Food is always tasty 😋. I would suggest be prepared to wait or order and they'll call you. It's worth and it's really reasonable platters are less than a fast food meal and. Love this place one of me and my daughter faves 😍

This is the best in West. The way they throw down in that kitchen is unmatched. It's soul food that actually sticks to ya soul. I travels almost 60 miles just to get a platter. Yes it's worth the drive.

Man, I don’t know what people talking about that food was good and the people were that worked. they were nice and people say that they only give you a little bit which you supposed to get for seven dollars now I’m a big man that food satisfied me and I bought two plants one for my wife and one for me and we were satisfied and the food was off the chain

This place is very clean ! The restaurant is very professional and flexible with payment options and an onsite ATM ! While this place is not made for upscale dine in there are seating options ! I recommend this place as one for the top soul food restauranta in Philly ! Staff will greet you by name ! Food is always fresh cake is always sweet and fluffy and delicious! I give this place a 4 stars my fave is the chicken always crispy flavorful but not too salty Mac and cheese always cheesy and veggies always fresh. They also have healthy platters for 7$

I ordered on DoorDash. My fish was fried to perfection. The food is really good but the portions are small. You only get one piece of fish, and two small scoops of sides. I wish they had larger portions. But otherwise, the food is great!

I was referred by my neighbor the Austin family. The fried chicken was stupendous, and the macaroni and cheese did not disappoint! The pastas salad and meatballs were also great . I highly recommend recommend them for catering events, etc.

The food was delicious!!! My husband did advise that he was told the wait would be 15 min and it turned into 30-45 min. That’s the ONLY reason I took a Star. Mista also reports that the ambiance was pleasant (Christmas music) and the staff were friendly. The greens had an unusual sweet taste that was divine. The Mac was experienced and the fish…… I started to go in with my hot sauce but paused to taste the fish first. Baybeeeeee ~ it was soooo good, I almost didn’t want to use hot sauce at all. Nothing needed seasoning and nothing was overdone. Portions were adequate for $6 platter (many of us need to cut back anyway but I digress…. It gave me joy to have found this gem. My feedback would be ~ bake that Mac in the morning (so it’s fresh) and cook enough greens so that dropping fish, chicken or shrimp won’t take too long. Speed up the service and kill the game. God’s speed to you. Go support US mane…… ***Update…. I got to visit in person today and it was a whole vibe…. Lauren Hill then Tyrese playing. I did not wait longer than that. I've had the fish and chicken wing platter and both were delicious, fish and chicken fried nice and crispy. Lavish gives a nice amount food' I wish I lived nearby I would be there daily. The price was $6 a platter' Great deal on a good meal'

The fact that you can get food this good for prices this low is mind blowing, $6 platters. While waiting for my food, I've seen so many people with children rotating in and out of this location, I respect that Lavish 215 is serving the community and feeding families daily. The inside is tight and the wait is typical for soul food that's mostly made to order, but I don't mind. I'm already planning to return and bring more support to this location. I love it here.

So today I went and the food was not tasty at all the fish tasted like it was old .. or refried The juice though was great !! That's why I give a 2star

Hiiiiiiiii To The Wonderful World of Yelpers, Happy to be here and Happy to be heard. Let's get to it! I visited this business "a while ago" and the food was good. HOWEVER, the customer service kept me away for since 2019. So, I spoke to a family member who asked me to give them another chance (on the strength of the owner, Bob). It took some long convincing, but I agreed to try them once more. I was NOT disappointed this time! The Owner must've sat down the employees and had a talk with some (or fired them...IDK), because' it was a VERY different experience this time. It was a VIBE! I started this visit by ordering a tray of Seafood Salad. I figured, go hard or go home and I wasn't going home just yet (okay)! Anyways, I called the order in and the conversation was pleasant and they were able to prepare it within an hour with my short notice. I walked in and was greeted by the employee at the cash register. I was about to start dancing, because what a difference from last time!!!!! I paid for my order and was told my order would be done in a few minutes and I could have a seat. I sat down and others came in and before I knew it, my order was ready! I carried that Seafood Salad with Pride. I was happy they got it right! CUSTOMER SERVICE Then it was time to taste the Seafood Salad. I opened the lid on the tray and the seasoning hit me in the mouth! The presentation was great and can I say it was loaded with shrimp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I picked up my fork, slid it across the edge of the aluminum and my eyes lit up like the 4th of July. BANG! It hit my gut and the rest is history! My girlfriend was telling me about this restaurant but I told her " I'm not going to any restaurant before they open to stand in line" we kept talking and she kept driving ... to the restaurant. The restaurant opens at 12pm , we got in line at 11:55am, it was about 10 people in front of us . I was irritated but as a passenger what was I going to do. The line moved fairly quickly. When it was our turn to order that's when I saw the soul food platters were only $6. Whatttttttt . I order fried fish, greens and yams, a slice of strawberry cake and the tropical lemonade, EVERYTHING was fanfreakingtastic.

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment several times and each time was a delight. the customer service is always good , sometimes there is a wait but what do you expect when its good food, they have a system that works for them and I'm here for it. the food is always good never disappointed and I will continue to support this black own business.

