"Layla is a Middle Eastern restaurant in the back of the Kayak Miami Beach hotel. The best part of this place is the outdoor seating, which is a secluded little patio alongside a narrow canal. It’s quite charming, and a great place to have a few drinks and some mezze like hummus or labneh with pita bread. But that’s about as good as this place gets - the overpriced entrees aren’t worth your time. The falafel is $16, and it comes with just three falafels that have an unpleasantly dry, crumbly texture. The $28 shawarma grilled chicken is fine - but it’s just a plate of chopped up, under-seasoned chicken and nothing else. If you go deep into the menu, it’ll be hard to leave this place satisfied. But as long as you stick to mezze, salad, and cocktails, Layla is pretty enough to justify making a reservation." - Ryan Pfeffer

"Inside the first Kayak hotel concept, along the Collins canal, diners will find Layla and its modern Middle Eastern fare. Inspired by Layla & Majnun — the Middle Eastern Romeo and Juliet — this casual eatery serves hearty mezze portions as well as wholesome entrees of whole branzino, accompanied by caramelized fennel and zhug (a Yemenite version of chimichurri), and braised lamb, showered in demi-glace and sparkling with jewel-like pomegranates. From Thursday through Saturday, diners can enjoy the live DJ action at the rooftop over bites and Jenny’s Genie, a special cocktail poured from a genie lamp." - Juliana Accioly

This place has the best mediterranean food. The overall vibe was amazing, they had lovely live music on a Wednesday. It sits on the river so you get the most beautiful view, the rooftop is incredible. The service was top notch, our waiter was Max, he was extremely sweet and on top of everything. His recommendations were to die for! The manager was very hospitable, he brought us an extra piece of dessert for our friends birthday. Love this place, such a cute little date or girls night spot to checkout! Definitely recommend 10/10.

A literal hidden gem, tucked away on the canal in the back of the Kayak Hotel. The service was impeccable, as I kindly asked my waiter what his favorite dishes are and he expertly described the majority of the menu (bypassing that odd new qr ordering system) and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is tropical with iguanas walking around chilling on the patio. Definitely show up after 7p if you want to sit outside, the sun hits the patio something crazy. The food is delicious, and the portion sizes are fairly large so let your eyes be bigger than your tummy and take the rest home. Kudos, Layla.

One of the best places to eat in Miami. We were here for the weekend but ended up eating here twice one was a dinner and a lunch for the next day. Both meals were so delicious and we almost tempted go there again for our last meal if the weather was nicer. Services was good as well. The person who served us was very knowledgeable about the food and almost felt like he knew exactly what we wanted so when we ordered what he suggested ended up they were absolutely delicious. We definitely come back next time we’re in Miami so should you. And the restaurant is beautiful and a canal if you do get chance to sit outside.

Google
Amazing food and environment! The service was nice but not very patience with us. We were drinking and eating at our own pace sharing plates but I guess he didn’t like that. Besides that amazing place would definitely go back! The place has an amazing terrace and front lobby/bar!

As we checked in with our amazing host Alex at Kayak Miami Beach, we were welcomed by him and the LAYLA staff with celebratory drinks for recently getting married. It was so kind of them to make a fuss. It set the tone for the night and made us feel so comfortable❤️ Thank you ❤️ The plants, decor, seating, lighting and soothing music really set the mood for us to unwind. The staff were fabulous at their jobs, with great service the whole way through the night. Now the food… DELICIOUS, NOSTALGIC AND FLAVOURFUL. We picked the spice banquet for 2 for $45.00pp with service charge included of 20%. Great for first time guests. I told the server of my dairy allergies and he tried his best to accomodate me by putting the dairy to the side and was transparent with the ingredients in each dish. I highly appreciate that. We were so full and satisfied. We chose for the appetisers: kofte and the egg plant, for the main: lamb and chicken, and for dessert: hava white brownie and the date pudding. We would choose them all again. So delicious.

AMAZING FOOD EXPERIENCE! We stayed at Kayak Miami Beach for two nights and decided to have breakfast here on our first morning, it was SO GOOD that we had dinner on the same day. Both the brunch and dinner menus are exclusively created. The chef cooks exquisite Mediterranean/Middle Eastern dishes with his own touch. Expect to have some pomegranate bites with your muhammara and some cinnamon taste with your baklava. Bringing unusual with the usual and creating delicious on a different level! Lastly, we were served by the lovely elegant Dime, who made the whole dining experience ten times better with her smiley face and professionalism!

