Old style restaurant. Lots of tableside service including caesar salad, beef tartare, and shrimp cocktail. David McMillian had the filet mignon, Fred had the Scampi Newberg, Tony had the Dover Sole.

Great food, great atmosphere and great service! The Caesar salad was super tasty! We ordered the Châteaubriand which was well worth the price tag. We finished up with a Brazilian coffee. Highly recommend going and trying one of their flame specialty meals. The waiters are also the cooks and the bartender and put on a great performance

This wonderful classic Quebec City French restaurant was a perfect way to celebrate a 40th Wedding Anniversary trip. The staff was welcoming , and professional . We enjoyed our "flambe expert" and excellent waiter Dennis. We started off with the Escargots, I chose the fresh Lobster and Dennis created Lobster Newburg table side for us. My husband chose the Filet Mignon, also prepared tableside with Dennis' finesse. Both dishes were heaven to eat! .They came with Asparagus, delicious chopped carrots and either Parmesan potatoes or saffron rice. We truly wanted to try one of the the crepes for 2 for dessert, but we were full from dinner. I wanted to try something I hadn't had before and we shared the baked Alaska. Grand Marnier was poured over the frozen dessert table side and lit. It was refreshing and delicious with a beautiful orange flavor that came thru nicely after the alcohol burned off . I hope to return again sometime in the future . Merci Beaucoup to Le Continental for a lovely, memorable celebration dinner .

A bit loud if an excited group comes in. Food was on point except for the included sides being clearly precooked sitting there just warmed up. The paid for side was excellent. Servers are also chefs. The stuff cooked at the table was all fantastic. Onion soup was overpriced for the result. Fillet mignon is excellent. Potatoes dauphinoise also great.

More than delicious beautiful food this place is the complete experience in fine dining like nothing else. This is where you go to celebrate, propose, and create memories for a lifetime! We had the steak and it cooks right next to you. The waiters are the chefs! Just look at the pics and video. And not as expensive as you might think.

Wonderful dinner for my family and me. The wellington beef is my favourite, delicious! Very fancy and elegant atmosphere. Winter clothes will be taken into a closet before we dine in which is very considerate. The price was worth the service and food. The waiter has a welcoming smile, he cooked the shrimp and it was amazing. He is very cheerful and even recommended us his favourite dessert. Everything was excellent except for the red wine, it was a little bit dry but it is affordable so it’s okay. We are very happy and enjoyed the meal. Delightful experience 💗

We had our Chinese new year eve dinner there, it was one of the best meals in the old Quebec. The service was so wonderfully attentive, all the staff were friendly and helpful. For two of us, we shared the duo foie gras, I prefer the grilled one on toast, so good. I wish they can serve it by itself one day. The snails were good but not the best. For main course, we shared the flaming shrimps and Dover sole, so we enjoyed the wonderful serving performance beside table. We will definitely come back one day.

A phenomenal restaurant filled with competent staff who are willing to please every step of the way. Had the pleasure of visiting this location during the Easter long weekend while in Quebec City. Note, reserve your table in advance, and dress in formal attire. Upon walking in you are greeted at the door, coat service swoops in and takes your stuff and you are led to your table. There you are seated and your waiter and “chef” for the night (if you order their main signature dish) will introduce themselves. The interior is what you’d expect from a long standing restaurant of this calibre, nice but not overly flamboyant. Bread is brought to you so you can nibble on it when you cruise through the menu. Overall the food was delicious, the table side show you get is great, adds flair to your night and a smile on your face. Make sure you take photos and make a video during the process, the table side staff will give you the heads up! In terms of getting here, I recommend you take an Uber. Save yourself the headache of parking, I mean if you are already spending the money to eat here, what’s a few bucks for an Uber? I’ll be back one day, until then I hope they don’t loose their charm.
