16 San Francisco Coffee Shops with Free Wifi and Legit Food

"There’s nothing to make you feel industrious like doing your laundry while you’re getting your work squared away in a clean, comfortable space next door. That’s the appeal of Laundré, a laundromat in back with a big cafe space in front serving Sightglass Coffee (plus trendy lattes like one with turmeric and one with beetroot) plus pastries from Vive La Tarte." - Daisy Barringer, Ellen Fort, Caleb Pershan

OVER PRICED RASIST ESTABLISHMENT! My family has been going here for years and I've seen such a revolving door regarding employees. Today after spending $40 to wash two loads the head attendant walked up to me while i was folding grabbed my fabric sheets and said, "I'm gonna pick these up now because you're making it dirty in here." Also telling me she's not my mom which is completely unprofessional ESPECIALLY because it was not done folding. To make the situation worse I was grabbing the fabric sheets placing them on the seat next to me in a couple had fell there was no opportunity to pick them up she entered my space and pointed me out THE ONLY BLACK WOMEN IN THE PLACE TO TELL ME I WAS MAKING IT DIRTY IN THERE! Then her and the rest of the staff proceeded to stand behind the desk and speak in Spanish while staring at me. Disgusting

Very nice Laundry Matt, and is my go-to in the City! About $6/1-3lb load. Last wash is 9pm, and hours are 5am-11pm - Mon-Sat.

The customer service, the quality of the equipment and the cleanliness of the facility are the reasons I frequent this fine establishment. They also provide powder detergent. Parking can be challenging at either location.

SerpAPI
Great place to do laundry. They offer exo friendly soap for free. Drying is free all day on Wednesdays. The staff are very helpful and there is wash and fold service. I'm coming back here for sure. I didn't get to try the pastry or coffee since I washed late at night. I'll come early next time.

Came here looking for a place to hangout between meals and to get some work done. WiFi is spotty but I had work to do that didn't require much internet use so it still worked out for me. They had oat milk as an option and my lavender latte was super yum. This place is mainly a laundromat, which I didn't use but apparently the machines are in decent shape. Great place to people watch as well.

SerpAPI
Great concept! An excellent laundromat, with new machines and fast dryers that take credit cards or quarters, plus good food and fast WiFi. All the staff I’ve dealt with were perfect, like totally into it and happy to inform or solve. Wednesday has a bonus feature unlocked. Sometimes busy during predictable peaks; see above the reviews for traffic meter

Coffee shop / workspace is now closed. Sucks having driven almost 30 min just to come to this spot for that benefit. Wash costs $6.50+ per machine. Space is clean and quiet, but no tables to work from which is what I was hoping for.

Didn't try the laundry, but the coffee was great. Huge open space, lots of light, clean design and good music!

Yelp
Very clean and convenient laundromat. Workers are helpful if you need help with anything. All machines take credit card but you can also use quarters. They also offer laundry wash and fold service but I have not tried this. I come here most weeks and almost never have to wait for a washing machine or dryer. Three different sized washing machines running between 5-12$. Dryers are 25c for 6min.

Nicole C.

Yelp
Lazaro is always working. So are the machines. I haven't been disappointed. The driers are amazing. The quarter machine doesn't work work Lazaro always helps. This is my favorite laundry mat ever. I hope Lazaro gets a holiday bonus or something. Even under pressure when the WiFi wasn't working and people couldn't use their cc on machines, he was calm and nice. : ) I know to come here because I get irritated at other laundry mats. There is a park on 20th and Capp so you can get sunshine. Love this place.

Elbert W.

Yelp
Ariana, owner was very kind and heard me out and addressed all of my concerns! I plan to continue to visit and appreciate the customer service.

Yelp
I'm not too familiar with laundry locations but this seems to be a great one! Price is about $12 per "large load" taking about 27 minutes. The staff is very friendly and helpful here to get used to using the machines. They do have a wash and fold service. I haven't used this though. They have free drying here on Wednesday's I believe! I'm here on a Monday afternoon and it's pretty empty with lots of machines for use. When I arrived the women working was wiping down the machines for sanitary purposes. It smells really clean in here and seems well kept up!
google avatar

Yelp
I do like this place, it is very clean and the washers offer a sanitation cycle of 2 mins. I took one star off for the wash and fold service it did not seem worth it at all. Some of my sock did not even seem like they washed it. On top of that I dropped off two separate orders and at the end they mixed both orders together.

