The 13 Best Peruvian Restaurants In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"While there aren’t many Peruvian bakeries in South Florida, Kendall’s L’Arte Bianco Bakery fills the void. This is perhaps the only place in all of South Florida where you can regularly buy pan francés rolls, the daily bread of Lima that is said to be the model for a perfectly shaped butt: round with a deep crease down the middle. And L'arte puts that bread to good use to by making their own sandwiches, including a really great butifarra." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

L’arte Bianco Bakery - Review - Kendall - Miami - The Infatuation

"We Peruvians love our bread and are used to having it every day for breakfast, snacks, and accompanying lunch and dinner. While there aren’t very many Peruvian bakeries in South Florida (and the few that exist mainly specialize in pastries), Kendall’s L’Arte Bianco Bakery fills the void. This is perhaps the only place in all of South Florida where you can regularly buy pan francés rolls, the daily bread of Lima that is said to be the model for a perfectly shaped butt: round with a deep crease down the middle. I typically get at least a dozen to keep in my freezer, and after a few minutes in the toaster oven, you’ll get the crispy crust and soft inside that make this bread a beloved mainstay on Limeños’ tables. The chancay bread here is also excellent. Soft and sweet, these eggy rolls feature just a hint of aniseed and make really great hamburger buns. Food Rundown Pan Frances These quintessentially Peruvian rolls have a deep crease down the middle, which makes them look like one of those perky posteriors you see in Brazilian butt lift ads. The flour-dusted crust is slightly crispy, and the inside is fluffy, soft, and chewy. They’re the perfect vehicle for pretty much any type of sandwich from roast pork to avocado, and they also toast beautifully on a panini press. Chancay These are like the Peruvian equivalent of media noche bread, challah, or brioche. They are slightly sweet, buttery, and yellow from a generous amount of egg yolks. The outsides are as tanned and shiny as a well-greased gogo dancer at Twist. Plus, they’re flavored with just the right amount of aniseed to give them a bit of perfume without it tasting like you just chugged aguardiente." - Carlos C Olaechea

I love this bakery. The service can be a bit slow sometimes, but that doesn’t take away from how delicious the food and pastries are. Everything is excellent! Their empanadas are also very tasty. Thank you to all the employees who are in the kitchen early in the morning to bring us fresh bread and food to enjoy at home. Keep it up, and I hope you continue improving every day! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Google
I truly wonder how this establishment continues to attract customers; it seems the only thing people appreciate is the bread. The prices do not reflect the quality of the food served. The empanadas used to be significantly larger, but now they are both smaller and pricier. I can't fault the service staff for their slow pace, considering they have to take and prepare each order individually. It appears to me that the owner is reluctant to hire additional staff to manage the operations effectively. In my view, this place used to be a fantastic destination, but it is rapidly declining.

Google
Everything was great. I just dont understand why I can't tip my server from my credit card. This is poor ownership. You have employees working hard and offering a service and they cant be compensated correctly for it. The ownership/management needs to do something about this. This is basically stealing from your employees. Do better.

Google
Didn't wait to eat. Walked in to a huge line, empty tables and employees standing around chatting. One cashier no smile, welcome, acknowledgement. Service and simple manners are important. Didn't eat there. Do better.

Alejandro Barreda

Google
The food was good (pan con chicharron, pastel de manzana, butifarra y jugo de naranja) but the service and atmosphere was underperforming. The line was really slow as the same servers tried to do multiple activities ineficiently nor ordered the people relative to the tables. In addition, the tables were dirty, each of us had to clean their own table as no one else would do it. Again the food was good but there's significant space for improvement in the experience.

Yesterday, Monday, May 26, 2025, we had breakfast with my family. The food was good, but the service was terrible. The waitresses weren't friendly; most of them had no courtesy for customers or ethics when serving them. They thought they were doing us a favor when we had to pay for everything we consumed. The tables were dirty and messy. The owners need to take care of their business because customers pay for good service.

