"Located on the eighth floor of the Hyatt on Congress Avenue in downtown Austin, Las Bis is a tapas bar with cocktails, wine, and a small menu of tapas-inspired bites like tinned fish, caviar, and escabeches. It’s from the same team that operates Luminaire downstairs, just with a bit more of a bar focus. If you’re looking for a substantial meal, we’d probably head to Luminaire downstairs, but if you just want some light bites and a nice view from the roof deck, head on up to the eighth floor." - Nicolai McCrary

"Tinned fish has been enjoying a major renaissance on social media lately, a fact that’s certainly not lost on the team behind the new downtown terrace bar at the Hyatt Centric. La Bis’s breezy aesthetic, Spanish-accented cocktails, and natural and biodynamic wine list are all ideal complements for its menu of tinned specialties, like Galician cockles in brine, Baltic sea sprats with heather and chamomile, spiced mackerel in olive oil, and several styles of caviar with all the fixings. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Taylor Tobin

Beautiful spot! Great ambiance. Great caviar. The service was fine, but at the price I expect excellent. We went here for a night of true celebration. I always love good caviar. The tinned trout was good. I was not in love with the lobster option. Overall great spot.

Austin's rooftop collection just keeps getting better. Las Bis is where you should go for date night. Drinks are pricey but the view and vibe are worth it. Will be back many times.

My new favorite rooftop in Austin. Got the drinks from the recommendation of the bartender and loved the drink. Worth trying. It’s also away from the hustle and bustle of the sixth street.

Service was great!!!! Vibe and view is top tier but the drinks was not good. Need better drink menus. Was pricey but that’s not the issue… I’ll pay when the drinks are good. Better finger foods would be great!

Just be aware that all of the food is canned. I get that this can be “their thing” but if it’s gonna be your thing you have to tell people about it. The portions were so tiny and overpriced. The flavor was pretty fine but far less than filling for the price. I don’t think I’ve ever left a less than 4 star review but people need to know. Don’t come for the food. Didn’t have drinks so can’t speak to that. View is great it’s a nice rooftop no doubt.

Google
Rooftop bar located on the 8th floor of the Hyatt Centric Hotel, directly across from check-in. Small-ish indoor bar area, with an outdoor space overlooking Congress. Good bartenders with a mixture of interesting cocktails. Narrow space, higher than a lot of the other rooftop bars, but still some noise from the street. Expect about $15/drink, no happy hour listed. Relaxing vibe, great place for a drink after the sun goes down with your significant other.

My fellow vegans - if you come here and get Mary Jane as your attendant - you are in luck. While they have no vegan options on the menu she did an amaaaaaaazing salad for me. She was lovely too !

Yelp
Autumn was very knowledgeable in regulars of all the seafood platters..... ask for her for recommendations and advise on the bus depot to get in tin cans Be aware it's all seafood choices

Yelp
We had delicious cocktails concocted by imaginative and friendly bartenders! However, we left hungry. Don't get me wrong, the small servings of tinned seafood were cute and delightful and the petit sandwiches were tasty, but we wanted more food to nibble on that night! Wonderful outdoor patio though with gorgeous views of downtown specially when the lights turn on! I'll be back to check if their menu has expanded since my visit this summer! Something to look forward to for sure

Yelp
Solid 4 stars. Great addition to the downtown Austin rooftop hotel bar scene. They have a nice mix of wine, beer and cocktails, as well as some unique eats. Doesn't seem like a place you would go for dinner, but they have light to heavy appetizers to compliment your beverage of choice. Staff was attentive, knowledgeable and had friendly service. Definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Came here for my friends bday on a Saturday and it was not crowded at all. Apparently this place is new so not a lot of people knows about it. The drinks are definitely on the pricy side but you're paying for the ambiance here. The bartender was pretty attentive. He actually came out to the patio to check for refills and even moved a table for me to set my drink on. Overall a pretty decent experience for a rooftop bar.

Yelp
Pretty cool little bar to grab a light bite and a drink. Wine selection is small but tastefully selected. Definitely try the tinned fish options as they are great and will compliment the wine on their menu.

Yelp
The views and the drinks here are wonderful! We had one of the best sunsets and service was great. I didn't get to try the food, but will definitely be back.

Yelp
Love this rooftop bar! It's relatively new as of Feb 2023 in Austin but I thought the view at sunset and vibes on the outdoor patio. Their drinks are delicious and they have small plates and tapas for food. Prices can range depending on what you get. Definitely not a sit down dinner place on the 8th floor but a great place to meet up for a drink with someone who wants to see the city. I would definitely go again!

Yelp
I hope this place doesn't get too popular because I really enjoyed the calmness of it! There was one (annoyingly) loud group, but all the other patrons here kept a relaxed and laidback vibe at this rooftop bar. It's a part of the hotel, so do expect hotel prices. We didn't have a chance to eat off their menu as we just wanted a drink, but it's ranged from $$-$$$. Drinks are similar to that range as well. Very lovely view of congress, you can see the paramount sign up close (as its right next door) as well as the capitol building down the way. I am interested on how it fairs during the daytime, as there were no umbrellas that I saw that could potentially provide shade, but it's possible they are out away during the evening hours. I'll definitely be back very soon, maybe even next week! I hope this stays lowkey!

Yelp
The views and cocktails here r great! Such a cute rooftop bar! Didnt try food but it did look delish! Definitely a cute girls spot!

Yelp
We only went up for drinks on Monday night at 6:30 pm. It's on the 8th floor of the Hyatt Centric Hotel on Congress. There were a few parties in the outside area and there was a not that friendly bartender that was blonde. There was another person that took our picture in the egg chair that was cute. The peer pressure drink tasted like juice. The Las Bis Tea was not good. For such a nice bar, I would think that their drinks would at least taste better. Go for the view. Not the drinks!

Yelp
Great service, cool view of Congress, and tasty sips & eats. I enjoyed the truffle ham bikini and sipped on This Side Of The Sun. Enjoyed the vibe. Definitely check this place out

Yelp
A nice worker caught us on the ground level because we couldn't see the sign coming down Congress Ave. and he led us upstairs. The servers were all very kind. It's really nice sitting outside especially during sunset. The drinks and snacks were good as well.