Yelp
NOTE: The coffeeshop (at the corner of Mission) is closed and boarded up, but the laundromat portion around to the side on 20th is going, marked only by a "Laundry" sign above the door. Machines are like-new and super nice (Electrolux), at a variety of sizes from double ($5) to six-ish ($12), and directly take credit cards. There is a change machine onsite though I did not need to try it. And plenty of driers. Folding table runs the length of the 2-high drier wall. Unsure how well that works out if crowded, my sunday afternoon visit was super chill and the place mostly empty. Very nice experience.

Yelp
Hesitant to post this review because I don't want my new favorite local coffee shop to be crowded. I love how spacious and open the space is here, makes it a perfect place to catch up with a friend or bury your face behind a good book! They alsobaccommodate my weird latte requests with a hesitant look haha :D - which I love a latte! Not recommended because I need a seat on the weekend without fighting with you pls. Feel free to do your laundry though :P

Yelp
This cavernous place may just be too slickly indifferent to make it in this 'hood. The idea of combining a laundromat with a cafe is certainly not new. Brainwash had been doing it for quite a few years in SoMa before it recently folded its last sheet last year. This doesn't feel like a natural successor as its all-white interior doesn't just refer to the decor if you know what I mean. For instance, you won't see much crossover with customers patronizing Cafe La Taza down the block. There's a small food menu of breakfast items, baguette sandwiches, and a Buddha bowl, but I've come here for their not-coffee drinks which were nicely executed. On my first visit, I tried my very first $4.50 Beetroot Latte, not too sweet despite its pink hue (photo: http://bit.ly/2Rp2d7w). My recent visit saw the $5 Matcha Latte which I liked despite the hesitancy in the foam design on top (photo: http://bit.ly/2BHbWRu). Neither time did I see much interest from the staff to be friendly. Guess they just wanna chill with their bros. DRINKS - 4 stars...creative non-coffee drinks worth sipping AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...sleek and spacious and not feeling the vibrancy of the Mission in here SERVICE - 2 stars...hey dude TOTAL - 3 stars...if I was a hipster laptopper with dirty clothes, I'd be happier here RELATED - Looking for possible dining options in the Mission? Yelp
WE LOVE LAUNDRE!! Great location on 20th just off Mission. Super clean inside and out and beautifully maintained washers and dryers and plenty of trolleys. They have large load machines for $10 that cover for solid loads and 6 minutes for $0.25 dryers (MAY 2022 PRICES) most machines take coin or card. GREAT STAFF BOTH TIMES WE'VE BEEN HERE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Yelp
We had a really nice coffee break here on a Sunday afternoon. There were a lot of people sitting in Laundre, but there was no line at the register. We got a couple seats together (surprisingly) on the sofa and hung out with our baby for a bit (we were the only ones not on our laptops). Shout-out to the guy at the register - I had trouble deciding between the Horchata Cinnamon Cookie that was in the display and the tempting fresh baked Chocolate Chip Cookie that was just about to come out of the oven. I went with the former, but later the guy gave us a free (and fresh!) Chocolate Chip Cookie anyway. Thank you! * Horchata cinnamon cookie - 4 stars Super soft! Horchata flavor was really subtle, a little overpowered by cinnamon. * Fresh baked chocolate chip cookie, free Very soft! Staff gave to us for free, fresh baked. * Beetroot latte - 4 stars Nicely done, thick & foamy. Flavor has a kick of spice at the end of each sip. * Cappuccino - 4 stars Tried a sip, good texture and flavor!

Yelp
I love this hidden gem! I've never done laundry here (it's a tad bit far bringing dirty clothes from East Bay), but Laundré is great to get some work done. Surprisingly, there is always a lot of empty seats by outlets (+ reliable WiFi and xfinity hot spots). The amount of natural light is good for both reading and doing work on your laptop. What I usually get: Vanilla cold brew: sometimes it's a bit too sweet but strong enough to wake me up. 4/5 Turmeric latte: a rare treat even for SF! 5/5 Cute pastries: I like their small donuts (+ they are vegan) I tried banana bread the last time I came here, but it seemed a little stale for my taste.

