"Some rooftops feel like pre-apocalypse parties where everyone just learned how to drink. Others feel like upscale airport lounges where cocktails are priced like it’s the year 2036. Last Light falls somewhere in between - which is the best case scenario for a rooftop. It’s on top of Sister City (a hotel on the Lower East Side), and it’s a fun place to grab a drink with a couple of friends and enjoy a nice view, without having to shout over a song featuring Ed Sheeran and Gucci Mane." - Bryan Kim, Hillary Reinsberg

"They opened Last Light in April on the 11th floor of the hotel, a space featuring expansive views of the city and an outdoor patio. Cocktails, wine, craft beer, and small plates are served there." - Carla Vianna

"Last Light is a rooftop bar, but it isn’t the kind where you have a midnight dance party with a bunch of people you only just met. It’s more of a nice cocktail bar where you can have a casual drink with a couple of friends or coworkers. There’s a little indoor area with a small bar and a couple of booths, and there’s a large patio where you can hang out, drink negroni, and catch a sunset or shout all of your secrets at passing clouds. And if you decide to quit your job or leave work early, there’s a weekday Happy Hour from 3-6pm. photo credit: Emily Schindler" - Bryan Kim

Fab views of the city. Of the 3 rooftop bars all within a block of each other, this is the most chill and hipster. The indoors rooftop bar feels more stylish. The outdoors bar is randomly designed. Gets very windy up there also but watching the sunset is pretty extraordinary

Very good spot for a drink with a fantastic view!! We came here on November, it was a bit cold, but still nice to stay outside! The terrace is awesome, I cannot imagine how it has to be during the summer!! Cocktails are good, bit pricy, 35$ for two cocktails, no tip included, but hey this is New York, so not a bad price. The view, again, fantastic! Take a look on the pictures!they has a Dj too, good music, good style, but I guess that’s depends on the day and the Dj. Worth to try if you’re around, even if not, just go and enjoy!

Nice rooftop bar, modern industrial feel. The outdoor area has heaters and comfortable furniture and panoramic views from the freedom tower to the empire State building. Live DJ at night

Visited Last Light with a couple of friends on a rainy, foggy Sunday evening in the spring. Absolutely loved the experience! The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. Even in the fog and rain, the views are killer. Good vibes from the space and the music. Cocktails hit above their price point (favorites were the Road Flare and the Firecracker), and the bar snacks were delicious. Can’t wait to visit again soon!

Truly lovely rooftop bar with incredible views of the city. Not as overrun with tourists compared to other LES hotel rooftop bars, which is a very nice change of pace. Cocktails are fun and delicious without being annoying and over the top.

Very chill rooftop bar. It's located at a hotel with a beautiful view of NYC. IDs will be checked at the door before you go in the elevator to the entrance of the bar. This place feels like a bit like a hidden gem. A good amount of seatings indoor and outdoor. It was a bit chilly to be sitting outside for too long in late October. However, you can pretty much see all of the city. Restrooms were pretty clean. Services were friendly and quick. It got a little more crowded as the night went on but pretty cool bar to hang. It wasn't too loud and makes a good spot if you want to be lowkey.

This was an unexpectedly fun rooftop bar on the lower East side around the corner from the New Museum. When we were there on a chilly December day, they were featuring a faux tiki bar theme, with drinks served in ridiculous but amusing themed glasses. A chill atmosphere with a terrific view and nice cocktails. A great place to hang out for an hour or two to recoup in between errands.
