The Best Honduran Restaurants in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans
"Don’t let the non-descript exterior deter. Las Delicias de Honduras is a scratch kitchen, from the flour tortillas, made by hand to the mixed seafood soup brimming with conch, shrimp, and chunks of fish. Opened by chef Carolin Frederick and her family, with musical performances some weekends." - Beth D’Addono
Where to Eat the Best Caribbean Food in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans
"At Las Delicias de Honduras, the menu is anchored by seafood, including shrimp and conch that pulse with oily garlic and whole fried red snapper that should be a centerpiece for a feast but can make a quick lunch. The must-try baleadas, folded flour tortillas stuffed with beans and cheese and whatever else you want, might just replace breakfast tacos in your pantheon of cravings." - Beth D’Addono

After reading wonderful reviews and seeing the high rating, we were highly disappointed. They served me old and spoiled food. The fish was way past its prime. The chimol and rice side dishes were spoiled. They smelled and they still served it as is. The only edible thing was the fried green plantain slices.
The soup was okay. The baleadas were also subpar.
Highly recommend for you to seek out other places to eat.

Got the baleadas and the whole fried fish. Both were exceptional. The batter on the fish was perfectly flavored and crispy, and the fish was cooked perfectly. The baleada was the best one I’ve had in the area (and there’s a lot of competition out here!). Definitely going again!

After a warm welcome from Ana, I ordered a berry juice as I waited for my order. I requested a plate of camarones (shrimp and garlic sauce) and pollo frito con tajadas (fried chicken with plantain). Great location, great people, great food!

This place is amazing!! The food is so delicious- we got the balaeda con todo and tajada con carne molida and it was the best meal I’ve had for less than $20 in a really long time

The staff is very helpful and friendly. When I asked for their opinion they appeared to give it real thought. They seemed genuinely interested if I liked the food, which was amazing as well.

Yelp
The green plantains need a sauce (FOR ME).
I also think the first few trips are best dining in versus my TOGO order.
Honduran Enchiladas is the picture and think Flautas or taquitos.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much when you pass by, but it's absolutely worth it once you go inside. Has a very homely setting and a very soothing mood. The food also tastes good and captures the taste of Honduran foods. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Un ambiente muy bueno y la comida vale la pena.