First off the host Preston has the best energy. We immediately felt welcomed in. He has all of the qualities of someone who is meant to be in hospitality!! The dining area and outside is absolutely stunning!! So many plants, water, and gorgeous lounging / seating options. We went for brunch and got the bottomless aperol spritz which is a great deal and they were perfectly boozy cocktails. For food we ordered the French toast, eggplant toast and lamb burger. All of which were to die for!! Great food! Great fast service! Enjoyed the music and the vibe

I was very surprised to see how long it took for this place to fill up with clients! The scenery is fantastic, the food is amazing, the only thing that could improve is the pricing. I went for the Valentine's Day dinner which was honestly a very diverse and very fulfilling meal. For a price of 75 per person, I thought it was reasonable. However, when factoring a 20% gratuity and a Miami tax, you're looking at an almost 100$ addition to your check which I thought was a bit excessive. Again, the food is very good, the staff were direct and amicable. The only thing barring me from being a return customer is affordability.

Yelp
One of the best FOOD experiences i had in a while (so that says a lot) . Everything was amazing, the decor was beautiful and they accommodated us even though we were 25 min late and getting ready to close. The building also has a rooftop bar where you can enjoy and party after being full. Highly recommend this for date night or group dinners

Yelp
This place is such a nice vibe, very chill and earthy. I had the two hearts drink which had vodka and it was light and delicious. For appetizers we had the Falafel, which was crispy on the outside and very delicate and creamy within the inside. Then we had the octopus, which is grilled and was tender, it's drizzled with a lemon and basil. The portions were okay, but taste exquisite. As an entree we tried the chicken kababs which we're grilled to perfection. Then the branzino was amazing, it was soft on the palate. It is served as a whole fish with the eyes and all, staring right at you. I don't really love eating a whole fish but this was the exception because it was mmmm mmm good! Then the salmon was alright, the sauces taste better than the actual fish. The dessert was amazing! Literally waters in your mouth. The Halva Blonde was a coffee flavored cake, it was the highlight of the night. Then the date bread pudding was delightful, you can really taste the pomegranate molasses. Unfortunately we were very excited for the desert, and forgot to take any pics of the dessert. Overall we had a great experience. Our server was very nice and welcoming. I do recommend checking this spot out.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check out Layla for dinner but ended up there today for brunch. We made a reservation for mid afternoon. It was quite empty so it was nice to sit and enjoy the restaurant decor. The indoor and outdoor is nicely decorated. Our server greeted us and we ordered two lattes ($6 each), the Layla breakfast (2 eggs, toast, tomato salad & za'atar potatoes-$13) and Challah French toast ($16). My review is closer to a 3.5 but a 3 doesn't feel just, so I've selected a 4 star. Our food arrived before our lattes which was a bit odd but still okay as we were able to enjoy them when the meal. We were sharing the two plates so they were kind enough to split it into two plates. The eggs were tasty, as was the little sourdough bread, and salad. The potatoes were underwhelming. They didn't have a roasted texture, and the seasoning was not za'atar. On the menu they list parsley home fries and za'atar roasted potatoes so I definitely think we were given the wrong potato side, as it's supposed to be roasted potatoes not home fries. I even called the server over and he said it was correct and offered me za'atar seasoning but I didn't take him up on it as I didn't want to just toss seasoning on the parsley potatoes. The French toast was very tasty, it was just a smaller portion than expected for the price. It was like one large slice of challah bread but the fruits, whipped cream, and pistachio crumble were nicely flavored. The coffees were okay. The espresso tasted burnt. They automatically charge a 20% gratuity which is fine as service was pretty good, but I think an 18% automatic would be more reasonable. The decor is really nice, there was room to work on cleanliness as the floors were quite dirty. The server was kind. There's definitely a lot of potential at Layla! I want to come back for dinner and be able to enjoy the lovely looking patio.

Yelp
Slow service Flavorless food Much much better options in Miami for Greek. Not sure what the hype is here.

Jackie W.