Google
I was totally disappointed with the lock of costumer service, I drove this morning g from homestead to try this place for breakfast. I stood and no one greated me, 10 minutes later I got someone's attention to at least buy a pastry and take it home, the employee did not know the difference between three chocolate pastries. I ask her to get her supervisor which she did, but the supervisor started to explain and another customer "said there is no running water in the bathroom", he did not excuse herself and turn around and pour water in his hands so he could wash and totally ignored me, even when I called her attention. Needless to say I walked out frustrated and hungry:(

Google
Service was disappointing. They kicked us out because they were closing (before the actual closing time), we couldn’t finish up our coffee. They had no problem to charge us but then they were “closed” and told us twice we had to leave. Atmosphere was depressing. Never coming back.

Yelp
Cute little bakery. I was waiting for my daughter and wanted some coffee. I was very glad to find this bakery. I ordered a cappuccino which was delicious and hot. I'll definitely be back to try more items from their menu. Service was quick and polite.

Yelp
Loca Peruvian bakery with amazing sweet treats for breakfast - Their sandwiches are next level too - why go to subway when you could have a healthier option. Service is usually pretty good they are very attentive and fast. The ambience is perfect for eating.

Yelp
They are super friendly, very helpful and the cakes and pastries are amazing! Try the Pionono with fresas (think chantilly cake with strawberries). Super cozy place!
google avatar

Linda A.

Yelp
Can't even truly rate them as when we went in there were barely any options to chose from the bakery. I believe they may also be a restaurant but I was insure. Walked in. Wasn't greeted there left shortly after.

Yelp
I am Peruvian and had been looking for a Peruvian bakery for a while. I'm glad I found L'Arte, the food is always fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced. The service is always amazing and the ladies are very attentive. The ambiance is also great, they always have good music playing. I visit twice a month and always order catering for my parties!

Guillermo A.

Yelp
Ive been coming to this bakery for a long time, this is the first time ive written a review for this business. Let me start off by saying their food is great quality and peruvian food is absolutely the best. Having said that the BIGGEST downfall of this business is the guest service. All of the staff treats everyone as if they are an absolute hinderance to their existence. Everyone is waiting in line to order and there are staff stabding around talking and not helping. Absolutely terrible. I hope this review is read by management and action is taken- i know there are a lot of other patrons that feel the same way - make the experience better and drive some incremental sales- Simple! Do better, the community will pay you back!

Yelp
The food is great but terrible customer service. They act like calling or even coming in is such an inconvenience. As if customers aren't what keeps a business running. I would understand if I came in or called the minute the store opened or 10 before they closed but in the morning and the middle of the day? And it's always like that. The sandwiches are great, delicious. But their customer service keeps my visit down to once or twice a year if even. Either they need a better manager who needs to manage their staffs attitudes or a new manager all around. The atmosphere is very uninviting.

Flor P.

Yelp
the worst place to have breakfast! bad service and bad food. ambience too noisy the name is the only thing nice about it.

Yelp
Don't waste your time coming here, especially if you want to dine in. I came in to get a croissant and waited for about 20 minutes until I was finally able to place an order with the waitress. Mind you, I was the only one in line when I arrived and was ignored when I came in. She glanced at me over the counter and then disappeared to the back not saying a word. When the waitress came out, she kept her gaze low and still didn't say anything. I then asked her if I can get some help and was ignored. I asked the second time to which she responded that she was busy helping another customer and would be with me soon. She wasn't nice at all. To the owner of the bakery: I'm not sure how many reviews about the awful customer service you need to read to make changes here. It really pushes people away and brings down the value of your business.

Yelp
5 Stars I can't recommend L'arte Bianco Bakery enough! The butifarra sandwich is simply incredible--packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and the perfect amount of seasoning. The bread is perfectly baked, soft yet slightly crispy, complementing the juicy and savory filling. Every bite is a delight! Also, do yourself a favor and buy the bread--it's incredible! Whether you're in the mood for a delicious pastry, coffee, or one of their sandwiches, this bakery never disappoints. Definitely a hidden gem in the area!

Yelp
This is one of the best Peruvian bakeries! Everything is delicious and fresh. Come here for their bread and breakfast. Their pan Frances and kariokas are so good! I can eat so many of them in one seating. Their jamón del país is also good, just gotta make sure you tell them how to cut the the ham. Their desserts are also good. The wait can be a bit long sometimes it gets busy. The earlier you go the better.
google avatar

Gladys S.

