LAVO Nightclub

Came here with a promoter and bouncer was nice, coat check was good as well. The atmosphere was a lot of fun. The DJ that was there the night I went, played really great house music. There were amazing go go dancers every 20 minutes. My table was paid for. The bathrooms are nice as well. There is plenty of space for people to dance. The crowd is mostly young people as well. People dress pretty well. I am definitely going back on a different night. All in all, I had a really fun time.

This place ruined our NYE plan. Spent over $160 per person waiting in the rain for 2 hours and came to know the tickets were over sold and it already reached to max capacity. We couldn’t go in before midnight but celebrated new year with many people in the line outside of the club. Yes. We have been waiting to enter since last year. This place has really terrible event planing and service. We lost not only the money but a good NYE experience we should have had. Before you provide a service to customers, you should learn how to care about the customers first.

The place is beautiful, but the staff sucks. Security at the door was nice, but once inside the staff was rude. Lots of yelling for no reason and just ignorant. Instead of the staff speaking to you like you are a person they just yell. There are a lot of young people who clearly don't get out much so there was lots of pushing. It was a horrible experience the music was okay. The highlight of the night were the dancers. I would not go back.

Was hesitant before coming here seeing that it was below a 3 star rating on Google. And now I see why. After paying $340 just to enter for (NYE) Immediately I was met with a basement sized venue. Nothing impressive. The coat check was not complimentary unlike many other NY venues. After not being told it was cash only I was very rudely told I was a problem. The $344 package claimed open bar just to only serve bottom shelf limited options. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Where do I even begin? My two friends and I were excited for a fun night especially because the last time we went LAVO was just so amazing! However, this time when we were getting checked in, the bouncers were incredibly rude. One of my friends forgot where she put her ID but found it later in her pocket. Mistakes happen! The bouncers scanned mine and my other friend’s but when they saw that an ID suddenly appeared they found it sketchy and assumed we did something. Sure we did something within the two minutes after you checked our IDs. The bouncers found it sketchy and despite us having our IDs, we had to have it checked over again. There was definitely a better way to go about it from the bouncers, but no they were rude and nasty and called us obnoxious when we weren’t even the first ones to cause a problem. The manager wasn’t even there when it happened and he felt that he was disrespected. I’m sorry but you don’t have any sense of respect or common courtesy. Will not be going back. We spent 45 dollars each for this and they refused to let us in. You better believe we either get our money back or you let us in. Don’t recommend this place and that sucks because it WAS our favorite.

Overpaid for the party. We got 4 tickets for the New Year’s party which wasn’t cheap but they oversold the venue and it was packed like sardines. The ticket included an open bar but with so many people it was impossible to get a drink in time for the new year’s countdown. Many people that had tickets didn’t make it in. The DJ was mid at best as he played a lot of late 90s and early 2000s music leading up to the count down which wasn’t the vibe nor did it stir up excitement.

The bald headed white dude, who is boss of the bouncers, extremely rude. That sounds why they closing down in January. So not to worry everyone! I only went for a bday and was skeptical cuz all the reviews. Sadly, they were pretty true. Not all the bouncers are guilty but when the boss os the worst one…

Listen to the reviews, we got VIP service and itas horrible. 1) there were bouncers everywhere to the point I thought I was going through TSA or something, you can’t even move, you look left bouncer, you look right bouncer, you look up…bouncer. 2) they were so aggressive for no reason 3) Literally manhandled my friends and the women in our group for no reason. Terrible place. Wish I could give it 0 stars. My friend Miguel was with two beautiful women and the bouncer literally manhandled him like a little kid for no reason. It was so disrespectful.
