Las Rosas Review - Allapattah - Miami - The Infatuation

"There’s pretty much always a live band playing at this divey bar in Allapattah, and things definitely tilt towards rock here. It’s got those kind of walls you’re slightly afraid to touch and bathrooms that make you want to hold it until you get home. But the multi-room space attracts the kind of young, creative crowd you used to find in Wynwood before it got swallowed by developers." - Ryan Pfeffer

Great spot to hang out with friend and enjoy, different is atmospheres you can just go for a few drinks and hangout, you can play pool, you can dance or fly depends of the music, you can go to the outside space and hangout with your friend, I loved the place good variety of drink, different kind of beers you can pick and choose whatever you want, very dark place for dark people heheheh or for curious people. For me 5 stars, love the place the people and the art in the walls too. Like my review if it was helpful! 😉

Google
A great place to vibe. Some say its the new church hills. It has 3bars, a dance/stage area and a back area with a bar were you can smoke and a view video game cabinets. They have some cool themed events like goth night or karaoke.

Google

While in Miami I was searching for an alternative/punk/goth bar or club to hang out with some of my people and I found it at Las Rosas. Three rooms to drink and dance, and patio in the back. Las Rosas was the first club experience since covid started and I was not disappointed. Will be returning next Miami trip.

Google
Yooooooooooo this is a hidden gem! It's not in your ideal location and you would not think it's a bar but once you get inside it has three rooms and an outside patio. Has free games to play and also a pool table. Plus it has a photo booth, like who doesn't love a photo booth! Brings are decent priced but if you come here it's to see the live music. I went and today they had like jazzy pop band that was tight. Other days they have like punk bands and a little of everything. There also gay friendly. Totally worth coming to!!

Google
Nice chill place to grab a drink and dance. Very laid back vibe and drinks are cheap. They also have karaoke on some nights. There's a photo booth where you can take pictures and a pool table.

Google
Very chill down to earth place to meet with friends and have a drinks. Great service, good music, and fair prices. You never know what you will find at Las Rosas.

Google
Fun, grungy bar. The drinks are decently priced, although they were served in tiny plastic cups. I've been here a couple of times- most recently for a live music event during art basel. The performers (@beatsbyforza, Baby City Club, Toy Wapo, Jose Yellow, etc.) put on a great show and were so fun to watch! Outside of that day, I've heard old school rock here, which is always fun!

Yelp
I've been coming to las rosas for 4 years! It's one of my favorite dive bars in Miami! The bartenders and staff in general are lovely!!!! They have a cute little patio !!! A pizza truck sometimes parks out there too , which makes it the perfect after bar snack!!! Cute little vintage video games in the back!!!! Love coming to the black market and gender bender nights!

Yelp
My 2 girlfriends dragged me here. The doorman only insisted on checking one of us three girls. I guess 2 looked more innocent than the other??? Place is freezing cold inside. Place is dark with... I'm just not gonna go into describing the crowd. Bartenders were ok, plenty of bars - one in every room. HUGE problem is the bathroom. The doors are so close to the toilet you can basically not fully squat down. Not that anyone would ever wanna have their butt cheeks touch the seatings here but you almost can't unless you're tiny. So NOT for tall or gender neutral or disabled visitors. And bar is located in the neighborhood more of a dark spot of Allapattah. The bands are not reflecting the review, but it wouldn't have improved one thing. I can't describe genre or style. Not sure what I heard but was like most people avoiding the bands and going outside, but then again going inside as the people outside were just... well weird. Left after 2 hours of torture. Edit, After the owner's response: Yup that's how good a friend I am to my invites, but in the end I really had to pee... ;)

Yelp
I've been coming to rosas for a couple of years now and it's my number one bar to visit. It has that grungey vibe and it's super chill. They host multiple events and always have live bands playing they always post their schedules on their insta page. I love how drink prices are reasonable compared to the Miami usual and they have different specials throughout the week. Definitely stop by for a drink and some good tunes.