Yelp
As I waited what was definitely over 30 min to place my order I snapped some pics of the baked goods. No one acknowledges you when you arrive. What we ordered Butifarra sandwich, light on meat, literally lathered in mayo top & bottom, you would think I asked for extra mayo... I did not lol. I removed some of the mayo but this sandwich was not edible. The breakfast dish was just ok. We had to wipe down our own table, as did other guest. The employees here do not bus the tables. The table across from us had a spinach pie they clearly didn't like it was left by the previous guest, the employee even offered to replace it and never removed it. It sat there from the time we were on line till we left the establishment. The ambiance here is miserable. I will not return.

Yelp

Edgar O.

Yelp
This place has the worse system to order food. Who ever manage/owns this business is a complete idiot. Your cashier is who made your sandwich and also she is your waitress ...Yes, I am not kidding. Prepare food or fix a sandwich is an art. The owner imported from Perú the authentic 'panadería' but also imported Peruvian bureaucracy.

Phil ..

Yelp
Service is inexistant. They act as if they are doing you a favor. The personnel is in dire need of people skills. The people interacting with customers appear to be the owners or their kids. Sadly, they have no idea of how to make customers feel welcome. The only positive is that their bread is good aside from that another bakery in the same vicinity with better service and people skills would put them out of business.

Josie L.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Won't be back. They're no one at front counter. They see you from inside and completely ignore you. When they finally decide to address you, they are in a bad mood like you are interrupting something.
google avatar

Mari M.

Yelp
I wish I could give this bakery 5 stars, but it's so difficult. The food is usually good, but the service is horrible! No one acknowledges you when you arrive and the lines are always insanely long! It's because the girls who work the front are SO slow and not well-trained at all. No common sense!! They need to step it up! And this time, the food was just alright. The tostadas were indelible and the coffee was burnt.
google avatar

Farhad R.

Yelp
Highly recommended if you crave yummy and fresh Peruvian dessert and sandwiches! They bake their dessert fresh and their melt on your tongue:) A great place for hanging with friends for having a quick brunch and dessert :)

Yelp
A real hidden gem that won't disappoint! I found of this location from some family and was amazed at the excellent quality of sandwiches and assortment of breads available. As a part-Peruvian, I am delighted to see a bakery more geared towards our tastes. There are magnificent desserts and the price is good esp. for cakes and the like. Taste is fresh and Sundays they have a lovely bread assortment. Lastly, the service is great. The people are exceptionally courteous and I think the business model is fantastic.

Yelp
I am Peruvian and this bakery is a replica of Bakeries in Peru, it feels like home. What I love about this bakery is that it is family owned which is why it might be low staff but people should understand that instead of writing bad comments. If anyone wants to know what a real Peruvian bakery is, this is it. It might not be 100% like it because obviously the ingredients and in Peru, they are made by hand and it doesn't have any bad chemicals like the United States of America puts in our food. But this is definitely a 10/10 place. My favorite is the chicha morada because they make it from scratch and if you're Peruvian you know what I mean. My favorite sandwich is "Pan con Pollo". Everything is so good!!! Definitely recommend every dish and drink here. Authentic

Yelp
I have had the empanadas at this place before because a friend of the office brought us the other day to try them and I loved them, that's why I came for more. I had the chicken one and it was filled inside with the delicious flavor and their dough is beyond amazing. This has to be one of my favorite empanadas!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has the best food but is managed horribly. You expect to come to a bakery and wait a max of 30 mins for a order. Unfortunately I have been waiting here for 50 mins just to get breakfast. There is no one taking orders because they are busy doing to go orders. I asked for the manager and they staff informed me there was no manager. Don't waste your time coming here because you are going to wait an hour just to order food.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
Amazing empanadas. Love their sandwiches and breakfast. Also really great Peruvian desserts. Try all of them

Alejandro S.

Yelp
This place is awful... They need more staff. They would do really well if the service was better. They have a great selection but the service is terrible. No table service, no greeting whatsoever, and it's a bit steep in pricing. A butifarra should be 6-7$ max... it's not a 9$ sandwich... Will not be coming back anytime soon.
google avatar

Luis D.

