"Las Margaritas is a Northeast staple that’s located in a strip mall. They have a long bar with a few TVs and so many booths and tables that it can probably host your family reunion this year. The ridiculously long food and drink menu contains more pages than a children’s book, so anyone you bring here will have lots of options, especially when it comes to margaritas. You'll find flavors like pomegranate, sangria, and mango, along with cafe margaritas, which are essentially frozen coffees spiked with tequila and other things like Baileys and Kahlúa. Each cocktail is shaken and blended to order—even the frozen ones—so they come to your table ice cold." - Candis R. McLean

Google
Great service! We got a torta (sandwich) and 2 tacos, which came out to around $23 (not including tip). Shoutout to the complimentary chips and salsa, which tasted better than expected. Overall good food, but the prices aren’t that great :’) probably won’t be coming back

Google
I enjoyed this place. Service was nice. Loved that they offered free chips and salsa. The food was good but I felt like I missed the extra flavor. The portions were huge and definitely worth the price. I don't like there is a 4% CC fee.. Overall I like it and would go back again FOR SURE.. The server was wonderful. Thanks guys

Google
A salsa verde can make or break a dish! In this case, ehh the food was ok. After ordering they give you chips and what looked like pico de gallo at first, but it tasted just like the same stuff they use for cocktel de camaron (mexican shrimp cocktail) it was good, but that tastes better on shrimp cocktail not with chips. I ordered chillaquiles verdes, food wasn't bad but I don't think I'd get that again, not a fan of their salsa verde. My girl ordered enchiladas verdes, she wasn't a fan of their salsa either. Also, they put so much lettuce on top it looked like a salad over the enchiladas! If we went back, we're most definitely not getting anything that has that salsa verde on it.

Love this place. Food is great, drinks are great. Good for family dining or sitting at the bar. We’ve dined in and had takeout. Portions for takeout are larger than dining in.

Google
Everything was right, service was great moved really quickly. I don't remember the bartender name but the drinks (margarita) were really good, and as for the food taste delicious plus big portions as well. Affordable I will be going again. P.S Marachi artists made the experience even better.

Google
Just moved to the area, was hoping to find a local Mexican restaurant. Ordered delivery. Food was less than desirable. No taste. My husband ordered camarones a la diabla and received 7 shrimps for $30 dollars! Additionally the sauce was creamy and he received bread sticks. Very weird. Our order was missing sides. All this was shocking as the restaurant always looks full of happy customers.

Google
The tacos were so dry that they didn’t taste like much. The tiramisu was incredibly way too sweet. The service, however was great. Kind server asked us if we were doing good multiple times.

Google
Food was good. The salsa had duck sauce because it was sweet. The service wasn’t good and very slow. Then instead of putting out the good at the same time, they put one out and 30 minutes later another food, by the time we were all feed it was an hour and a half. And then they brought out the appetizers at the end.

Yelp
I had a steak burrito and french fries from here. The burrito was huge and really good (not sure what happened to the photos I took). I live nearby and this place always seems to have a lot of people dining. One of these days I will drop in and dine inside. Third Avenue has many options for Mexican places but I'd definitely recommend coming here.

Diana L.

Yelp
The restaurant is really nice looking, staff are friendly, honestly they are not horrible but they are also not AMAZING. I highly recommend the burritos, flautas , chilaquiles, and tacos al pastor The enchiladas de mole, nope. Its pretty over priced. We order here because its the closest mexican restaurant. Really dosent hurt to try.

Nigel W.

Yelp
False advertisement. Theres is absolutely no happy hour at all. Everything is overpriced and their drinks are not good. The worst bar in the community. False advertisement is never the key to success.

Christy C.

Yelp
I love getting takeout from here! It comes with a huge burrito (that I end up saving half for later) topped with a generous amount of guacamole and sour cream. It also comes with a side of fries that are probably crispier dining in, but I still love them! I have tried the chicken burrito and the carnitas burrito, both come with a good amount of meat thats well seasoned and flavorful.

Yelp
Las Margaritas is one of my favorite Mexican spots in Bay Ridge. Everything I've gotten there has been good, but I really love their tacos. My favorites are the pollo asado, chorizo, and al pastor. Each taco on the menu is about $4-6 depending on the protein, but they're huge. Two tacos is more than enough for a full meal for me, especially when dining in with their complimentary chips and salsa. Their portion sizes generally are on the larger size for everything we've gotten. Service is friendly, and our orders have always come out right. Looking forward to grabbing more tacos soon!

