"This authentic neighbourhood institution, decked in an understated façade, has been going strong for over 30 years in a relatively little-known part of Croix Rousse. A warm vibe with a retro feel sets the scene courtesy of a Formica bar, vintage wallpaper and a quirky collection of old clocks and other paraphernalia. Chef Junzo Matsuno deftly crafts polished traditional Gallic fare, to which he may add the odd low-key Japanese twist, together with a strong focus on veggies (which he grows himself). The lunch menu is a steal." - Michelin Inspector

Service was kind, and the food was excellent. We each preferred different dishes, but agreed that they were all tasty. The veal was 👌🏻, and the dessert was perfect for sharing. Our waiter was great at engaging us and gave some recs

A delightful experience of fusion french cuisine with a touch of japanese. Classic dishes like escargots mixed with surprising tastes like burnt corn, veal cutlets uplifted with chorizo vinaigrette or beef tataki with shizo leafs. An absolutely delicious experience!

It’s a great discovery from the decoration until the dessert, every dish is beyond expectation, you can tell the chef is talented and creative between local specialities and exotic ingredients. Price is reasonable, personnel is welcoming and passionate, a wonderful night! More than in Michelin starred!

Yelp
Great lunch spot near the silk museum. Can't remember what we ordered, but everything was great. In true french fashion we waited for our check for quite some time as they did not want to rush us.

Yelp
My new favorite restaurant in Lyon. It calls itself a Bouchon but it's not. A Bouchon serves the same 8 things every time. This restaurant had none of those things. This is a gastronomic restaurant serving French food with a Japanese chef (and some Asian helpers in the kitchen).
Everything here was wonderful. The duckling 'la cannette' was the best duck I have had in my life - a little more sauce and it would have been perfection. The cold mushroom and beef soup was superb as was my octopus. Every other table seemed to be ordering a pork fillet so we will try that next time.
The red wine we ordered for around 25 euros was excellent. Service was so good, I wasn't sure if they were French at first.

Yelp
Great little French restaurant with a clock obsession. The food was amazing but the service was even better. We had filled ourselves up with starters & main and wanted a light dessert so we got the bill....then we got dessert envy so decided to stay. It was all such a treat. Gorgeous place which is worth the visit

Yelp
One of our favourite restaurants in Lyon. The decor is great and the atmosphere laid back and unpretentious despite the restaurant being on the more expensive side. I'm a vegetarian, so I judge restaurants by their willingness to come up with a decent vegetarian dish for me since French restaurant very rarely have any on their regular menu. The apéritif maison is delicious, the wine menu is extensive. Last time we went, we opted for a bottle of the less expensive Croze Hermitage, which was very good. The service was very friendly and accomodating. We went with English-speaking friends and the waitresses made a serious effort to translate the menu for them and took the time to explain the dishes although it was a busy Friday night. My veggie dish was lovely and creative and went well with the fancy mac & cheese (that funnily is actually on the menu). My friends loved their rumpsteak and filet mignon. The pistachio crême brulée was very good. Only four stars because they have no vegetarian dish on their menu. We'll still be back.
