Update: thank you Hannah for such bright and bon vivant service!! Sometimes it's the little things! Water from a carafe, cloth napkins, a steak knife is included with silverware, even the salt and pepper shakers are amazing too. The drink and food menus are creative and very diverse. We had a lunch combo and fish and chips. Food was excellent. Plus there are $11 TV dinners you can take home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

DOG GONE IT!!!! Really wish I could have taken my furball here. In town for work and decided to check this place out. WOW. First massive outdoor seating, greeted with a smile when you walk in. The place is very big. Was seated right away. Since it was my first time there the manager brought me garlic chips (HOLY YUMMY) to try. My server was so nice and helpful on the menu items. They have a great selection of food, plus drinks. I'll be putting this on my revisit list. My appetizer and dinner was delivered timely, looked excellent and very flavorful. So grab your dogs and visit a fun atmosphere. GREAT work Lazy Dog.

Google
This is the only Lazy Dog location where I’ve actually liked the food. I avoided Lazy Dog for years after a bad experience at another location, but this spot changed my mind. We’re working our way through the menu, and so far, our favorites are the burgers, butter cake, and brownie. The chicken teriyaki and salads weren't bad, just not standouts. We also tried one of the frozen pot pies and didn’t care for it — maybe it’s better fresh in the restaurant. The huckleberry lemonade is definitely a hit.

Google
I’ve been to lazy dog a few times, this time around I went today and front desk has a stank face. Not really sure why it’s hard to smile and be friendly in a customer service position but oh well. My server was amazing, I believe her name was Tay. She was super sweet and made sure I was perfect. She deserves her recognition as you could tell she was a very hard worker !

Google
Well, I'll start with the positive. The friendliness of the staff was great, along with our server, Hannah. Since it was our first visit, a manager treated us to their homemade chips that were drizzled with a mixture of oil, garlic, and not sure what else. My husband liked them, but I thought they were just okay. I will admit, we are picky eaters, which is the main reason for this lower review. The smells throughout the restaurant were odd, especially whenever anyone would order the bison burgers. We had trouble choosing what to order because everything on the menu had unusual ingredients for us. What we did order was just not for us, but we did manage to eat part of it. If you're picky like us, I wouldn't advise going to Lazy Dog, but if you have adventurous tastebuds, you'll love this place.

Google
New restaurant with good ambiance. Good place for drink and chill. Crowded always. Bar section has good collection and nice vibe. Food side I wouldn’t say up to the mark. Somewhat good. Portion of food is less. Wouldn’t recommend chicken wings fry and noodles, both were below average. Chicken Mediterranean bowl was ok. Burgers and other non veg items are good if you like no spice and steamed like food .

Google
We really enjoyed dinner! Love the restaurants layout - so open airy! Staff was great and I had never tried Chicken Fried Buffalo - so I am hooked! We will be back! A must try ❤️❤️

Google
Great food and drinks (deviled eggs and ceviche) burgers, meatloaf, even (sushi bowl pictured) and with a wide variety of options to choose from and a chill atmosphere. Ladonna was our server and gave us wonderful service.

Yelp
Outstanding Experience at Lazy Dog in Garland! I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Lazy Dog Restaurant in Garland! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for a great meal. Our server, Hannah, was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. She truly elevated our experience with her excellent service. Now, let's talk about the food--incredible! The queso was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, the perfect way to start the meal. But the real star? The chicken-fried bison--crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, and paired perfectly with the sides. Every bite was comfort food perfection! From start to finish, this was a top-notch dining experience. Great food, exceptional service, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We'll definitely be back! If you're looking for a place with delicious food and outstanding service, Lazy Dog in Garland is a must-visit. Highly recommend! This review keeps it detailed, enthusiastic, and engaging while still feeling natural. Let me know if you'd like any tweaks!

Yelp
For a Friday night where the patio is closed so the restaurant is completely packed, we received nothing but exceptional service from Bryan. He was more attentive than we could have predicted and was extremely kind. He had multiple tables, but we never felt neglected for a second. The food was good and although we missed out on happy hour, we feel like we got a great bang for our buck for a night out.

Yelp
Bryan provide a great services and suggestions for our dinner in Lazy dog. We had a great time here. Food and drinks were good.

Yelp
You can never go wrong with the fried deviled eggs. I tried the Korean Ribeye Bibimbap. It was amazing! So much flavor. The service was okay. They were really slow, but we had a large group.

