The 14 Best New Restaurants in Palm Beach County

"Step into the 1920s Saigon at a new restaurant on East Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, where the ambiance complements Vietnamese and French-inspired cuisine. Amid wicker chairs, Art Deco tables, and tropical greenery, guests can enjoy dishes like a Vietnamese chicken and cabbage salad with lemongrass, grapefruit, peanuts, and a sweet chili garlic vinaigrette. The crispy South Florida red snapper, a shareable dish carved tableside and served with greens, dill, pickles, and a garlic chili lime sauce, is a highlight. Vintage glamour in the dining room means there is a dress code, best to swap the exercise gear for more glamorous apparel." - J. Miller

Best Road Trip Restaurants From Miami, Florida | Eater Miami

"This French-Vietnamese is the first outpost in Florida (others include Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, and Lake Forest). Dark mahogany wood and foliage create a sultry that provides an intimate and alluring ambiance. Sip on a pomegranate martini or pineapple margarita and enjoy crispy South Florida yellowtail snapper, carved tableside, or Canh Chua Crudo—red grouper seasoned with Vietnamese tamarind sour. Meat lovers will enjoy the Bo Luc Lac, caramelized filet mignon, or Bahn Uot, grilled sesame beef rolled in flat rice noodles, cucumber, lettuce, basil, and lime garlic sauce." - Alona Martinez

From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy and the service, truly unique: attentive, friendly and always with a smile. The food was simply delicious, each dish better than the last, with flavors that surprised in every bite. You could notice the care in every detail of the presentation and the quality of the ingredients. A detail that made the evening even more special was that the chef himself came to our table to greet us and make sure we were enjoying the experience. That gesture of closeness and passion for what he does made all the difference. Undoubtedly, a place I would return to a thousand times. Totally recommended!

I gave my server, Cameron, a challenge. “Imagine your brother is about to serve 12 months in prison. He’ll get three hot dogs a day and one piece of lettuce at lunch and dinner. What three dishes would you want him to eat as his last real meal for a year?” And because I don’t drink at business dinners, I added: “His cellmate is a giant gangster. Your brother’s safety depends entirely on how good this mocktail is.” Cameron took it in stride and delivered like a pro: Tuna Tartare, Signature Crispy Red Snapper, Signature Fried Rice, and the Saigon Mint Colada (mocktail). The Tuna Tartare – I’m from Hawaii and live in LA. I’ve had every tartare under the sun, and this one? Pure magic. Whatever chili-sesame-garlic spell they cast belongs in a museum. Easily top 2 of my life. The Signature Crispy Red Snapper – Perfectly crisp outside, flaky inside, and cooked to absolute perfection. The Signature Fried Rice – A total surprise. The Vietnamese pork sausage can be tricky to balance, but they nailed it. I threw portion control out the window and went all in. The Chilled Vegetable Roll – Their peanut sauce, with a hint of sambal chili, takes this classic to a new level. The Saigon Mint Colada (Mocktail) – Refreshing, minty, perfectly balanced. My only complaint? I didn’t get enough. Final Verdict: Le Colonial is the kind of restaurant that makes you rethink moving cities—it’s that good. Incredible food, thoughtful staff, and a dining experience that’s equal parts elegant and fun. Oh, and for the record: Cameron’s brother (and all his crevasses) is safe for the next 12 months.

Stunning setting for a stellar meal. We sat on the beautiful patio, with a plants and a water feature. The bar looks so cozy as well as the main restaurant with perfect lighting and decor. Staff is extremely attentive and professional. We had the crispy pork rolls, the salad and fried rice. Generous portions for sharing, wonderful flavors, dips and dressings. The peppers are HOT and tasty. TREAT yourself to this unique French Vietnamese experience. You need not be adventurous to enjoy it.