Jeremy G.

Yelp
My experience at Las Margaritas is basically a gamble. You really won't know what the heck you are going to get, and although I do like the food (having gone there for a while now), I feel that the bad sides have really started to show. Some times the food is a bit stale, and the food has this strange flavor sometimes. But on other cases, the food is awesome, and I really do enjoy it. The ambiance surrounding the place is also something that changes for me. I do love the Mexican culture and aspect that is detailed here, adding onto the cultural menu. It's become quite iconic for me. Service can vary at times. Sometimes you will get some good workers, others, not so good. Otherwise, experience just varies like that. There is always room for improvement, but so far, so good!

Yelp
Been searching everywhere and this is still the best lengua tacos. Please open a sister restaurant in bayside or Long Island

Mercedes R.

Yelp
Best Margaritas in Brooklyn! They have a few flavors to choose from. It gets really busy but the staff is great and very attentive. Had dinner with my sister and we ordered the Calamari as an appetizer (which I wasn't thrilled about; very bland and not crispy) . For entree we had chicken quesadilla (absolutely delicious and so flavorful). By the time we were leaving there was a long wait line to get seated. This is definitely a very popular spot. I will be returning

Cris T.

Yelp
Amazing! I ordered take out from here on several occasions. The food is always fresh and the price is right. They have a big menu so pick wisely. They deliver very quickly and it's always hot. I have eaten there once or twice. The place is clean and the staff is always ready. It's a nice layout and you never wait for a table. The delivery is quick and always on point. It's my good to place for food.

Faryal A.

Yelp
still one of my favorite taco spots! LOVEE the service! the staff is very efficient and super friendly :) must visit!

Shirrell H.

Yelp
Ran over here during my lunch break and ordered 3 tacos. Had to wait about 15 mins for them but it was well worth the wait. 1. Shrimp taco- decent 2. Steak taco- delicious 3. Lamb tacos- The best ever!!! It's a must. I got mine with no guacamole (can't eat it) and I've been hooked since. Please try the lamb tacos. I've been putting so many people on to this spot.

Brayan B.

Yelp
To be honest.... I wasn't expecting much from this place. The ambiance was cute and your traditional Americanized Mexican restaurant; however, the food was not good at all, with the expecting of the guacamole. We started with the spicy guacamole and chips which were okay. Nothing crazy to brag about. For my entree, I ordered the trio fajitas. This dish tasted off and wasn't pleasing. I couldn't really finish it and decided to take it home. I was hoping that maybe I was just not feeling well that day, so I heated the food again. Unfortunately, the food still tasted off. It tasted almost as if there was soap residue on it. I'm not sure how I can explain this. Won't be coming here again.

Lovebug H.

Yelp
I am a customer and I was there for 15 min waiting for them to come take my order they didn't even ask me if I needed help I had to walk out because they wasted my time of my 30 min lunch very bad regret going there . they went to help someone else instead of me and I was there first

Angela L.

Yelp
If you have a hungry hungry stomach and want huge portions and delicious cocktails, please come here. Las Margaritas' will not let you go home hungry. I just want to let you know that 1 taco looks like 2 regular small tacos. They are not playing with their portions here !!!! The burritos are stuffed to the brim with meat of choice, rice and beans. It probably weighs 10lb. Their margaritas come in different flavors like strawberry, mango, passion fruit and more. The toastadas are crunchy and loaded with meat and toppings. My favorite meats to order are: Carne asada, carnitas, and lengua.

Sita P.

Yelp
Stopped in before closing for a late night taco fix (on taco Tuesday) and this spot did not disappoint. Quick service, casual ambiance. Complimentary chips and salsa, the salsa was kind of on the sweet side. I only ordered tacos- carne asada, shrimp, pork, & chicken. All were good and loaded with protein, topped with a generous amount of guac. Good prices.

