Le Chiberta

"Guy Savoy’s Chiberta sports a black colour scheme and has adopted wine as its symbol and inventiveness as its guiding precept. The softly lit, swish, understated interior by Jean-Michel Wilmotte is refreshingly and fashionably minimalist. Its most eye-catching feature is a stunning “vertical wine cellar” which boasts a whopper selection of Burgundy and Bordeaux tipples that adorn the walls like rare books in a library. The culinary score adds a modern twist to tradition, whilst respecting the seasons. Tasting menus (on themes such as truffles and caviar) and food-wine pairings." - Michelin Inspector

The MICHELIN Star Restaurants Along the Paris Metro’s Line 1

"Helmed by Guy Savoy, this restaurant has an eye-catching 'vertical wine cellar' and boasts a terrific selection with a penchant for burgundy and bordeaux, which adorn the walls like books in a library. The cooking of Chef Irwin Durand (who trained with Joël Robuchon and Bernard Loiseau), overseen by 'the boss' Savoy, puts a modern spin on traditional dishes such as pike quenelle, suckling pig and calf’s head." - The MICHELIN Guide

A Culinary Symphony at La Chiberta: An Unforgettable Journey Through French Artistry Dining at La Chiberta is not merely a meal—it’s an exquisite narrative of flavors, textures, and seasonal poetry. Priced at €145 per person, their Signature Tasting Menu is a masterclass in refined French cuisine, celebrating regional ingredients and innovative techniques. Designed for communal enjoyment, this six-course odyssey left our table in awe, each dish a testament to the chef’s visionary craft. 1. Green Asparagus from Roques-Hautes The evening began with a burst of spring: tender green asparagus, steamed to perfection with aromatic herbs, rested alongside velvety burrata and zesty citrus. Light yet deeply flavorful, this opener was a vibrant homage to Provence’s terroir, setting a tone of freshness and elegance. 2. Duck Foie Gras in Beeswax Luxury redefined. The foie gras, cocooned in golden beeswax, emerged silkier than imaginable, its richness delicately tempered by saffron and thyme. A dish that felt both opulent and earthy, it was a nod to tradition with a whisper of modern alchemy. 3. Crispy Red Mullet A Mediterranean jewel, the red mullet’s crisp skin gave way to succulent flesh, elevated by creamy cauliflower and a daring hint of Kerala black pepper. The spice lingered subtly, a warm crescendo that bridged continents without overshadowing the sea’s delicate bounty. 4. “Pil-Pil” Veal Sweetbreads A daring dance of land and sea. The sweetbreads, bathed in a garlicky olive oil emulsion, were paired with tender cuttlefish and crisp white asparagus. Umami-rich and texturally sublime, this course was a bold, harmonious ode to culinary daring. 5. Pre-Dessert A whimsical interlude: a palate-cleansing prelude that sparkled with citrus and lightness. Though details were scant, its refreshing zest primed us for the grand finale. 6. Spring Honey The dessert was a sunlit meadow on a plate—golden honey swirled with earthy sweet potato and tangy grapefruit. Each spoonful balanced sweetness and brightness, a poetic farewell to spring’s ephemeral beauty. Conclusion La Chiberta’s tasting menu is a triumph of imagination and precision. Each course, a meticulously crafted chapter, showcased seasonal ingredients with technical brilliance and emotional depth. At €145, the experience is a worthy investment for connoisseurs and curious epicureans alike—a celebration of shared joy and the artistry of French gastronomy. For those seeking a meal that lingers in memory long after the last bite, La Chiberta delivers nothing short of magic. *À votre santé!*

A bit disappointing experience for a one star dining expectation. Starters are fairly good, yet both main dishes from me and my husband feels a lot flat from the look and taste. My dish was a Venison, the meat itself was actually good, but the burrata and blackcurrant sauce came with it doesn’t fit. The sauce is way too sour and compromised the taste of the meat. My husband ordered wild hare. We found three small bullets in the meat. Though it’s not unusual because of the hunting, bite on it while eating indeed hurt your teeth, our waiter could have warned us in ahead. Overall not very impressive dinner for this level.

