The wines here aren't just made; they're nurtured. You can taste the sunshine, the earth, and the gentle touch of a thoughtful hand in every drop. There was a moment when I was tasting a particular red and I swear, I could picture tiny gnomes toiling away in a vineyard, tending to the vines with care and a bit of magic. Every pour felt like a discovery, each aroma a forgotten memory brought back to life. This is what wine is meant to be—a heartfelt, honest expression of time, place, and passion. If you're looking for an experience that will delight your palate and warm your soul, you must visit. It's truly a one-of-a-kind place that makes you believe in a little bit of magic.

Today, my friend and I had the pleasure of immersing ourselves in the Le Nez du Vin experience, affectionately described as “aromatherapy for wine lovers”, at LDV Winery Tasting Room while visiting in Scottsdale and what a deliciously educational afternoon it turned out to be! Hosted in an intimate, welcoming setting, this tasting went far beyond the typical swirl-and-sip. Peggy, one of the owners, was our guide for the day, and her expertise brought the experience to life! With warmth and depth, she walked us through the story of LDV Winery, the unique characteristics of their vineyard, and the complex notes woven into their red and white wine selections. We explored how aroma, flavor, and food pairing can elevate wine from simply good to truly memorable. It was like unlocking a new language of flavor, one sip at a time. This is the kind of experience that lingers in the best way. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just beginning your tasting journey, the Le Nez du Vin experience is a beautiful way to deepen your appreciation. Perfect for couples, friends, or a small group looking to share something special and memorable. Highly recommended!

I experienced the worst customer service to date from Sheryl the front room manager. My fiancé and I while walking around downtown Scottsdale decided to stop by and enjoy a tasting. From the moment we walked in .. the look of distaste on Sheryl’s face was evident .. however .. Grace right? I’ve been a server and although there was only one other table there who knows how the hour prior was. So we decided to stay and enjoy our engagement vacation. After getting our wine and meat and cheese board and witnessing the pleasure in which she attended to other tables I decided .. well let me get the bill and a box and just leave because why stay where you’re not welcome. Sheryl then gives me a dirty Tupperware container .. yes .. a stained dirty Tupperware container box to put my appetizer in which I refused and decided we’re just going to go. She then threatens to call the police on my fiancé and I for eating and refusing to pay. Which is the furthest from the truth. How do you offer a paying customer a stained and used container? I have never in all my years been so disgusted with an establishments service. I called the owner Peggy and she apologized. Attached are some photos of the meal. Very cute and cozy establishment The couple that was seated when we arrived raved about the boards however we didn’t even get a chance to taste it. All in all if you decide to go .. pray you encounter a different circumstance.

We had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Susan during our visit, and she truly made the experience unforgettable. Her knowledge of the wines was incredible—she guided us through the selections with such expertise and passion that it elevated the entire tasting. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guest experience and takes pride in what she does. Susan created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and her recommendations were spot on. Truly a lovely woman and a real asset to the team. We left feeling happy, relaxed, and even more in love with wine. Thank you, Susan!

We had a beautiful time on the patio at LDV Winery. We bought two bottles of wine. Each bottle was less than $30, but were delicious. We enjoyed a glass at the winery to enjoy the early evening hustle of Old Town. The Rhyolite Viognier was delicious. The 2015 Petite Syrah was good. The service was excellent.

We really enjoyed our time here. The server was amazing and explained every detail. They stayed open for us even tho they were closed and I enjoyed my birthday tasting there. Even bought a bottle which was kind of pricey.

I took my girls (mom and two daughters) here for the Scottsdale Wine Trail. Natalie was our sommelier and was absolutely amazing. She made our experience so much better! She was super professional and helped us to understand what we were selecting. Will definitely come back!!’ Get the Passport! You won’t he disappointed.

Google
Place was ok, outside seating available so you are able to people watch folks on the street. We got the robust red flight, all 3 had a good flavor, although the 2015 Sky Island Petite Sirah was our least favorite, and had a LOT of sediment in the pour we received. Our favorite was the 2016 Petite Sirah, which we have a slight nod to over the 2016 "The Signature" Petite Sirah.