Yelp
Finally. Someone who does laundry right! We live in an old building where the washer is small and it takes at least two times for anything to dry in the dryer. Woes of San Francisco outer mission living! This place is god sent. Fast machines. Sanitation 1-minute cycle between loads. Different available load sizes. Can swipe credit card directly for the machine. Complementary washing power. Good music. Super friendly staff to help you on anything you need. AND spacious adjacent cafe to hang out and chill. This is what I call stringing together the right consumer experience. Fantastic concept and execution. Hope that they will stay successful. The pricing is probably more premium than other. $4.50 for double load size. But worth the premium. For the cafe, the pastry is so so (I ordered the chocolate croissant and it was not great). The avocado toast was lackluster. Stick with coffee and tea rather than the food items here. Good tea selection and spacious place with good music and vibes

Yelp
What an amazing idea for a business, a self-serve laundry and upscale coffee shop in one place. Hang out, do work, meet with friends while your laundry is being done!! The place is airy, bright and very comfortable and modern. We ordered the iced latte, iced hibiscus mint tea and the avocado toast. The hibiscus tea was very refreshing and great, zero calories and a lot of flavor. The avocado toast was great, a toast with beets hummus topped with fresh ripe avocados and chickpeas. What a great combination?!! The sofas are so comfortable to lounge on while hanging out in this beautiful place. Would never have thought of this idea Well done guys

Yelp
Wow, what a hit and a miss!! I almost went elsewhere when I saw it was laundry and a cafe, but figured with great YELP reviews I'd give it a shot. Probably great if you want to do laundry and get a coffee. Clean, nice, modern interior. Stay away from the food!!! I would rather take the Tide Pods! I love avacado toast, how can you mess that up?! Well, I'll tell you how. You put a spread of bitter and off tasting beert mush on toast, put on some slices of avacado, top it off with butter and weirdly mushy garbanzo beans and and garnish with a bit of chopped parsley to bring the weird and off tasting breakfast. Ugh! Sorry to others around, I don't think anyone noticed as we are on Mission Street, but I was making the king of all icky faces during my 2 nibbles. Lovely, I told the sales person "I really did not care for this", you can see the after pic. Her response was "Yea, I know...it is kinda hit or miss". Well, how about changing it to something that is a hit?? Maybe I'm a slow learner...but I got up early and needed something to go down with the coffee. The coffee cake LOOKED good, but was terrible! How do you make a coffee cake that is moist- kinda mushy, yet grainey and hard to swallow at the same time? This too just tasted off! More icky faces from me!! Oh yeah! I forgot, I put a protein bar in my back before the gym this morning! I finally got something good to eat! Oh, yeah, the coffee is really good. I would definately recommend the coffee! A great oily and rich tasting, great just black like I like it.

Yelp
Super sleek and modern coffee shop! Everything feels very clean and white and A E S T H E T I C S. A perfect place to chill while waiting for your clothes to wash and dry, if you're also using their laundromat. I got the latte, and it was up to par, v good. No complaints. Not a lot of outlets, so come charged. They do have free WiFi.
google avatar

Megha T.

Yelp
Great cafe to work! The interior is incredibly large, something you wouldn't expect by just looking at the storefront. There is ample bar seating, in addition to couch and armchair seating. The WiFi here only lasts for two hours per purchase but it's super fast. There are also lots of outlets. Prices are on par with most SF coffee shops - so drip coffee starting at $3.50, most lattes and mochas at $4.50-5.50. They also offer wellness lattes, teas, and spritzers. During my time here, I ordered a cup of drip coffee and an oat milk latte. Both were pretty strong, since they use Sightglass coffee here. As for service, baristas are nice and any dishes and mugs are expected to be bussed by yourself. Will definitely be returning to study and work again when I'm in the city!
google avatar

Lara T.

Yelp
After seeing lots of pictures of people in laundry baskets in front of washers, my friend and I were super curious to see what this cafe was about. There was lots of natural lighting, open areas, and a relatively good number of chairs and tables and we enjoyed our time studying here. Food: Beetroot Latte--$4.50 This latte was very pretty in color as it was a light pink! The flavor was subtle but I could taste a hint of beetroot and some raspberry. The foamed milked was light and creamy. Tips: - To access the WiFi, connect to @LaundreWifi and open up a new browser. It will prompt you to enter your name, email, and order code. You can find the order code at the bottom of the digital receipt of your drink or food purchase at the cafe, usually sent directly to your email. The code is the four characters following the hashtag sign. If you are having trouble, just go up to the front and they will be happy to help.

