"My favorite lunch spot is Le Angeliche, a female-owned restaurant with a secret garden, tucked away in the middle of the Capo Market. Ask for a table outside and enjoy beautifully presented pastas, fish, and other dishes made with fresh vegetables and herbs from the market." - Laura Itzkowitz Laura Itzkowitz Laura Itzkowitz is a freelance writer and editor based in Rome. "The recipes for everything down to the desserts at this warm, stylish, women-owned Sicilian bistro come from small towns in the region of Sicily. That means you'll find salamureci gazpacho or couscous from Trapani, casatelle di Montevago, ricotta gelato-filled bacio pantesco, and semolina-filled mustaccioli that the chef learned about while traveling and cooking with elderly locals. Le Angeliche is hidden on a backstreet in the Mercato del Capo, and you won’t stumble upon it unless you’re looking. Once you’re there, grab a seat inside or out back in the secret shaded garden. There’s a full selection of natural wines, plus non-alcoholic drinks, coffee, and homemade sweets." - linda sarris

Hidden in a small ally. Tasty, modernized and curated Italian food (less traditional). It was nice to sit in the back yard and enjoy the quietness and breeze. Although occasionally tiny insects might land into the dish and water. (It was 40 euro for me)

Love the outdoor garden and service was good. Mackerel appetizer was excellent! Keep in mind that if you sit outdoors, you may be surrounded by smokers.

This was probably our most expensive meal in our 3 week tour of Sicily. The restaurant had been recommended by our host and was within easy walking distance of our accommodation. From the outside, it looked interesting. We got a seat outside and to be honest, the menu (especially for vegetarians) was a bit limited. While the food was satisfactory, it's arguable as to whether it merited such a high price tag. Disappointing,

A beautiful restaurant with an outdoor patio which is very pleasant. The menu is small but the food is quite good. The pasta is great.

Phenomenal. Tried multiple dishes, the red pumpkin lasagna and tuna crudo were the stand outs. Great service from everyone, all spoke great English if that is a concern. Trust their recommendations.

The atmosphere of the restaurant and the team is amazing! So cozy, nice, like we were in the Italian yard. The food is really good. We tasted carpaccio with prosciutto, melon and ruccola (seasoned with olive oil of good quality) and also tortelloni with fresh shrimps and ricotta. The cocktail was good as well! I liked the colours of the restaurant, the plates and even the napkins with flowers complemented our evening in such a romantic way🫶🏼 Bravoo🇮🇹🤍💞

Wonderful restaurant in Palermo. The flavours were fresh and very seasonal, and the couscous was the best I’ve ever eaten. The staff were really friendly and we had delightful conversations with our waiter about the philosophy of positive thinking and learning languages. The restaurant is tucked away in a side street, but well worth seeking out if you want an authentic Sicilian meal. A big thank you to Le Angeliche. It was a pleasure to dine with you.

Relaxing and cozy atmosphere. High quality ingredients, fresh house made bread. They even have house made gluten free bread, the best I’ve tried in Sicily! Professional service , creative seasonal menu. Highly recommend.
