LDU Coffee To Go

We have tried multiple coffees and sandwiches at LDU now and have been very impressed. We love their vanilla latte as well as a honey cinnamon latte with oat milk. The Yolk Oh O No sandwich is one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches. with the sun dried tomatoes being a great flavor add. Service was extremely kind when I went in and our orders were always prepared in a timely manner. Overall, I am a big fan of LDU and plan to come back.

The coffee shop has a really cute atmosphere, and the matcha was decent. My only disappointment was that there’s no Wi-Fi available, which makes it hard to stay and get any work done. It would be great if they offered it in the future. Overall, a nice spot, just not ideal for working or studying.

LDU Coffee is hands down my favorite coffee shop of all time, and that’s saying a lot considering I’ve been to over 80 coffee shops. From the moment you walk in, you feel the energy, hospitality, and rhythm that makes this place special. Josh and Ben are my go to baristas, they know their craft and their people. Whether it’s a simple black coffee or one of the artsy wishes like a latte or cortado, they always get it right. The quality is unmatched, and the consistency keeps me coming back. And a huge shoutout to Adam, one of the owners. Even in the middle of a rush, he still makes it a point to greet me by name and shake my hand. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare, and it’s what makes LDU stand out above the rest. It’s more than just coffee here, it’s community, connection, and quality all in one.

We’ve been coming to this LDU location for several years, stopping in every time we’re in from out of town—usually about once a month. The folks here are truly some of the nicest you will ever meet. On top of that, they make the best cappuccinos and lattes in Dallas. You absolutely cannot go wrong giving them a try.

I have given LDU a few tries. Their iced coffee is horrible. It tasted off and a bit sour. Their hot lattes aren’t any better. I’m not big on sweet coffees either. Their morning glory cake is delicious though.

This was my go-to local coffee shop for two months. I loved the atmosphere and espresso. Wife and I spent $260 here over two months. I got the oat milk Cortado every visit. Espresso is good; however, the Cortado was inconsistent half the time I ordered it. Sometimes I would get 3oz or 4oz of total volume depending on who made the Cortado. It’s supposed to be 4 oz in total. On my last visit, the Cortado had under 3 oz of total volume. I finally decided to ask one of the employees if they could add 1 oz more oat milk so I could have an actual Cortado rather than what was essentially an espresso macchiato, especially since they charge $0.75 for oat milk. When I asked, the employee said she could add one more ounce of oat milk only if I paid an additional $0.75. I told her I already paid $0.75 for oat milk and that the drink was made incorrectly and that I did not want to drink it. She said the drink “looks fine” and denied helping. The whole interaction was terrible. Every other coffee shop I’ve been to has been more than willing to correct a drink or exchange it if it did not taste right or was made incorrectly. I’ve stopped going here unfortunately due to this interaction as I don’t want an inconsistent drink that I pay an extra $0.75 for oat milk and the employee embarrasses you in front of the community when you ask for them to make the drink correctly.

I stopped in at LDU Sunday morning for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. It was a happening spot with quite a bit of people in line. The line moved fairly fast. I did notice if you do order food it does take them a bit to bring your food out. I got the Yolk O Oh No sandwich. It contained egg, bacon, sun dried tomatoes. The sandwich was a little disappointing it just looked like a sad sandwich and had a not so great taste. The coffee was delicious and had great flavor. Overall a great experience but will stick to just coffee next time.

Great coffee, and a decent place to meet for an early morning business meeting. The store has a lot of foot traffic, but they have a very efficient order-ahead and pick-up system. There is a large gym next door that seems to send waves of people over to LDU. The staff is super friendly and efficient and they manage the line as well.

Smells like fresh coffee the moment you walk in. Easy, fast vibe. No WiFi and hard wooden benches, so this place is your drive-thru without a drive thru, grab and go coffee joint. Ordered the usual: decaf flat white with heavy cream. They take your name (and probably a clothing description) but walk your drink directly to you. Kind of a neat touch there. Strong bitter coffee, more foam than I'd prefer (more latte than flat white). Temp is just right for being able to drink it down quickly. The "H+H" scribed on the lids has us both curious/concerned that it might be half and half vs heavy cream. Ehn. Not in our top five; wouldn't be worth a repeat when there are other untapped opportunities in the DFW area.