Yelp
I came here with a 2 friends and at the end of the night, we explained to our waiter how much to charge on each of our 3 credit cards as cash is not accepted. Obviously, the waiter could have written everything down with a pen and paper how much to charge each card among the 3 of us. He came back and told us that he charged whatever the way he wanted to divide it among the 3 credit cards and we should "sort out the bill amongst ourselves" to determine who owes which friend how much money. So ghetto. And he didn't want to refund the cards because "it would take too long and the manager is busy". Also you have to leave after 2 hours even if you are seated late. Poorly run business. Will never return

Yelp
While staying at the Kayak, I enjoyed dinner at sunset at Layla on the first floor. My waiter, Max, could not have been nicer. He recommended the mushroom medley and the Turkish meatballs. Add a bit of lavash. A glass of wine. Perfect. Max was right. Everything was delicious, served hot, and in beautiful platters. The decor was comfy and bohemian. Lots of wicker and plants. The bill was very reasonable. I totally enjoyed my experience. I wish I could come more often.

Reese G.

Yelp
Started this reservation off by being asked to wait for our table to be ready. Which was 45min after we arrived at our reservation time. Food was average and what you'd expect for Mediterranean food. The drinks were crisp and refreshing which saves some of this review. The hummus dishes are probably the best thing you can order. Everything else from the chicken to the falafel was dry and didn't have a good overall flavor. Save your money from this overpriced menu and go elsewhere.

Yelp
Wonderful wonderful dinner at Layla today. We had made reservations for canal side dining and we were seated at one of their outdoor couches and had a really relaxed evening. We ordered a mezze platter that came with Muhammara, hummus and babaganoush with pita bread, some cheese, olives and cauliflower. Everything was served family style and was so delicious! Also got the eggplant toast and herbed spicy potatoes. I got the Young Beauty which is a gin based drink with cucumber and pineapple. It wasn't too sweet and very refreshing. Service was very commendable. A great place for a relaxed evening with great food and just lounging.

Kristie L.

Yelp
We were staying at KAYAK so you know we had to visit Layla during our stay! After checking in, we hadn't eaten yet so we ate some quick bites before dinner. There was no one eating there at the time so we were able to choose the table we wanted. Both interior and exterior design were beautiful. As much as I wanted to dine outside, it was way too hot and I didn't want to get eaten up by mosquitoes! We all ordered some lattes to keep us energized for the rest of the night. I haven't had Mediterranean food too much so I left the ordering up to my friends. We started with the Babaganoush, which was delicious! Like our waiter said, even if you don't like eggplant, you will still like this dish. This was all very true! Shakshuka was to die for! It came in a little skillet, fresh out the oven, and it was sooo tasty! I definitely never had something like this before. Paired perfectly with the bread, we had to ask for more bread! Shawarma Chicken was also delicious! We were getting full but it was definitely an excellent ending to our snack meal! Ambiance is wonderful for friends or date night! We didn't get to try out their extended dinner menu but I will definitely be back to try it next time!

Yelp
It's always nice to find a diamond in the rough. Layla is a beautiful spot on Miami Beach. An upscale restaurant serving modern Mediterranean options. The "Devotion Potion" cocktail is a must try! You won't be disappointed spending your money here, absolutely worth it. Service was fantastic, five stars. Take plenty of pics and don't forget to tag the restaurant on social media. Have fun on the beach!

Yelp
I had a great experience on my first time at Layla! I went with 2 friends for happy hour/dinner and we sat outside, on the beautiful covered patio by the waterway. The ambiance is amazing, decor is beautiful and the playlist is good! Love the vibe. We ordered wine, then babaganoush, hummus, the grilled cauliflower, the falafel and the bread pudding for desert. Everything was delicious! It started raining a lot all of a sudden and even with the patio covered our table started getting wet. Our waiter was very attentive and moved us right away. He was always checking on us and making sure we were comfortable. The overal experience was great. Would definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
"I want my home to de decorated this way." "Isn't it already?" "Oh, yeah I guess." I clearly loved the ambiance and decor here and felt at home. Whether you dine inside or outside, you're in for a lovely experience. We were outside by the canal and it was gorgeous: Very Mediterranean with botanicals and earth tones. The menu here is very shareable if you'd like to try many dishes. We got half portions of labneh and babaganoush. You have a choice of baked pita (plain or with za'atar) or fried pita chips. I say go for the baked za'atar. We got the mushroom medley - delicious! The harissa tuna was also nice. I've never had tuna that way before. The falafel was skippable. It was overly seasoned and only three little falafel for $16. I recommend the baklava! What a treat. The service was extremely pleasant and attentive. I'd love to come back. Parking is an issue here... it's in a hotel, yet I don't recall seeing valet (I could've just missed it). The street parking is pricey.

