Economic wizardry notwithstanding, the dish is simple French cooking at its finest. The crisp-skinned chicken is perfectly paired with golden frites ideal for dragging through the pool of herbaceous jus. Skip the sad appetizers to ensure you’re able to obey the owner’s remonstration—he's ready to scold anyone who doesn’t join the clean-plate club. We had a wonderful lunch here. The chicken and fries were tasty and unbelievable value. The lemon meringue pie was incredible. The best I’ve ever had. Lunch was amazing and very good value. I wish I could return. There are some bad reviews here related to not speaking English. I don’t understand- you are visiting France! If you are polite and make an effort to use a bit of French (even use Google Translate) you will not have any problems. The staff and professional and friendly if you try.

My partner saw this place thanks to Mac DeMarco and wanted to be here. Thanks to him, we were able to enjoy the delicious chicken, fries and gravy just for €6.86! The service was very fast, the place is very small and it is very busy, but we enjoyed our quick bite at this cozy place.

Absolutely loved this place. Such a warm and wonderful atmosphere, incredibly friendly hosts who helped us understand what was on the menu even through the language barrier. Food was delicious and lovingly made. I recommend the poulet frites and the fresh orange juice and the lemon meringue tarte with coffee. We will certainly be back!

Tasty, fresh and affordable, poulet frites €6.86 price has never changed. They don’t speak much English so be prepared for that. Good for a quiet dine. Too good we started eating before the camera did🤣 the sauce was also good, tangy and vinegary.

Local restaurant with the feel of home. Although they don’t speak much English, they did their best to accommodate me and my family. They made sure I ate properly, insisting that I wait till after lunch to have my chocolat chaud with dessert, because that’s proper. The poulet frite was good, but not the best I’ve had in Paris. The lemon meringue pie was great! The ambiance and service made it worth the trip. The price for 5 plates, 2 desserts, and 1 hot chocolate was €50.

Got my curiosity from the socmed and it was about underrated restaurant hidden in paris. The chicken and fries was the best home cooking. I had 2 plates! It was amazing and the dessert was home made. If you want a place where home cooking are served with love, this is one of the Gem. The owner will be the one who will served you in personally. Madam is so charming entertaining every customers. They have their own selection of wines. It’s full packed of local eaters and this place is highly recommended.

Highly recommended by friends been coming here for years. The l'emblématique poulet fermier rôti, accompagné de ses frites maison is a must. Fresh ingredients, simple homemade dish from the original secret recipes. The Lavazza coffee is also one of the best I've had in a while. Spectacular wines as well. They open at noon. I came on a Saturday around 12:20pm and there was already a line though they do take reservations. The owners are extremely friendly and make sure you feel like home.