2.75 I was craving a sweet treat, so I stopped in to try a couple of loaves. I got the cinnamon coffee cake, and it wasn't good at all. It tasted like it had been in the fridge for at least a day. I'm mad because I got 2. I got 1 toasted and buttered, and they both tasted like refrigerator. I also got a morning glory that was delicious. The cinnamon coffee cake wouldn't have been good even if it didn't taste like refrigerator. The staff was great. I came in 15 minutes before closing, but they still served me without attitude which I loved. I would recommend to the owner/manager to maybe join Too Good To Go to get rid of the last of the pastries/snacks at the end of the day instead of refrigerating them and selling them at full price the next day. Perhaps run a last hour sale, a BOGO even. I'll be back because I liked the morning glory, but will go earlier in the day. No pics as I was driving and eating.

I was in town for the weekend and this place was the go-to for my partner and I! The area was cute and the staff members were friendly as hell. Their toasted/buttered blue berry loaf and (as basic as it sounds) their vanilla latte was delicious! Thanks for a great experience

Such a great find in Dallas!! Staff is really friendly and accommodating, parking was easy, and plenty of indoor seating. We ordered an iced oat milk latte and you have the choice of adding an extra shot and syrup to your latte for no additional charge. Our latte came out the perfect color! Being from California, prices here were extremely reasonable and both the espresso and drip coffee were delicious. A great, quick pick me up in the city!

When you come in this shop, you will keep on coming back over and over and over again. There is no doubt about it. The LDU is amazing coffee, Dallas. They do have options for people or gluten-free dairy free and nut free. Don't be surprised when you walk into the shop. There is always long why especially in the weekends. Definitely a long line so best advice to order from the app or bring your friends or bring a book and with that long line. When they hand your coffee, it is a quick time, so then turnaround time is quicker than waiting in line. They do have coffee and they definitely do have Macha and yes, Macha is a powder form. They do have their take of their coffee, so it is amazing, specially the space cowboy . All the coffee is freshly batch at freshly brewed, so it's no surprise whether coffee is amazing. Definitely one of the best part to check out for coffee shop.. also there is food there from donuts to like make a sandwich. A little bit brunch didn't get food there too.

Run of the mill coffee shop. I always saw LDU was PACKED on weekends so I figured it must be the best, but I would say it is average, not in a bad way, but just nothing special. Upon entering, there is usually a line that will take 2-5 minutes to get through. I will say I give them a lot of credit on their ability to keep the line moving; however, I prefer a spot that has welcoming upon arrival. The staff is kind when you get to the front, but if you wait in line, it is some time before that exchange happens. Upon getting to register, the staff is kind, but I have not had an exceptional experience. When ordering, they have a small menu of basic options such as honey, chocolate, or vanilla flavors of your standard coffee/milk combination options. I personally would love to see more creative options from time to time as well as Carmel added to the menu as the current menu is overly basic in my opinion and not worth repeat visits. All in all, if you are in need of a quick caffeine boost, it will give you your fix, but if you're looking for something special, I'd recommend elsewhere.

My coffee was good. Better than Starbucks. I'd say 6.5-7 out if 10. Espresso shot was a little over extracted/ biitter. The milk was steamed well. I wanted a flatwhite. Which is traditionally 8oz but they only serve 10oz and 16oz. I asked if they could just make the drink 8oz in the 10oz cup and that was not possible. No cortabos as well. Ok...

Banana bread toasted is the bomb.com. Any of their lattes can do no wrong and all taste great. There are a good amount of seats inside and few outside when weather permits. Long lines during rush hour

Cute little coffee shop with a hometown feel. We were greeted as soon as we stepped our feet in the door. Love that! We were asked what we're in the mood for and given suggestions. I already knew that I wanted to try the coffee cake which I'd heard about from another review. When I mentioned that, he said ohhh yeahhh good choice. He also asked if I wanted it toasted and buttered....mmmm yes I do!! You're given a number and you can find a seat while they work on your order. They have books and items for sell that you can browse while waiting. There's also outdoor seating if you prefer to sit outside. Nice place with great service and I'd definitely visit again!