Yelp
It's not often that you look forward to trying a new laundromat because you're pretty sure it will be a new Experience, with a capital E. This place was certainly that. I've never seen a laundromat quite this hop before. It's a legit, hipster, Sightglass Coffee-serving, big comfy chairs, concrete floor, art-adorned minimalist wonderland - that also happens to have the world's greatest laundromat set up in the back. I've never seen these machines before. They aren't the standard frustration-inducing white washers and dryers, these are like something from the future. They are super fast, quiet, easy on the clothes, and just in general a pleasure to use. Wow, wow, wow. You can pay with credit/debit card - no stupid rechargeable card or quarters required!! Just swipe and you're good to go. Prices at the current time (Oct 2018): Washing: 60 lb (6 loads) $10.75 45 lb (4 loads) $8.75 30lb (3 loads) $6.75 18lb (2 loads) $5.25 Time: All cycles under 30 mins. Prices are for a warm wash (-25c for a cold wash). Drying: 25c per every 6 mins A large load of washing took around 18 mins to dry. I think that's a new record!! It looks like they also have a wash and fold service. WiFi Network: washme WiFi password: laundry101 So much space to fold your clothes, places to sit down and wait - and decent wifi that works! Dammit I love this spot!

Yelp
I was walking through Mission the other day when I came across this place. I'd heard about it and thought the concept (a laundromat cafe!!) was intriguing, and I really wanted to go!! I'm a sucker for cutesy hipster vibin coffee shops, and this place sounded like my jam. It was like 8 PM and I had just downed a Dandelion mocha from Ritual a few blocks down, but Y O L O my body is basically immune to caffeine so I went ahead and walked in to order a drink WOOOOOOO It took a hot second to get the barista's attention (because he was on his phone and couldn't really be bothered to look up), but once I did, our interaction: "Hi!! Do you guys still have oat milk?" (there's been a nationwide shortage for months so it's a valid question) "Yeah?" "Is it Oatly?" (IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. I refuse to pay extra for milk substitutes that do not taste good, and in my opinion, Oatly is the one that's worth forking over extra money for. And I refuse to pay for oat milk that isn't Oatly in good conscience because every other brand I've tried has tasted kinda meh. Self-proclaimed cow juice alternative and oat milk connoisseur heh I TAKE THIS VERY SERIOUSLY) "...*gives me a look* ummm yeah??" "Ok! Can I get an iced lavender latte with oat milk?" "Uh sure" I paid for my drink and sat down. I saw him pull out a carton of oat milk that...was not Oatly.......what was I to do? I didn't have the energy to get all up in his face about the fact that seconds ago he had told me it was OATLY and not this other brand I really did not like. I took my drink, thanked him, and walked out :( I was looking for a study spot in the area and went back the next day. I opted for the passion fruit sparkler. Way too pricy for sparkling water mixed with what tasted like Torani passion fruit syrup... Bottom line: I'm not sure if I'll be back. But I guess at least now I can say that I've crossed this place off my list??????? I guess it's cute. It's nice in that it's a huge, open workspace and doesn't feel too cluttered. The wifi password comes on the receipt, so be sure to get your receipt printed or sent to you. There are so many other coffee shops in the area, and you can most definitely find better service and vibes and drinks elsewhere (note: the bathroom water faucet an get REALLY hot I think I legit burned my hand on it because I had no idea how hot it could get and put it on max as soon as I turned it on)

Yelp
I think this place is a hidden gem very little people know about. As a person who loves working in coffee shops, this place has everything I need - good drinks (and oat milk!), good food, outlets, wifi, and even laundry machines (seriously). And the best part is, it's never crowded! Highly recommend for those work-from-home days or read-a-book kind of days when you want to people watch while sipping a cup of coffee while staying away from crowds at the same time.
google avatar

Yelp
What a neat/smart concept! They need some in the East Bay1 There were times in the past when I wanted to wash my clothes at the laundromat and I was just sitting in my car trying to study while waiting for my laundry. With more laundromats like Laundre, I could had conveniently washed my clothes and bought a latte and studied there efficiently for a couple of hours instead of wasting time. Even if you're not doing your laundry, Laundre was a chill spot to study or read or even hang out with your friends just think of a more hip Starbucks.I really enjoyed the matcha latte and the latte art was nice, very Instagram worthy (the whole place was just Instagram worthy).

