Le Bilboquet Outremont

I have loved this ice cream place since arriving to Montreal three years ago. We come here at least once a week and we miss it during the winter breaks. Today, we came for ice cream dessert to celebrate the birthday of a good friend. Best place to do so! Good atmosphere, amazing service and, of course the best ice creams of Montreal. A must-stop every time I go to Montreal. The ice creams and the sorbets are excellent, and soooo many flavours to choose from! The shop itself is super-cute, with a decent amount of outside seating so you can sit down and enjoy. On nice days there’s usually a line up, but it moves quickly. Today’s choices were a rich and fudgy 50% chocolate ice cream and a very refreshing pear sorbet. Perfection.

This place is great, we went to Damas a few blocks away and then walked here for dessert. The staff is very helpful and kind. No complaints!

Milkshake is more milk than Ice cream. I asked if they could add more ice cream and it came back with the same ratio. $9 cup of milk :/ Another time in winter I went close to close, and they allowed me to wait in line all the way until I got to the front only to tell me they were closed once I got to the counter with still 10 minutes left before close. The store was quiet and I was the last person in line at that point. I don't know why they didn't say something before letting me wait in line, they saw me come in and had plenty of time to tell me. Do the managers not pay them to clean up after close? One of the orange sorbets tastes like the orange concentrate from the can at the grocery store. I think this shows they aren't skimping on flavor for this one but it is really hard to eat. I've tried the vegan ice cream flavors and they are decent but often they run out without marking it on the board. Unfortunate after waiting in a long line for a flavor that isn't there. Too many bad experiences for the price. I won't be coming back at this point.

Delicious ice cream! 🍦 The line is Worth it. They have the tables outside to eat. Plenty of flavors to choose, and they also have ice cakes. I love they are open until late in night !!

A true staple of the Bernard vibe. Bilboquet has been around for decades serving good quality homemade ice cream. Despite changes in owners and management, still maintains its charm.

Way fewer ice cream options than many years ago but they totally renovated the inside and the place is as busy as ever. They also have a few vegan options now which is great! The vanilla raspberry is still my fave pick!

The service and ice cream are consistently good. The flavours are pretty standard so if you're keen on something 'different', new or experimental, this is the wrong parlour. Be prepared to wait during the summer months particularly during the evening hours.
