Le Coin - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"The second of three recent openings called “The Corner” (except this one is in French), Le Coin in Meatpacking comes from a French chef. We’re expecting classic bistro fare, like moules frites, entrecôte with potato gratin, and seared scallops. Curiously, the restaurant is a collaboration with Leica, the camera company. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Waited for a friend as he was spinning for an event upstairs and tried a few cocktails. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed so I’m rating based on cocktails/service. This is definitely an upscale cocktail bar, and the service matched. I got their take on the espresso martini and it was incredible; I prefer them without cream or dairy so you may want to have it without if you’re the same. The whiskey sour was a bit watered down, but okay overall. There was baseball game on, which was fine but I would like to visit when there’s more music playing (I.e., on a weekend). Wouldn’t mind coming back to try out more items from their menu. The interior and outdoor dining area are gorgeous/uniquely decorated 💕

We stopped in for a few cocktails & an appetizer. The old fashioned was great, as well as the truffle fondue. Our waiter was very friendly and professional.

The atmosphere and the restaurant is very nice, not overdone. The staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting which drinks we might like to try. My husband had a red wine which he enjoyed very much. I tried the Cici and was very pleasantly surprised by the excellent mix of flavors. Our appetizers were amazing! My husband had the Carpaccio de Thon and I had the Croque Monsieur and we loved them both. The Croque Monsieur was so big it should have been an entree instead of an appetizer. We were so impressed by it that we shared it with people at another table! For dinner we chose the Le Coin Burger that was cooked to a medium rare and the L’Entrecôte that practically melted in your mouth. We cannot wait to go back!

Fantastic experience! The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. Five stars! We can't wait to come back. Gill, our server, was amazing, Tim, the wine manager, was excellent, and Jose, our bartender, crafted the most beautiful and delicious drink I've ever had, complete with an ice rose (LC75). The food was incredibly tasty and unique. Highly recommend!

I came here when it was the Chester and it was good, but now as it has transformed into Le Coin it became a new and better experience. The new menu is great, prices not too bad with the cocktails being fun and unique. My server was very nice and attentive to our table. I’ll be coming back for my next event!

My company was fortunate enough to provide the entertainment for a holiday party at Le Coin during the holidays this year. I was so taken with the AMAZING service the staff provided not only our mutual client, but me and my staff that I felt compelled, even a month later, to write a review. I would love to name each individual staff member who was amazing, but that would be unfair as every single person I came across was phenomenal and I didn’t get everyone’s names. I sincerely hope that we get to work together in the future. If you are considering a venue for an event or even just a dinner and you are in that area, you MUST consider Le Coin! You will not be disappointed.

We went for Christmas Day pre-fixed meal. We arrived early and had our welcome champagne at the bar - pours were generous. The ambiance was lovely, with high ceilings and a nice vibe. Our dinner was delicious, flavors were great and they had interesting takes on traditional dishes. Our waiter, Fitz, was very attentive and took great care to make sure our experience was the best it could be. We will be coming back again.

The restaurant appears to have a nice atmosphere and stylish design, but we didn’t get the opportunity to try the food and drinks. After being seated, we waited 10 minutes for a server to arrive. The restaurant was not busy at all. When we finally decided to leave and were on our way, a waiter seemed to realize he had forgotten about us and gave a quick, “Oh, sorry,” without any genuine apology, offer to stay, or attempt to involve a manager. It felt as though customer care wasn’t a priority. There are so many restaurants around so we decided to try another place and were not disappointed.
