The 16 Best Restaurants In Palermo - Palermo - The Infatuation

"The recipes for everything down to the desserts at this warm, stylish, women-owned Sicilian bistro come from small towns in the region of Sicily. That means you might find salamureci gazpacho or couscous from Trapani, casatelle di Montevago, ricotta gelato-filled bacio pantesco, and semolina-filled mostaccioli—all recipes that the chef learned about while traveling and cooking with elderly locals. Le Angeliche is hidden on a backstreet in the Mercato del Capo, and you won’t stumble upon it unless you’re looking. Once you’re there, grab a seat inside or out back in the secret shaded garden. There’s a full selection of natural wines, plus non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, and homemade sweets from their pastry lab around the corner." - linda sarris

On a small alleyway behind the chaotic Capo Market is Le Angeliche, a modern, sophisticated Sicilian bistro run by four women. There is a charming garden area in the back as well as a beautiful intimate dining room indoors. My friends and I had a fabulous, long, leisurely lunch. Here’s what we ate: We started with: . Albacore carpaccio with roasted peaches, fresh ricotta with honey . Roast cauliflower with caciocavallo fondue . Seafood salad with avocado cream For mains: . Lasagna with pumpkin ragù, mushrooms, sausage, caciocavallo fondue, and toasted pumpkin seeds . Fried sea bass with a broad bean salad & herbed tzatziki . Beef tartar with potatoes gratinate A perfect afternoon, despite the rain!

Superb. Sophisticated but unpretentious food, using the freshest seasonal ingredients. The service is warm, knowledgeable and helpful while the setting is relaxed and comfortable. Do inspect the special seasonal menu for delightful treats. My marinated fresh anchovies served on panelle with candied orange was sensational, the sweet/sour orange working beautifully with the fish, a wonder with every mouthful.

What an incredible disappointment- while beautifully prepared the food we ate was extremely bland despite each dish having multiple exotic ingredients. The small portions wouldn’t have bothered me if the food was even remotely interesting- I can’t remember a time I spent that much on so little food and still left a bunch on our plates because it just didn’t taste good. The crusted sea bass with mozzarella tasted like a bad fish stick. We spent less than half that today on an overpriced stand in Capo market and it was way way better.

Hidden in a small ally. Tasty, modernized and curated Italian food (less traditional). It was nice to sit in the back yard and enjoy the quietness and breeze. Although occasionally tiny insects might land into the dish and water. (It was 40 euro for me)

Our first stop in Palermo straight from the airport. We were still jet lagged so we were a little dizzy. But this small venue is super charming, the staff were very helping and dear. The food was cooked by someone who definitely knows how to express feelings though meals, we had a wonderful peaches with mascarpone for primo piati and two wonderfully made pasta. The DIY tiramisu was surprisingly delicious, and the whine was perfectly chilled. Would definitely recommend. 110 euro + 10% tip for two people food + wine

Hidden in a small ally is this adorable little restaurant. We sat outside in the back patio that felt like we were eating in a small mini garden, string lights and cute tables. All of the dishes are unique. Personal favorite was the mackerel on top of the caponata, savory with a bit of sweetness. The ravioli with pistacchio was also a great share at the table