Danielle W.

Yelp
I loved the vibes in here! The drinks were great, not too sweet like many other bars in the area. We got the mezze platter and chicken kabobs and that was PLENTY for two people. The platter seemed never ending! I loved the baba ganoush - super smokey! Service was excellent and attentive, our server even brought us samples of wine before we ordered a glass to make sure we'd like the ones we ordered. Beautiful place to take pics too!

Lindsey S.

Yelp
We found Layla through a Miami Tik toker so I was a little skeptical, but it did not disappoint! It was deserving of all the hype it received and if I find myself in Miami again, I will definitely be back! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful given the fact I did not know much about the menu.

Holly W.

Yelp
I would give this 5 stars and will tell you why later. Ate dinner at 7:15 on a Friday night. Wasn't crowded. The atmosphere is very hip, beautifully lit and decorated, with cool music (a little loud), and an outdoor patio area. The service is excellent. All staff highly efficient and super friendly. Ordered mezze plate of 3 appetizers, hummus, babaganoosh, and puréed pepper dip with fresh warm pita. Delish. Israeli salad next. Ordered braised lamb for husband and I had eggplant toast and a lovely cauliflower for my entrees. The problem was the the entrees were delivered way before we were even half way through our appetizers. Our small table was crammed with dishes and it made us feel like we had to hurry and eat our appetizers. All the food was outstanding. Portions generous. Very fresh. Took home some of the lamb and eggplant toast. So really one star subtracted for too fast service. We were finished in 45 minutes, including coffee! Really would have appreciated it more if had time to savor and digest each course. I don't think they were trying to rush us as they allowed plenty of time before bringing the check. I guess the chef just got ahead of himself. 20% tip was added to bill bringing it to $129 total.

Robyn P.

Yelp
Definitely a hidden gem in Miami. I passed by it twice before I actually found it, the outside sign is very discreet/subtle, it's inside of Hotel Kayak. The restaurant itself is beyond aesthetically pleasing, beautiful. Definitely one of the top spots in Miami to check out. The outdoor seating area is incredible, so much greenery and hanging lights. Came here with my aunt visiting in from Dallas, Texas. I was debating between a few different restaurants to take her to that were nearest to her hotel and on my Yelp to-go list, i'm glad I decided on this one, she was definitely wowed by Layla. It's quiet with ambient lighting, and not at all packed, we were able to sit indoor/outdoor and then scan the barcode on the table for the menu. Definitely a restaurant that I would come back to. Really enjoyed it here.

Rose P.

Yelp
We went to Layla for Miami Spice as a last minute dinner and we were so impressed! Each course was more delicious than the last and with our large group we were able to try everything on the menu. There was not a single dish that disappointed us! The highlight of the meal was the halva blondie, but the mushroom medley and branzino were also group favorites. The waiters were attentive and helpful without being overbearing and the space is gorgeous. This may be my new favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Miami!

Daniela R.

Yelp
It's my first time in the restaurant and I'm so pleasantly surprised. Ambiance: elegant but super chill. Food: wonderful ingredients quality, delicious flavors. We ordered the octopus, lamb, and eggplant toast. Everything delicious and good portions. Prices: super reasonable Service: the waiter Maximiliano super friendly, attentive, gave us great recommendation and we could notice he enjoys his work. Come!! The cortadito coffee is also delicious.

Greg A.

Yelp
This was a very unimpressive dining experience. The venue was cozy and intimate, however there was a party of about a dozen guests that took a majority of the waitstaff away from smaller groups resulting in lapses in service and simple requests left unfulfilled. Management could have used more employees. The food did not stand out with freshness, a vibrant menu, portion sizes nor flavor. For example the humus was average topped with whole over salted chic peas and mushroom medley was a greasy soggy mess that you would have better luck with flavor and texture if it came from a can. There are many choices for dining in the area and based on this experience I would try somewhere else next time.