Google
Food was absolutely delicious . The shared plates are the winners here. Exploding with flavor. Egg rolls were a must ! Traditional Thai dishes that were authentic and true to the heritage . main dishes are bit pricey but the tender beef was worth it. Drinks were unique but mostly gin forward which is not my personal go to Service was very attentive and courteous. The ambiance was impressive but we were seated in what felt like a an entry way to the exterior . Maybe not over tabled but the decor overall was very chic and appropriate. The vibe in the bar area was very cool and live music entertaining

One of the hostess Madison was awesome! She greeted us, looked up our reservations and sat us down immediately. Food was delicious, drinks were great! I will be back.

Elegant, beautiful atmosphere, good food and generous portions. Love the piano bar. Summer fixed price menu very good value for $50. Service very courteous and profesional but on the slow side.

WOW my wife dragged me in, and I am so thankful for the wonderful wife I have! 😀 The Colonial was fantastic!!! I was not expecting to be that good. The Bouillabaisse dish is phenomenal. The Golden Sunrise drink was perfect and make sure you leave room for dessert (tapioca was my favorite). Really original and delicious food. To top it all off the service was the BEST! Daniel, our waiter was fantastic. He elevated the experience! Thank you

Google
One of my favorite restaurants in DB. I live local and have been to so many restaurants. This place has some of the most unique flavor combinations I have had. Nothing else like it on the Ave. Great vibe, beautiful place (indoor and outdoor), cool lounge, and a deep menu with lots of choices. Definitely will go back.

Yelp
Le Colonial slipped a bit since I was last here 5 months ago. Had the lychee martini (not very good at all at 1/5 stars), beef ravioli (3/5 stars), chicken curry (4/5 stars), garlic noodles (5/5 stars), and shaking beef (4/5 stars). The service was friendly, but not very helpful this time. The waiter confessed he was newer, which clearly showed in his lack of ability to properly recommend the best dishes. He clearly seemed to either not have tried enough of the dishes himself to authentically recommend one, or simply didn't remember the full menu. I also voiced how much I didn't like my cocktail that he recommended (I actually said it was terrible), yet nobody offered to replace it with another. I enjoyed dinner only because of the company of friends I was with, but unfortunately this will no longer be my must-have when I'm in town.

Yelp
I recently moved back to Florida and near Delray Beach. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in the high prices and crappy food around town at most restaurants. However Le Colonial did NOT disappoint. Amazing vibe and ambiance. The owner did a fantastic job with decor and feeling of being in an upscale Vietnamese restaurant. I've traveled to Ho Chi Men and I felt transported back there minus the language being spoken. The food was fantastic. Everything tasted so fresh and unique. This is what Delray and Atlantic Avenue needed! Staff was wonderful and overall the price was spot on. I will be returning!

Yelp
Excellent variety of Vietnamese dishes and cocktails, delicious and nice size portions, good service ,beautiful decor, you feel like you've walked into a restaurant in old French Vietnam. Not noisy specially if you go early.

Yelp
I used to go to the Chicago location a lot, so I know the chow is excellent and was excited to see they opened in Delray. It's taken a while, but finally stepped into the place. Was in the area on the early side so was great to be able to check out their happy hour and enjoy the bar. This place is very impressive, amazing ambiance... the bar, the dining room, the terrace... all fantastic. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a perfectly made Margarita, served straight up. So enjoyable sitting at this elegant bar. Ordered the Pork and Shrimp Rolls, fantastic! The Ribs were good, but a little fattier than I like. Love the super hot towel served after the ribs, needed it! Austin Hope Chardonnay, very nice. Service was excellent. I don't typically post menus... included this HH menu as it's not easy to find online. HH in the bar only from 4-6 M-F. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Yelp
Came here for a birthday dinner and really enjoyed the experience. Le Colonial has a chic, upscale vibe with a cool lounge area to grab cocktails while you wait. The French Kiss cocktail was fantastic. We sat outside under palms, twinkle lights, and white tablecloths, which was charming. The outside area is shielded from the street view, but not from some of the noise of loud motorcycles or mufflers. Shared apps: the tuna tartare was delicious but tiny (not ideal for sharing), and the cha go were flash fried with a nice crisp and not greasy. The chicken dumplings were good. The Le Colonial salad was dotted with pomegranate seeds. For mains, the sea bass was excellent with a light, flavorful sauce. The whole grouper was sold out as was the other fish dish we contemplated ordering. The Bo Luc Lac (shaking beef) had good flavor but felt a little overdone in presentation on a bed of greens. Our vegan friend was happy with the vegetable tofu curry, which packed a lot of flavor. Another diner enjoyed the beef stir fry adjusted in heat to his liking. Dessert highlight: the beignets with 3 dipping sauces. Don't miss them! Skip the pineapple upside-down cake, which was heavy on the alcohol. Overall: stylish spot with creative cocktails, great atmosphere, and some standout dishes. Perfect for a celebratory night out in Delray. Indoor and outdoor seating and a nice bar/lounge area. Parking is available (if you're lucky) on the street or through nearby valet ($15 if you get the ticket validated by one of the restaurants).