Yelp
Everything about this place was great! I called in to make a reservation for Mother's Day. My party was small and they had originally told me that I could just come on in but I wanted to make sure we had space since it was mother's day and they let me make that reservation. When we got there, there was a space ready for us and I was able to surprise my mom with something she loved, wine and a charcuterie board with all her boys. All wine is local to Arizona and from what everyone told me tasted great. Even my husband, who doesn't drink wine, found a great wine he loved and had a couple glasses too. They even had drinks for non drinkers or dd's which was nice for them (me that day). The charcuterie board tasted so good and that pesto and wine fig jam (chefs kiss). I want that stuff on everything! In the end, everyone was happy and wanting to come down to try more wines and just chill! Thank you LDV Winery team for helping my Mom have a good Mother's Day! Can't wait to stop by again!

Yelp
This is such a cute little tasting room! Victor was the best!! He talked to us about where the wine came from, sites to see while we were in town, and Scottsdale in general. He made us feel so welcomed and connected with our group seamlessly. As for the wine, we got the LDV flight. I was leaning toward the light flight but followed suit at his recommendation and that was a great call! I usually really like viognier but found that it was my least favorite of the flight. The reds offered were more my speed. The location of LDV made for great people watching while also being comfortably in the shade on a busy corner. We could see the party buses, animal scooters, and even a dog in a backpack on a motorcycle. Great experience

Yelp
I don't know if it was me being tired or overly stuffed from a late lunch but I wasn't a fan of any of these wines. I had the LDV tasting of their top 4 wines. First was The Sky Island Viognier and it was so oxidized I could barely get it down. The next 3 got slightly better with each one, but not by much. Sad because I specifically planned to stop here on my trip because it looked so good online. The young man who was working was very pleasant and friendly, the location is very nice, great outdoor seating.

Yelp
We had a great time at LDV Winery. We did a flight tasting and were able to sit comfortably and chat with other people in the establishment. The wines were delish. The location was cute and cozy, with lots of windows. It was a great way to celebrate my birthday while in Arizona!

Yelp
Great local, low sugar, and vegan wines! We loved our experience here, courtesy of our sommelier Liza. I would definitely recommend making this one of your Scottsdale winery stops.

Yelp
The service at LDV was amazing! I loved the atmosphere, the food and of course the wine recommendations made. Would definitely visit again!

Yelp
It was a lovely day out so an outside patio for some wine tasting was a must do. There are a few options for wine tasting in the area, but this location was perfect as it is a quick stroll from fashion square and all of the cute shops lining the streets of old town. The staff were all very sweet and checked in on us often. As expected for old town Scottsdale there were also many parties rolling by on the champagne train and party bikes which made the experience fun.
google avatar

Lindsay D.

Yelp
Lisa did a 4 wine tasting. My flight included the rhyolite, rose grenade, Syrah, and petit Syrah. All the wines were easy drinking and not super oaky. A nice patio area with the live music carrying over from the nearby square. The staff here were super nice, and it seemed like a popular place for a girls' day out. They even had some nifty holders to help them bring out the flights. It's good to try what Arizona has to offer. Would like to see then use real glasses for water instead of single use cups as they are using glassware for the wine anyway.
google avatar

Nina H.

Yelp
A nice vibe for our foursome. We tried 2 flights of wine. My favorite was the bold reds. We also got the cheese tray which complimented the wines. The outdoor patio had nice sunny seating, here the end of January.

Yelp
In Old Scottsdale....very busy.....nice indoor and outdoor sitting area.... Very good wine...and service was fantastic

Yelp
Had a nice tasting here with an attentive server. They serve the wines all at once instead of pouring as you finish which makes it a little less personal. The wines were really outstanding. Great spot to visit!

Yelp
I was in town for a girls trip/reunion and we did a mini wine tour in old town Scottsdale. LDV was our first stop. The visit was well worth it. Upon arrival we were immediately seated in a cozy comfy area that provided us with some privacy . We opted to do some tastings and Deanna was able to mix & match the tastings to everyone's liking. We liked their wine choices (a few of us shipped some home home) and the hospitality. This is a must if you're ever in the area.

Yelp
Just had wine. We both had the Varietal flight. We liked the Viognier and the Grenach. We bought a bottle of each. Service was excellent.

Yelp
The customer service here is impeccable! Visiting with a friend, and Alyssa welcomed us in even though they closed 30 minutes prior. She took the time to educate us and went above and beyond! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Cynthia B.