Google
Beautiful dinner. We found the hotel at the AMEX website, and I am very happy with the choice. Amazing food and great price for s michellin restaurant. The service was nice we went for 2 main courses instead to get a started. The front saloon of the restaurant looks nicer than the back were we were sit. The chef offers a nice combination of amouse bouche. We chose the 2 fishes of the menu. As well one beef.

We had the chef special : whole chicken. It was really delicious and huge we have to take the remaining away as it was difficult to finish. They were generous on the truffle. They had a seaweed butter I remember which I didn't really like as it was too much of the sea fish taste. not really a good combination with the bread. Staff members are friendly. service is good. living up to the mMichelin standard but not exceeding it.

This was the worst Michelin star or high end restaurant I have ever been to. First, they put this burnt purée chip on everything. It just tastes like burnt pan. The scallop appetizer was accompanied by completely unseasoned white vegetable. I think it was radish. The scallops themselves were unseasoned. So all I could taste was the burnt chips. And this was the theme of the entire meal. My filet mignon was the size of two of my fingers, and it sat in a plate of these burnt chips with what appeared to be the powder made from these burnt chips. If you like burnt tastes, you will love it!

My dinner here was paid by my company so the price was not an issue. Good food and wine. Not a “Wow” for a Michelin resto in the middle of Paris...

Google
One of the best Michelin resto we’ve tried in Paris. Loved the creativity of the chef. The ambience inside is nice (some other Michelin places here are jam packed, unsure how they got the star) Service is really good too! Again, not something to take for granted here in Paris, even for a Michelin restaurant!! Thank you everyone in the team for a wonderful night

Yelp
It was a spur of the moment with my family but had a great time, the staff was friendly and accommodating even though we did not have a reservation. They were also very nice to my kids even though the restaurant is more "serious". The food was incredible, we were served a mouse that blew our minds.

Yelp
My first Michelin star restaurant! I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our two year anniversary and it was perfect! For the attire, It was formal, but could be more casual if you'd like. Many men wore just button up shirts, some wore jackets. I chose to wear a suit for fun, my boyfriend wore a nice t shirt and pants. We got the 7 course tasting menu for €99 each, which I highly recommend!!! We booked through Michelin.com. We were very full by the end of the night, it felt like the courses were never ending. They also constantly bring out fresh bread. They also very accommodating to my tree nut allergy and had to make some changes to my dessert dishes. So, it was kind of upsetting that my last two courses were fruit based while my boyfriend got decadent chocolate desserts, but I understand. Here were our courses, it would take way to long to write about each one, but they were all so amazingly flavorful, unique, and innovative. 1) cold artichoke soup with summer truffle 2) tomato, pesto sauce, smoked mozzarella, and sorbet 3) seared tuna with edamame slaw 4) roasted duck 5) three types of cheeses 6) deconstructed key lime dessert for me, my boyfriend for chocolate with wafers and raspberries, etc. 7) I got a berry sorbet, with fresh fruit and jam. 8) they brought our chocolates with the check, but I was allergic so they brought out some fresh fruit for me. It was amazing and made our trip so memorable. As someone who loves food, this was so exciting for me. Especially, since it was affordable. Definitely come here!

Yelp
This is a restaurant that is worth to try! I had the artichoke with truffle soup and it was delicious, then the scallops and again delicious. I have the pear tartlet with a coffee. I will definitely be back and I recomend to try this place if you are looking for exceptional service and an amazing menu.

