Le Burgundy

"If location is everything, this 59-room beauty, born from a nondescript hotel on the same site, lords it over other new small hotels in Paris with an unbeatable address midway between the Place de la Concorde and the Madeleine, with Chanel’s flagship boutique around the corner. Indeed, this establishment is a bona fide baby grand that’s able to give even such grande dames as the Ritz and the Hôtel de Crillon a run for their money. Though the front desk staff are wiltingly prim, you’ll love the quiet contemporary chic of this place the moment you enter one of the dove-gray or cream rooms with crown moldings, chocolate brown wall-to-wall carpeting, good modern art on the walls, and ivory, oyster, black, and charcoal accents. Chrome-plated campaign desks and night tables, beds piled high with feather pillows, sleek Art Deco–style glass table and floor lamps, thick damask curtains, and spacious bathrooms floored in limestone make these exceptionally comfortable, urbane nests. There’s also a small spa with a beautiful swimming pool, hammam, and sauna; a terrific bar with stylized Art Deco decor; and a seriously good contemporary French restaurant with, appropriately, a great list of Burgundies."

Le Burgundy Paris, a Design Boutique Hotel Paris, France

"The Burgundy is a smart luxury hotel in the heart of Paris. As soon as you enter this high end hotel you get a sense of grandeur. You can’t help but marvel as the light pours in through the huge pyramid skylights of the ceiling. Admire the beautiful modern freestanding marble sculpture which only adds to the magnificence, and find your reflection in the floors which are polished to perfection. Rooms are glamorous, lavish and splendid, though there are hints of neutral tones, the Burgundy has more of a regal feel with jewel coloured furniture, reds, greens and gold’s make for a striking contrast and each room exudes majesty and sophistication. The hotel is a short distance from Place de la Concorde, one of the major public squares in the city with its striking architecture, ornate fountains and towering Pont de la Concorde. This is the perfect area for art lovers, and the bustling Champs- Élysées is also just minutes away. The hotel has a fantastic Michelin starred restaurant giving you the best in traditional French cuisine and the quiet patio is perfect for doing like the French do and dining outside. The bar is a dark and sumptuous space with regal navy velvet chairs, polished black tables and delicate candle lights. It is known as “The Baudelaire”, due to the fresco by Marco del Re, which is magnificently painted on the ceiling. The fresco pays tribute to the verses of the “Flowers of Evil” and adds to the heady and luxurious atmosphere. Here you can sit back in the comfortable chairs and unwind after soaking up the sights of Paris with a delicious glass of French wine, or flavoursome cocktail." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Le Burgundy (Paris, Île-de-France) 17 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It’s rare in any city, and especially in Paris, that a new hotel immediately becomes an instant classic. In the case of Le Burgundy, however, it’s not at all out of the question. Though more modest in size than some of the big-name grand hotels — the Burgundy is just 59 rooms — it’s scarcely any less luxurious, and its location is ideal for both cultural and commercial purposes, close by not only to many of the major sights but to some of the planet’s finest high-end shopping as well." - Tablet Hotels

This hotel met all expectations The welcome on arrival was friendly and welcoming. The deluxe room was spacious, spotless and quiet with great amenities, décor and the bed was so comfortable with crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options and fresh eggs on order was a nice touch! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. The pool was great with a few beds to relax after a nice swim. The location was fantastic with a short walk or taxi ride. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

I don't often write reviews but in this case it is well warranted. My wife and I have stayed at several larger 5 star hotels and have had mostly great experiences. In all honesty, this was one of our favorite experiences. The doormen were personal, kind, spoke english and gave us that personal touch, even remembering us and our preferences. The check in was quick and meticulous. We were shown to our room and were given a tour of the amenities and before we were done being shown the room, our luggage was delivered. The only hiccup we had, was my fault, spilling champagne on the floor. The staff immediately dispensed a maid with a carpet cleaner who was kind and gracious. ||||The room we stayed in was room 108, one of the two rooms with a garden walk out. This space absolutely made our stay in Paris as we were able to enjoy a spacious and quiet space to ourselves when we were tired of the hustle and bustle of the city. It even featured a retractable awning that enclosed the majority of the space giving us privacy from the overlooking rooms. The bed was incredibly comfortable with high end sheets and pillows. The location felt private, located on a quiet side street while still being within a block of all of the high end shopping as well as several great cafes. Lastly, the bar area and lounge offered elevated dining and cocktail experiences in a quaint but high end setting. We felt like royalty during our entire stay and I have no regrets about choosing this establishment. We will be back in the future. Thank you to all who made our vacation one of the most memorable to date.

Our stay at Le Burgundy Paris was exceptional. Our two connecting rooms were beautiful and spacious, with showers offering great hot water and strong pressure. Breakfast was delicious, featuring a continental buffet and one hot dish made-to-order. We had quiet, courtyard-facing rooms, and slept very well. The hotel location was excellent, walkable to many locations. And most of all, the staff were truly the best, always welcoming and helpful, making us feel genuinely at home. Highly recommend!|

Le Burgundy's entire team is exceptional. Their five-star service began at the time of booking and continued until our day of departure. We were so grateful for their wonderful advice and gracious assistance. The entire staff made us feel known and special with warm, personal greetings each day. My daughter and I truly appreciated your unexpected and generous gift of champagne and sweets in honor of my big 75th birthday. Le Burgundy is a beautiful property. This, along with its excellent service, sets it apart from other 5-star properties in Paris. We look forward to staying at Le Burgundy again soon!