Joe H.

Yelp
Delicious. They also have a rooftop dinning area only available on Friday and Saturday. We went on a Sunday and didn't get to sit on the roof. However, dinner was tasty. We ordered the octopus and toasted eggplant for starters. Then shared the branzino which was deboned well. Halva for desert. Really enjoyed the food. Portion sizes could be a little bigger but that might just be me. My wife didn't have any issues with the portions. Recommend and will most likely be back the next we are in town.

Sana T.

Yelp
Service was pretty scarce, the food was not that seasoned and the portion size was ridiculously tiny for that price. The vibe was good I guess

Dana K.

Yelp
Ambiance was great. Easy to reach location in Miami Beach (meaning parking is very close), food was very very good. Full of flavor. Service was absolutely horrible.

Marce R.

Yelp
My rating is solely for the site, it's nice and has a good vibe but overall it wasn't a good experience. We saw this place through this app and wanted to have brunch but it was a disaster. They changed our orders and then when asked what had happened, the waiter apologized saying that the menu had changed that same day and they had not been notified. We had already ordered a bottle of wine so they bought us to stay and enjoy the time. The waiter offered us a discount on the bill for all the inconvenience and it was never done at the time of payment; on the contrary, the service was just included in the check. I would not go back nor would I recommend it.

Ivonne P.

Yelp
Wonderful romantic getaway. Very pleasant atmosphere. Food was fresh and memorable. Repeat

Coleman C.

Yelp
I've been to Layla a few times. I think it's a great place for a date. We ordered espresso martinis and originally when they brought them out, it seemed like the just poured vodka on espresso. We sent them back and they got it right the second time. Drinks also took a very long time. We should have ordered their specialty cocktails because the drinks everyone else were drinking looked great. For food we ordered the octopus, the mezze, lamb shank, and the Branzino. The octopus and the mezze are must orders. The lamb was phenomenal. I believe that is their staple dish. When you go to Layla you should order the octopus, the mezze, and the lamb. The Branzino was good. Too salty, but not bad. The way it was plated and the roasted tomatoes and arugula really brought the dish together. I am not giving five stars because the pitas came out cold, the fries were not cooked perfectly, and the drinks took long to come out. The vibe and the flavors of the place are something you should try out. I am definitely coming back.

Neeve O.

Yelp
Loved it! Atmosphere is great, food is tasty & our server Jose was awesome. Super good experience, worth checking out!!!

Matt D.

Yelp
Layla was our ONE AND ONLY choice for dinner when we were in Miami Beach for a night. And it was a fantastic decision. First, the ambience is expertly themed and designed, a perfect mix of casual and intimate. Our wait staff were very attentive and kind. We never felt rushed. When it comes to food and drink, Layla does not disappoint. The cocktails were fantastic. And the food was very well done. I love Mediterranean and mostly eat vegan/vegetarian. It was nice to look at a menu and be able to order anything on it. I also felt like the menu doesn't try too hard -- it takes classics and makes them great. Take, for example, the dip trio. We were reluctant to pay that much for a plate of three pretty common Mediterranean dips. But I'm really glad we did because they were fantastic! My wife said it might have been her favorite of the things we ordered. We ordered a lot: the dip trio, the kale Caesar salad, harissa cauliflower, and roasted carrots. Everything was great. Our favorite was the kale salad and least favorite was the cauliflower (under-roasted). After dinner we were full and satisfied. We didn't think we wanted dessert but the waiter told us about their blondie halva, which we ordered AND I'm so glad we did. It was amazing! One of the best restaurant desserts I've ever had. This is a restaurant concept that works, and I hope more places adopt its approach.

Layla H.

Yelp
The food just melts down your mouth beautiful. The waiters and chefs make sure that you get your food in time. It's just so yummy I 100% recommend!!! Labneh is the best get that when you go!

Jocelyn D.

Yelp
Amazing food! Super staff! Beautiful restaurant! This place is a necessary spot to check out. Don't miss the harissa tuna, lamb and avocado chocolate mousse.

Jacob N.