Yelp
Very cool. Divey. Dark. Jukebox open to all but emo Metal is default genre of choice. Couple arcade games in the back. laissez faire sharpie policy means basically every inch of interior is signed or scribbled by someone. Come here after midnight and you'll have a good time

Yelp
Sad to hear this place is or might be closing, has this awesome concert venue feel in most of its rooms plus the huge rose light is beautiful (can I have that if y'all close). The drinks where great and so was the service. Wish they would've played more emo and metal rather than rap most of the time tho.

Yelp
WOW. this place. WOW WOW WOW - ever been to the old Vagabond location in downtown? Oh how I miss it.... well welcome to Las Rosas. Several bars, indoor/outdoor venue, and LIVE MUSIC. It is still in a sketch part of town (just like the old Vagabond) but once you make it inside it is nothing short of magical. I am in love. It has such an eclectic mix of people that you just can't find anywhere else in Miami. They have a full bar with some local beer offerings as well. The music is fantastic. Bands that are up and coming - perhaps from the area, perhaps not - makes no difference to me as I don't know where else in this city you can get this experience with this type of music (especially now that Electric Pickle is saying goodnight). I hope this gem stays around for some time and I will most definitely be going back again and again. And again and again :0)

Yelp
A tequila bar in Alapattah with a serious drinking problem. Unassuming on the outside, quirky and mysterious on the inside. I vote "Fuck Yeah" on this one. Here's why: 1. They have SO MUCH TEQUILA OPTIONS. Makes me wanna put on a sombrero and ride a horse. 2. Video games are better when you're saucy. 3. Outdoor area has maximum chill space. 4. The drinks are perfectly crafted. It's an art. Order the SuckMyKiss or the 13thPick with a Tajin Rim. [trust me] 5. Used to be a hooker bar & now it's a spot where refined bar heads can come and stretch their legs away from the Miaminess of Miami. 6. They can make you a proper Banderitas & last but not least... Let's give it up for Alapattah. Tequila in the "West Wynwood" area will have you coming back for more. PicoUnion was extremely intense. So many flavors. So little time.

Yelp
Great dive bar, nice and eclectic crowd. It's a huge locale that can accommodate different events at once. I like the four distinct spaces: two bars, a stage area, and the outdoor patio. Didn't pay for the my drink so I have no clue what the pricing is, but the bartenders were very friendly. Think of it as a much nicer, cleaner Churchills.

Yelp
Bouncer would not let my friend in for no reason. She had her ID and even went to her car to get her registration showing her birthday and name. He just *decided* it was fake for some reason. She is a Black woman and that could possibly be a reason because I really can't think of another reason why. She has been here before and had multiple guests inside vouching for her. I'm a regular here but I don't feel comfortable coming back until I have a personal apology or explanation given to me/my friend directly by the bouncer who said his name is "Gabriel" (heavy set, about 5'11, dark hair, Hispanic).i have been coming here for a very long time, I have a relationship with the patrons and some of the bartenders and I never took it to be a racist place.

Yelp
Awesome little hole in wall bar, located on corner. Looks tiny from the outside. It quite large when you go inside. Fabulous drinks with wonderful prices. Can't go wrong when you in bar. Live music on certain days. Specials on Wednesday or Thursday. Coming back.

Yelp
I've been coming here since they opened, and every year and counting. This is "my spot" when I want to get away from the overwhelming Miami tourist block next door. This is where the music used to happen, and will happen again soon. The bartenders are great people and won't force a fake smile or a shit attitude, just people being, and doing it without complete disparity, the down to earth folk you'll want to get fucked up with type deal. The crowd can be weird, and the best sense of the word. You won't feel the judgements you would feel anywhere else because everyone is just not giving a fuck about you, unless you do something stupid. The type of place where you can talk to a random ass crowd half shit faced and have a great conversation about something irrelevant yet relevant. This place is needed here, not many spots like it, a getaway for some, and we've already lost a few like it during the pandemic (RIP Corner). When I get asked "where to next" I usually smile and say "Rosas?" and I'm happy it ends that way.

Yelp
Dope spot. Bands, bar, patio, food trucks. Yes. Chill vibe. Feels more NYC than Miami... love it. In the front bar people can take over the playlist. Pretty sick bc you never know what kind of music you'll hear while you're playing pool or street fighter. Check it out. You won't be sorry.

