My husband and I had the the most amazing Christmas dinner this evening at Restaurant Le Continental! We tasted escargot for the first time and we loved it. We also had crepes Suzette for the first time and they were also amazing! Our server was the best! I wished we had gotten his name. I had Shrimp Newburg and my husband had a filet mignon. Both dishes were delicious! If you happen to find yourself in Quebec, I’d highly recommend going to this restaurant.

Google
Great experience and would certainly go back. We got salmon and beef filet. Both were delicious. Cherry jubilee for dessert. From moment you walk in the place smells like delicious food. Our waiter was a professional waiter who cooked my filet perfectly. If you are near by worth the visit

Google
I made a reservation to eat here as, honestly, there weren't many reservations left the weekend before Christmas and I managed to grab this one. Absolutely outstanding. It felt very old school, but in a good way! They opened the door to my Uber, which was so unexpected, and we were greeted at the door by the maitre d', as well as 3 or 4 waitstaff. Someone offered to take our coats and then we were seated. They will cook some of their offerings tableside. A proposal took place while we were there and was announced by the maitre d' after she accepted, with the whole restaurant celebrating the engagement. Everyone was super attentive and great at clearing the table or refilling waters without being disruptive. Our food was, I'm told, outstanding. Unfortunately, I had a cold and couldn't taste anything. Ugh, so frustrating. But my steak was tender and my family said everything (including my meal) was delicious! I would love to go back and order the same thing and actually taste it this time!!!

Google
Today we went for dinner at Le continental and we were extremely happy with the quantity, and most importantly with the quality of the food. From the moment we entered everyone was extremely friendly and thanked us for choosing Le continental. Actually we want to thank them for the amazing food experience they offered us today. We wanted a different salad to the one they had on the menu, and they went out of their way to make a different salad for us. The duck a l'orange Flambé for 2 was exceptional. The Quebec cheese platter included three types of local cheese which we never tried before but enjoyed the flavors. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a fan of the French cuisine.

Google
Went here recently. The street is magical. Walking in you get the feel of stepping into old school charm of a French restaurant complete with white blazers, warm wood, and tableside carts. We were greeted after seating and offered congratulations on our anniversary. Asked how would you like 2 glasses of champagne. Nice touch. Ordered our meal and while on the pricier side for Quebec/Montreal, it was in line with Vancouver(pricey). Ordered: fois gras on toasted brioche appy/wellington/rack of lamb/mashed potatos/crepes suzette. Thoughts: flavour wise - not the greatest. Wellington stated with seared fois gras but if it was meant to be on the top it didnt come, and if it was smeared inside the wellington it didnt taste like it was there. No biggie though but the pastry was generally flakey. Lamb lacked seasoning. But the sauce made up for it. Generally pretty good. Mashed potatoes - overly sweet. Lacked body, no richness from butter or cream. Took one bite n asked it to be returned as it was way too sweet. Asked if I wanted to order the dauphine instead but opted against that given the mashed potatoes. The response to this was a dismissive "well, so you dont like it!" Dessert: crepes suzette made tableside. This was pretty tasty. No complaints but my mistake was not asking if the ice cream came with it or if there was an additional charge. ---- Overall, the price did not justify the price. There are better tasting places around for the same food. I found some elements of tourist trap a bit unsavory. The champagne that we were asked if we wanted after the congratulatory message did not come on the house. It was $35/flute. The returned mashed potatoes while only being $5 was not removed from the bill. Now, on a $400 bill, $5 wont move the needle anywhere but it speaks to the the character of the place. Would we return? No. Do we recommend: if only to see the place and the history. So have a glass of wine and an appy. Not the full meal.

Google
This was our 3rd dinning experience this year! First trip to Quebec in May and again in September. Food was excellent with impeccable service. Loved the table side flambé options presented by their experienced servers. We’ve tried beef and seafood flambé at table; all delicious! Even the desserts are delicious. My favorite dessert was the pears and the crepe Suzette! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Mayra Z.

Google
It’s a good place to have dinner with family or friends. We were a family of 6 with children, they were very attentive and kind. We tried the duck and the fillet mignon, as well as the Caesar salad, everything was delicious. We recommend you make a reservation as it gets busy very quickly.