Yelp
We love this place. The atmosphere is inviting. Service was great. Firecracker shrimp were very yummy. We split the Cuban, which did not disappoint! Asian salad as our side, which they even split for us before bringing it out. Nice touch! I also love that they offer flight options for beer and sangrias.

Yelp
Wish I could give zero ! We just moved into the area and my husband said pick a spot to try---- worst decision ever! We at least had a good server who TRIED

Yelp
Pick Your Own Combo lunch today, I went with 1/2 Deli Sandwich (Chicken Avo,Bacon Club), Caesar Salad, and house pickled cucumbers. Desert was Banana Pudding. Scott was very attentive to my table, I was next to the sportsbar, getting NFL updates. Hail Caesar! Very tasty, medium sized Caesar, great flavor to the last bite. The Club 1/2 sando, generous, but cold (?) Chicken breast needed ferocious chewing, as well as the pre-fab bacon. Flavors were okay, texture was the issue. The house pickled cukes have been great every visit here, subtle fresh taste. Banana Pudding made me dance like King Louie in Jungle Book! This was a pleasant surprise & great finish to this meal. One last sip of house coffee, and back on the road. Really nice facility here in North Garland, TX, along the PGBT 190 tollway. Plenty of parking, spacious interior Floorplan, with variety of seating. Out front, the covered patio is very nice, lots of tables, westward sunset view. *Pet-friendly patio seating: please check-in with staff, they will help you get seated.

Yelp
Bryan our server was incredible! My glass was never empty! Our food came out so quickly and it was hot and absolutely delicious. I would give Bryan 10 stars if I could. This place is awesome and I would recommend it.

Chirley S.

Yelp
As usual, the food was superb. I had the poblano pork and it was so tender and tasty. The side dish of blue corn cake was a perfect pairing with the pork. Unfortunately, I was starving and forgot to take a picture before devouring it. Our server, Kristen was on point! She has waited on us before and is always diligent in seeing that all is as it should be! She goes above and beyond in ensuring the meal is perfect! Highly recommend 12/10!!

Karen G.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely phenomenal!!! We had the deviled eggs and lettuce wraps which were amazing!!! Sarah took great care of us and we will be sure to come back

Hannah did an amazing job as our server? Food was great and prompt service! Thank you

Yelp
Brunch for BIL birthday. Arrived at opening. Welcomed in and seated immediately. Not a huge menu but what is there is a great selection. Waiter on point with drink refills, providing sauces, etc. Food overall was good, The pancake tacos were awesome. Has fried egg and candy bacon. I could only finish one. Will go back to try other selections.
google avatar

Laura W.

Yelp
The food was great. Everything we had was very tasty. Hannah was a great server, very friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
I loved the spacious and rustic interior. The pot roast sandwiche was really good!! Despite asking for mild seasoning, the seasoning on the French fries was pretty strong. The kids chicken teriyaki was a pass for my kids. Smaller bites helped but for some reason they didn't like it. Caesar was good though I could taste more anchovy than I normally am accustomed to, the chicken salad was great! The menu is extensive so it will be easy to find new things to try. The host stand is located very close to the door (and they are still working out the new kinks from being newly opened) and has been slightly chaotic the 3 times we have dined here.
google avatar

Daniela T.

Yelp
Ambiance was cool, typical of what you would expect from a lazy dog. So no surprise there at all. The service wasn't bad, they're attentive and friendly but not as helpful if you have question with the menu. The food was great for the staples, PBJ burger you can never go wrong! Bacon candy is always great, if you haven't tried it GET IT! Crispy rice salmon thing, avoid. They put guac on it and well yuck. Anyways, get that martini y'all! Super super delicious , they call it the mocha martini Cheers

Yelp
Thai noodles never seem to contain egg and contain a very little amount of chicken and the tofu bomb the noodles so make sure that you like tofu before you order this. It has a somewhat unbalanced flavor profile due to a lack of animal protein. Dear Garland store- Tofu is not meat. Tofu is to enhance not substitute in this recipe.

Samantha W.

Yelp
Always enjoy this restaurant and the happy hour. We love the lazy dog beer and apps. Thanks Hannah!

Service is good. Beers were horrible. Food was average. atmosphere was way too loud not much else I can say except for this needs more characters for it to be posted.