Yelp
I'm Peruvian born in Peru. With that being said the dude that owns this bakery isn't even Peruvian. The empanadas were not Peruvian empanadas. The butifarra sándwiches we ordered didn't taste anything like us Peruvians make them. If you're from Kendall you know the best Peruvian bakery of all time was Cherries in the same shopping center as the Home Depot. Of course cherries bakery burned down in a fire in the 90's. However I do have some good news there's a bakery called Delizzia bakery Miami that makes the most authentic Peruvian empanadas and desserts I have ever tasted in Miami. The only down side is you've got to order in advance because they are a commercial bakery. They don't have a walk-in store front. Here's their info: Delizzia bakery Miami 4372 SW 73rd Ave Miami FL 33155 (786) 459-1841 Man this place was so terrible I had to put you guys on to the best Peruvian bakery I've found that correctly represents my beautiful country. I have zero affiliation with Delizzia bakery and I never leave negative feedbacks. This place was just terrible and extremely misleading to be calling themselves a Peruvian bakery.
google avatar

Frank C.

Yelp
Worst worst worst service. I don't know what's going on with the ownership but the owners never seems to be there or flat out doesn't cate. The staff that works there is do not care you could see you standing there for literally 10 minutes and just walked past by you like you're not the customer. I sometimes overlook service a bit if the food is great and although the food here is pretty good the service is so bad and so unthoughtful that it makes for a terrible experience even if you're ordering out to go. Staff is not friendly, not helping, and usually get your order wrong if you call on the phone. Double check everything before you pick it up and by any means do not eat there because it is the worst experience I've had in any restaurant
google avatar

Ryan V.

Yelp
My favorite bakery! Hidden Peruvian bakery in Kendall, every time I'm in the area have to stop by and get the empanadas, pan con pollo, butifarra, for the week take a few rolls of pan frances. Saturday and Sunday's always really busy and service could be slow, that's a sign that people rather wit because is that good. So go early in the morning.

Yelp
Martes 3/15/22 at 4:35pm.
google avatar

Yelp
It's a great Peruvian bakery very close and it the heart of Kendall drive prices are great not to expensive great variety to chose from and open during this pandemic
google avatar

Krys P.

Yelp
Despite the language barrier, the staff does try their best to help us with our ordering and answering our question. We ordered some empanadas, which is quite different from the Argentine ones we are more familiar with. Coffee is delicious and the bread rolls has good texture. Took some to go and they are even better when warmed in our toaster oven for a little bit. Affordable, good place for breakfast.

Yelp
This little gem has been around since as long as i can remember. Hidden all the way to the back in the corner of The Shops of Kendall, in a modestly decorated space, this Peruvian bakery offers one of the best artisanal breads i've ever had. Prices are good and the bread is always fresh, customer service sometimes is not that great but who cares, i always go to buy a dozen of their sandwich bread or as i particularly call it: pan de agua, to take home. if you guys know what "Palmeras" are...they have the best darn Palmeras i have eaten in my whole life. I also have tried a few other desserts like Mil hojas and piononos and they are good, but i haven't bother with the food/ sandwiches menu which i read the reviews and they say are also tasty.
google avatar

Lynette M.

Yelp
This is my favorite Peruvian bakery in Miami so far. They have the best bread ever from Perú. The bread has a soft inside and somewhat crunchy on the outside. it reminds me so much of the French bread from Perú. I indulge everyone in a while ,and come here for brunch with my mom. I went this past Saturday due to my moms birthday, and she has always been looking for a place that will serve Lurin breakfast just like Perú. and from all the reviews I brought her here and she fell in love! The breakfast Lurin comes with a cup of coffee or you can choose a soda which that's what I did,and I got a inca kola which is my favorite ,and it comes serve with French bread, Tamal originated from Perú as well as Chicharon on the side with purple onions, and camote. The price for the breakfast combo is about $12.00 per plate we didn't think it was bad at all for all the food they had serve us. So you guys are in the area this place is a must !!
google avatar

Nasha P.