Yelp
Came to Laundré while visiting from New York to drop off a wash and fold order (even though not in neighborhood I was staying the reviews were too good,)....place was SUPER clean and the employee helping me (maybe the owner?) was helpful in answering all my questions. Look and vibe was super modern with nice touch in retro neon sign. Love how they use eco-friendly detergent and clothes came back perfect! Would HIGHLY recommend. Full disclosure...I normally loathe taking clothes to wash and fold as they never smell good...at laundré it was as good as if I had washed myself and clothes were folded WAY better

Stephanie Joyce D.

Yelp
A few reasons why I stay with my boyfriend: -Excellent, locally-roasted coffee is walkable -In-unit washer/dryer -Fast internet (webpass ftw) And then I walked into Laundré... Could it finally be time to leave him? I have to rave about this place as a coffee shop: 1) As someone who gets most of my productivity done at night, it is a godsend that this place is open until 10PM. There are a few cafes that are open late-ish, but none that serve coffee that I love (or would actually drink). Which leads me to my next point... 2) They serve SIGHTGLASS COFFEE. I'm the textbook example of how much money you could save if you skipped buying coffee. I drink "designer coffee" every damn day. Some days I wake up feeling like Philz, sometimes Four Barrel, sometimes Sightglass, sometimes Blue Bottle... But when I need another pick me up in the evening (yes I said evening not afternoon), I'm pretty much screwed out of choices after 7pm. I just want to sit and work for hours while enjoying a delicious latte. Is that too much to ask? Alas, Laundre is the answer to my prayers! 3) It drives me INSANE that all of my favorite roasters (see above and annex Ritual) do not have wi-fi whatsoever. And it's overkill when they don't even have outlets! Obviously these coffee shops nowadays don't want customers lingering for too long, and it truly is a thorn in my side. But because Laundre is a laundromat, they provide you with all the "you're going to be here for awhile" essentials. Nice is just the fact that they have free wi-fi, but SAINTLY is that it's pretty fast compared to other public wi-fi networks. I was getting 40+ mbps, which is too kind lol. Not sure if the owner watches Shameless on Showtime because in the later seasons the main character buys a laundromat and turns it into a happening spot with happy hours. Feels inspired. Nevertheless, I really like hanging out here and highly recommend it to anyone else who needs to be somewhere mood-setting to get some serious shit done.

Hate to do laundry and this spot makes it a breeze. Great service and really clean. High quality machines too!

Yelp
I visited here right after Thanksgiving - I just moved to the city and needed to find a good laundromat. With COVID, I was nervous to be indoors and in close quarters doing my laundry, but all my fears were quelled when I arrived at Laundre! There was a small amount of people when I went on a Sunday afternoon (there's a 10 person limit) and there were plenty of machines available. A man had entered before me with no mask on, but he was asked to please put a mask on by the staff. He came back in with a mask on (PHEW) so it was nice to see that the staff do enforce the guidelines. All the machines were new and cleaned my clothes so well! They were also pretty fast - I was in an out within an hour and was able to wash a full hamper of clothes, 3 dog beds, a set of towels + bed sheets. Parking is not too bad here, all things considered. I was able to park around the corner and it was free. They have a few spots available right out front if you keep an eye on it, and you could swoop in like I did :) Pro-tip, bring a cart with you to lug your stuff back and forth, also can serve as extra seating if you want to wait for your laundry indoors Also this place is so clean - all the machines were very clean and well maintained. The machines take credit card. I'd recommend getting coins for the dryers though, at a certain point my card stopped accepting it since there were so many repeat charges :) I'll definitely be back!

Wesley K.

Yelp
The drinks and food are really mediocre to be honest. What really makes this place stand out would definitely be the outlets and wifi. Without either of those things, the place would be empty. I ordered the cold brew ($5) with the intention that it would be weak and I was correct. Great place to get work done and make calls.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Great café to spend the morning or afternoon gettin work done. Came here with a friend on a Saturday morning and was welcomed by their friendly staff and bright interiors. I ordered their beetroot latte which was a perfectly earthy delight. Outlets aplenty here for you to camp out an get work done! Not sure how much their laundry is... maybe I'll find out next time.