Yelp
Walked in and was immediately greeted by the Lazy Dog staffers. Brian was our very friendly server, and LaDonna was the sweet and generous General Manager (I think). Ladonna stopped by our table introduced herself. She also had some Sour Cream chips that had shredded cheese on them for our First time dining experience (complimentary). Brian revisited our table a lot and this was impressive. He made great suggestions on our drink selections and food choices. I chose the Pull Pork sandwich and it was just alright. My friend ordered the NY Steak, spinach ( he said was kinda bland for his taste) with mashed potatoes, and gravy. We sat in one of the high top booths and watched the different Monday night Football games playing on the televisions. The inside decor was nice and the place was well lit we didn't have to use our phone lights to read the menu's or anything. This was a Lovely dining experience for both of us. We'll definitely return whenever we're in this area.

Yelp
Ladonna WAS GREAT!!!! this place is freaking amazing!! The food and drinks are beyond great and they just added a new happy hour that is WOW in the best way!!! 15/10 must try this Lazy Dog

Joe S.

Yelp
I love the good food and service at this place. We had the crispy deviled eggs again last night (a Sunday) as an appetizer. So amazing. I really like the ginger soy salmon. The service is just right-our server was always there when needed. A woodford double bourbon is a better price than Saltgrass-a plus. The only negative item is management requires a phone number or email to get a receipt. The server left a Clover terminal on the table and i self payed. No option to print a receipt. I like my privacy but wanted a receipt. They should offer that option. Think about taking cash if you value privacy.

Celina E.

Yelp
10/10!! The service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out quickly. I also appreciated the wide variety of foods and drinks. The food was delicious; we started with bacon cheddar biscuits, which were prepared perfectly (we got a second order). The vibe is very relaxing and inviting, cozy booths and a fun rustic vibe. Bison meatloaf, teriyaki chicken bowl, pot roast dip & black & bleu burger were all a hit. No complaints!! Our drinks were delightful as well. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!

Yelp
Just had the most amazing dinner at Lazy Dog! Our server was the best ever Thank you Adriana! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We'll be back!

Yelp
We started coming here a few months ago and it has rapidly become a core part of our rotation. As we have started to get to know servers like Edio, we feel right at home and part of the neighborhood here. Particular recommendations include the weekend brunch (I like the veggie omelette and my wife loves the quiches) and the chicken fried chicken. Upscale interior and seeing doggos in the patio help complete the trifecta.
google avatar

Jenai B.

Yelp
Cajun fries were extremely salty, the roast beef dip had way to much horseradish... Couldn't eat it. Cheese curds were just ok. Best thing were my drinks.
google avatar

Chelsea W.

Yelp
I came here for lunch with my mom, and we had such a great time. We got the firecracker shrimp, the salmon, tortilla soup and my cocktail was really good! Our server was super fun and I wish I could remember her name, but she made our visit so lovely! My mom and I come here at least once a month and now she has my dad hooked on the firecracker shrimp as well! The restaurant is clean, spacious, and has plenty of food and drink options! They even have a outside patio, which is really nice. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Tried Lazy Dog for the first time and the experience was good not great. The process to get seated is fairly slow. There seems to be too much confusion even though there were multiple tables available. They maintained a long line at the entrance the entire time we were there. We started our meal with the queso dip appetizer and the in house beer flight. The waiter did mention the dip was not your traditional dip, but we decided to give it a try anyways. Overall the queso was not a hit for us, it has too many conflicting flavors with the addition of pimiento cheese. The beer flight was decent, but none of the beers stood out enough to order again. For my entree I ordered the Cuban sandwich with a side of onion rings. The sandwich was delicious, even though it is not a traditional Cuban since they use a thick sandwich bread instead of a loaf. The onion rings were flavorful and well cooked. I also like the multiple sauces they bring to the table during the meal. Overall our first visit was not memorable, but it was good enough to give it another try. The ambiance is laid back and loud, so depending on your mood this may detract from the experience. This restaurant is worth a visit if you're in the area, but not worth driving out of your way for.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
Server was great, patio was comfortable - dog friendly. Would be nice to see more options for vegans without having to edit since many waiters seem to have no idea what that means. Would still return for cocktails on a patio kinda vibe.
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
Been twice! Love this place. Husband always gets the bison meatloaf...he craves it! I got fish and chips (delicious and a lot!) and pot roast sandwich which was also super good. Give it a try
google avatar

Yelp
We have been here several times and it never fails to impress us. The food is great. The service is great. Even the prices are very reasonable for this economy. Love this place!

Yelp
Lazy Dog is my go to late night spot. The PB&J burger is the best burger I've had . The Cajun fries are excellent pairing. I was sadden that they no longer have the sweet potato tots.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
Bryan was our server and was great! Food was delicious as always. Highly recommend the pancake tacos on the brunch menu.
google avatar

Yelp
The hostess was so nice, wait staff is great and food is amazing! Love it every time we go.