Yelp
The ambience is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, making it a really pleasant place to spend an evening. The service was good--attentive without being overbearing. The food leans more Vietnamese-French inspired rather than strictly traditional, everything we tried was delicious and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. It may not be the spot for ultra-authentic flavors, but it's a great choice if you appreciate a refined twist on Vietnamese cuisine in a beautiful, comfortable setting.

Yelp
Great vibe and beautiful atmosphere both inside and outside. We sat outside. Service was excellent. The food was all really good--Suon Nuong/GLAZED PORK RIBS was 4 meaty ribs w/good flavor, Do Bien Tai Chanh/SEAFOOD CEVICHE was tasty & spicy but not too hot and very fresh, and the Cari Tom/GREEN SHRIMP CURRY was also really good (5 shrimp) and not too spicy. Portions are a tad on the small size for the prices but they make up for it in all other ways. We each enjoyed a martini as you can see in pics as well as the appetizers.
google avatar

Marcie M.

Yelp
The lychee martini was delicious . We didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food other than the beignets which were good but I would not call them beignets. They were more like churros in a doughnut shape. Covered in cinnamon and sugar with dipping sauces normal beignets don't have cinnamon.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
Good food good service. Larger portions as well which never hurts! Everything i had was good, however as someone who's been to Vietnam and fell in love with the food, the flavors weren't quite there. But it's good for south Florida and if you want a fancy / chic restaurant to experience the cuisine.

Yelp
This was my second dine at Le Colonial, and in some respects, I was less impressed than the first. I'm not fully down on the restaurant, but experienced a meal which was somewhat amateurishly "presented", an expression that they use to describe the Le Colonial "experience". Our server, "N", was sweet, but not engaged in servicing our table after she took the order. And her explanations of some of the dishes were not what we got to eat. Now to the food, the appetizers of cha gio and chicken dumplings were outstanding. No doubt that I WOULD ORDER THOSE AGAIN. Two of the three main plates were disappointing, very disappointing. The chicken curry had a scant amount of chicken, and the vegetables were soft. THE CURRY WAS NOT MILD, AS i requested, and its flavor overwhelmed the dish, although as stated, there was little chicken to overwhelm. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, even if a curry lover. THE GREEN SHRIMP CURRY was equally disappointing. THE SHRIMP WERE SMALLISH, TOUGH TO EAT, much chewing required AND AGAIN THE CURRY overwhelmed the dish. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AND WOULD NOT RE-ORDER, ESPECIALLY at $35. The stand-out hit was the BRONZINO. A WHOLE FISH, filet in the kitchen, after being shown to us table-side. IT WAS MEATY, TASTY, COOKED TO PERFECTION, AND EVEN AT $57, would be my reason to return. Two people can easily share the bronzino, two appetizers, and one dessert, and be quite satisfied. THE MARTINIS WERE WELL MADE, AND THE BAR SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED FOR their perfect mixology. AND RETURNING TO SERVICE, i had to ask for a bowl for the bones in the bronzino, and the banana wrapper for the sticky rice. When it did not come, i put the bon es and banana leaf on the table, which was unappealing, for sure. The host or perhaps the manager on duty at the entry upon arrival and departure was abrupt, no smile or half a smile, made no eye contact, While their role is not to entertain guests arrival but perhaps a bit of a welcome or good night when you depart? And let me not forget, when making the reservation on Open Tab;e I specified that one of the diners was having her 80th birthday, and when calling the afternoon of our reservation I was told that they had a note in the reservation about the birthday, and a candle would be placed in whatever dessert we ordered and the plate would be chilled, with Happy Birthday. Well, none of that happened. Some break in communications between the staff. Disappointing "performance on their behalf." Would I return? YES. But with much lower expectations and a better idea of the menu.