Yelp
I'm so happy that las Rosas is following protocol! All workers wearing masks inside and tables and the bar, as well as the outside is all social distanced! One of my worries during covid was going to a bar and having it be packed but Las Rosas has it covered! Fun and you don't have to worry about covid!

Yelp
Love love love las rosas. This bar is definitely a little gem. Don't be fooled by its appearance, take a step inside and you'll be surprised by its size. There's a photo booth and pool table right when you walk in. Keep walking and you'll see a dance floor off to the side and another area for live music. In the back they have an open space full of picnic tables for you to enjoy this nice Miami weather. Don't forget to play some vintage arcade games while you're there, which are completely free! The drinks are so affordable and the servers are super nice. Love this little spot.

Yelp
I always was intrigued by this place because of the red neon rose light. Couple friends and I had dinner at my place and decided to go out for a drink after. My friend mentioned Las Rosas and I was totally with it because I had remembered seeing friends photos there with the red vibes. The bartender was gracious and provided us with excellent service.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a concert. Cool grungy vibes. There are a few rooms so there's space to spread out inside the bar as well as tables in the front. Bathrooms are really clean for a dive bar, or any bar in Miami for a matter of fact!
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite bar in all of Miami! Las Rosas is an underground hidden gem that's like a 2nd home to me and my friends. I've literally had some of the most amazing (and drunken) nights spent here. Drinks are affordable and the vibe is so chill, which is why I love coming here. One of the many reasons I also go is to see my girl, Teal! She's the best bartender ever. I highly recommend stopping by Las Rosas if you've never been!

Yelp
We were recommended to come here from a staff at an Apple Store. Since we were visiting, we wanted to try a "local spot" and apparently this dive bar is a good location for a weeknight out. When he said it was a dive bar, he meant it. We arrived and there was a live punk band playing in the back room. The interior decor is what you'd expect from a punk/dive bar, graffiti and stickers on the wall everywhere. They also have nightly drink specials I believe, and on Sunday it was $3 PBR and $5 absolute drinks. Since we were at a dive bar we asked if they had pickle juice, and they actually did! So we ordered a round of Jameson shots with pickle juice. Will definitely try this again next time we are in Miami.

Yelp
Great vibez and staff! Great place to drink and kick it! A real Metal bar in the heart of Miami! With real people!

Yelp
Really cool hipster bar in the middle of nowhere. I loved the 80s Mexican/rocker look and atmosphere with old school game machines like Pacman (free to use), a pool table (also free), and photo booth ($2). The drinks were pretty good, although very different from your traditional sugary cocktails. Their twist on the old fashion has tequila and chocolate in it. I had two different palomas, also made with tequila and it's a common drink in Mexico. The mango one was the best. Cocktails are about $10 avg. We also had the nachos with chili and cheese; a yummy snack, but a little sketched out that they serve it in a Doritos bag that felt melted. Only complaints would be that parking was sketchy if you don't get it close to the bar. It was pretty empty on a Thursday night. Also, the bartender didn't once tell me that it was ladies night while I was there (girls drink free wells liquor), which would've been nice to know. Also, they don't really serve any meals, so don't come hungry. Overall really cool place if you just want to hang with friends or even take a date to be able to actually talk to them and play some pool. Not a great place if you're hungry, want to dance, or want to be in a crowded place.

Yelp
Great drink specials and be sure to look online to see what's going on as every day of the week they have different specials and different activities going on. I know sometimes they have open mic or karaoke so it's not too shabby. They have a nice back area outside where you can smoke and drink and get away from the loudness of the indoors. So a bit of everything for everyone!
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
All you need to know about this place is that the arcade games are free and the area is not crowded at all at 2 AM on a Saturday. Need I say more? Head over. They had me at free Mortal Kombat!
google avatar

Joe G.

Yelp
This place is pretty sick honestly, there's many mad energy to suit your vibe no matter which room you're in. If you manage to catch a young bartender with black hair and bangs named Tara, she deserves the biggest tip for making the ride 100x easier. Enjoy! && Be cool!