Yelp
Before visiting France, I researched extensively on restaurants to try and Guy Savoy was definitely up there. However, we ended up Guy Savoy's sister restaurant: Le Chiberta. Definitely NOT disappointed. If I worked in Paris, I would take all my clients here. Because that's pretty much what we saw when we went here. I think my boyfriend and I were the only ones not wearing black and white. Everyone was definitely a businessman/woman. Lots of Blackberrys too :) The decor was very modern, sleek and intimate. The mood was perfect for couples and meetings! They had an eating bar for a more casual dining experience too. I later found out they had a beautiful private dining room, surrounded by a wall of their finest wines. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles! The hostess took my coat and showed us to our table. The food was very good! If you're expecting Guy Savoy, don't. That's what Guy Savoy is for :) Le Chiberta is much more simpler but they do their dishes very well. I had the sweet breads for my entree and they were delicious. THE BEST I've ever had. Was cooked in a deep, flavorful and rich sauce with morel mushrooms (EXCELLENT). I couldn't finish part of it but my bf snatched it up and devoured it. We still dream of it today. My bf had the sea bream. I don't usually eat cooked fish but the skin was perfectly crisp yet, the meat was moist and tender. So good. Made a fish lover outta me! We've never been fond of desserts but Le Chiberta sold us immediately. The dessert was a passion fruit sorbet and dark chocolate, decorated with actual pieces of passion fruit. WONDERFUL combination. Presentation was beautiful, service was excellent and food was delicious. What more could you ask for?

Yelp
We had a reservation last night. As opposed to other places we've dined in Paris, the service was superb, the food was fantastic (presentation/taste), and the restaurant was air conditioned (was 95 degrees out). I plan on eating here again if I return to Paris. They've solidly earned their Michelin star.

Yelp
Service is impeccable, and we were pleased to find both French and English menus. The atmosphere is quiet and somewhat romantic. The wine list is extensive. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I ordered the turbot and it was over-cooked. The edges were crispy. When you pay 50E for a small piece of fish with some veg, you expect it to be perfect.

Yelp
This was the 3rd Michelin starred dinner of our trip so I felt like I had decent ammunition to review it properly. We dined at Le Chiberta on a Friday at 9pm and walked in w/o a reservation. The restaurant was barely 1/3rd full. Despite being a Guy Savoy labeled establishment, the meal and service lacked the flair that I would expect from such a big name. The dishes were good, but unspectacular. The prices were actually surprisingly fair for the quality of food and location - just a block from Arc De Triomphe.

Yelp
among the g. savoy restaurants i've been, this is my least preferred. food has been inconsistent in flavor and quality, service the least sympha. but it's got a core of loyalists from among the suits of the 8è and 16é plus tourists/gourmands who worship at the altar of Guy Savoy. je mangerai ici encore, bien sûr. tant que quelqu'un d'autre paye

Love this place

Yelp
Le Chiberta was extremely disappointing. The concierge from our hotel called to make a reservation and they had room only at the bar which we accepted. We were seated once we arrived but weren't acknowledged once seated for at least 10-15 minutes. Service was horribly slow, I bet, our waiter truly disappeared for 10 minutes at a time. He gave us the wine list, disappeared, handed us our menus, disappeared, it was ridiculous and the food wasn't anything to write home about. The area at the bar where we were seated was directly across from a pass through window and as we were finishing our meal we saw someone scrapping all of the butter from the dishes taken from the tables and putting the butter back into the container it came out of. Horrible, Horrible

Yelp
My wife and I at at Chiberta last night, and for the first time, I am writing a review; mostly, because I think this restaurant is greatly misunderstood, by YELPERS, ZAGAT, etc. This is an excellent retaurant, with great food, great service, etc. As one other reviewer said, it is not Guy Savoy, and thank g-d, Guy Savoy is a once a decade restaurant with perfect service, perfect food, as well as a second mortgage. You almost have to prepare for a Guy Savoy dinner which can last for hours and can seem to require training. There is only one Guy Savoy, and anyone who was hoping you could create a chain of them is simply crazy. Chiberta doesn't try to be Guy Savoy, but offers a taste of what you could ge there. A liighter, simpler menu, with a reasonable wine list and less of the pomp and circumstance. We were out in 2 1/2 hours, had some very memorable courses (include a spectacular veal 3 ways) and it was an expensive but affordable treat. In sum, what you are looking for at a high end, but not ultra high end, restaurant. If you didn't include the "avec Guy Savoy" I think you would have 4-5 stars and a 25+ Zagat rating.