Yelp
I hate feeling taken advantage of, and that is exactly what happened with Le Colonial. This was our third time there, service has never been great but this was just dreadful. Started with - table not ready, okay we sit at a table in the bar area and order a bottle of pricey champagne - the waitress is in a huffy mood acting like she's doing us a favor (as she gets the tip for this bottle for us sitting there in an empty lounge area, not taking the table from other people). Table finally ready 25min in, we order drinks and food which are all good but service lacking (not clearing unused plates or checking in etc) But the icing on the cake was ordering a bday dessert - three scoops of ice cream with a candle - which took approximately 25-30min to arrive. THREE SCOOPS OF ICE CREAM. Then another 15min to find some other waiter to bring us the bill - our original one could not even be found for this whole ~40min window. To not even acknowledge all of these mishaps, let alone throw in a free drink or dessert as a courtesy, honestly disturbed me. I can look past the overpriced dishes but when spending $500+ on a dinner I expect more. Don't go here unless you want to feel taken advantage of. Spend your hard earned cash elsewhere. Happy holidays

Yelp
High price, low value! I was unimpressed with every dish. The decor is gorgeous, no question about that. If this $400+ meal was $150, I wouldn't have felt so violated. The snapper was $100. The server fileted it tableside and talked the entire time. I could see his spit land on the fish. There was nothing special about the preparation. I've had whole snapper in many places for a fraction of the price that were more tasty. The apps were ok, but did not resemble anything I recall being Vietnamese. It's yuppified and you pay for that. The shrimp ceviche was terrible. A $25 boring run-of-the-mill martini? No thanks. Oh, and I asked for the jasmine rice to be substituted for the coconut rice. The portion they served was for one even though the snapper was intended for 2. They upcharged me $8. The food came out very fast! They push you so they have more turnover. I will never return.

Yelp
Elegant ambiance. Professional service. Relatively quiet even when all tables are occupied. The Shaking Beef is superb but comes without rice which it needs as a side order. For a couple (of seniors) my advice. Plenty of food. Portions are large. Cocktail/wine - optional. One appetizer. One main dish and a side order e.g. Noodles or string beans. Dessert - optional. A few negatives: -Valet parking is a block away and costs $15 with validation. -We arrived early. 6:30 PM. Food arrived promptly. Ergo we were in and out in less than an hour and a half. I suspect that later arrivals would have had a more leisurely meal. -The suggested tip was based on food AND taxes. Be aware. Nevertheless, an upscale experience.

Yelp
The food is very good, still. I've been going here for years. Lately it seems it has dropped off. I don't know if they are understaffed or what the issue is. Place is usually 5 stars. Drinks were terrible- not servers fault. For @ 18 dollars a drink this shouldn't happen. Dirty glass- servers fault. Food was great but the service wonky. It seems they didn't have enough staff. I will return and update accordingly. Because I really like the place. I hope they get it together.