Yelp
Came Monday night to celebrate a friend's birthday early. She picked the place and most people came out disappointed with their food choices. She made reservations and we all arrived on a wet rainy evening. We had out-of-towners from the Mid-West and they wanted some good Mexican food. They ordered a pitcher of Mango margaritas for the table with some appetizers. They ordered burrito and nachos. My husband and I usually get the platters or tacos. They are not known for their burritos because it's mostly just meat with rice&beans inside. No other toppings inside. Guacamole, cheese and sour cream are on top or on side. Hubby got a meat sampler dish- Parrillada a Las Margaritas Platter (Broiled pork chop, beef, chicken and shrimps.) He got it with half salad and rice. I got the Steak a la Mexicana Platter (Rib eye steak Mexican style with onions, tomatoes and peppers) with rice & beans. I also got a Pescado Taco (Fish). The others got various dishes of burritos, quesadillas, platters and tacos with appetizers and more alcoholic beverages. They can only do 1 check with 3 split payments when we tried asking for separate checks upon ordering at the beginning. I asked for a to-go box for my leftovers and was charged $1 yet, they gave out other boxes to other people without any additional charges (after we asked for the check). When we asked for refills on the free chips & salsa for the table before pur meal arrived, (some ate more/finished it before we ate so we wanted more) and was charged for it. I never had that happened to me where they charge you for those cheap chips & salsa that they always bring to the table. I guess, times are tough if they had to do that. But I wish the servers communicate that when we asked. It's always good to be notify if there is extra charges for anything. Overall, a decent place that is popular and busy. But food quality and service is okay. We supported local business; but I'm not a fan. Only came because of the people that chose here and want it. The only thing I like here is the tacos and the platters are good. But it isn't amazing.

Yelp
OMG!!! This beautiful Brooklyn location, I love coming here when I'm in Brooklyn, the service is phenomenal the food never disappoints! If you haven't stopped in, and you're reading this it's a sign to give them a try!

Brooklyn R.

Yelp
This was my go to restaurant for Mexican food in Bayridge. Until now , they raised the prices so much its not worth it anymore. I understand inflation is raising the price of certain things but 20% is crazy. Its Brooklyn not Manhattan.

Sandy D.

Yelp
After hearing my friend recommend this place, I finally had a chance to check this place out. Located in a busy neighborhood, the store felt welcoming and lax with its warm colored interior and families and regulars enjoying their meals. Chips and salsa were on the house. My friend and I shared Al Pastor ($3.65), Carne Asada ($3.75), and Pescado Tacos ($4.95). We also had a Mango Margarita ($13) and Mix Quesadilla, ($15.75) which comes with fries or rice & beans. The food came super fast!! For starters, the Tacos were everything. Each of them were piping hot, and filled with guac. It's rare for each taco to taste so good, but Las Margaritas did exactly that. The Mix Quesadillas was a disappointment, as they were not the gooey cheesy kind. Instead, it was just meat and cheese inside a tortilla. At least, it came with a AMAZING fries for a side and we got a taste of their chicken. Their fries had a nice crispy exterior, but their chicken!! You know their chicken's good when your friend starts nodding in approval before even swallowing. I have to try their chicken tacos next time. Lastly, their Mango Margarita was also super flavorful! You could taste the alcohol alright, but the mango flavor was also prominent, with its sweet tartness making the drink addicting and refreshing for any hot day. This is easily my second favorite taco spot now. The staff were also super nice and chill, with no one rushing you. I had a great experience here, and definitely recommend you try it out if you're in need of some fire tacos in Brooklyn.

Sally l.

Yelp
We actually visited the express, that's a few doors down (okay, maybe the next block over). Service was friendly, drinks and food were fairly tasty. It was quiet throughout the whole duration I was there, not many tables. Waitress was very attentive.

Bovemsa C.

Yelp
Fish tacos are decent. Burrito is huge and had to eat it with a knife and fork. Fries are crispy and tasty.

Franchesca R.

Yelp
Wow! Drinks were fantastic , the food .... ate every bite. Highly recommend 10/10. Lastly the price was very accommodating for everything we got . They start off with chips and then ended with a nice dessert .

May M.

Yelp
Never been so disgusted with such horrible service. Waiting for 10 minutes just being ignored as if we don't even exist. I do get busy, but a hello or give me a minute would be nice. Tried to make eye contact and just ignored until I finally said something on my way out. I have gone here so many times! Unbelievable and very disappointed. I was so excited to come here. Went to the Mexican restaurant a block away and was treated like a human being.

Kristina K.