We arrived 7am after 17hr flight. |Staff were amazing throughout our entire stay. They made our stay so special. We were allowed to store luggage and use hotel pool, spa, sauna, hammam and pre book a massage treatment. Everything was fabulous. Once checked into room 303 we loved the room and the bed and the divine welcome chocolates and complimentary drinks. Breakfast was superb and had everything you could want. In fact we both had only continental breakfast as there was no need for a cooked breakfast. Good coffee. Highly recommend this hotel for its location. Perfect for our short stay as most things were within a 15min walk. Eiffel Tower being slightly further away. Lots of big brands nextdoor and very close by. We had beautiful 30c weather and the next day rain. Staff provided umbrellas and hot coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and feel we will be comparing all our other hotels to this standard. Thanks Le Burgundy.

Truly the best concierge experience of my life! Anne and Axel went above and beyond to make everything seamless and unforgettable. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail set a new standard of excellence. Highly recommend!

Google
We loved our stay here. The hotel is quaint and beautifully appointed. The only reason we gave Services a lower score was because the gym is too small and we need to work out on our trips.

I generally don’t write reviews but LeBurgundy Hotel deserves merit. I travelled to Paris with my two college aged kids. I reserved 2 rooms. There was a hiccup with one of the room reservations;|I booked my reservation at the last minute and requested a twin bedded room. Unfortunately the hotel was filled to capacity. and they only had single bedded rooms available. After expressing my dismay to the front desk, Zara (front desk) bent over backwards and did her magic and was able accommodate our needs. ||My family and I are from New York .We are world travelers, very pick and harsh critics. |I can honestly say that when I see a staff member, like Zara work so to accommodate a guest,|like myself, I not only grateful but thoroughly impressed. ||Thank you LeBurgundy!

Yelp
These people seem to be working hard to gain a Michelin star. Service is professional, restaurant is nice and food is good. Good, but not memorable.

Yelp
Exquisite meal! We had a group of 8 and came here for my mom's birthday. Did the full tasting menu. They customized the wine pairings to our tastes and (importantly), our desired budget range. Remi, the head sommelier, could not have been more lovely and accommodating - and he chose some fabulous wines!!! The food was well portioned - not teensy tiny, so you could enjoy several delectable bites, but not large, so you could still actually enjoy each course. One in our party had food preferences, and the chef was so kind as to make a different dish or two for her (which he, of course, did not have to do). We were not rushed at all - dinner ended up lasting 5 hours! Remi even had us try a little older tawny port at the end because we had mentioned earlier that we enjoy that. All in all, if you're looking for a blow out type of fancy dinner, this is absolutely worth the money.

Yelp
A splendid evening with friends, thanks to the amazing creativity and presentation of the food, its delightfully light but intense flavors and textures, the quiet and comfort of the seating, and the sommelier's warmth and his sharing of his knowledge and unusual passion for his métier. The perfection of the entire experience put us all in top spirits, making us enjoy our friendships all the more! Compared to other Michelin-starred meals we have had, we would certainly give this at least two stars, not just one.

Yelp
The four of us all had a good to excellent meal. The only complaint was the fish with was a disappointment. The other dishes, including the lamb were tasty with a nice side of vegetables. The desserts were excellent. We tried them all.

Yelp
Was a great first experience at a michelin-starred restaurant! The level of service and quality of food definitely lived up to my expectations and the little complimentary appetizers and bites that the chef prepared were excellently done. In my opinion, some of the food they prepared had some Asian influences (stemming from an Asian family myself) and I personally liked it alot because I've not had Asian food in a really long time as I am studying abroad. The dining setting was really cosy and according to my mom, they actually renovated it not too long ago - there's an outside seating area/garden with pretty fairy lights hanging from the tree which would be a romantic and unique location to dine if it isn't raining/too cold. The menus catered to different budgets and of course, expect the prices to be more than your average restaurants. However, it is definitely worth a try and just take note that the entire table has to get the same menu - in my case I couldn't get the menu with more courses (7 courses) because my mom isn't a big eater and therefore would require me to help her with her food.

Yelp
This restaurant is tucked inside the Le Burgundy hotel. Beautiful art decor. It's definitely 4-5 star restaurant. The staff and service was good. The food was good but didn't hold upto a 4-5 standard the night we ate. We expected a little better tasting after reading some reviews and talking to the staff. It's what you'd expect from a restaurant like this small portions but very decorative and very pricey compared to the portions. We weren't disappointed but we weren't blown away either.

Yelp
Tried this place on the 14th of July, ahead if the fireworks. They didn't happen on the plate. 2 out of 5 plates were undercooked, and while the service was great (expected), the food fell short. I have an issue with commanding that price and less than stellar cooking. Amuses bouches were the best part of the meal...that says it all. As a French, I left disappointed and would not recommend.

Yelp
A great restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday tucked into the Burgundy Hotel off of Rue Saint-Honore. We had the tasting menu with wine parings which was expensive, but we knew what we were getting. We very much enjoyed the restaurant on the 3 principles that we look for: 1) good source ingredients in season. Although some were from a bit further from Paris, the ingredients were very fresh and beautiful especially the autumn vegetables as a salad and to accompany the beef. 2) creative and well presented cuisine. The food was very creative with unique food pairings and mostly in balance. The only exception a slight imbalance to my palate on the scallop with squid ink and lemon foam as the squid ink and lemon were both a bit strong; but that is a minor nit as the other 8 courses were so lovely! 3) service. The service was a little hectic as the waitstaff seemed a bit understaffed for a Michelin 1 star, but over all this was a very enjoyable meal and definitely in our top ten among the meals we have had in our 4 long visits to Paris since 2005. I recommend the restaurant for those comfortable with the price for a very good meal.