Yelp
The people behind the bar were very helpful about asking what kind of wine we usually like, and making their own suggestions. We went in on a very busy night, but they got to us very quick. The only thing we all thought at our table was we wished they would have some bread, and cheese's maybe some charcuterie boards which would really throw it over the top!

Yelp
While scootering the streets of Old Town Scottsdale, my husband and I came across the LDV Tasting Room. At which point, we ditched the scooters and decided to go in for a spur-of-the-moment wine tasting. It was an early Monday afternoon, so it made sense we were the only ones there. My husband and I each had our own flights of wines and have to say every single wine from our tastings was very easy to drink. But the best one would have to be the 2016 Petit Syrah. I liked it so much, I immediately wanted a full glass of it, and even purchased a bottle of it for the road. Deana, our wine specialist/steward was extremely knowledgeable and hospital. We had a great time chatting with her and would have stayed longer if we did not have a flight to catch. Thank you, Deana for making our short time in Old Town Scottsdale so enjoyable. We'll definitely be back for more LDV wines the next time we're in Arizona.

Yelp
Probably THE best winery in Scottsdale! The owner is very nice and welcoming, very knowledgeable as well. She suggested a few wines, kept checking in on us. There is inside as well as outside seating, it was a bit hot midday and she turned on the misters for us which made all the difference. The outside area is very nice to sit outside and enjoy a wine flight

Yelp
Had a great time enjoying some delicious wine. They have something for everyone. I enjoyed all the wine. The atmosphere was great, friendly staff and location was close to everything. I'd stop in for a glass of wine before or after an event or day of running errands. This place is a gem!

Yelp
This was such a fun find. After leaving brunch we were looking to walk off the food, but the heat said nahhhh Thankfully, we stumbled into this quaint little place and it was so great. Out server was so knowledgeable in helping us with the flights and each one had it's goods and bads (as wine subjectively does), but the whole experience was great! I think this is such a cute place for a date, to learn about wines or to have a group thing. If you're visiting Phoenix/Scottsdale, add this to your list.

Yelp
My wife and I first learned of LDV Winery at the DC Steakhouse in Chandler in 2021. We had stopped in for a meal and ordered the only petite sirah on the wine list. They brought out the 2014 LDV Signature Petite Sirah, which was delicious. Since it was 7 years old, I asked the server if they had to pull it out of a corner and clean the dust from the bottle. They told me it had been delivered to the restaurant only a month earlier. Since it was so tasty, my wife and I decided to seek out a tasting room that carried the LDV wines. We found the winery's tasting room in downtown Scottsdale right away. Visiting that tasting room, we found that the wines that were in release were all several years old. Curt and Peggy's philosophy is to age their wines at the winery and release them when they are ready to drink. From the time of release, the wines will last several more years, if handled with care. Unlike many wineries, LDV wines are made to improve with age and the winery starts the aging by holding on to the wines until they are ready to drink. We also joined the wine club at the tasting room, for the steady supply of excellent wine and the special events. Most recently, we attended a food and wine pairing event, where Peggy prepared several small plates for the attendees and described the recipe, preparation, and how the paired wine was chosen. The food was delicious and the paired wines went with each dish perfectly! If you are in the Scottsdale neighborhood, I highly recommend visiting the tasting room.

Yelp
While the ambiance was nice the wine was unpalatable. I am a wine lover and I wasn't expecting amazing but for the first time ever in all my years of wine tasting I literally left a full glass of wine on the table. The server simply said sorry can't please everyone.
google avatar

Yelp
The cutest wine tasting experience! I learned about this place from a travel group! It was well worth it. We came to Phoenix/Scottsdale for our anniversary trip. I was actually shocked at how packed it was. I was expecting a smaller crowd. But It's worth it! I chose the light wine option. It was 3 for 15. Our server was the sweetest lady. She explained the wines to us and was very attentive. Highly recommended if your visiting Fashion Square!

Yelp
LDV is a classy, tasteful spot in the heart of Old Scottsdale. From the moment we entered, we were treated with utmost respect, and it was clear how much the hostess appreciated the wines. She was generous with samples, too. I was disappointed they were out of white wine, as the reds they carried were heavier than I tend to really appreciate. Even though the wines were not my favorite, the tasting room experience was very delightful.
google avatar

Florence X.

Yelp
We spontaneously stopped by this location when we found out the rooftop bar we were looking for had closed. They were super helpful and explained their selections very well. Since we weren't local they even gave us some tips and advice about the area to try as well! We tried their sky island Grenache white wine, decade red blend, and petite syrah! All were amazing!