Yelp
Lovely ambience and incredible variety of flavors. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. The outdoor seating books quickly so make sure to plan ahead with a reservation. If you are staying at the KAYAK hotel - look no further, Layla is a wonderful dinner spot!

Brian W.

Yelp
Loved this place when it first opened. I'm so sad it's turned into what it is - a disorganized, inconsistent experience. The food quality has gone way down as well - I most recently was there for brunch and they use powdered eggs. Ate there last night after visiting the rooftop and we couldn't waive down anyone to help us - despite nobody being there. Eventually we got our own water from the kitchen. Nobody even flinched when I went back there and filled up a water carafe. When the food arrived, it was stale and clearly sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I'm a local so have given this place more than enough tries. Sad how these restaurants here start out great then just go downhill.

Kia F.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant in the back of if I remember correctly KAYAK hotel. They have indoor and outdoor seating, I prefer the outside personally. Service is friendly and it is usually not very crowded which is great. I like the vibes more than the food but the food isn't bad or anything like that. Overall great place for group dining or a romantic date. Extra star for the positive atmosphere and great ambience.

Margarita B.

Yelp
Just stopped by this place again to give it another shot. The girl at the bar in the lobby area is SUPER rude. I ordered an appetizer and a espresso. I got an americano, and when I asked why, I got a huge attitude in return. After that, in about 20 min, ai checked the appetizer status, and got the same bad vibes in return. We decided to not stay for dinner, and I am not leaving a penny in gratuity . Outrageous

Yin H.

Yelp
We had this place on our list from the last time we were in Miami but didn't make it. We finally got a res this time around and were excited. The ambiance is beautiful. We were seated outside. It was a chilly evening and they had the fans running directly above our table. I asked if we could move to another table (mind you, the restaurant is pretty empty at this point) and the girl comes over and tells us no, that table is reserved. Umm ok. So I ask if they can turn off the fan and the guy tells me no, there is something complicated about the system blah blah. Already not off to a good start. So I ask him if we can move to the other table not directly under a high fan and he says ok. Our server is nice. Our drinks and first app come out and it's good. Then we wait and wait and finally our server comes back to tell us they accidentally delivered our food to the original table and so we have to wait a bit longer. She tells us that she'll comp something else that we order on the menu. I mean just comp something that we already ordered instead of asking us to get more food (they put an automatic 20% tip the highest I've seen in sobe on the check which is prob why she didn't want to do that). Anyways we get the food. The lamb is good and I wish she told us the fries would be a serving portion for like 6 ppl instead of letting us order it. Anyways all in all it was disappointing experience. Food was just ok (highlight was the Muhammara dip), very overpriced for what it is. Service is bad and they clearly need some help on operating a restaurant and trying to create a nice environment for their customers. When we left, I noticed the fans had been turned off at some point LOL literally just icing on the cake. There are too many places to choose from in SoBe. Won't be back.

Jessica B.

Yelp
Horrible experience, had a decent dinner w a waitress who hardly spoke at all. Food was sub par and after dinner my husband and our friend walked through the lobby and down hill from there, long story short hotel guest harassment and the women behind the bar also started to harass us the classless experience was certainly ghetto and i will NEVER return. The manager tried to make things better as it was my birthday but the bartender or bar back flipped me off also which i have photos of. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want a hood experience.

Yelp
Beautiful place , food very good . We had a great time , my kids were in love with the drinks !

Valerie M.

Yelp
I absolutely love the vibe and decor of this restaurant. Also the waiters and hostess are so nice and accommodating! The food is well portioned and priced. My least favorite dish was the eggplant toast only because I didn't taste the feta till the last bite. The braised lamb was my favorite, so good!! It is perfectly paired and the aroma oddly reminds me of thanksgiving. The baklava was missing the crunchy pastry that I am use to but overall the flavors were there and great! The chocolate mousse is VERY rich! Don't let the amount full you, it is a lot of chocolate. Muhammara was sweeter than others I have tried but was really good! If you are in the miami beach area i would check it out!

Ashley S.

Yelp
3 stars bc although the food we got was tasty the portions were extremely small ! Other than that was cute but wine list is a bit underwhelming and portions smallll like bite sized ! Perfect for a small bite but if you're starving you'll have to triple up on ordering things !

Christine B.