Yelp
This is my favorite bakery in Miami. They have the most amazing bread!! It's soft inside and mildly crunchy on the outside. It reminds me so much of the French bread from Perú. I indulge every once in a while and come here for brunch. I went this past Sunday and had a Butifarra, chicken empanada, a slice of spinach pie and a Lucuma Pionono. Didn't get a drink this time, but had some of my mom's cappuccino and it was delish. If you are ever in the area, this place is a must! Ok getting hungry just thinking about it right now! Lol

Yelp
I wanted to write a review about this bakery for many different reasons. I also went back and read some of the reviews and wanted to clarify. First starters this is a bakery a true Peruvian bakery like if you were in lima walking up to the bake shop in the corner for your morning bread. This is not your now common Peruvian restaurant. So for the person who wanted a Suspiro a la Limena that's a dessert that isn't commonly found in a bakery because it's simply not baked and more gourmet. The other thing that must be clear is that no one who works at this store is actually Peruvian the owners lived in Peru and have very little employees and or service skills. Anyone who has been here simply knows that the food is authentic and amazing and has to go knowing that the guy running the shop has a crude face and no people skills and that they are going to wait. The store serves authentic Peruvian breads that are soft inside and crunchy and most importantly fresh. Someone said the stuff is frozen I don't know about that but I can tell you it's great. The cause is good but not my fav dish. Their empanadas have the most amazing True Peruvian crust which is flaky and not fried and yes like in Peru they serve it with lime. Also you can order little breads to make party sandwich he's just like you had at your 5th birthday if you are from Peru which again only a person. From Peru would know. So in short this place is great for anyone but if you are born in peru this as authentic as you get. Now if you like Peruvian food or think you eat Peruvian food. Cause you had lomo saltado this place is not for you. Now if you like soft delicious bread try their pan con pollo, or pan con asado. Their danishes are also pretty great. Overall in my opinion this place is amazing but it is not for everyone.

Isabel L.

Yelp
This place has good food I would have give them 4 stars but I have them 3 . I do not understand why they don't improve the customer service. The manager never smiles hardly talks and I have been there many times but today he was not there the waitress was ok. Nothing special but at the end I went to the restroom and it did not have toilet paper which can happen but soap either? Isn't this the same restroom where the waiters and cook goes ? On many food places there is a sign that says : Employees please wash your hands. How can they do it if there were no supplies? I understand you can run out of those items but could be nice if they keep an eye before this happens. This place has really good sandwiches and breads everything is really good. Anyway I wish one day the manager could realize he has to set an example for the employees who could understand that the customers are who keep the business alive. Only ten minutes away there is a restaurant called. Bon Jour I wish they would go once to see what a great service is.

Yelp
Best Peruvian bakery when it comes to food but the owner is an asshole. To be honest the service in general sucks ass but the quality of the food is Great, I just wish I had a second option to drop this place.

Yelp
For me this one of the hidden gems of Miami, and since I am married to a Peruvian I have been blessed to find this place. We usually come here for breakfast but today I will be doing the formal review for the catering. Don't worry I will give a second review on the epic breakfast here for another day. It been our tradition to order mini sandwiches and empanadas for our son birthday and this year we continue the tradition. Located in a strip mall in Kendall and 127 avenue, the bakery is small with several tables inside. We ordered 100 butifarras sandwiches, 100 chicken salad sandwiches, 50 beef empanadas, and 50 balls of causas. The butifarra sandwich is the Peruvian version of a cured ham sandwich in a freshly baked round bread. It includes a seasoned mayo, lettuce and if you want an extra kick seasoned red onions. Trust me these sandwiches are awesome and even though we ordered 100 they always fly off the trays. The Peruvian version of the of the chicken salad sandwich is served on a mini crisp croissants, and has good chunks of white chicken and tangy dressing. The beef empanadas are made with buttery and crispy exterior which makes it unique from the Argentinian version which has a tasteless exterior. Last but not least the mini causas, which are mashed yellow potatos stuffed with a chicken salad and pepper and than rolled up to little balls. The causas are an explosion of flavor in your mouth and sometimes you can order it with crab salad too. Every year when we order these party favorite they run out within the first hour. They extremely filling and tasty, I would recommend them for any party planning. We are already counting down for the next birthday in the family.

Yelp
Best Peruvian Breakfast in all Miami. I have been coming for over 10 years! But of course like anything good be ready to make a line on the weekends because is so good that it takes time.
google avatar

Carla D.