Yelp
I'm quite surprised on the low rating of this place. The food quality is exceptional. Flavors are dynamic, good use of heat, and a wide selection of dishes to choose from. They have a good selection of drinks including mocktails. I enjoyed the pomegranate ginger. We all devoured the mushroom and chicken Ravoli starter, papaya salad, and I enjoyed the shrimp rolls to start. The stir fry dishes were good, and the curry excellent. Our waitress was professional and efficient. Sitting outside, it's nice but a little tight (people close to each other). The tables are on the smaller side, it barely fit our food. One challenge when sitting outside, was a surprise when a homeless guy walked in and was trying to get everyone's attention. The waitress eventually ushered him out in a kind way. Other than that, a great time! Definitely would recommend and return.

Yelp
New Year's Eve dinner, December 31, 2024. The food was excellent and is why I'm giving 5 stars. That said, the first thing I noticed after being seated at the corner round booth (very lucky) was our server apologizing and making excuses to a nearby table for the long wait times in between courses. He was saying how they were training staff and I could tell the customers weren't too thrilled. It did take a while for our drinks to arrive, and the wait times felt too long. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful. For NYE, there were dozens upon dozens of gold and white balloons on strings at the ceiling. A four piece Cuban band was setting up as we walked from the bar to our table. The menu was prix fixe but didn't feel like there was a limited selection - there were many appetizers and mains to choose from. The hamachi crudo was excellent, as were the dumplings. For mains, the shaking beef was excellent, as were the short ribs. They added a 20% gratuity. To Yelp: I can't upload my photos. Pretty annoying.

Yelp
Loved this amazing spot in Delray. The ambience was amazing. Beautiful paintings and wicker furniture throughout the restaurant. We had a handful of appetizers including soft spring rolls, the beef wontons, and papaya salad. All were flavored perfectly and delicious. For the entree we had the shaking beef and seabass. The beef was so tender and the the seabass perfectly cooked

Yelp
Le Colonial is 10/10. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, and has some cozy spots by the entrance for smaller parties. live music can also be great. The Golden Sunrise drink is amazing and so refreshing. the Brussels sprouts is a must get here if you like them. the tuna tartare is some of the best, it comes with caviar and yucca chips. split the fish with 2 people and it was absolutely delicious. great dinner spot in delray!

Yelp
Nicholas was our server and he made us feel relaxed and very welcome - he was funny, caring and was smiling the whole time. Well done Nicholas. It was lovely! Our guests from Germany loved every minute. We will be back!

Yelp
The crispy red snapper is a fun experience as they bring the entire fish out the table on a platter and fillet and debone it in front of you. And it's quite good, so it's not just for show. If you're feeling fancy, you can eat indoors, and if you're feeling more casual, you can eat outdoors.

Yelp
The atmosphere is beautiful , which isn't always easy to find in South Florida. The staff was very friendly and while other review mentions around wait times, I can't say we had a similar problem. Drinks and food all came out at an appropriate speed however I do which they were coursed out a bit more. The food was mostly fabulous all around - I highly recommend the salmon, beef ravioli (which is definitly a Thai spin), and the cabbage salad.

Yelp
I recently took advantage of the summer pre-fix menu at Le Colonial- such a fantastic deal at just $35 for an appetizer and entrée! For starters, I recommend the Crispy Shrimp & Pork Roll served with fresh lettuce wrap. It was a perfect blend of crunch and flavor. For my entrée, I tried the Miso Glazed Salmon which was incredibly tender and flavorful. My husband had the Spicy Chicken Stir-Fry that had a perfect balance of heat and depth. The atmosphere was glam, romantic, and elegant - an ideal setting for a memorable dining experience. The reason for 4 stars is the service and cocktails. The cocktails were overpriced and I didn't enjoy the flavors of any of them. This restaurant feels like high end dining but our server was extremely unprofessional.
google avatar

Yelp
Phenomenal restaurant with incredible dishes and service. Came on a Friday night with reservations - they book up so make sure to reserve in advance! It's a smaller menu but our waitress was extremely knowledgeable on nearly every dish. Cocktails were delish, and they were a lot of interesting flavors. I got the Le Colonial and it was boozy but easy to sip and very tasty. For apps we got the beet salad, spring rolls, and chicken ravioli. Everything was very fresh and tasty, plus they can be made to order in case you have any allergies. The chicken ravioli is a plate of 3 and very unique - great flavors and a nice sauce. Highly recommend. For my entree I got the bass and it was in an insanely delicious sauce - highly recommend this. My only suggestion would be to serve this with some type of rice, noodle, or bread, to soak up to more of the sauce! The restaurant itself is gorgeous with nice decorations and has a separate bar area. Staff was constantly filling our waters and brought us new plates/cutlery after appetizers. Food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time and we were never waiting for a server. Overall a truly perfect dining experience, other restaurants should take note!