Google
We had a wonderful experience visiting Le Continental for our first time. We did not know exactly what to expect - - and we were so pleasantly surprised by an awesome evening. Our waiter, Andrea, was very knowledgeable and helped us make incredible choices for our meal. He was both entertaining and efficient in cooking our meal. Definitely one of the best Caesar salads I have ever had in my life! And our Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant to any of our U.S. friends if they plan to head to Quebec.

Yelp
Fine dining is theater: the dressing up, the well spoken waiters, the presentation of food. Le Continental takes that concept and brings it into a different level altogether, opening a world that has lost ceased to exist. The tradition of table-side cooking is something that has largely evaporated, probably for many understandable reasons that might range from catching someone's hair on fire to the complexity of making waiters become chefs. Yet, Le Continental kept it alive and fortunate guests have the privilege to experience this. The restaurant was opened by two Italian immigrants 1956 in a historic house of old Quebec. Then, about a decade ago, ownership transferred to a gentleman who started here as a waiter at the age of 13 and now is the owner. If a story like that is not enough to cement the quality of Le Continental, consider that the team of waiters here has worked at Le Continental most of their lives. They are true masters of their craft. When it comes to wine, there is a pleasant, fairly condensed wine list focused on French appellations. Highlights of the menu are unquestionably the excellent steaks, in particular the filet mignon, as well as Pommes Dauphinese and Escargot. Le Continental is a relic of times long gone and a place that needs to stick around here. Given how popular it is, that hopefully should not be a problem.

Yelp
This was the most expensive meal we've had on our Quebec trip and unfortunately the least liked. The steak was cooked to a perfect temperature and was very tender, but had very little flavor. They made a sauce and without inquiring, poured it over the steak. We did not enjoy the sauce. It reminded me of A1. The mashed potatoes were soupy and the creamed spinach seemed to be a strange concoction of puréed spinach soaking in some liquid. Neither were creamy or rich in flavoring- simply watery. The chopped carrots served as an accompaniment to the meal were the best tasting and the mousse was nice. The Caesar salad was nothing special.

Yelp
Le Continental delivers a truly old-school French dining experience, from white tablecloth service to tableside preparations that turn dinner into a performance. I ordered the tableside flambé steak, and watching it cooked right in front of you is half the experience. The steak itself was perfectly thick, expertly prepared, and absolutely delicious. The service is polished and professional, though very rooted in tradition. One small note: the kitchen wouldn't accommodate a Caesar salad for one, which felt a bit inflexible, but also very on-brand for a place that does things their way. That said, the overall experience was memorable and special. It's easy to see why this is a spot Anthony Bourdain famously dined at. Le Continental has confidence, history, and a commitment to classic French service that doesn't chase trends. This isn't a casual or quick meal, but if you're looking for a timeless dining experience in Quebec City, it's absolutely worth it.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Quebec. I loved the food and presentation by the chef/server/Andrea. The only thing I felt disappointed about was the fact that Andrea introduced himself as "AF"gay person in front of our children. We are pretty tolerant people especially when we travel with kids. But I don't want to hear waiter's personal sexual preference during my dinner.

Yelp
One of the best meals I've ever had in my life. And it was only surpassed by the service. I wish we lived closer and could come all the time!!

Yelp
I loved this place. It felt like a dinner my grandparents would have told me about. The wood paneled walls and sconces make it feel fancy. The service was friendly. They prepared the Caesar salad and steak table side, so fun. My scallops were delicious. The potatoes and spinach were great. Our big disappointment, was we are towards the end of our trip, and we're all too full for crepes Suzette, we will definitely get them next time. Treat yourself to a great experience at Le Continental.

