Le Bordelais

We were in Montreal for the F1 race and were looking for a place to have dinner. We found this on Google, and since most of the reviews were positive, we decided to go. The exterior was not so inviting. However, when we went inside, it was fantastic. Of course, we felt that we weren't dressed properly, but that didn't seem to matter. The service was outstanding, the food was very delicious, and the portions were just enough. And of course, the prices were quite acceptable. It is a beautiful place to have a nice dinner with your significant other or family. It's definitely worth another visit the next time we are in Montreal.

We enjoyed our Valentine's dinner here. Lots of parking space here. Our meal came with squash soup, warm bread, a Kit Royal drink and a dessert. We took the lamb with veggies for 2 people, got it medium-rare. It was delicious! The DJ was creating a nice ambiance, the lighting was dimmed and there was a candle on the table. The interior looks a bit like a reception hall, so keep that in mind. There's also a little dancefloor for people to dance if they want to. We would totally go back!

I had a wonderful lunch with my business partner. From salad to deserts. Every is very fresh and tasty, creative!! Just love it!

Amazing Dining Experience at Restaurant Le Bordelais I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Le Bordelais with family friends, and it was an unforgettable experience. We started with the escargots, which were simply the best in town—perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the fish, which was cooked to perfection and served with fresh vegetables and rice. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and they often have live music during dinner, which adds to the charm of the evening. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience!

Le Bordelais is a true Montreal gem. It's the pinnacle of fine cuisine—honestly, I can't think of a better place to dine. The food tastes like it’s straight from heaven. The service and ambiance exude warmth and understated elegance, creating an experience that feels both refined and inviting. I was completely captivated by this severely underrated spot. I had the lamb, which was cooked to absolute perfection, followed by a crème brûlée so delicious it left me craving more with every bite. This place has officially become a weekly ritual.

Came for a business lunch to le bordelais after a freind refferal Newly renovated place the decor is slick and fresh I order the lamb shank it was excellent my partner had the filet mignon was tender he did not need a knif paracticly ,nice ambiance Greg the waiter was professional with exellent service For sure We will comeback and bring the office staff it was worth the visit Thank you for the experience

Way to expensive for the food. The staff doesn’t know much. Total disappointment for the food. Very blend, no taste, extremely small portions. Will not go back there

Outstanding service and good. Salmon was delicious and probably the best value in town for a fine dining experience.

below average. sauces tasted like they were from a package. advertised salmon with hollandaise. it didn't come with the sauce. our waiter said the chef had been in the hospital 4 months and we don't know how to make hollandaise !!! WHAT? had he said that when we were ordering our meal we could make a different choice but he just expected us to say " oh ok!". what restaurant sells salmon with hollandaise and doesn't have a chef who can make the hollandaise we were given a choice of soup or salad. my son said could he have a Caesar. the waiter never said oh that will be an additional $7.95 plus tax! they charged us for 3 Caesar's extra but never even offered the soup since we were paying for it. on the menu it's $6.85 for house $7.95 for caesar so if he added $3.00 we would have been fine but the waiter never said a word. waited for my sons bday cake. usually a restaurant comps the birthday person. they charged $50.00 for melted icecream cake! if they were charging they should have asked ys what we wanted AFTER serving the birthday boy. totally unprofessional! waste of money! maybe it was good in its day but without a proper cook and wait staff a restaurant can't function we would have enjoyed arachova more than this place which has the nerve to call themselves a fine dining experience

I think I was expecting so much more than what was given. The restaurant had a pungent smell of residual food - and the plates themselves are not so generous and out of this world in for the price point proposed. I ordered a braised beef stew and it could've been warmer, there was one sprig of asparagus just to say there was a medley of vegetables, the entree was a simple garden salad - dressing was good. My father ordered a shrimp and scallop platter with 5 shrimp and 3 scallops on a bed of rice... just not generous at all. Honestly - not the best dining experience as there are not many choices and I believe that the decor and ambiance is for an older crowd. I really can't give more than 2 stars as the place just gives off a better impression than what it really is. The waiter was nice though.

This place caught my eye by it's nice sign and exterior facade so I was very interested to try it! The location is great for summer since theres a trail to walk on right besides the water. When I walked in I found the interior a bit outdated however the service was amazing! Very courteous and attentive waiter we had. When we got our food we took the "table d'hôte" that was honestly not worth the trip , I ordered the salmon with hollandaise sauce and was disappointed by how basic and minimal it was. The entrees we had ordered to share were better tho , escargot and beef tartare. I wouldn't personally go back to this place but I feel it caters more to an older crowd and maybe I was out of place on my gastronomic adventure.

For New Year's Eve celebration,we made reservations with friends as in previous years. However,we were extremely disappointed this year. My entree was inedible. Service left a lot to be desired. By 11:56 pm, champagne had not yet been served to our table. Had to ask the server who seemed annoyed. Perhaps if servers had not been imbibing shot after shot during the evening,we would have been better cared for. Music was too loud---had to scream to be heard.Many people left before 12 or shortly after.Having to write this review is unfortunate because Le Bordelas was one of our favorite restaurants that we would go to regularly. But in 2010 ???????