Yelp
We parked our car in the garage underneath the restaurant & stepped into the French Colonial era of Vietnam. The ambience was enthralling; decorated in the period with the staff was in costume. This famed Vietnamese cuisine is reminiscent of Saigon in the 1920s. The flowers, art, palms, large bar and many dining rooms of all sizes were captivating, Since I live & love to travel & haven't been to Vietnam yet, this was perfect! In 1993, Le Colonial opened as a glamorous upscale hotspot in Manhattan. Le Colonial is now in Atlanta, Naples, Colorado, Houston & most recently in Delray Beach. I am happy to see that there is a dress code, I followed suit in the Asian theme. We made reservations 3 weeks in advance and met another couple for dinner. Small plates, large plates, shareable plates & their signature crispy red snapper for two. Everything looked delicious from the exotic cocktails to the delectable desserts! Service was impeccable Ronaldo our waiter took very good care of us. Bottles of wine under $100 were half price so we started with a delicious bottle of French rosé brut. As an appetizer we shared the rice paper meat ravioli saturated in Asian flavors that were amazing. My entrée was the halibut, my husband enjoyed his filet mignon, and our friends, the shrimp and salmon entrées. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Fried rice & Japanese eggplant Shareables were a perfect accompaniment. The desserts and exotic cocktails looked wonderful, but we were too full to have anything else. This is not the regular South Florida dining experience and I can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
Some places I wish I could give a rating greater than 5. This is one of them. The ambience is awesome! It reminds you of Southeast Asia back in the late 40s early 50s and before. The offerings are small plates for sharing or large entrees. I am not a big fan of Vietnamese food but the food here is real good and tasty. Our waiter Renauldo was on point with his recommendations. He said we would like their filet mignon and we certainly did. There was a special where bottles of wine that are less than $100 are half price. We shared a bottle of French rosé brut. For an appetizer we shared the rice paper meat ravioli saturated in Asian flavors that were amazing. Go for it. You will be glad you did! Their filet mignon also was very tasty. Fried rice & Japanese eggplant also real good! Pricy but worth it!

Yelp
How this place does not have a 4+ star shocks me! Great fluid service, unique and special environment, plus delicious food. We went for nye price fix and despite the steady crowd the food and drinks came timely. The food was a mix of regular star dishes and specials. Highlights were the spring rolls, chicken gyoza, and the chicken curry. Spring rolls were thick and crispy. Chicken curry was perfectly spicy and served with rice. Ended with chocolate mousse and fresh gelato. Inside is unique with various rooms which make it feel intimate and special. Put this on your must try list.

Yelp
We've dined here several times and usually enjoy it, so we made a reservation for a good friend's son's 30th birthday. When booking, we were asked if it was a special occasion--which we appreciated and took as a good sign. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several ways. We started by ordering drinks, which took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. I eventually had to get up and ask the host what was going on. Meanwhile, we had ordered appetizers about 15 minutes in, and surprisingly, the food came out before the drinks. The staff did apologize and comped the first round, which we appreciated, but it didn't undo the slow and confused start. When our meals arrived, the food was not up to the usual standard we've come to expect. Then came dessert, and I was hoping--since they had asked about the occasion--that they might bring it out with a candle or some small acknowledgment of the birthday. Unfortunately, nothing at all. It felt like a missed opportunity and honestly, a bit of a letdown. We left disappointed. If you ask guests whether they're celebrating something special, there should be at least a small gesture to follow through. Sadly, this visit didn't live up to the standards we've come to associate with this restaurant.