Yelp
Las Rosas is located on the border of Allapatah and Wynwood. This is a 20 somethings hangout. Owned by the owner of Wood Tavern. I used to go to this bar often, however over time I have seen the bar change, and its time to move on. There's plenty of street parking that is not so secure because I have had my passenger window smashed for no reason at all, and I am not the only one. They also have a parking lot located at the back of the bar, which is not guarded, so you park at your own risk. Walking in... there is a man at the door that searches you, who never seems friendly. There's a large flat screen television on the wall, an oval looping bar, with comfortable bar stools around the curved bar. There's one pool table in the corner, and 3 tables against the wall with seating. The atmosphere is engulfed in reds, with a large lit rose behind the bar. There's a "Touch tone" juke box as you enter the bar that allows you to pick songs you want to hear with a huge selection. (You can download the APP through Itunes and you can choose songs through the app). There is an adjacent bar which is next to the stage area that hosts local and bands from all over the country. Almost every night they have different bands, with no entrance fee, which is refreshing. On Wednesday nights they have "Words and Wine open mic", which features local talent and many times there's an open jam playing outside on the open patio area. The bathrooms are no so clean, and are fast down spiraling similar to the bathrooms at Churchills. The drinks are cheap. The bartenders are nice except for maybe one who seems angry all the time and chooses who he wants to serve. Attitudes run rife here. Some of the patrons seem to be out of their minds, others seem to be on other planets, and some just seem to be as normal as you and I. Rapidly becoming part of Allapatah fast. They have an Instagram page: lasrosasmiami

Yelp
I just moved to the neighborhood and I fell in love with this spot right away!! Im excited to have a rock bar so close to my apartment, plus the drinks are dirt cheap during happy hour!! Totally recommend it! They don't have a drink menu but they have a pretty well stocked bar. Their beers are limited, but beer makes me fat anyways so I didn't care! It's a lot bigger on the inside than it appears to be on the outside and the vibe and live music are legitimately the best I have seen so far in Miami, the band that was playing was dope but a lot of people weren't really in the band area which was odd but it gave enough space for people who wanted to dance. I was disappointed they didn't have food, but the cutest bartender told me sometimes they have a food truck. I didn't catch her name, she had green glasses. I know she said it but I can't recall it, She was very personable and sweet, you know the type of bartender that make you feel like your a regular and have been coming to the bar for like forever. All the staff was really very nice, a yellow haired girl was also very sweet when she took my order. The bathrooms are hella tight squeeze but at least they were clean and they had toilet paper so that's a positive note, the best part is the bar doesn't have that nasty beer smell, if you drink a lot you know what I mean. Overall I rate this place a 5 of 5!

Yelp
I've visited Las Rosas several times now and it's definitely a chill spot to have a few drinks and lounge. It's smack in the middle of Allapattah, Wynwood and Midtown, so the location could be better but it's a very cool spot that's in an area that's coming along. The bartenders are very attentive and are always on the look out to make sure you get your drinks and order, even when it gets crowded. The bar has several spots to hang out and have drinks and socialize. The first section is the main bar and lobby area. There are plenty of stools around the bar and seating along the wall for people to sit down and chill. There is also a pool table which is almost a staple at any bar. To the left is a hall way that leads to a second room with its own bar as well. This is pretty spacious and has its own bar as well for you to hang out and enjoy music and socialize. The next room serves as a space for live bands and a dance floor. While visiting in Saturday there was a band playing which was very good. The music I've noticed that is typically played here is a mix of folk and soft rock music along with some alternative music. There are classic arcade machines near the back area, which are free and you can always find someone swinging away at Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, love it! Finally, the outside area in the back can be a bit intense for some people because of the smoke and volume of people but ultimately chill. I've noticed the weekend usually gets quite full but week days are much more relaxing and the vibe is much more relaxed. The bar can cater to anyone but it's very punky and hippie but again it caters to anyone, it may not be for everyone but it's an experience and I enjoyed it.