Yelp
Generally I love this place but and it deserves 5 stars but today I ordered tacos and it's like nothing on them . Empty and tasteless. I've called once , waited 5 minutes on the phone on hold , then called again to hear that's this is how tacos are served. I ordered everything on tacos and paid accordingly, still no one offered me to replace my order . Very disappointed with today experience .

Vivian L.

Yelp
This place has such good food! I came on a Friday afternoon (around 5pm) and the place was bussin - good food, good mood, and good drinks. You can tell that everyone in bay ridge loves this place. The empanadas were really good - we got carne and there was meat potatoes and some type of sauce in it - highly recommend. I ordered the al pastor platter and I was surprised at just how much food came with it. There was one plate of al pastor, one plate for my side (rice and beans) and also a side of tortillas. This was so much food and def worth the price. The tacos looked like they were also super stuffed. The drinks are strong and the food is delicious - eat more could you ask for. The tables have a time limit and they're spaced out / have plastic barriers.

Kortni C.

Yelp
I love their tacos arabes, horchata, piña coladas, and steak dishes! Their food is always good and I always ask to come here when I go out to eat. Their service, however, could be a little better. Sometimes the waitresses stand around in the back chatting to each other and don't pay attention to customers who need a water refill, the check, or other things. I have to personally go up there myself to ask for stuff because they don't notice me when i have my hand raised

Olivia W.

Yelp
Hands down Brooklyn has the best tacos ! Manhattan portions just don't justify the high price tag. My friend recommended this place and I can definitely tell why! Usually, Tacos El Bronco is my go-to tacos place but I'm adding Las Margaritas to my list as well. The restaurant is extremely cozy and warm. They've started to decorate the place with Christmas decorations as well. My friend and I were quickly seated to a table as soon as we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. The menu was quite extensive so we spent a good 15 minutes trying to figure out our order. I had the horchata, shrimp and carnitas tacos, entrant fajitas (comes with rice and beans/tiny side of sour cream and guacamole), and French fries. I was hesitant to try horchata because I've had a bad experience in another place, but surprisingly their Horchata was not grainy at all! It's not overly sweet and perfect to wash down the oiliness from the rest of our meal. The tacos were humongous, like quite literally. If you've ever had tacos in the city, you know it can range $5-6 dollars with very minimal fillings. Not Las Margaritas. Seriously, the shrimp ($4.75) and carnitas ($3.50) tacos was so packed with guacamole and meat that I could've just ordered three and call it a day. The only complaint I had was that the meat was quite oily that our hands were slathered with oil after we finished each bite. The entrana fajita (skirt steak) was pretty standard. I thought the steak was pretty hard to chew. When paired with the rice and beans in a tortilla wrap, I thought this dish was quite delicious and not oily at all. You can make a full burrito out of this if you wanted to because there was so much food. Lastly, the French fries was surprisingly very crispy. If the fries are good, then it means the restaurant is good as well am I right ? I'll definitely be back if I'm around the area because this is definitely a bang for your buck place !

Jj L.

Yelp
Rude female servers and refer to you as "chino" while they talk about you a few feet away. They ignore you and look away even though they see you trying to get their attention. They also took my food and drink away without asking if I was done. I was not finished..

Cristina G.

Yelp
Las Margs reigns supreme when it comes to tacos. I've tried all of the Mexican spots in Bay Ridge at this point, and Las Margs has become my go-to. It has also been one of the only places I will order from during quarantine. My favorite always has been and always will be the chorizo tacos and Nachos Texanos. Their empanadas do give me life though. Delivery is always fast and friendly, and they always call my cell when they're at the door to give me a heads up. Contactless delivery made easy. Can you tell I love this place?! I'm so happy they're open during lockdown (and in general).

Anonumis H.

Yelp
I am a regular customer here at this place and come here very often. I am very close to the owner, and every time I come in he gives me a smile on his face. Also, the Mexican culture and ambiance really comes together when I am here. Also, the food is AMAZING!! Today, I ordered a guacamole and nachos, as well as some tacos, one with beef, one with chicken, and one with shrimp. They were all amazing and all were a really good taste. When I was here for this visit, there was a birthday taking place. The event was amazing, with the servers giving them Mexican hats and took pictures. Overall review, you have to come and spend your money here. Personal opinion; would recommend the Guacamole and Chips. Trust me; it sent my taste buds on a ride.