Yelp
Outdoor or Indoor the setting is lovely. The canal isn't much to see but use your imagination. Presentation is lovely. The flaming saganaki is lit up tableside. The muhumara dip with pomegranate seeds was my favorite though the hummus and labneh were good too. The eggplant on zak the baker sourdough was a must. The fries (side) are perfection with a dipping sauce and feta. The small plates really are small. For example falafel has only three small rounds. So order accordingly. Service was good and servers friendly. Worth it.

Mark B.

Yelp
I HATE THE NEW ORDERING APP!!! I'm a local who used to love Layla. Now I HATE it. No more servers! You walk into the restaurant, sit down, and...no servers. You scan a QR code and place your order on your phone. What is this??? Uber Eats??? You can't ask for anything other than what the menu offers. Dressing on the side? No! Extra pita? No! Please bring my entree with everyone else's. No! It comes when it comes. Plus, a 20% service charge is added...which is NOT the tip. You add the tip ON TOP of the food charge. No diner will do that, so servers are screwed. Plus, you can't share a bill as a credit card is required BEFORE you order anything. Whoever came up with this horrible idea should be fired! Layla, please make a public announcement when you shut down this stupid app! PEOPLE, AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Yelp
The food here is freakin' incredible. Had the kale salad, branzino filet, and blondie for Miami Spice Week. Compliments to the chef.

Yelp
We ate here 5-8-2022. Consumer beware, we got charged a 20% surcharge which they disclose, but then they charge Tax on total & surcharge! Manager said it was a problem with their billing system. Haven't seen a refund yet! Otherwise, small portions, good food, great atmosphere.

Yelp
My husband and I came to Layla tonight for our anniversary and I was so excited to give this place 5 stars for the majority of our time. The server was knowledgeable, pleasant and even captured a few photos for us. We had the miami spice menu which I do recommend. The starters were superb and the desserts were delicious. Unfortunately, my husband chose the branzino for the main entree and found a hair in it. My husband is a foodie so when he was impressed with the flavor, I was overjoyed. He was so disappointed in the hair but didn't want to make it a big deal either. We mentioned it to the waiter when he returned. We weren't expecting a free meal or special service but an apology and acknowledgement that it would be addressed in the kitchen would've been sufficient. Instead the waiter took our plates and went on to explain the dessert options. As a business owner myself, I thought that was horrible. The food itself was great but not sure I'd give it another try after our experience tonight. I hope it can be addressed within their staff to avoid losing future clients.

Yelp
We went to dinner at Layla on a Saturday night and it was wonderful. We made reservations on OpenTable and they were able to accommodate us with an outside seating. Both locations were great but the outside area is a bit more intimate. We tried their Miami Spice Menu ($42 PP) and it did not disappoint. Everyone in your party must pick this menu to order from it. The Miami Spice Menu is pretty small so we were able to order everything on it. I enjoyed the appetizers and entrees. Great service, delicious food, and the perfect vibe/music.

Yelp
Great intimate spot. Restaurant is beautifully decorated makes you feel like you've been transported to Morocco. They also have a great rooftop lounge area. Food was spectacular. Loved the chicken entree. Staff was so friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
New favorite Mediterranean restaurant in Miami. The food was incredible and so fresh. I can't wait to come back and try new things. The restaurant itself is super cute, feel like you're walking into a place in Tulum. Service and food were amazing, we got the hummus, tabbouleh , the tuna tartar and a branzino!

Yelp
Such a cute off the beaten pat venue. Amazing Mediterranean style food. Meze platter to start was divine and probably enough to fill us but followed up with the octopus and branzino. Our server was fantastic. As miami locals, always looking for great reliable spots. Think we found it.

Yelp
Recently, I made a dinner reservation for two on a Sunday evening in June. The reservation was made over the phone and was impressively well executed, demonstrating genuine interest, clear and precise communication with a follow up text message confirming the details. I was meeting someone there for a first date and an anticipatory note was made on the reservation to keep on mindful eye on the table ensuring I had someone watching out for my well being and to ensure my experience went smoothly. The server made excellent recommendations for splitting dishes and was mindfully attentive. Dinner was amazing, drinks were excellent, ambiance and decor were inspiring with the romantic candles, well kept greenery, exotic rugs, all tailor made for a perfect evening.