Really really slow with food orders and just in general. The food is okay, nothing to get to excited about. Not really worth the wait at all. It is affordable but the portions are small so you get what you pay for if you get my drift. One scoop of this, one scoop of that. Also they are often out of the specials advertised on the menu and they run out of food and sides as well. Cash only, keep that in mind. You can eat inside if they straighten up the inside seating a bit. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired

Came across this place recently. Great experience so far I have only been about 2-3 times. Most recently I grabbed 15 platters to feed the homeless. This place is great with their $5 platters every day. Can't beat that, you'd spend more buying the food cooking and cleaning the dishes. This place you can feed the whole family. The chicken wing platter was great. Fried perfectly seasoned to perfection. I could have sworn it was my grandmother back there cooking,The wings remind me of hers.

This was definitely a perfect find, it has so many great things going for it. This is a great little soul food gem... the food here is amazing and made to order. You have a bit of a wait so you can all ahead but it's worth the 20 min wait if not. They take your order and will take your number and call you when ready... we stopped across the street and got a hand car wash while we waited. We ordered fried fish, it was done to perfection. It came with two sides and a biscuit... I opted for Mac and cheese and yams... the portion size was perfect! Everything on the platter deserves its own recognition because everything was delicious. When I say the size is perfect, you can eat the entire platter not feel over stuffed but perfectly satisfied both with taste and amount... speaking of amount.... the cost for each platter was $5... yes you heard right... a $5 made to order soul food platter that was satisfying and delicious!! When I say this is a gem I mean it in more than one way... ahh and how could I forget they homemade juices... at the time I went there was watermelon lemonade & watermelon iced tea... both had a unique flavor and hit the spot... I will definitely be back soon to enjoy some more Lavish eats!

Five stars for this delicious soul food! If my order wasn't messed up so badly it would be five stars altogether, but all things considered whatever I received was absolutely delicious. My coworker made a run to Lavish with everyone's written order in hand. How everyone's order was so mixed up I really don't know. For instance, I clearly wrote down shrimp with greens and sweet potatoes. And received fish with sweet potatoes and macaroni and cheese. But thankfully it was still great! And for $5?! Definitely can't beat it. The fish I got was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Sweet potatoes were the truth and definitely my favorite part of the meal. Even though I didn't order the macaroni and cheese, nor did I particularly want it, it was good and not too dense. Lavish has great food and with a little more attention to detail will be a five star establishment for sure.

How is it that at 4:30pm on a Tuesday that you're out of food? The website said "no phone" orders and when I called before heading over just to make sure they were open etc, no one answered.

Upon arrival I found that the long line which was outside the door was at least an 45 to 1 hour wait just to order. After waiting an hour I finally made it inside this place has to wait another 39 mins just to order. After ordering they tell you to wait outside they will call your name. 1 hour and 15 mins later I got my order. Once I got back to Jorsey and open my platter I found that the 5 chicken wings which JL Jupiter boasted about, it turned out to only be 3 wings and the sides where okay an good but after all that waiting it was not worth the time and travel. The Staff were not wearing masks but requirers all customers to wear masks. OMG

I found this place from one of my foodie friend who has been raving about this place. It is true the platters are 5 dollars! I order the chicken wing platter with Mac the yams and the fried fish platter with macs and green. The fish was fried well I think the batter was a bit too thick, mac and cheese was cooked well, greens could have used some turkey juice or some more seasoning it was okay at most. I would go with the chicken platter, granted I was kinda confused single wing dings vs actually chicken wings that is on their IG! The wings were great, yams on point and Mac was well. I would also advise to try to hit up their special I came in for the Smokey turkey platter and it was Sold out, so people are more on the look out for the special than anything. I would come back to get a chicken platter and probably try a different platter as well.

Food was good.... Pretty good portions for $6 -the wait was very long on two separate occasions and you'll see people who ordered the same thing you did leave before you if you order more than one platter- and they flat out tell you that so only order one platter at a time- the vibe Is pretty good.... A family like atmosphere feels like a bbq

People was nice and friendly hood food for the price $5 platters . Food was fresh and clean just was overwhelmed with the massive orders yet they handled it well.

Terrible customer service that's all I have to say the only reason they continue to get business is because of the cheap platters

Great food! They always have some type of specials going on. Never a long wait time. Soul food is good with some homemade juices and desserts. Seafood options available also. Always call to find out the limited time specials.

I heard so many mixed reviews about this place but still was excited to give them a try. I called the number on their Instagram and was a bit taken aback by the rude staff member I had an encouragement with (which should've been a sign) they weren't willing to explain some of the menu options I had questions about; which surprised me because as a business trying to get its feet off the ground you should be willing to go beyond measures for any potential customer but I guess that's what you get when you hire just anybody it seems. I decided to hold off and come give this place a try on another day. Upon my arrival around 6pm I went to open the door and the lights were on, plenty of staff on in the inside but the doors were locked. Now obviously this means they were closed; but I do think it would've been appropriate for someone to come greet me at the door and let me know that as they all starred at me from the inside. I'm a bit disappointed because I definitely wanted to give this place a try as I live in the neighborhood and ride past it all the time but I can't say I feel welcomed to come back here so I'm definitely in no rush to return! May possibly update my review if I do come back (who knows)!

First and last time going there, I was super excited to enjoy some good soul food but it unfortunately did not reach my expectations. For starters the tables were dirty and it didn't even look like there was an effort to clean them. The food was less than mediocre to say the least. Tho if you are looking for some Mac and cheese this would be the only thing you should get from there.

the food at lavish is delicious its excellent soul food for your soul and the price for a platter is $5 i bought 4 platters fish , chicken parmigiana, fried chicken wings , baked salmon everything was finger licking delicious
