duck foie gras, as well as apricots. I am a huge fan of the combination of sweet and savory, and the duck and the apricots just really, really worked for me. The duck meat was tender and flavorful, and the mushroom sauce rounded everything out beautifully. The portions were generous, and I was comfortably full by the end of the meal. L'Ardoise is a convenient and cozy place to have some good French cuisine after a day of touristing in Paris. If you arrive early enough you probably don't have to make a reservation, but if you've got a group or are planning on arriving after 7:30 PM on a weekend, it's probably safer to do so.

Yelp
Service was great , food was even better !! The food was just want you expect for French Cuisine it was rich creamy and yummy on the palate.

Yelp
Great menu. I would definitely come back because the food is excellent. Don't expect to get top notch service.

Yelp
L'Ardoise is one of my favorite restaurants in Paris. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic night out but also quite family-friendly. The service is top-notch, and the wine list is excellent. From the artichoke soup to the Paris Brest dessert, everything was delicious. I highly recommend L'Ardoise to anyone looking for a quality dining experience in Paris.

Yelp
Very intimate venue. The food was so flavorful and the service excellent. Family run business where they pay attention to their customers. I will be back when I return to Paris.

Yelp
While walking around the area, my friends & I didn't know what to eat so we randomly found L'Ardoise. After enjoying a meal here, now I understand why it is Michelin recommended! The food was amazing from beginning to end! The foie gras, duck, bacon/escargot ravioli & crime brûlée that my friends & I ordered did not disappoint! All the dishes were delicious and perfect to taste. The duck & pasta were a hearty portion. All the dishes had good textures and flavors that were rich, but not over-empowering. And I loved he fact that the crime brûlée had a touch of orange blossom flavor to it. With that being said, just letting you know the lunch & dinner menus are pre-fixe but well worth the cost! And service was great so kudos to them!

Yelp
We asked our hotel front desk for a recommendation for something in walking distance. They recommended L'Ardoise. First of all, we toured the Champagne region and two Champagne houses so we had a great time during the day. We were hungry and ready for dinner. It's mostly a seafood restaurant which isn't a positive for us. The seating is extraordinarily tight. The poor person who has to sit inside cannot easily get out if they have to use the restroom. They help you get in and out which is nice. This is a two or three course restaurant. The choices are somewhat limited and sound better than what you get. The presentation is nice, but, the food is average at best. After recovering the bill, I was compelled to leave a three star instead of four. We did not have drinks and it was 82 € for 2 two course meals.

Yelp
Found another great little modern french cuisine place thanks to my fellow Yelpers. It's tucked away just behind the Westin. For 38 EU they do 3 course fixe price menu. Nice variety of dishes to choose from, so all in your party should be happy. The place is very small, and has seating on the main floor and basement. Reservations are required to sit on the main floor. The basement seating is very hot and stuffy, and no one wants to sit down there. So you will likely end up there if they are busy and you are a walk in. We had reservations, so only had to wait about 10 min for a main floor table to open. We were delighted with our choices, as all were delicious, or better. Starters: for her, Snails and mushrooms in puff pastry...very tasty, but a bit too much oil in for my own taste. For me, Tartar, with diced squid, mango and crispy bacon. Sound like an odd combo, but it was delicious..the salty crunchy bacon, set off well with the mango and beef, while the tiny squid dice gave a nice texture. Mains:. For her, the most wonderful cod dish either of us have ever had. Firstly, the cod was cooked perfect, juicy and succulent; bedded on perfect mashed potatoes, which where in a sea of fabulose saffron broth. (At least that was what we thought it was). Amazing! For me: I was eyeing the braised beef cheeks, and then saw the fillet in red wine sauce. I usually never order steak out, because frankly I make the most amazing steaks at home. However, I thought I must try french style at least once. So I ordered the filet mignon with a type of fancy French scalloped potatoes on top. It was good, but not the most tender filet I have had, nor nothing I could not make at home. The table next to us had the beef cheeks, and that looked like the better choice. Dessert:. For her, honey and whipped creme with strawberries. For me, chocolate wedge mouse and caramel ice cream. She really liked her strawberries, but the creme was pretty sweet. I loved my chocolate mousse and caramel ice cream, and the almond lace cookies they served with it went perfectly.

Yelp
Make a reservation, for sure. Very small, with unbelievable Foie Gras. Main course of Cod in Ratoiulli. Has returning American business. Short hours. Limited space!