Yoo J.

Yelp
The guacamole was fresh-tasting (albeit bland) and the tortilla chips had a nice corn flavor. In fact, the only little things that marred my experience were a watery mojito served in a seemingly three-quarter-size glass and service sufficiently inattentive (despite the place being mostly empty) that I practically had to run back and forth myself. But those tortilla chips - very nice!

Claire C.

Yelp
The quesabirria was insanely delicious. Consomé was included. The ingredients were fresh, seasoning and presentation were perfect. Service was fast and friendly. This is our new favorite place.

Baira B.

Yelp
There are always a lot of people here. Thought why? After my visit, I made up my mind: I liked the large portions. When we were waiting for our order, they brought us nachos + sauce and water for free. It's a great place to celebrate a birthday. I will come here again, it's fun

Maulik M.

Yelp
Great little bar/restaurant serving delicious Mexican food with courteous customer service. We accidentally ran into this hidden gem while visiting Dyker Heights and I have no complaints. Finally a Mexican restaurant that taste unique compared to many others. They do a really good job with their Tacos and Tostadas. We also tried their authentic chalupas and Guac which were to die for. They also provide are chips and salsa with your meal. Check out their agua frescas if soda and beer aren't your thing. Service is great they really know how to take care of you. Even during busy times they make sure you are enjoying yourself. Only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because of their slow service but that is expected when they're fully booked. If you're in the area stop by for this under the radar spot in Bay Ridge, BK.

Gilbert R.

Yelp
Great Mojitos, Fantastic Service and AWESOME Tacos. I love this spot.................................

Lauren S.

Yelp
Upon receiving our order, we discovered an incorrect item had been sent. Rather than apologizing, the woman handling our order insisted we pay for the correct item. Refusing to pay extra, we declined. The other food we received was subpar, with dry pork and poorly flavored plantains. Needless to say, I won't be ordering from here again or recommending it to anyone.

Yeon Y.

Yelp
It has been one of my fav Mexican restaurants in Bay Ridge. But when we visited there recently, they charged us with 15% tip in the original amount of the bill then gave us the receipt as if it were the original amount. Without knowing that, we tipped them 20%. (And that's based on the original + 15% tip!!) We called them later on and asked for the explanation but they failed to give us legit explanations. They just kept lying and won't even let us talk to the manager. I won't be returning to this place ever again.

Victor F.

Yelp
Closed at 11pm sharp... turned away. But their signs say open and there's at least a dozen customers in there. Too bad because the drinks are pretty good.

Nayeli L.

Yelp
Not sure why my food was so plain and no flavor at all, even the salsa looked and tasted dry. I came in on a Friday afternoon and ordered empanadas to go. One of each, chicken, beef and cheese. The cheese empanada was filled little cubes of cheese that tasted old. I tried so hard to like it bc I was starving and I saw how good reviews were but it was a miss for me. Staff was friendly and there were about a good 5-8 people dining in. Ambiance looked and felt chill but don't think I'd come back.

Emely F.

Yelp
Soooo yummmy! One of My favorite Mexican spots! Went during the summer stroll on Friday after work, great service the food was fresh. We ordered a bunch of tacos and empanadas and that was the best choice! Since we were drinking mojitos frozen margarita and sangria . Deff a good spot to get lit and eat! They're in bay ridge, check them out.

Javvy K.

Yelp
Best chorizo torta ever, even after hours I save it for later for my lunch on the night it's a killer torta that they make, hats off to the chefs.

Alicia C.

Yelp
My friend was craving tacos and yelp suggested this place around her house and we decide to give it a try. We couldn't be happier to have come here. We had fish tacos, beef tongue tacos and chicken burrito and of course a guanabana margarita. I love the different flavors margaritas such as guanabana and guayaba in addition to the regulars strawberry and passion fruit. The food is absolutely delicious and right on point. Not too salty but not bland. LoVE the free chips and salsa. Service was a bit slow but our waitress was awesome. Can't wait to go back.

Nathalia N.

Yelp
Came on a Friday night with a party of 5. We were seated right away and waited for the rest of our party. The food came out pretty quick. Each table is given complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is sweet and sour (mango, cilantro and a touch of pepper.). The nacho with carne asada was mediocre, the beef was dry and big chunks. I didn't care for the calamari either. Everything else tasted fresh and the tacos were stuffed with meat to the max. The margaritas were delicious.