Olla T.

Yelp
excellent food But I can't hear anyone talking because music is so loud. Not a good place for socializing and talking with friends - you have to scream over the music
google avatar

Barbara K.

Yelp
Great service from Marcus! Food came out fast, order was served perfectly and everyone ate their entire meal, it was so good! We tried the hand breaded chicken fingers (kids menu) ... delicious! Seared ahi tuna bowl: yummy! Lemon chicken Mediterranean bowl - SO good, perfect, tender chicken. A lot of extra rice though. I would have enjoyed more of the tomato cucumber mixture. Bison meatloaf and the pot roast were also thoroughly enjoyed!
google avatar

Lorena J.

Yelp
The service was fantastic!! From the hostess to the waitress we were taken care of and treated like first time guests (which we later told them) we also received a free waffle fry appetizer for being first timers. The food was great and the portion sizes were decent for the price. The menu has a variety of food selections. There is something for everyone! Not everything is traditional but what you do get is worth it. Will be back.

Rich W.

Yelp
Service was great, wide menu with good variety. Food we had was solid exactly what you want from a place like this (we are foodies both culinary background/training) so not a star restaurant but hitting their target great from our first visit as a regular stop.
google avatar

Toni W.

Yelp
Food 4 mostly good Service 2.5 Wrong order and took 25 min to make a hamburger. The rest of the group was done eating, no refills even though we asked. Ambiance 2, very loud background Second time here, first time was more attentive. Based off this visit I will not come back.

Devan Y.

Yelp
We've been a few times now and honestly we've never been disappointed. LaDonna is by far our fave! We were ordering the delicious hibiscus margaritas when she pointed out to our waitress to have us order a pitcher. And that's exactly what we did next time! The food is always so fresh and delicious! And EVERYBODY is so nice; from the hostess to the manager, but LaDonna is the best! This is definitely a staple in our new neighborhood.
google avatar

Ryanne D.

Yelp
We came for somebody's 21st birthday, had a huge group with two long tables. Service was a bit chaotic, however, we did have a big group. We did make reservations and we're seated promptly Food was good, drinks were good Restroom was fair. It needed attendance.
google avatar

Christy T.

Yelp
1st time here. To my surprise, no hot dogs lol. Bigger than I anticipated, and you can bring your dog in the outside patio (Awesome)! I ordered the club sandwich and Cajun fries, OMG I definitely recommend the fries!!! They have this lime seasoning which gives it a whole different kick!!! Worth the $2.50 upcharge!! The sandwich was ok, little dry but waitress recommended next time adding pesto and changing up the bread. I will come back just for the fries!! Our service was great as well, friendly staff.
google avatar

Tiffany U.

Yelp
We were warmly greeted by the hostess upon entering. The dinning room was spacious with high ceilings and ample space between tables. Our server Jeremy was so helpful guiding us through the menu. I ordered the Firecracker Shrimp and felt it had too much sauce. Jeremy was happy to change it out for another item on the menu. My friend wanted a hot chocolate with decaf coffee and he was so kind to see if they were able to do that for her. Lovely experience, thank you Jeremy!!! We'll definitely be back!!!
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
Finally, a nice, fun restaurant in our area! We've waited a long time. And it didn't disappoint at all. Good food and fun vibe. Our only semi-complaint is the young bartenders tend to make VERY small pours. But that may correct itself over time as we become regulars. Is the place perfect? No. But it's the best place around our area by far and we will keep going back again and again. We definitely recommend Lazy Dog if you live in the Garland area .

Andrea H.

Yelp
Lauren was the best server I've had by far in a while. She was so attentive and personable. Tianna welcomed us in with waffle chips at our table and had such a nice visit with my family. Will be returning.

Yelp
LaDonna was Great and the food was good too! Loved the pulled pork sandwich, lettuce wraps, and bison burger

Yelp
We went to Lazy Dog, and it was good.. i had the teriyaki wok, and my wife had a pot pie. The atmosphere is comfortable, the food was great and the service was awesome..
google avatar

Juan C.

Yelp
The food at Lazy Dog is pricey and at the same time not very good. They heavily advertise their tscratch kitchen but instead I left scratching my head at what that even meant since the food was nothing special. I don't like the membership offer they keep bringing up during your meal. I don't want to have a monthly membership to a restaurant, that's just too strange. Overall, the whole idea behind this restaurant chain is as its own name suggests; Lazy.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Got sitting really fast. Menu as a little all over the place but it just means there's something for everyone. Food came out really fast for how busy they were. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in town.