Yelp
Best French meal of the trip. In a tiny space, close to the Tuileries. Run by a friendly mother, daughter, and father chef. My son's burrata was delicious, my food gras was perfect. I ordered the duck, which was fantastic, like the size of a huge pork chop. The Apple galette with vanilla ice cream was delicious. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Found this establishment of Yelp and so glad we did. Top notch food, drinks and service. We felt bad for the waiter running up and down the stairs and helping all the tables in the lower level. I started with froi gras, first time trying that and I don't understand what's so special and I didn't care for it but the presentation was nice. The beef cheeks were delightful and so tender. Ended with the pumpkin creme brulee. The best meal we had in Paris!!

Eric L.

Yelp
Spectacular food. Service is fine and tables are squeezed, but it's all worth it for the food.

Yelp
We arrived a little early so we had to wait and walk around town before being seated, we did however, get the first seat by the window. The decor is very well done. My husband said the lobster salad he had was the best thing he ever tasted. He also had the duck plate which was very tasty. I of course had the veal. It was another fabulous meal in Paris. The service was excellent. Our waitress was excellent and very patient when I tried to speak French. As long as you make an attempt to speak French, they are extremely kind and pleasant.

Yelp
One of my better dining experiences in Paris. I didn't have any issue securing a table here since I was alone and didn't even need reservations. I saw walk-in's getting rejected at the door when dinner hit a high at around 7:30-8pm. The waitress was SUPER nice, spoke English and explained the menu for me in English. I started off with a local white wine and they gave me some bread with yogurt sauce, which were both ok. I looked around and saw an eclectic mix-- a young American couple having a romantic meal, some Brits and German businessmen who seemed to come here every time on their business trip, and of course, some more Americans. For the starter, I chose the terrine of foie gras, pork and truffle with arugula on the side. Pork was on the salty side, but foie gras was creamy and I don't think my palate was refined enough to taste subtle hints of truffle. You had to add about 6-8 Euros more for this starter, which was fine. The crabcakes looked good, but I could get that at home. The sweet jam on the side was one of the best I've had-- subtle in sweetness and went well with the saltiness of the pork in the terrine. I had the cod and I forgot what vegetables were underneath, but they were very soft and like parsnips? Turnips? The cod was a huge filet that was a bit overcooked, but I don't mind since I like fish. The sauce went really well with it. I couldn't resist their creme brulee, which was served in a little bell jar with a latch. I loved it so much since it was light and the consistency wasn't too thick or too runny and it wasn't too sweet for me. I left feeling a good amount of full, not like I couldn't move, but very satisfied with my meal. The 3 course meal is only 36 Euros and my wine was about 4-6 Euros. I'd come here again on my next trip for Paris...

Yelp
Best meal in Paris or London! The snails with the bacon wrapped in pastry was amazing. Rich but delicate. I love escargot, and this was the most delicious I have ever had. The fillet with potatoes was incredible. Great flavor. The fillet wasn't as tender as some I have had but probably the flavor was better. The wine sauce was perfect. I had a Kir Royal which was tangy and delicious, and the red wine of the day which was nice and dry with a bit of spice and complemented my steak. You cannot beat this meal! 38 deer for a 3 course meal in Paris is fair. And the food is really good. True Parisian food. So glad we could eat here!! Chocolate slab with caramel ice cream. Oh my. Save room!!

Yelp
Wonderful experience! The restaurant was Paris chic and cozy at the same time. The waitress welcoming and the food was tres magnifique! The escargot with mushroom ravioli was sooooo delicious and the veal with ratouille amazing. My mother in law each time she visited Paris from NY went to this hidden gem. She raved about this restaurant in Paris and said we must go. Glad she insisted! Thanks Mom M

Yelp
So good! Everything was so tasty! (A little too salty but I would still give this place a 5-star). All the appetizers we ordered were good, loved my sardines especially. As for main, I had their special of the night- frog legs! Was so so so good! It also came with a side of salad in a separate bowl. The cold soufflé was so refreshing, crème brûlée was not super sweet like other places, it was done just right. The service was ok. The place was really small, so cramped. Their a/c was either broken or they just didn't have one, don't wear too much when you go.
google avatar

Jenna D.