Yelp
I love this bar! I come here pretty often now that I'm back in Miami. It's far enough from all the Wynwood chaos & they have a free parking lot around back. You can find street parking as well. The drinks are cheap, especially for happy hour. Half off drinks from 3-8pm! They usually have some specials running, they write them up on the wall. It also happens to be half a block from one of my best friend's place, so I run into people I know here a lot. I've also made some new friends here! It's a dive bar & has a relaxed vibe. Everyone I've spoken to has been super friendly & chill. One of the lovely bartenders has already memorized my face & last name so I always go to her for my drinks. I don't have to agonize over telling someone what my last name is and how it's spelled (it's hard to spell in a loud bar) When you walk in, you see the main bar with a jukebox and a photobooth for all of your drunken memory needs. The next room has another bar & the room after that is the dancefloor/live music room. They have a lot of different parties & shows. Then there's the back, where they have plenty of picnic tables & ashtrays. I particularly enjoy The Love Below party they just started hosting on Tuesday nights. My boyfriend loves Tigermilk, which is a monthly Britpop night. I heard they might be offering food soon? That'd be dope. See you soon, Rosas!

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Every time I come I feel so at home. It's basically the only alternative bar in Miami and for us alt folk, it's such a treasure. If you want to listen to good metal/rock music and jam out this this the place to go. Every one of the staff makes you feel at home and that's exactly what Miami needs. You want 80's music? Metal? Love bands? Drag? This is the place to go.

Jose G.

Yelp
Wow, I freaking loved this place! I came on a weekend with a group of friends to watch a live band play. They were celebrating their 2 year anniversary and had some very good drink specials ($6 vodka mules). Definitely a dive bar, you get a full service bar in the front and middle. There's another bar out back by the Patio area. The stage is close to the crowd and easy to see. They have a billiards table in the corner, you put your money down to get in line to challenge the winner. The bathrooms are decent, they're right outside the hallway and just between them and the patio they have 3 arcade machines for some retro throwbacks. The place can get extremely crowded some times and annoying to move around. That was really the only bummer but it really speaks to how amazing this place is, definitely worth checking it out!
google avatar

Johanna P.

Yelp
I came to this place with my friend on Sunday night. It was pretty chill place. There's enough room for everyone to move around and dance. There are two bars you could order drinks from, a stage for live performances and an outside area for smokers and "smokers". The drinks were fairly cheap, but the choices were very limited. The ONLY reason I didn't give this place five starts is because I saw people sniffing coke right in front of me. I get that's it's a dive bar, but they need to go somewhere with that. I SAID WHAT I SAID!!!
google avatar

Luis C.

Yelp
Only one word can describe the people and ambiance of this place: AMAZING. From Tara at the Bar, to the beer, the bands, the mixture of different crowds or subcultures that are chillin in harmony, the graffiti, the security that are pretty cool, etc. Unfortunately, the great majority of the people there aren't Into Punk so I gotta put up with some music I don't care for, but still had a killer time with old friends last night . Beers and laughs all night. Oi and Punk forever!
google avatar

Nat L.

Yelp
I wanted to like this bar. Reviews were good and seems like a local dive bar. The issue is, when my wife and I walked in the door we were immediately asked for ID which is fine, but then the bouncer proceeded to aggressively pat me down, touching every part of my body, and I mean every part. It was one of the most un-comfortable experiences I've ever had at any bar anywhere. And I've been to bars in Cuba, NYC, Tijuana, Africa, Honduras. Never had this experience. I would have kind of understood if the bar was really crowded or if it was a high end club that had some bad experiences in the past. But the bar was completely empty. Thankfully he didn't search my wife in this same way, but he did search through her entire purse. Very invasive bouncer. The bright spot was the bartender who was very nice and gave us suggestions for great local spots in the neighborhood.

Yelp
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this spot. very un-Miami. no frills, good music, good drinks and lots of fun. great bands & guest djs.
google avatar

Adry G.

Yelp
Sweet spot to grab a drink! They don't have too many beer options when I went... But the staff was friendly, quick to attend & very personable. Space is pretty big so you have different options to move about. Live bands also frequent here so it was a cool night for some local entertainment!
google avatar

Paula B.

