"Opposite the old port, the chef-patron gives free rein to his abundant creativity and his passion for fish and seafood: the tasting menu ("Plongée en plusieurs paliers") is a veritable ode to the sea, with dishes such as sea urchins with grapefruit and spirulina served as a dessert. The produce is remarkably fresh, the cooking is skilful and the risk-taking is constant: this is a restaurant that stands out from the crowd!" - Michelin Inspector

I love everything about this restaurant. The food. The staff. The view. They made one of the best lobsters I have had all my life. Yummm. Check them out if you are in this part of Nice.

The whole atmosphere and clima is just as you can imagine when it's about the Mediterranean and French Riviera. The seabass with Corsican sausage just magnificent. The staff first class. The Chef real Ratatouille🥳 From Poland with love💪

Had a lovely dinner tonight with my husband. The food was fresh and the service was impeccable! We enjoyed grilled octopus and sea bass. 10/10! Chef José checked in multiple times to ensure that we enjoyed our food, and he helped with making good recommendations. We also enjoyed great customer service from Uini and Charl. Uini was very pleasant and took good care of us. If you’re looking for a great culinary experience in Nice, be sure to visit this restaurant!

Google
This bistro in Nice near the port quickly became one of our favorite dining experiences in France. The menu changes daily based on the freshest catch, and it truly shows—every dish felt like a special discovery. The fish soup, in particular, was the best I’ve ever had—rich, perfectly cooked, and deeply comforting.

This place was spectacular!!! Probably one of the best meals of my life. Every course knocked it out of the park (fresh local anchovies, charred octopus, salt-baked sea bass, real truffle-oil arugula salad, creme brule). The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and eager to please. Our meal ended with complementary limoncello (which was also spectacular). A 5 star dining experience Also - Nice is not known for shellfish. Mussels are imported in. This region is known for its fish, which comes into the harbor right across from the restaurant. Don't go anywhere else!

This is an absolute must eat door diner restaurant. Don’t be afraid… get the fish for two. It’s the best item on the menu and even non-fish lovers will appreciate and enjoy its deliciousness. I want to go back to Nice just for this fish.

Google
Le Bistrot du Por offers a fantastic dining experience with absolutely delicious food! Despite not having booked a table, the staff were incredibly accommodating and ensured we were seated. We started with the prawns & anchovies, which were delightful, and for mains, I enjoyed the Angus while my family had the cod and risotto - all dishes were exceptional. The service was second to none, and it was a fantastic touch that the head chef came to speak to every guest. We will definitely revisit Le Bistrot du Por when we return to Nice!

Yelp
An amazing meal-not to be missed! Lovely view of the port, great wine list, lovely servers in a charming restaurant! Everything sounded so great that we had trouble deciding! We started with eggplant caviar with Burrata made on site. Then we had cod with white beans and Corsican sausage & the local red mullet with crispy risotto. For dessert we had the grilled fogs with pistachio ice cream-wow. Seriously, you need to try this restaurant !

Yelp
Set in a dazzling setting but not the reason one should go there . You should go there if you are tired of the touristic traps that litter this town. The food is ingenious, fresh and amazing. I felt transported to new heights, my taste buds heightened at each bites. This place is called a Bistro but don't let that fool you - it's five star all the way

Yelp
Staff was friendly. Romen (waiter) was on the move. He did not stop trying to please. My hubby was drinking tap beer and when the tap broke he went next door to get him a beer- he came back with 2 diff flavors hubby does not drink. So he offered him glass of red wine on house. VERY nice! Now the food- it was exquisite! We got spoon burrata and artichoke appetizers and shared the bouillabaisse. Plenty of food for two of us and was most delish! Authentic bouillabaisse and unique apps. Oh- I can not leave out the most heavenly crème brûlée! Would def go back When I'm Nice again. I notice not many reviews on this place but it will NOT disappoint. Secret gem I am so glad we found. Actually our Viator guide recommended it. Go early or make reservation. It fills up and people were being turned away. Apparently once you are in people linger and now I see

Yelp
One of the best meals we had on our travels through the Riviera and the staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. The fish was fresh and delicately prepared, the bouillabaisse outstanding... great cheeses and a great wine list.

Yelp
Fantastic quality food, very friendly. Very authentic cooking and experience. I had a hard time figuring out how to get a reservation but we didn't need one and had not problem sitting water front. The menu is what they have on the chalk board, there are many decadent options but if you're somewhat of a picky eater this place may not be for you. If you do go, you must get the lava cake. I call it a must go.

Yelp
We sat outside and that could get a little loud and you smelled the exhaust of the passing cars and motorcycles. But the sight made up for most of that. Seeing a can of Raineri olive oil on the table was pleasant. Started with soft scrambled eggs with shaved truffle. I thought truffles were out of season but our server asked about them and told us that they were the last of the summer. This was a 5 star dish, the eggs loose and creamy, perfectly cooked. I suspect a touch of truffle oil may have been used to reinforce the flavor, but the shaved truffles on top were generously applied. The bread was excellent and it was an excellent experience dipping it with the excellent olive oil. My porgy was not a large portion but it was properly pan seared and placed on top of well cooked fresh porcini and carrots. The brown pan sauce was decent if unremarkable. The date's mixed seafood grill was...mixed. There was one shrimp, mashed potatoes, arugula dressed with truffle oil, and decent pieces of grilled fish (at least two kinds). Very good as a whole but maybe not as generous as its price. That would be true of the entire meal. A bit too much for a bit too little. 3.5 stars rounded up - barely rounded up, but those scrambled eggs made the difference.

Yelp
This has been the second time I've gone to this restaurant. This time I went there with my family. All of us enjoyed the diner. Everything was excellent. The foie gras was wonderful. Large portion of black truffles on my scrambled. Fishes were perfectly cooked. The Chef has found the right balance between creativity, authenticity and simplicity.

Yelp
Owner Chef Jose greeted us and took care of us all evening. Kid Royal was perfect. The lobster salad could have been a meal in itself. Lobster was Sweet and tender. Salad underneath had loads of flavor. Also had the boullibase which was quite good. Even brought tiny croutons that you rubbed with a clove of garlic, topped with a garlic cream sauce and soaked in the soup before topping with shredded cheese. Service was excellent.everything came hot and with a lot of flavor.

Yelp
Calamari salad was just excellent and two fish dishes we had were just mind blowing. The best thing about this place is that this restaurant opens on Sundays! If you are a fish-lover, you will like this place.