Yelp
Too bad that zero star doesnt exist, otherwise i would love to give zero stars instead of one star. I didn't have a chance to try the food here because of the racism we experienced from the staff and customers. The zero star is for the racism that the restaurant staff gave us. If you're Asian, you must avoid this restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. The food was so so good here, I might make a trip back to france just to be able to eat here again. Do yourself a favor and order the filet with pomme anna, a truly exceptional dish. The staff spoke english here, which was helpful because the only french I know is the alphabet and I'm not sure how far that would have gotten me.

Yelp
L'Ardoise is a very solid restaurant. All the food here was decent and not offensive in any way. They have set meals here which are decent deals. Salmon tartare appetizer: This was decent. It was strange to taste such asian flavors in this dish which include ginger, leek, and citrus. Crab cakes: This was more like a crab croquette as the meat was mixed with cheese and batter. Though this was deep fried well, I was expecting more of a true crab cake so keep that in mind. Lamb Stew: This dish was massive and was definitely more than enough to fill me up. The flavors were good and was very reminiscent of home-cooking, as I've made a very similar dish in the past myself. Duck: This was a solid dish though the risotto was a bit undercooked. Creme Brulee: Decent Chocolate Mousse: This mousse was extremely rich. I wish they would have whisked it a bit longer to "fluff" it up. The flavor itself was good though. Service was solid and we didn't encounter any pretentious service here. Give this place a shot. 3.5 stars.

Yelp
This is an excellent option for a casual meal at a good price point. No frills and it was extremely close to our hotel; so it was perfect for a low key first or last night dinner in Paris. Food: Crab cake with spicy sauce was good. Mozzarella and tomato salad was average. Fish stew was okay to good in general, the fish was on the border of not being fresh; but the sauce enhanced the dish overall. Beef fillet was outstanding, especially for a casual place. Apple tart was amazing!!!! I wish I could have eaten more of this dish. Cheese board with bread was very good. There were a ton of Americans in this tiny restaurant, which could be a sign that it's highly connected to hotels in the area. The place is modern and doesn't have a Parisian feel. The service was slow at times. Wines were good for the price point. Room was super small and no frills. The three course menu is €38, so it met to exceeded my expectations.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I took a different route to our hotel and came upon L'Ardoise as we were walking. The menu looked wonderful, so we had the Concierge make reservations. L'Ardoise's menu consists of three courses. Since we liked choices from all three areas, we thought this would be a great adventure. We both started with the duck fois grass served with a small salad. We were off to a great start. It was superb! Our second course (entree) was a rib eye steak (blue) for Joe and chicken fricasee with tarragon sauce and risotto for me. We both were happy with our choices. The final course (dessert) was a cheese plate for Joe and tiramisu for me. I loved the tiramisu--though it was the restaurant's version of the famous dessert (there were no ladyfingers and the coffee flavoring was much more subtle than the original.). It was creamy and delicious. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
We found this place very close to our hotel via Google. Our flight and travel had us up for 24 hours and we needed an early dinner. The place is teeny and very sit right next to your neighbors. But the food was great. It's a fixed price. For 38 E, you got a entree (salad or soup or appetizer), the main course and dessert. But you could have only one or two courses for a reduced price. I had the special salad and Chicken Fricasee, seasoned with tarragon. Excellent. Frank had the pigeon special, which was a ten Euro upcharge. I refrained from asking where they captured the fowl. But he loved it! I skipped dessert but had a couple bites of Frank's lemon mousse with strawberries. A good reminder of how terrible the fruit is in the US. The strawberries were so sweet and flavorful. The service was good too and very pleasant. Not exactly American friendly, but pleasantly professional. All was perfect until their card machine refused our cards, but they tried a different machine and all was well. But even then, they were quite nice. Our table neighbors were Australians whose concierge had said this place was authentically French. We agree. I give it five stars for good food and value, and a great Parisian experience.