Yelp
We are regulars at Le Colonial in Chicago and it is one of our favorite restaurants. When this location opened last year, we were one of the first to visit and the food and the ambience were amazing. Our meal tonight had amazing food, beautiful setting, but really pathetic service. I was debating what number of stars to leave because I didn't want to impact my review of the restaurant, but I will not be coming back to this location. Our waiter was very nice but forgetful and his support staff was nonexistent. They served every course, appetizers, dinner, and dessert without giving us plates or silverware each time. They even neglected to bring out a wine glass when they brought out the wine. Lastly, when we ordered a cappuccino with our dessert, it never came. It was almost as if the waiter just avoided looking at our table the entire night. They automatically add a 20% gratuity on the bill, which was egregious for the level of service that we received. I am fortunate that I get to go back to the location in Chicago.

Yelp
Specific to my experience as a vegan. We've been going since they first opened, and initially, there was an (excellent) vegan dish. That went away, but a curry still remained as a vegan option with mods. Last night, I was told that option is no longer vegan (or perhaps never was). If you're plant-based a looking for an entree, that's no longer an option, and there's no effort to make one available. Too bad. Strong start a couple years ago, but there's been a slide.

Yelp
What can I say....AMAZING!! With 8 of us sitting at the beautiful round table outside and enjoying the ambiance, our party loved everything about Le Colonial. The food was fantastic, not one bad dish from the apps to dinner to dessert! Our server, Shlomo was fantastic and catered to our every need. We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Attractive Restaurant, very good food, excellent service, very enjoyable. I've been there several times and tend to go back again. I've recommended it, and nobody has been disappointed with the recommendation.

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant! Beautiful ambience, excellent service, delicious food!!! The manager checked on us and ordered us a round of drinks! There was a pianist that evening as well, so it was especially fun as he took requests!

Yelp
We were 3 couples all celebrating our June anniversaries here at Le Colonial. It was the first time here for all of us. What an awesome place this was. It's in downtown Delray Beach and thankfully there was valet parking in the garage. Your ticket should be validated by the restaurant. The decor felt like I was in Casablanca - so chic and romantic. It was the perfect place to celebrate. Schlomo was our wonderful waiter. He went through the entrees with us giving us his recommendations. He was spot on with his insights. We first had drinks and appetizers to start. Paul and I shared the ribs. There were 4 very tasty and meaty ribs in a delicious sauce. Others had the shrimp rolls served with a peanut sauce. It was so fresh and delicious. Another small plate ordered was the beef ravioli. All the appetizers were a hit For my main dish I had the chef's signature dish which was the halibut. Honestly, it was probably one of the best cooked halibut entrees I ever ate. It was so light and flakey. It did not come with a side so I had to order a large Jasmine rice. It was the priciest entree on the menu The others ordered short ribs- a very popular entree , and curry chicken. Now the best part - dessert. We had the La Noix de Coco which was absolutely incredible. You'll have to go there to experience that exquisite treat. Now we were all surprised because to our delight Schlomo brought over a vanilla Crème Brûlée as his treat. We all loved our anniversary celebration here at Le Colonial and look forward to future visits.

Yelp
Update--food is still really good, but I fear they are under staffed. If a party is neglected, made to wait an inordinate amount of time for entrees and resorts to getting up to locate and pour their wine--you are understaffed. We watched our waiter handle tables inside and out and try . . . . But we felt neglected. Note to management: when this happens, train your servers to offer up something (perhaps a dessert to share). It would have helped. It was great food, but a sub par experience. Too bad.