Yelp
This laundromat is my saving grace! Reasons why: 1. They accept debit/credit card 2. Free soap 3. Nice staff to help you 4. I don't even know what brand these washer n' dryers are but they are efficient. FAST! 5. Connected to a minimalist dream coffee spot 6. They have cookies. 7. Bring your laptop and you can do work AND laundry. That's some serious adulting right there.

Yelp
= LAUNDRY AND CAFE [Warning: Young adults from Central Florida in for vacation] I like working from great coffee shops, and we needed to do our laundry... BOOM! Laundre answered my cry for both. FIRST, THE LAUNDRY Located in the very back of the cafe (and with its own entrance) I'm less in love with the laundromat than the coffee shop. During our visit, there wasn't anyone manning the side door, so anyone from the street could easily enter and steal stuff- remember, Mission Street is getting better, but it's not 100% there yet. On the plus side, the washers/dryers here are pricier than other laundromats, but you also get free detergent, AND a great place to relax. The wifi reaches here, so we folded our laundry while watching Netflix from my laptop. If only that side door was locked... NOW, THE COFFEE AND GOODIES The cafe is huge! There's plenty of seating along the wall counters and around the central 'bar' and still more empty space to add more tables if/when they feel like it. And plenty of sockets! Score! I didn't catch where they sourced their coffee, but my Mocha Macchiato (served as a true, tiny size) and Hub's Cold Brew were great. We added in a Lavender Donut to balance it all out. True to San Fran, prices were higher than I'm used to, but it was still a great shop to do some work while waiting for our laundry to finish.

Yelp
Only laundry mat in SF that's demanded a positive review Hesitant in writing this as I'd rather keep the low-key, hidden treasure (hipster lol) vibe but,.... Positives: - Competitive prices - Hospitable staff - Complimentary emergency detergent - Wash and fold service on site - Streamlined interior design - Machine accepts all major credit cards - Modern machines - FREE WEDNESDAY DRYING Negatives: - Would have to walk down the street to buy laundry soap or dryer sheets Neutral: - Occasional "Earthquake drill" when one of the washing machines goes to spin cycle
google avatar

Daniel F.

Yelp
Now...let's be real here. I go to Laundré not because I want go solely for a latte to upgrade my nonexistent hipster points but because of the space. THE SPACE!! *heart eyes* This huge clean space with so many bar seats is perfect if you got a lot of work to do on your laptops. This is one of the better spots to go and be productive by yourself or with another friend. Also, whoever is in charge of the music there, please give them a raise because I've used Shazam there more times than I can remember in recent memory. The lattes does a decent job of making sure you're not a high tech loiterer. It's not the best but it's not the worst either. Sometimes the temperature is hit or miss but I'm not trippin over it as much as I know some would. I can also appreciate that they have works of local talent hanging on a wall there while connected to a laundromat the community uses. This is the kind of coexistence I would rather see between long time residents and new transplants and this unorthodox combination of a cafe/laundromat seems to be working so far, in my opinion as a resident of 20 years. It wouldn't hurt if the drinks were improved but with a place as calming as this, I'm not too concerned over it. You're here to relax or be productive, not to be a stressed latte connoisseur on Instagram! (Okay, this place is clean and photogenic too. Take your latte pics & you do you fam!)

I've been back here plenty of times and still love every experience. The place is just so clean and easy to navigate, I can't ask for anything more. Honestly the convenience of not having to go to the bank to get quarters is so great that I will probably continue to walk the extra couple blocks to get here to do my laundry.

Yelp
It's very clean and I like that you can pay with credit cards or coins, but the staff is not friendly at all. It's very clear they don't like to be there until their actual closing time too so don't go in the evenings!