Yelp
Amazing service and food. I can't wait to come back ... I had the soup and chicken entree and creme burlé and crepes and house red wine both time I came... thank you to our sweet server young guy and pretty lady and CHEF... merci

Yelp
Outstanding intimate upscale French bistro! 2 thumbs way up. The appetizer and main course we're both incredible. I wanted more! I will be back for sure

Yelp
Came here for dinner because I was staying nearby and saw it on Yelp. Overall the meal was ok, but we sat downstairs and it felt awkward the whole time. The service was a bit slow and the place was very quite so we felt like we had to whisper the whole time. The food itself was good, I had a steak, which came out a little too well done for my taste.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp and decided to try it out based on the photos, reviews and close proximity to the hotel. We were told it fills up pretty quickly so we had the concierge make us a reservation. We arrived right on time and the place was packed. There are only 2 rows of tables tightly pressed together. For anyone to get in or out, the waitress needs to pull the whole table segment out so you can enter and sit. Cramped, but charming. Had the foie gras starter, and the duck "hot pocket " entree. The foie gras was delicious, the entrew was just "eh". Its a fixed price menu for €38, which includes dessert. I had the pistachio cake which was the winner for me. Overall a decent experience and food. I don't know why people keep giving it 5 stars as there are better places out there. 1 big complaint : when your menu only has 5 entrees, and you happen to be out of 2 of them, it's probably a good idea to share that in the beginning. "I'll have the chicken fricasse." "So sorry, were out of the chicken tonight ". "Okay, I'll go with the lamb." "Oh, we're out of that too..... "

Ron L.

Yelp
The food and service was wonderful we came at 6:30 and we were having a wonderful conversation with a couple from England and this female waitress who had not cleared our table came to us and told us "that another couple was waiting for our table and could we leave. Guess it is the rude French waitress telling anyone who is not from France to FO. If I was not so polite I would have stayed another hour, but have a train to catch in the AM Food great, but it lost 5 stars with her rudeness.

Yelp
This is our third time here over the past 2 years. Every time we come, the place is packed. You can tell this is a local favorite. The food here is ridiculous. Today I had salmon tartare and hake with artichoke and mushrooms. Outstanding. For dessert (although I didn't need it) I had chocolate mousse. Absolutely delicious! This is one of our favorites in Paris.
google avatar

Andy K.

Yelp
Wonderful in every way. It is our first time in Paris and this was our first meal. It was incredible. We did the three course price fix and each course was better than the last. I had the parmentier (potato) soup and it was delicious. My wife had the salad that was topped with fresh tuna. Our main courses were delectable. My wife had the chicken fricassee and I had an awesome filet in a red wine sauce. Dessert was wonderful too. We got the creamy chocolate mousse and a flat warm apple pie a la mode. And the service was every bit as good as the fare. Tres magnifique. Our hostess spoke perfect English as well.

Yelp
Delicious! Great chicken, lamb, crab cake and snail pancake. Right behind Westin. House wine wasn't bad either.

Yelp
American seeking American in elbow to elbow average French bistro via hotel concierges, disappointing if you are looking for a Parisian experience, zero ambience. Dessert was the best items in the menu.

Yelp
Reservations are a must here, though they do accept walk ins, but on this night walk ins were offered a table 2 hours later. It's a very small establishment. The tables are squeezed in together to maximize seating capacity. So to get inside the table, they had to pull the table out, you squeeze in and sit, then move the table back in, kinda like a jigsaw puzzle. So most likely you'll be within an elbow's distance from a couple next to you. Everyone didn't seem to mind this very closeness. There is also some more seating downstairs too. It's a fixed €35 three course meal. You choose one of each, appetizer, main, then finally a dessert. Some of the more extravagant plates may require extra euros. So all in all, with a drink and water (yes water is charged). your meal will be around €50. I started off with the ravioli with septs, bacon and foie gras. Wow!! Loved it, nice buttery cream. And when I say bacon, it's more like a prosciutto. Great starter. Cod filet with artichoke base. Very comforting food. Pretty decent. Fish was grilled and it cut through nicely, nice and flaky. For dessert, I went with their house special and their recommendation, the hazelnut soufflé. Again another wow! Man I would just come back for the soufflé itself. It's that good. The ambiance was great, despite the tightness that some might feel a little awkward. The servers looked disorganized several times, trying to juggle between checking in guests to taking in orders. And what do you If you have 2 wine glasses and a bottle to bring to a table with just two hands? Well you hold both glasses in both hands and stick the bottle under your armpit. It was pretty funny how the servers can be creative. The servers were very friendly, and yah they looked hawt, and were English friendly too. Yes, it's a great place to take a date or a small party, usually 3 or less, again recommend doing a reservation ahead of time.