Yelp
Since Quebec City is home to 39 Michelin restaurants, we decided to try a couple. Although other places were pretty good, we were not as thoroughly impressed until we had our dinner at Le Continental!! From the food to the service, everything was exceptional! This French restaurant was established 67 years ago and the staff told us that nothing on the recipe has been changed! They take pride in bringing the kitchen to the table and cooking at the table for us!! Every single server was so good at not only serving, but also making the food, and providing extraordinary customer service at the same time! They are happy to be there and happy to do whatever it takes to make sure you have a good time!! A rare experience in our dining history across the globe! Even the host and the staff at the front made us feel so welcomed the minute we walked into the restaurant (unlike the other Michelin restaurant did not bother talking to me nor checking my rsvp when I showed up 15 mins early for my rsvp). They checked our coat and really took care of us! It is all about the little things! We had the orange duck for 2. They brought the entire duck to our table, ripped up the bone and cooked in Orange sauce at the table. I don't typically eat duck unless I am in a very good French restaurant, and this was an amazing meal! We also had escargot. I love the shell still stay intact! Even in France now, many restaurants would take the shell off which feel more commercialized on a traditional French dish and of course, I saw most places in Quebec City do that, except this place!

Brian T.

Yelp
The ambience and service were excellent. Several dishes are prepared table side by a seasoned wait staff. Lamb chops and filet mignon were very good but not quite great. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
Amazing service. Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. We were pleasantly impressed with the synchronized service and the pleasant demeanor of the staff. This is a five star restaurant with the feeling of a family restaurant. Absolutely fantastic restaurant and delicious food

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place. As a solo diner I was so excited when they said they could accommodate the table side Caesar for 1! Nicolas did a great job chatting and showing his process. The service was impeccable, I feel it was above and beyond. It was the food. At the end of his process making the dressing, I thought I was in for the best Caesar of my life and the Nicolas dumped about a half cup of bacon and unfortunately, that over powered all the other flavors. I also would have preferred more of the Romain heart and less of the green leaves but that might just be me. Next, I had the Escargot, which I always order if on a menu and they were nicely done (but being made of garlic and butter, they are rarely bad) . My one complaint would be that there wasn't much sauce. I love to sop up whatever is left with bread at the end. Then I had the scallops and at $63, the portion was nice. I wish they had explained the one scallop that was different than the other 3 in its shell and the reason for it. It was plated well and topped with caviar but they were SO salty, that they were inedible. I didn't say anything because the staff was so friendly and I didn't want to cause a stir. I was full at the point that I chalked it to a loss. Very expensive meal at $200/1 person including wine. But the staff was great. I wish it was better tasting.

Yelp
Fine dining French restaurant with friendly wait staff. We went to a different place for dinner and left in the middle of it because it was very disappointing. We just happened to stumble across this place. Started with the escargot that was prepped in garlic better and was pretty good. Then ordered the filet and bone marrow. I LOVED the bone marrow. Filet was also pretty good. Would go back for the bone marrow.

Yelp
Glad I had to chance to try this place thanks to seeing it on Parts Unknown. Great service, atmosphere, and great food. Ordered the escargot and Dover sole meunière. Both seasoned perfectly, simple, and flavorful. The side of rice, braised carrots, and asparagus were a nice touch as well
google avatar

Sally K.

Yelp
Excellent service and food! The scallop dish was 11/10, it was cooked perfectly and everything about this dish was perfect! I will forever think about this dish. Even though I dined alone, my server still made me a cherries jubilee! As a very big cherries jubilee fan, this was so exciting and it tasted amazing. My experience was very positive here. If you want an elevated dinner with excellent service with incredible bites, make sure to stop by while in Quebec!

Yelp
They took us in very close to closing and made a fantastic effort to accommodate us. Great food all around and the waiter was fantastic.

Yelp
This was the best meal we had while we were in Quebec. If you're looking to dine here, I would recommend making a reservation in advance! This restaurant provided the perfect atmosphere for a cozy dinner date. For our appetizer, we enjoyed the Minestrone soup, which was a light and flavorful soup that was perfect to offset the cold weather! Our main courses included the Dover sole Meunière, which was a light flaky fish and the special Beef Wellington served with an amazing Foie Gras gravy! We also ordered a side dish of the mashed potatoes which were super buttery and also went great with the Foie Gras gravy. Our service was quick and all of the waiters were attentive in case we needed to order anything else and always made sure our waters were filled! We'll make sure to come back when we visit Quebec again!