Jane Z.

Yelp
Walked across the street from Merkin on our way to another winery. Saw LTV and were pleasantly surprised at how cute it was inside and Deanna was super friendly and answered all of our questions! So glad we saw it!
google avatar

Yelp
Visited in March 2022 and tried the light flight. All three wines were good and ended up taking home a bottle of the Sky Island Viognier. We enjoyed the patio and the staff was very helpful. Definitely check them out !
google avatar

Claire H.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere! Tucked perfectly in old town Scottsdale near the restaurants & canal, this place is perfect people watching. Even on a very hot, summer day, the shade and mist machines made sitting outside at patio 4 enjoyable! Kelly provided great service with a huge smile to my party! She had great knowledge on the wines available and made wonderful recommendations. It was great to see Peggy as well. She was so friendly to my party of newcomers to explain a little about the name's history. This is a place I'll be back to more often!
google avatar

Yelp
I went to LDV with a good friend and we were there on a Sunday. We sat in the corner and we're greeted and welcomed by all who was on staff. Liza took care of us. Told us the story about the winery and made some incredible suggestions for wine to have. We also partook in some of the charcuterie they had. It was incredible!!! The boards were so cute and delicious, I could've had 3. We had a white and a red. The white had notes of pineapple and and was very bright and delicious. The red was a petite Syrah and Liza brought over some chocolate that was a truly perfect pairing. They had a solid pop of people show up and the time we were there, and I never once felt neglected. Overall, it was the perfect experience. We will return again!

Yelp
What else can I say about this marvelous establishment, it was just so damn fun!! There's such an amazing selection of wine here. I didn't expect Arizona to have so much wine actually made here for some reason. I know that's terrible to acknowledge but I guess the biggest misconception has to be that 99% of all the wine in the U.S. comes from California or at least the best wines in the country. I love the fact they can deliver anywhere in the U.S. if you purchase a certain amount or at least that's what I think I was told. I may have the "certain" amount wrong but they do deliver for sure. I wrote down a list of what I loved & will be ordering soon that's for sure. Great wine & great host = amazing experience!!

Brooke L.

Yelp
Enjoyed a delicious flight of wine while sitting on the patio. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave a great insight to the wine list.
google avatar

Yelp
Great find in Old Town Scottsdale. Very pleasant employees and wonderful wine selections. Highly recommend stopping by for a glass or tasting.
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
This little winery off the waterfront in Scottsdale has a great location with great outdoor seating. We shared 2 different red flights to get a feel for their options since this was our first time with their wine. Though it wasn't for us (more musky than we like) it was pleasant otherwise. We didn't feel rushed during our flights. Our server was very nice and helpful.
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place and Liza was so wonderful, I felt like I was just hanging with a friend and she made us feel so welcome! We did a wine flight and every glass had us more and more impressed and don't get me started with the homemade pesto! Thanks for having us and we will certainly be back!!

Susan P.

Yelp
We tried the red wine flight with the deeper, richer reds and it was delicious. We liked all three samples that we tasted and felt the prices were reasonable. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Patio seating was pleasant and fairly comfortable.
google avatar

Janite S.

Yelp
Enjoying corner table on the patio with misters on cool summer night = Winning! I was lured in by the inviting patio, signage of wine tasting and the sight of comfy outdoor seating. I am happy to report LDV Winery has exceeded my expectations from the friendly knowledgeable staff to the clean restrooms. I sampled the the "Taste of LDV" which is great deal! Each 3 oz pour was better than the last pour, I found myself yearning for the next glass to compare and contrast the wine. I would highly recommend trying this spot if you need date night or maybe awaiting dinner reservations in the area. Just stop in and try something different than your norm, you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
A tasting at LDV was a great way for me to pass some time during a long flight delay! The taproom is small and cute with a little bar area for tasting. There are three separate tasting options - light (three wines), medium (five wines) and a higher priced option that includes a tasting of various premium wines. We went with the middle option and tried five wines that were all unique and delicious. I've been to many wine tastings and it's rare for me to really enjoy every single wine. At LDV I honestly did, and so did my husband. The medium tasting is $12 per person for five solid pours. If I wasn't carrying on luggage I would have definitely snagged a few bottles to take home. The staff member who led our tasting was extremely sweet and knowledgable and gave us some great info about the wine. Amongst all of the many bars, restaurants and shops in downtown Scottsdale a tasting at LDV is something fun and different to do. If you have some extra time it's also part of a wine trail with a few other wineries.

