"A paleta is a Mexican version of a popsicle—a sweet, frozen pop made with fresh fruit (and sometimes even with vegetables and nuts). This adorable little shop, which was founded by two sisters who grew up in Mexico, makes them fresh daily with seasonal fruits and vegetables. Unsurprisingly, kids go crazy for these."

"Las Paletas, 12South by Peck & Company. Winner of every single popsicle award there is, this 12South staple plays host to the local neighborhood popsicle junkies, tourists, and all those nomadic hipsters with kids. With flavors like Corn, Avocado, and crowd-favorite Creamy Lime, prepare yourself for multiple visits.(Additional Photography by Justin Chesney)"

I love Las Paletas! They are our summertime tradition to visit at least once (we are not in the neighborhood...). At the moment, they have a limited menu, but the popsicles are still on point! I am never disappointed in taste or quality.

Great place to try especially during the summer. Love the flavor selection and quality. 4 dollars per popsicle.

I recently toured Nashville for the first time. An experience that was full of wonderful discoveries and amazing experiences thanks to a few amazing insider tips. But my favorite tip might just well be Las Palates. Because the south has a love affair with popsicles. Ice cream can be found here too. But if you look around, you'll notice that the humble popsicle--that simple summertime treat from childhood--has been pushed to more exalted heights in places like Georgia and Tennessee. And one of the very best examples is Nashville's own Las Palentas. As you've no doubt read among the glowing reviews here on Yelp, this place is known for its variety. An abundance of delicious and unexpected flavors. So many that I would argue that you must try more than one. But for me, what sets this place apart is the quality. Because freezing things is easy. But creating a treat the can balance the subtle favors and textures of these ingredients without an overbearing sweetness, and in a form that is sturdy without being an ice cube, is what makes Las Palentas great. Fantastic execution is the hallmark of a great cook. And Las Palentas nails it. Finally, I encourage you to try something unexpected. Because, while the fruity and refreshing flavors are terrific. The real treat for those in the know is Avocado. Which is sublime, as is the Golden Milk. So given 'em a try. But event if that isn't your speed. Do try Las Palentas.

They have a WIDE range of options here. I have never been to a popsicle place with so many flavors! They always have more flavors in the back so be sure to ask them about their extra flavors! The pops are made with organic ingredients and they taste very yummy! They have many cream and fruit options, some of which have fresh whole fruit in there. They close pretty early so try to go there before early evening.

What a cute little place. While visiting Nashville, I was walking in the area and ran into this place. I was so pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this little gem. They have such a wide variety of popsicles, with some very fun and interesting flavors and combinations. I had the grapefruit, and it was delicious. It tastes so fresh, and was indeed refreshing on the warm day. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

The popsicles are delicious and it's right across from a park. A great place to go get a popsicle and enjoy the weather.

Mas deliciousness! During my first weekend to Nashville, we stopped in based on a recommendation. It was so good, we went back the next day to try another uniquely-wonderful flavor. Don't miss out on this treat on a hot summer day!

Yelp
I stopped in after shopping in the area and I am very happy I did! It was a hot, sunny day so this was a great place to stop for a quick, cool treat. There were many flavors of paletas offered so it took me a moment to decide, but I love any combination of chocolate and spice/heat/chili so naturally I picked the "Hot Chocolate with Chili" paleta. The cashier was very friendly and told me the story of the business and how it is owned by two sisters. It's always a plus when you can support a small business! Definitely check this place out next time you're in the area.

Yelp
High quality. I am glad they were able to reopen in a new location here. This is authentic stuff.