Double check your order if you use the order ahead feature. I've had multiple issues with getting the wrong order and it came to a head today when they totally forgot to make my sandwich and I had to wait nearly 10 minutes for them to cook it.

Stopped by to pickup a coffee and breakfast sandwich in the morning. This place was packed! I had to wait about 10 minutes for the coffee and sandwich, which was not too bad. Sandwich was delicious as well as the coffee. Pretty neat place! I would place a pickup order in the future due to the crowds and limited seating

I love the vive and ambiance. It's a little tuff to find parking by the front but they do have a large garage for extra parking. The food and lattes are delicious. Been here only once but looking forward to return.

Love the everything here from the staff, service, and coffee! I appreciate that they have several options for both the hot coffee and the iced coffee. I would love to see coconut milk on the menu!

Very good coffee and the baristas were very nice! I wish there were more outlets and even wifi... I get it's a "to-go" concept but if you're gonna have seats then make it a study space. The coffee was pretty good though so I would come back.

You get this corporate feel as you walk up to the front door, the building is dark brick and looks very modern. Once you walk in, you see open space with communal tables and a minimalist feel. Decor-nothing fancy, simple wood booths, and a large circular table full the exterior of this place. The walls are high and they have some cool lighting. Service-I'd say it was ok, he took our order, but didn't really greet us or smile. Maybe he was having a bad day, not sure. Coffee-Cowboy Juice was smooth and stout. My wife's Vanilla Latte was good, but not the best in the world. She mentioned it had a bit of a bitter taste towards the end of each sip. Prices were good.

LDU coffee is some of the best coffee in Dallas. The inside of this place is very trendy and you will see tons of people there on the weekends. You can expect to wait 5 to 10 minutes for your coffee on the weekends due to how many people are there but it is worth the wait.

Went in for a brief work session on my computer. I ordered a vanilla latte (as this is a basic metric to evaluate a coffee shop) Initial thoughts: Easy parking Great customer service Simple menu No WiFi (hmm strange for a coffee shop?) I'm guessing since this place is a "to-go" coffee shop there's not an emphasis on providing WiFi for paying customers. The vanilla latte was uneventful and honestly not the best I've had in DFW. The bean options are limited. Requested a lighter roast vs medium. They mentioned they only have "one type of beans used" Overall, not my favorite but is a solid coffee shop for those looking for a grab and go.

First time trying this place. 10 out of 10!! The banana bread is amazing. I had an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and it was delicious. I didn't eat there but ordering online and picking up was super easy! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was chill. People were working or reading. They have plenty of seating. I will definitely be back.

I cannot recommend this spot enough! What I always order: 16oz Iced Vanilla Latte with Oat Milk ($6.25) - I love how creamy the latte is, as it is the most similar to Summer Moon I've had. Super friendly staff who always bring a smile to my face. Not the most conducive to getting work done, as there is limited seating and no Wi-Fi. Definitely a go to grab-and-go coffee spot!

Nice coffee shop in a good location. There were a lot of workers and everyone was super friendly. It took about 15 minutes to make my drinks. There were tons of online orders being made and placed on their to go shelf. I don't think the walk in orders were being prioritized unfortunately. Next time I will order ahead to skip the wait.

Do not come here if you want to work on your laptop/phone etc. unless it's fully charged. No wifi or power outlets. Matcha latte wasn't bad but also not stellar.

I love the breakfast sandwiches here but also the coffee is so good. This is the only coffee place I can drink black because they make is so yummy. I also love the people here are always so personable and friendly. I feel so welcomed each time I come in. Service is also very fast!

I drink coffee out everyday. I am the biggest coffee snob. This is the best latte you'll literally ever have in your life. I love ice vanilla half sweet. And cowboy coffee with oatmilk.