Yelp
I been to Las Rosas 2 times so far , and each time I been there I haven't had a good experience because the music dj really don't playy updated songs and they are really not connecting with their crowd I tried asking the dj very nicely if she could play some genre of music and she is wouldn't want to hear my suggestion. And then I ordered a Moscow mule I received it in a plastic red cup.
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Amazing! I am so happy with this place. Someone told me it was good and I went the next day, its probably my new go to spot! The room with the DJ was playing great music and next time i won't be wearing heels so you will find me drinking and dancing! Drinks were average price and the service was generally friendly. For sure a good spot, there is a space for eveyone....quieter outdoors, bar fly scene at the bar, and dance floor in the closed off room. Pretty good!!!

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Disappointing because I wanted to like this place but the staff is very rude. I heard about it from a lot of people but living in West Palm, I had never gotten a chance to go. It started at the door with the extremely aggressive bouncer, but I let it go and decided to try to enjoy the show inside. This place is a phenomenon because I met a lot of cool people at the bar and the outside patio area, but the bartenders generally ignore you and give you attitude. Not to mention that the drink tasted terrible. I read the google and yelp reviews after my experience to see if anyone else could relate and I'm shocked at how the manager or owner responds to some people, just dismissing or denying their experiences. I don't think I'll be going again the next time I go down to Miami.
google avatar

Cecilia P.

Yelp
Decided to try this out cause two of my favorite bartenders are working here now...Nicky & Tara. Basically, the old Churchill's crew have migrated here. They definitely brought the vibe and left the grime behind. This place is nicely decorated with a gorgeous massive gothic style chandelier and hide neon rose alongside video games and pool table. The music was great and we were having a great time when I went to the restroom and discovered that there was a whole dance club in the back. The DJ was amazing so we hung out there for awhile and burned off some calories. This place was pretty cool...my friend liked it a lot too and said that he found his new watering hole...

Yelp
Taberna las Rosas is a tequila heavy full-service bar that's looking to make an entrance into the Allapattah scene just west of Wynwood. The edgy and retro-inspired bar has a unique look with plenty of nostalgia-inducing art and design elements. There's plenty of seating around a large curving bar, along with a pool table, free arcade games, and a photo booth for fun. Drink prices are very modest and the bar has a unique offering of tequila-inspired cocktails, although I opted for beer instead. The only food offering are small bags of chips (Fritos, Doritos, etc) that they will gladly load up with nacho cheese, salsa, and jalapenos upon request. At the moment, street parking is very easy to come by in the area around the bar. I've been here a few times already and really enjoy the chill vibe and uniquely decorated interior, including a large neon rose. The staff and service have been great and I'm sure I'll be back for more.

Yelp
You know me... I can't resist a dark bar with ample opportunities to make awkward conversation over a pool table; why should you? -The games are free here (let's see how long that lasts ) -The bartenders are lovely and will gladly spill the beans if you pry the right way..I personally love asking about the stings and ladies of the night that gave this place it's rosy history. - the gin mules here are completely unorthodox but have a nice kick, come on... nothing about this building is traditional. -great drink specials!!!!!!

Yelp
Came in on a Wednesday night for a drink, low volume, good music. Bartender had a rude attitude. Bad service. Wouldn't come here again.

Yelp
This place deserves a 5 star for the sole fact that KYLIE works there at the bar. She's the kind of person that will change your whole existence. If you're having a bad day just go there and hopefully you are lucky to find her there because if there is any person that can brighten someone's day it's her. She is just the bringer of joy. When she was born the whole universe was just a better and happy place. I would love to add more to this review about the place etc. but nothing else really matters. Everything else is just an after thought. I hope you find this review useful.

Yelp
There's no other bar like "Rosita" as the old timers called this place before it's new rebirth. It's a huge space with lots of seating at the bar and around it. The only comparison would be Churchills but clean, roomy, good smelling, cold a/c, friendly and cute-cute staff, security and no pretensions. Ask the bartender for a bag of chips with cheese/beef/jalapeños. The eye candy is plentiful. There's live music and a generous happy hour on Wednesdays til close time. Follow on Instagram. Programming changes occur as they adjust to the demands. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Yelp
Be ready to invite big groups to this place. There's crazy space and the bar is extra long. I'd love to see how they're like on a weekend night, but the vibe seems right. Drinks are good, lighting is good, bartenders are cool... Parking might raise an eyebrow. But w.e, bro - relax.