Yelp
Our party of 6 enjoyed a girls' night out celebrating a special birthday. We had an 8:00 reservation and they took us as soon as our party was complete. Le Colonial is new to Delray Beach but there are other locations including Chicago and Houston with others coming soon. Drinks, including lychee martini, smoky old fashion and the the spicy margarita we all hits. The cuisine is French Vietnamese, and all items were prepared and presented perfectly. We ordered several starters for the table and our entrées included, spicy chicken, salmon and Vietnamese seafood, bouillabaisse. We ate everything. Many ingredients are locally sourced. Our desserts included the crème brûlée, which was a treat from our waiter and the chocolate cake flambéed with rum. Wait staff could not sing happy birthday, but did not stop us from singing and celebrating. Serving sizes and prices were as expected for the location. Service was professional and attentive.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this location. While the atmosphere is beautiful and perfect for cocktails, it's definitely not our go-to. Nestled in a beach town, they hound down on dress code, with the staff reminding you in the most un-polite ways. Having come here on numerous occasions, I am never left satisfied. Of course you can't go wrong with the Shaking Beef and Garlic Noodles, I am still patiently, yet eagerly, waiting for their roasted duck to appear on the menu. They've said it was supposed to arrive about 6 months after opening to train new chefs on their Vietnamese cuisine, but now we're in Q4 of 2024 and there no sign. Unfortunately I believe this location falls short of the true Le Colonial brand.

Yelp
Great food great service great ambiance Valet parking is around the corner and a short walk to the restaurant and cost about $15. We had a 7:30 pm reservation and we were seated right away. My friend had been there only once before. They greeted him like he was family. The golden sunrise cocktail is delicious We had multiple appetizers as our dinner The yellow tail tuna was delicious and my favorite the shrimp and pork appetizer was a wow. The beef ravioli was amazing Looking forward to a return visit

Yelp
I wish there were more restaurants like Le Colonial, which are chic and delicious. Le Colonial is a French-Vietnamese restaurant both in decor and cuisine. We were four lifelong friends celebrating several things, but mostly gratitude for each other, and this meal, from start to finish, fit right into our mood. We sat outside at what we felt was a "too-small for 4" table to our liking, but so what? We wanted to move, but the place was packed, and we decided to go with the flow without any complaints. Our server guided us through the menu and how to order. We had the pork and shrimp crispy spring rolls, the 'ravioli,' and the pan-fried dumplings to share. This could have been our entire meal. The portions were more than generous. Nothing was greasy. The fry chef is on their game. Mains were fried rice (I want to devour this dish daily), Shekin beef (perfectly cooked, tender pieces of seasoned beef served with the appropriate Vietnamese pickled cucumber), and the Faroe Island salmon in a lemongrass coconut sauce. We ordered too much, but we ate through our walls of pain. Yes, we were loud. Yes, we drank many deftly prepared (and generously poured) lychee martinis and superb Cosmo's. Yes, the table next to us wished they were sitting somewhere else, but we were so happy to be together, enjoying this spectacular experience. Vivez la vie pleinement! Is Le Colonial pricey? Yes. But this is a place where you don't feel taken. Rather, you feel taken away.

Yelp
Excellent service from Korey and Larry. We had the pork/shrimp rolls and tuna tartare as an appetizer, followed by the shaking beef, fried rice, and the bronzino which were all excellent. Love the ambiance here in the dining area and the bar area. Ambiance is similar to the flamingo at the Boca Raton. Dessert wasn't great and hoping they add more to their dessert menu. Overall service and food and ambiance was excellent

Yelp
I wandered in here alone not expecting to get to have a meal. The bar was packed. The hostess saw me looking around and offered me a cocktail table outside where they prefer you order off the small bites menu- perfect for me. The ceviche was excellent, but beware of the spice level- it was HOT! The chicken dumplings with black vinegar were very tasty and perfectly pan fried. The restaurant itself has a sexy, sophisticated vibe and the service was top notch. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
This restaurant has it all! Great food and service. Plus the ambiance is perfect for special occasions and even business discussions. Conversation can be had unlike many of the restaurants where you have to shout to be heard. My wife and I shared the branzino and it was delicious. Every appetizer was excellent. Le Colonial is a bit pricey but well worth it.