Yelp
I'll admit that I was a bit nervous when I saw that all of the other glowing reviews were in English. I am so so SO glad I did not let this sway me, as I'm now at a loss for how to describe how incredible, how delectable, how perfectly French my meal was at L'Ardoise. Before you read on, stop for a moment to look at the three photos I uploaded. (Pause for biz photo drooling) ... Now trust that my meal managed to taste eleventy billion times better than it looks, which is not easy by anyone's standards. I loved the small, dark setting, the hip antique incandescent light bulbs, the chalkboard walls on which the daily menu was scribbled, the 100% French mentality, (yes, that includes the servers as well as the menu. If you don't know French, you better learn how to order before coming here!) the set-menus, and of course the stunning, stunning, stunning food. You're bound to spend far more money then you wanted, but you'd do it again a thousand times if you knew your meal would stick with you for years to come. You're in Paris. Splurge.

Yelp
4.5 stars This was my second visit (took place in December '10) and it didn't disappoint ! I was there for lunch this time and it's as busy as it is for dinner. Reservations strongly recommended. You better be hungry because you have to order the prix fixe (35 euros, a good value given that you get three dishes). You do get a lot of options to pick among appetizers, entrees and desserts though; there really are things for everyone on their often changing and extensive menu. For appetizers, we ordered the tuna tartare and the wild mushrooms raviolis in a creamy sauce (which were out of this world - favorite dish I had last year). I really liked the brandade de morue, it was beautifully executed. The filet de boeuf de salers was great too. I will definitely go back next year when I am over in France for the Christmas break.

Yelp
The food here was soooo amazing! All three meals were absolutely delicious. Appetizers - I had the lobster ravioli and my husband had the shrimp croquettes. Both were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Main Course - I had the pork cheeks cooked in a red wine reduction sauce and my husband had the lamp chops. Both were absolutely delicious.. but the pork cheeks.. OMG.. one of the most amazing things I've ever had. Wish I could have just ONE MORE BITE! Yum!!! Desserts - I had the white chocolate cake and my husband had the chocolate mousse. They were delicious and a perfect end to the perfect meal! Oh.. did I mention how delicious the food was!!! Definitely try this place. Reservations recommended.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite brasserie in all of Paris. Do not expect fancy but do expect great French food with great service to Back it up. All tucked away on a tiny back street. I would highly recommend you go with the daily special and let them guide you through your meal.

Yelp
I have to agree with the other reviewer. This is a very small restaurant but it was highly recommended by the concierge and WOW. Our meal was delicious. The menu is a big chalkboard that the waitress carries to your table. Everything we ordered was melt in your mouth delicious and I did not see one plate being picked up that had a morsel left. Reservations are a must as people were standing in line to get in. We are non French speaking, but with the help of other patrons we managed just fine. My mouth is watering just thinking of our meal.

Yelp
A cute restaurant with creative design. Had three course menu, which was only option, at 38 euros. First course many selections. Had a special of fresh goat cheese on a salade. Creamy almost like ricotta cheese, but lighter. Husband had terrine with salade. Main course cod with mashed potatoes and green purée. Husband had turbot (6 euros extra). With peas and saluted onions. Dessert was poached pear over ice cream and chocolate mousse with ice cream. Another appetizer that looked lovely was white asparagus. Veal medallions with mushrooms also looked good. Tables are inches apart, so you get to know your neighbors. Must pull table out to get to seating along wall. Go hungry because portions are large. Staff was friendly and spoke English menu in English

Yelp
For 35 euros, you get to choose a starter, entree, and desert. Yes, it's a little pricey, but for the quantity and quality of food you're getting, it is totally worth it. Here are my three items: 1) Snails, Mushrooms, and Bacon - They were all wrapped up in a flaky dough covering. The snails were cooked flawlessly and were perfect with the mushrooms and bacon! 2) Duck Roasted Filet - This dish came with two big pieces of roasted duck. When I took my first bite, I immediately thought I was eating the best cooked duck ever! The skin had a nice crunch, the fat was oozing with flavor, and the meat itself was tender and juicy. I also loved the white asparagus that came with it; they were perfect with the buttery sauce! A definite must order! 3) Chocolate Mousse and Mascarpone - This desert was a little too rich for me. I was done with this dish after a couple bites, but I was already full from my entree so I didn't mind. Quick Tips: - I came here on a Thursday at around 7pm and I was seated right away even though I had no reservations. - The menu changes on a daily basis!