Charlie C.

Yelp
I've been trying to eat more plant based so I got the veggie tacos. It comes stuffed with guac, beans and rice. Also comes with mild and spicy salsa. With veggie tacos this good who needs meat? Fun fact - Did you know that coriander is the same thing as cilantro???

Gabriel R.

Yelp
I wish I coul give Zero stars for this restaurant I called for delivery this afternoon and a guy who answered the phone I'm guessing is the owner said the minimum for delivery is $15 and my order was $10 I said I'll bless the delivery guy he still saying no then I said ok charge me $15 and send it over and he hanged up the phone on me then I said we might got disconnected or whatever I called back then a nice lady answered I said I placed an order can I add something else since I said whatever I'll eat later on again and she said oh what you ordered I said what I ordered and then she said I'm sorry I cant deliver for you I said why she said because my attitude I said mine or the rude guy who answered the phone before? Then she said I'm sorry and I'm completely understood since she's just a worker but I'll say that guy who answers phones have a terrible customer service and the owner is a completely clown on the phone I normally don't ever do a bad reviews but I think this place deserved it since he was so rude on the phone then I called coroyork a cross the street they came for $10 and I tip the delivery guy another $10 he was so nice and the person on the phone too I'm a restaurant manager here in bay ridge I deal with a lot of people every day and I never ever gave this attitude to no one I'm always happy and try to make my customers happy but this place is trash with that owner

Suki C.

Yelp
Wanted tacos for NYE and decided to come here for some! We ordered 14 total and first, they packaging for the number of tacos is already a win! we got to trays with the tacos laid out nicely and individually wrapped. The guac did turn colors because we made some errands befor making it home but the tacos are STUFFED. Al Pastor is my favorite- they dont include pineapples in their al pastors like I am used to but it still tasted really good. The tacos are so generous in size and after two, I felt full! I dont usually come all the way to bay ridge for tacos but if I crave tacos, I'd definitely come back here!

Melissa R.

Yelp
This place is still spot on after all these years. They're so consistent with their taste and how fresh the food is. I'm happy to support them during this bleak time that's so rough for small businesses. If yelp says they don't deliver to your home, just try calling them. They make an exception for me!!! Definitely one of the places worth supporting so they survive. Things I love: ~ Large horchata! (most places make gross horchata) ~ Seafood soup with toasted seasoned bread ~ Chicken tacos ~ Pescado cemita poblana (a fried fish sandwich with white cheese and green leaves that tastes like cilantro) ~ French fries - sooooo darn good. I put them in the toaster oven the next day if they make it that far.

Yelp
What a better way to celebrate "Taco Tuesday" than with some yummy tacos and a frozen margarita from Las Margaritas? I've been craving one of their famous tacos for weeks after stealing a bite of a steak taco from a family member. I'm honestly not a fan of red meats, but their steak taco is definitely one of their best sellers! It's tender, juicy, and delicious! The shrimp tacos are great too! Both the steak and shrimp tacos are cooked to the perfect temperature and time to prevent them from having a rubbery or overly chewy texture. My mother claimed the spicy chorizo and pork tacos were delicious and worthwhile as well! The added guacamole and toppings complimented the steak and shrimp tacos very well! Add a squeeze of fresh lime and you'll feel as though your taste buds have taken a trip to Mexico; truly authentic and exquisite! I love their homemade corn tortillas as well, they are so yummy. Their guacamole and salsas are also homemade and truly addictive! Don't even bother with the chips, they'll just fill you up and take space away from those yummy tacos. Just add those spreads directly to your tacos and thank me later!

Phil L.

Yelp
Man this is a go to spot if you're craving authentic tacos with a robust flavor. I decided to try my two go-to tacos at this spot to see what they were all about. I went with the lengua (beef tongue) and the chorizo (pork sausage) tacos. The beef tongue was tender, succulent, and had the right amount of fattiness to it. The chorizo was packed with flavorful spices and grilled to perfection. Each taco was topped generously with the usual garnishes such as onion, cilantro, and guac. Squeeze a bit of the lime that comes with it to add just enough acidity just to balance it out and you have, by my definition, the perfect taco.
