I've never dined here before; but I walk past here all the time and today's gorgeous weather compelled me to take a seat outside. I wasn't disappointed! There are many tempting light appetizers on the menu and mostly pizzas 🍕 but this evening I was definitely in the mood for a pasta dish so I chose the mushroom truffle oil ravioli with Alfredo sauce. I was still hungry after my plate of pasta so I ordered a cauliflower al forno...served with pine nuts, raisins and chilli 🌶 My original server hadn't mentioned that bread is an option so I'm glad I asked my second waitress if I could have a serving of bread because I thought it was a bit strange that bread was never mentioned. She smiled and let me know she'd bring a serving of bread to my table. It took a while but the sliced pieces of flat bread were homemade, warm, delicious and a cup of tomato 🍅 sauce is served along with it. I boxed up the remaining portions of my cauliflower and bread to go and enjoyed an artisinal chocolate 🍫 raspberry Gelato for dessert. I'll definitely return here soon to try their pizza next time. Service here is extremely friendly and I love the casual settings and tasty bites! This is a wonderful place to sit outside and people watch.

We had a craving for pizza close by, but really don’t like the Chicago deep dish style. The Pinsa (Roman Pizza) here has a wheat/soy/rice flour crust described as light & airy. It was really tasty. We will eat here again and recommend to others who visit the area. Yes, it was busy and the poor (nice) waiter was overworked, but we rate based on taste. Excellent!

We absolutely loved the food and the experience here, thank you! It's now our favorite spot in Chicago for pizza. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the food was delicious! We will definitely be going back, thanks again! The tiramisu isn't pictured but is also very delicious.

We were drawn in by the reviews and the fact we were looking for Italian nearby. Unfortunately it seems that too many items have disappointed. I'll start with the 'Wisconsin Cow Burrata'. Yes, they clearly indicated it wasn't imported, and it only cost $7, but you'd expect at least a hint of Burrata or Mozzarella flavor. Nope. It looked the part but was completely tasteless. The 'roasted beet' was a chore to eat. They forgot to bring us the beans appetizer but didn't forget to charge us for it (corrected). Good because judging by everything else it would have disappointed as well. The Pizza? It was 'okay'. I'm fortunate that my wife makes incredible Roma Pizza at home, same light airy high protein crust, but tastier. Tomato sauce was OK, Mushroom was OK, but again the cheese was tasteless. A Pizzeria needs to be more particular about its cheese to be honest. Service was slow, and we kept waiting forever for our check. Oh, and they brought the Pizza before the salad and appetizers. It's too bad because we live right across the street and really wanted to like it here. I suppose the reviews are high because there aren't enough of them. Unless they fix many things asap, this place will dip fast into a 3.x* territory.

I'm happy to say that L'Aventino makes me nearly forget the other 3 pizza places that occupied this same plot of land in as many years. The chef and team got it right! Solid pies (pinsa) with bubbly crust that adds dimension and a good range of choices. On day 2 after opening one could expect issues, but everything came out from the kitchen hot, well done, and most importantly delicious. This is one place that I will for sure need frequenting. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Amazing new little restaurant in the heart of Streeterville. The chef is American but lived in Rome for several years and learn how to cook the Italian and proper way. Staff is super nice and knowledgeable. We sat at the bar and the bar attender was Amazing. We were there just for a couple drinks but ended up getting a pizza because we saw a couple coming out and they looked so darn good. Try it, you will love it!

We ordered from l’Aventino after walking by and being quite enamored with the smell of fresh oven pizza. Their food was pretty good, especially pretty much every side we tried, like the polpette and the cavolette. The pinsas (Roman style oval pizzas) were fairly good, and the toppings flavorful, but the thick, somewhat tough dough wasn’t my all-time favorite. Definitely not bad though, and ordering g and the delivery experience was very good.

Delicious roman pizzas. Each pizza is around $15-16 and based on your appetite, you might wanna order 1.5-2 pizzas per person. They are light and flavorful and pair nicely with the wines. You may not need a reservation and should be fine just walking in.