Yelp
Nice bakery with lots of Peruvian breakfast options. Our all time favorite is the Lurin breakfast which is a large serving of pork chunks, sweet potatoes, tamal and salsa criolla (an onion relish served as an accompaniment to many dishes), served with French bread a coffee. The butifarra, a traditional pork leg ham sandwich, is also delicious. Their cakes are also great, especially the chantilly cake with strawberries; not too sweet and very light. The place can get packed quickly, so seating can be difficult sometimes. The coffee is too often on the weak side, so if you like yours strong make sure you ask them to make it that way.
google avatar

Yelp
This review targets Peruvians living in the US. -Beef empanadas: the best in Miami, by far. You can get better in Lima, but these are quite decent -Sauteed pork sandwich (chicharron): comparable to what you can get in Lima. -Butifarra (another form of ham sandwich): they make their own Jamon del Pais. Pretty good. -Milhojas: you can get them with custard or with dulce de leche. Both are pretty good. -Chard pie (pastel de acelga): Very good. All portions are "king size" btw :) Not a fancy place. It is clean. Service is friendly.

Yelp
So here is what happened. As I was waiting for my favorite meal, aka my choice for my last meal on Earth, Pad Thai from Bangkok Bangkok, I decided to take a stroll through this Kendall shopping center. As I walked past Off the Grille (tried it once, nothing special), I passed a cute little quiet bakery. "Eh!" I thought, so I kept walking. Not only was this mall really dead, but unfortunately some of the shops "died" along the years too. So I passed the long-gone pizza shop, I walked by the Oriental Gift Shop, got to the Watch shop. I thought, wow, what an exciting night! So I turned around, passed the apothecary (oh my - did I read that right, not aromatherapy? eww), peeked inside the Driving school and felt awfully bad for those trying to get points taken off their license at 9pm at night. To the point - yes, so I was passing this Peruvian bakery for the second time. But something in me made me turn around. I turned around and chose to go in. Why not, I thought? I've been to Joanna's marketplace, time to compare some other small mom-and-pop type places. Time to support the smaller businesses. I was greeted by the owner/chef - or so he looked like. It was late, he seemed tired. There was another patron enjoying some sandwich looking thing. I decided to get 2 eclairs, bite-sized yet jam-packed with the best custard you could imagine. Best eclairs of my life! Then I saw hidden in the back a custard Strawberry tarte, I took that home (and can't wait to try it tonight). As I was chatting with the worker, I noticed he was packing up and felt bad for keeping him working past closing time - it was 9pm and they closed at 8pm. He wasn't the friendlist conversationalist, but right then he added an extra huge cake slice to my box. So his actions definitely spoke larger than words. As we were ringing up, I was flabbergasted by the price and again apologized for only having debit but it all worked out anyways. How much was ALL this? $3! Now about that cake - it was gourmet, top of the line, decadent cake - tasted like mascarpone too, similar to tiramusu without the coffee. You can truly tell that whoever makes the desserts here is one of those chefs that truly and genuinely has a passion for baking. Truly recommended!

Yelp
Loved this little place! The food is definitely authentic Peruvian. Got a asado sandwich and my sister got a chicken sandwich and they were delicious. Love that you can also buy bread here as well. Nothing beats a good reminder of home.

Yelp
Egads! The service is really awful! I understand when they are busy however, they went through a long line of people right before it was my turn at the register. Then, the cashier/service staff, just left the register, just like that and NEVER came back. There was a woman behind me in line and we thought it was odd. After waiting for 10 minutes, we asked when we'd get service, they completely ignored us, didn't make eye contact. We asked again and one of the staff said they were busy and helping other people. Ok, so we are not customers too?? Unfortunately, I am not from the mindset that just because your products are good (in this case, baked goods) that a customer should be treated poorly or simply not receive any service. I do not give my money to places that give really bad service; I can put up with some bad service but this was really really bad. I will take my money elsewhere, there are other Peruvian bakeries in Miami they are not the only one.

Yelp
Bad customer service. Food doesn't have taste at all. Have tried the tamal, the empanadas, pionono , chicharrón not recommend at all. Besides it's expensive and the food uneatable . As a Peruvian customer I do not recommend this place.

Yelp
Absolutely atrocious service. 5 people standing around talking with a bakery full of clients. 20 minute wait to take away an empanada which was served cold. Go anywhere else

Yelp
The pastries are always fresh and delicious; customer service always friendly; but speaking Spanish will help. Will be back
