Al pastor tacos with pineapple and queso oaxaca anchor this Raleigh staple, profiled by WRAL’s Out & About and spotted at major community festivals and park pop-ups around the Triangle.
Truck was at my daughter's PTA fundraiser. I ordered the "egg rolls". The flavor of the food was good but the rice it came with wasn't cooked. I'm not talking a little al dente, many grains weren't edible. The person taking my order over charged me on one of the items and their menu has some creative spelling. FYI friend shrimp is supposed to be fried shrimp. There isn't a cool new way to prepare shrimp that they've named "friend shrimp" 😜. Not a horrible experience, but not great. If they were the only option I'd order from them again but if there's other choices available, this isn't the truck that would get my business.

I found a bandaid in my tacos. When going back they said they would give me a refund but would not give me any documentation, they said I would get a text in the morning confirming. I have not. Also my concerns about there being a bandaid in my food were brushed off by saying their food was fresh and that it had never happened before. Very upsetting experience.

Food truck was at an event in Cary. When I ordered my food (rice bowl only) I was told it will only take 20 minutes. I thought that was perfectly ok. Well 30 minutes past, then 40 then 50 minutes amd still our order was not ready. There was only 1 person inside cooking but the expectation was poor. If I was told it would be an her before my food I would have gone somewhere else. I missed the entire event because I was waiting for my food. The event was shutting down and it was getting dark so I asked for a refund because we were leaving after waiting an hour for a simple rice bowl. The guy taking orders said he would not give refunds. I bet not! Anyway I never did get my food because the event was over and we left. I basically donated $25 to them since I didn’t get my food.
No idea about the food since I left after waiting an hour. Really bad service and expectations.

A huge disappointment!!!!!!! While at the state fair, I went to las gringas spot to get the food that I’m so familiar with since I have been going to their food truck for the past few years. I asked for dynamite shrimp which is my favorite dish. They gave me popcorn shrimp and rice that looked like it was cooked the week before. I told the girls that what they gave me has NOTHING to do with dynamite shrimp. They had the audacity to insist that it was. I even told them that I’m a regular customer and I know their food. If they didn’t have what I asked for, they should have just told so and not try to bulshit me. On top of that, they were so rude about it.

Marco and his team go above and beyond. Their food is amazing and the staff is even better! I have used him 2 years in a row for a corporate event and they knocked both years out of the park. Thanks again!!

Employees need to be able to describe what the menu items are. There is a language barrier and they are unable to speak any English to tell you what the items are or be able to understand when you order an item on their menu

Had the worse experience with this food truck, the steak tacos were not cooked well and it was extremely greasy, I could taste the old grease, it was not fresh at all. I know what good Mexican food taste like , this definitely was NOT it.

We love Las Gringas tacos! Their food is out of this world and Marco and staff are super nice. The papas locas, dinamitas shrimp and al pastor are my faves! Nacho average taco truck!