Yelp
The owners were very welcoming and friendly. I am not a real wine drinker but came supporting my boyfriend as he loves wine. As a fake wine drinker; the flight recommended to me was not for me but he loved everything he had and everything I had. The owners are very hospitable and I would recommend this place to anyone searching for a quaint, friendly wine environment.
google avatar

Stacy M.

Yelp
Staff is friendly. Great location along the canal. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bit pricey. Spent $17 with tax and tip for a 3 oz pour of wine.
google avatar

Quincie G.

Yelp
Really loved this place! All wines are from local AZ winery. Staff is great and help you pick ones to try until you find one you love. The place is great and patio is really nice to sit outside for a couple hours
google avatar

Lee Z.

Yelp
We visited recently and this was our first stop. At first I was a little hesitant to try the light flight, but after tasting the Reds..OMG, their wines blew us away!! We immediately tried the light flight and were totally shocked how good they were! Before we left, we signed up for their wine club. I love Sonoma wines, but the wines at LVD are just as good, if not better than some of the Sonoma wines!! Loved the wines, so by signing up for the club, we will be sure to have them year round. The ladies in the tasting room were fantastic and their help was much appreciated. We tried another winery after that, but nothing compared to the wines at LVD!! Thank you!!
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Wine was mid. Charcuterie was a lunchable. However, the homemade pesto was a redeeming quality. Not mad, but only for the elementary wine drinker.

Awesome A.

Yelp
I had the Grenache, my partner enjoyed the Shiraz. While the wine was delicious, the service we were provided by Deanna was beyond incredible.
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Found this tasting room while out shopping in Scottsdale. Enjoyed the tasting so much we ordered a couple glasses of wine and a meat/cheese plate to enjoy on the patio. The refreshments were delicious and the hostess was very warm & welcoming.
google avatar

Nikki O.

Yelp
Bartender advised she was taking last call at 9:20 although the establishment closed at 10. Was obvious she was not interested in serving my group of 6. We were looking forward to patronizing the establishment, as we had researched it prior to our visit to Scottsdale. Would not recommend.

William B.

Yelp
Excellent wine. Highly recommend First time in and was very impressed with service and wine quality.
google avatar

Colleen L.

Yelp
Was a great night being loved up by my girls for my birthday but this place has a lot more evolving to do! Would have been great to come out and serve our flights of wine, selection of food was expensive and lack luster. when the cheese tray arrived on a paper plate with a less then marginal helping at 18.00 we all started to laugh. There Really wasn't much of an ambience within this tiny space and patio... The concept is great but they need to look around and see what would separate them from all the other Local competition they have. I would not likely go back again...
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Stopped by for a tasting and the service and wine were both impeccable. We asked to sit outside, which was comfortable due to the misters even on a 100 degree day. We have tried their wine before, so our server let us taste her favorite wine (the 2016 syrah) for free. The wine was delicious, but we decided to try the Grenache and the Signature (petite Sirah) instead. Both were delicious and we'd highly recommend them. LDV is a great spot for a relaxing afternoon with good wine.

Lois K.

Yelp
Amazing wine. Our favorite Signature Petite Sirah. Service was friendly and informative. Love it!!!

Yelp
$12 for 5 tastes?! Thank goodness I stumbled in here one day. My curiosity had been festering for years. Every time I was in the area, I thought how lovely it was that there was a winery. Why I waited so long is beyond me. Peggy, the owner, is an absolute delight. Truly one of the nicest people you'll meet. She is extremely accommodating and cares for her guests as if you were in her home. My first question was whether or not their wine was vegan. It may seem like a weird question to some, but most wines use refining agents or fillers that are derived from animal products. Thankfully, Peggy said that all LDV wines are vegan. This means that LDV truly honors the process of creating wine without taking the easy route. My favorite was their 2012 "Signature Petit Sirah". I am a huge fan of Petit Sirah and their entire tasting menu was flourishing with them. I cannot wait to go back with girlfriends or for a painting class. They have a lovely garden that would be perfect for a date. Now one of my favorite treat-yo'self places in town. Even if you're in town alone, grab a book and head on over. You won't feel uncomfortable not going with a group.