Yelp
FYI - this place is not closed, only the cafe is no longer here. I really wanted to like this place - it's a small business & cute idea & whoever is running the Instagram does a great job - but it's not the same irl as it seems on Instagram or how it was when there was a cafe. I also went through alllll of their Instagram stories so that I was aware of how everything worked & was what offered but...didn't really work out that way. It's nicer in comparison to a normal laundromat, but only in aesthetics. There are also different sizes of washing machines, which also have a sanitizing setting to clean the machine before you use it. Some issues: - They advertise free soap, but you have to ask the "laundry whiz" at the front who is either never there (cuz they're outside) or essentially shames you for asking for it. You can ask for the $20 dryer balls...but you won't receive them because they'll ignore you. You can ask to purchase the vinegar but they'll look at you like you're crazy. - There are posted signs that mention the "laundry whiz" can remove your items from the machine after 5 mins of them being done...but in reality you'll probably get yelled at if you're in the building after it has been done for 1 minute. Despite having these signs, the "laundry whiz" lets people crowd around you and stand on top of you in order to be next for the machine you're currently using. - Everything about the dryer is confusing. It's 25 cents per 5 mins, but it doesn't tell you how much time you have per amount of $ you put in. Example: if you put in 5 quarters, it doesn't tell you anything about the amount of time until you hit start. Also, if you put in 1 quarter and hit start, you can't adjust the time or open the machine until it's over. If you use a card, you need to continuously swipe per ever quarter amount...because if you click the UP arrows to add time, nothing happens. - The pricing isn't competitive at all in comparison to other laundromats. The only benefit here is that you can easily swipe your card. - The machines don't actually seem to be cleaned properly. Regardless of using the sanitizing setting before using the machine, there are fingerprints all over the front of them & many smell like cigarettes. (I used 5) - The floor and the building never stops shaking. I've never been to a laundromat before that shakes SO much. It's as if you're in a constant earthquake..so I feel sorry for anyone who gets motion sick who comes here.

Yelp
Nothing special. I wish I knew it in its original iteration when it opened as a cafe/laundromat. Now it's just your average laundromat. Granted, the washer sanitizing and the credit card option are a nice touch that you don't see most places -- but otherwise it's pretty much like any other place.

Yelp
This is still a legit laundry - clean, great machines, free soap - but be aware the cafe and cafe seating are all gone as of August. I put in all my laundry, went to walk that way and POOF! Gone! I'm extremely disappointed; I'd been planning to use this spot for weekly work "from home" and laundry day, and their coffee was legit. That said, I'll probably keep going till someone else is pleasantly foolish enough to open a laundry/ cafe in SF. (RIP Brainwash. RIP Laundre Cafe.)

Yelp
I want to say this place is terrible, don't come here but I would be lying out of selfishness. This place is a great place to work/study. It has an open, relaxing atmosphere in the cafe part. It is simple and seems clean. It has WiFi and clean bathrooms. They play music so maybe not the best place if you need to make calls but it's been good background music for working so far. I've done one large load of laundry here for $8 in the large machine. They have smaller machines for $4.50 or $6 (maybe other prices, I didn't check all of them). They provide detergent for free. Dryers are $.25 per 6 minutes. The laundry area is also clean spacious.

Yelp
Got wayyyyyyy behind on laundry due to coin shortage (machines in my building still use quarters). Finally sucked it up and took it to Laundre on Divis for wash and fold service. Could not be happier - immaculately clean and modern facilities. Even cool music playing. Professional and helpful staff. Everything is tech enabled - the sign up, the notifications via text, and ability to use credit/debit cards for the machines (if doing your own). Laundry done on time and beautifully folded and packaged for pickup. I will DEF go back just to do my own laundry since they advertise their machines do a full wash and dry in 45 mins (half the time of the ones in my building). I may never wash my clothes at home again. Thank you Laundre for revolutionizing my laundromat experience!

Yelp
Ever since the coffee shop shut down this place went straight down hill. New hours clearly stated 7am-11pm daily... it's currently 7:30am and I've been here waiting for someone to show up to work because they slept in?

Yelp
Today is 09/16/2018 Honestly Best laundry spot of all time. It is clean , the big washing machines are $10.00 with cold water mode warm water is $10.25 and Hot water is $10.50 . Also it has an option for FREE TO SANITIZE THE WASHING MACHINE IN ADVANCE!!! You can pay with credit card or coins. There is a café as well, you can have free coffee on Wednesday if you are washing! Powder detergent for FREE as well if you are washing here. The prices for drying machine is 25¢ for 6minutes!! Can I just say my favorite all time for more than 19 years barbecue spot is right across the street it's PETE'S BAR-B-QUE . You can buy it buy your the plate or just request ex: $5.00 of ribs or chicken. Awesome Mac and cheese What alas can I say

Yelp
The machines over charge when using the card. Check your bank balances. I noticed that when I use my card on the machines, they over charge my by .50-1.50. And the dryer machine over charged by $4 dollars. What's supposed to be $1 worth of drying time cost me $5. This has happened consistently and over several times. I've informed the "laundromat wizards" they all shrugged and said they didn't know or there was a language barrier as some of the laundromat workers aren't adept at English(no fault of their own). It's annoying that I have attempted to communicate or contact management and haven't ever been able to. It's illegal to overcharge customers and this is blatant theft.