Plenty of parking, and they got about 6 different tables to sit at. The barista was really helpful with giving suggestions and customizations like 3 shots or 2, milk types ect Got the iced oat milk latte for $5.75 after tax and it's not bad. Coffee flavor is not exactly my type, more on the light side. And there was not enough syrup. I just dropped by to grab and go. But not my kinda place to sit at for hours for work

We love LDU!! The place is tucked away on Fitzhugh under some apartments and always busy but for good reason. Their coffee is something special, whether it be a cold brew, a latte or their dirty chai (my go to) you cannot miss. They also have delciiius blueberry bread and a ton of pastries available to treat yo self. The staff is truly some of the nicest I've ever encountered and so patient even when there's a ton of people and cute dogs all around. I take advantage of their order ahead option online to get in and out but would love to sit down one day. They don't have WiFi but they offer tables to chat and have board games available.

We loveeee the sisi with sauce on the side! The coffees are simple and great. I feel like with coffee they're so fast paced they call your name and you leave. LDU takes time to bring you your food and drinks which i feel like in coffee world that's harder to come by. I was actually presently surprised

We went to LDU Coffee to have our coffee passports stamped. The atmosphere is really comfortable inside, and there is free parking in the garage. On a hot day like today, we got an iced vanilla latte, which was really refreshing. We also tasted the iced honey vanilla oat milk latte, which was delicious and not too sugary.

Used to love this place and decided to come by while I was in town. Unfortunately the girl working the cashier was very rude and did not say a single word to me but stared at me waiting for me to order. Additionally my latte tasted terrible and like burnt coffee beans. I won't be returning.

Although I have never ordered from LDU, my mom always rants about how they got her ridiculously long coffee order correct.

This place has huge windows allowing for amazing natural light to come in. I love that everything is very neutral inside, making it somewhat calming. There is a bunch of different types of seating here - tables for two, high tops, bar-ish area, wooden benches, and a round table. It is spacious and I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I can't say too much. I did enjoy my drink though! What made my time there a little less enjoyable was the unfriendly vibe I got from the workers. I felt a bit out of place. The servers/workers there made conversation with many people in line, but when I got to the front and asked a couple questions they were cold, monotoned in their answers, and lacked enthusiasm. Also, wasn't even sure where to find the wifi code and felt uncomfortable having more interaction with the people there. The friend I went with, who IS an avid coffee drinker, said she liked her drink but it wasn't amazing. Nothing extraordinary. Wouldn't be against coming here, but wouldn't be the first on my suggestion list either.

Great Flat White! Well, I finally made it here before their 4pm closing time. Loving their stark and sleek interior as soon as I stepped in. Soft techno music overheard while checking their board. Welcoming and friendly was this Monday's counter service. Serene it was sitting at a booth. Fascinated I was with the natural lighting streaming in by the design of their large windows and of their multiple hanging lights for accent. And then came my first sip ... Mmm ... for a second, the world, the other guests, the glaring computers, and, whispers all slipped away. No longer do I need any other connection but to this heavenly strong COFFEE and velvety microfoam in front of me, the quiet bliss of this day. CHEERS!

Was visiting Dallas and stayed in the area. It seems like a local community coffee shop. Grabbed alatte and a Doppio, the usual and also got a chicken sandwich. Latte was good and served in a glass cup. The dopio was ok, not the best and sandwich was ok. I got a hot sauce to compliment it that was decent and different. The service is friendly and people nice. There was inside seating and outside too. All and all its a chilled coffee shop id visit frequently if I lived in the area, but not one I'd rage about.

This is the smoothest latte you will find in Dallas. It is so good! And staff is super friendly!

Came here with high expectations for a good coffee spot and let me tell you I didn't leave disappointed. The decor of this place is absolutely awesome. I definitely recommend this place a great cup of coffee.

My absolute favorite coffee shop in East Dallas. Delicious coffee, food, and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet! I always leave here with a smile on my face.
