As a quintessential neighborhood bar in Spring Branch, I could see many reasons why I'd be at Lazy Oaks Beer Garden often. Many of those reasons include a relaxed ambiance, a versatile space, affordable drinks, and no-nonsense service. All of those things make me wish I lived in the area.
It might not look like much from the outside, but the place has a lot going on for it. The divey charm here lends itself to the old school, nostalgic vibe that some folks tend to want. The outdoor seating is extensive and is an ideal place for groups that want to drink outside. The patio makes the place pet friendly and kid friendly, which practically means families should enjoy their time here as well.
Most of their drinks are under $10, which includes their selection of beers and cocktails. I enjoy the extensive beer taps, decent ventilation, and friendly bartenders. Their food selection includes sandwiches, tacos, wings, salads, and comfort foods, such as mac and cheese, truffle fries, and fried brussel sprouts.
Parking can get a little tight, so I'd consider their dedicated lot or parking across the street. It can be crowded on the weekends, but generally the place is very carefree with plenty of breathing room.