Yelp
I think they took away free drying Wednesday's? I dried like four loads and didn't see the transactions until they were posted... And prices of washers seem to slowly creep up over time which makes me sad :+(

Yelp
Laundre started off as being a nice, new, clean place to do laundry. Over the past few months service has declined. On Wednesday's they'd do free wash but the last 4 times I went I could not find anyone to start the washers so I just paid. Annoying but not a HuGe deal. Tonight I roll up to do laundry and they are closing. Last wash during next few weeks is at 6 pm??? So basically if you have a job you can't do your laundry here. So I'm off to find a new laundromat after doing laundry here every week for over a year. Bummer :/

Yelp
This place is just okay. I've been to the cafe twice and found the offerings to be mediocre at best. My first time, I ordered the lavender latte which I found to be too sweet and a slice of banana nut bread which was terribly dry and stale. The second time I ordered a regular latte with low fat milk. I was dismayed to discover that they DON'T have anything except whole fat milk. Seriously? I would have been happy with fat free or reduced fat milk. What coffee shop doesn't have a variety of milks? As a result, I went for a latte with almond milk and was upcharged an extra 50 cents making my latte $5. I dropped off my laundry and was promised by the staff member that I would receive a phone call early the next day notifying me that my laundry was ready for pick up. I waited ALL day and nothing. No phone call. Finally after 8pm, I called them twice and no one answered. I ultimately resorted to sending them an email and eventually received a response back stating that my laundry had been ready since that morning for pickup. The laundry wash and fold services are a lot more expensive than the typical laundromat offerings in the Mission yet the communication and quality of the service is much LESS. I would rather go to Mr Burbujas where the machines are clean and the wash and fold staff are friendly, do a great job and are terrific communicators.

Yelp
This is how doing laundry always should've been. The first time here may be a little stressful because you're still figuring out where all the things are, how the machine works, and where to put your stuff. But after you get the hang of it, doing laundry at Laundré is such a stress-free experience that - yes - I even look forward to it. Why I'm not completely cray cray that I love coming to Laundré: - fast, clean, good quality machines - washers with different load quantities ($4.5, $6, $8) and heat settings (cold, warm, hot) - the most spacious and highly efficient dryers I've ever used. my clothes were dry within 20 minutes whereas it would take a normal dryer 40+ mins. (~$1 for 18 mins I think) - credit cards accepted - free powdered laundry detergent. they're in cute little buckets you may have to find on top of other washers. - free, fast wifi - outlets - plenty of seating in a well-lit, open space; there's bar stools, couches, and benches - bathrooms I got a $5 dirty chai that was free with the FiveStars app (download the FiveStars app and get $5 off your first visit). Not bad, but I wouldn't get it again. They have the basic coffee/non-coffee drinks + some unique ones like lavender latte. To my surprise, I honestly don't even think the laundry is overpriced given its convenience and quality. Man, what a great way to spend an afternoon.

Yelp
UGH yes thank you lord! Best coffeeshop on this side of the Mississippi River! The drip coffee is mediocre and I would not recommend even to my enemies. I come here mostly to medicate myself with their vanilla cold brew. SO STRONG but SO needed you know. This is the PERFECT place for a casual business meeting spot, first date spot (I've heard a many of these here in my day), study spot, frantically-applying-to-jobs spot, whatever you need, Laundre will serve you. This is the kind of coffeeshop that I would move to the Mission for. They also have good laundry services so I've heard.. I wouldn't know. Seems cool and hipster though. Lots of light, seats and outlets! What more could you need other than overpriced avocado toasts and bagels? Would so recommend... worth the trek across the city! LOVE.

Yelp
This was a really cute spot to grab some coffee while checking email/doing work. You can even run a load of laundry if you want! There's a fair amount of seating available and lots of great restaurants nearby.

Yelp
Clean laundromat, was pretty empty when I went. Free soap is nice, wash and dry not any cheaper than the other places around.

Yelp
This is ridiculous most of the people can only do laundry in the evening,I came to do my laundry like always around 6:45-7pm and the cashier at the cafe told us it was already closed now all of the sodden they close at 6pm Not professional at all Loosing costumers slowly