Yelp
This amazing restaurant has not changed in years and we don't want it to!! Some of the finest service in the area, very attentive waiters dressed in tuxedos, they know what they are doing. The table-side preparation of many dishes is not only entertaining but educational, as our server explained the best way to make a Caesars salad dressing while he did it. Don't miss the table side steaks, the duck, the shrimp. All cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth. Save room for dessert especially the pears flambé!!! This old-school wonderful restaurant is a no-miss.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday night and it was a bit busy. We waited about 5 minutes before being seated. The servers were very nice and fast. Our server was a bit older but he was great! Gave us great recommendations and advice on our foods. Started off our meals with a French 75 (soo good compared to the ones made in America) and a red wine. We ordered oysters and escargot, which were both sooo good! Definitely recommend ordering them as appetizers. Our server recommended dipping the bread in the escargot sauce, which was super tasty too. I ordered the filet mignon, which was cooked right in front of us! It came out perfect (medium rare). My husband ordered the beef Wellington, which was super tasty too! The pastry was nice and flakey and the meat inside was cooked good too. One of the servers recommended cutting the beef Wellington into pieces and dipping it into the sauce so the pastry wouldn't get soggy. Regardless of it being a little loud inside the restaurant, we enjoyed it!

Nicole C.

Yelp
Food was phenomenal, service was very good and most items prepared right in front of you. The Cesar, escargot, potatoes, steaks, bread... and chocolate dome and creme brûlée were soooo good.

Yelp
Good food, excellent service & ambience Definitely recommend this place for Foie Gras & escargot

Yelp
Very disappointed. We were looking forward to a guerdon table-side dinner. This type of service is so difficult to find nowadays. We ordered a really nice bottle of wine. We ordered the seared foie gras. It was presented to us already prepared in the kitchen. It was delicious though. We ordered the Châteaubriand for two. Out came two dinner plates with plate covers. He put the beef in a pan for about 15 seconds for a very quick flame, removed and sliced it, put it on the plate and poof that was the flambé presentation. We ordered the dauphinoise potatoes and didn't realize there were already potatoes that came with the main. He didn't bother to tell us. When we commented that we really came for the presentation (and service and food) he said, oh there are little emojis on the menu that reflect the degree of flambé. We didn't know that. He didn't tell us that. So we opted out on not having dessert and returned to our hotel.

Yelp
A fine restaurant that aspires to be the best in Quebec but does not quite reach world class status. The food was very good. Scallops huge and melted in your mouth. Veal was a bit tough, sauce was good. Minestrone soup was very good. Service easy generally OK, but not up to the standard of a top restaurant. Had to ask for bread. Head waiter came around and asked if everything was OK, the mark of second class service. Use your eyes. Be available. Do not interrupt. Waiter asked for tip in US dollars. Cash. Scam to either get a better exchange rate or avoid taxes. Overall, a very nice, expensive dinner.

Yelp
While on a visit to Quebec 2 weeks ago we met up with our friends in from California. My college roommate insisted that this is a must visit in Old Quebec City. He also shares a value of good taste and dining. the Caesar Salad prepared at Table Side(Winner) Steaks cooked at Tableside( A show & winner) the Lobster Bisque in a brown sauce (loser) The Maple Sugar Pie (winner) - pricey but worth it

Hysni K.

Yelp
Amazing food. Amazing service top of my list Me and my wife had an unforgettable dinner.

Yelp
Wonderful experience in Old Quebec. This restaurant was featured years ago on a travel show with Anthony Bourdain and the experience was still on par from what was showcased on the show. That's a testimony to the consistency of service and food for this restaurant. We travelled from the US with this visiting this place in mind and it did deliver. The interior has a vintage feel to it and reminds you of an elevated steakhouse of yesteryear. The French cuisine is definitely highlighted by the various flambé dishes, which is a fun spectacle without being gimmicky, but don't sleep on the table side made Caesar salad. The price point is on the higher side, but worth the cost given the experience for a special occasion dinner. The quality of the food was top notch across the menu. If you're visiting QC as a tourist, do yourself a favor and plan a nice night out at Least Continental. Enjoy the service, forget about the price tags, and have a nice day dining you will really enjoy. Reservations definitely recommended

Yelp
Amazing dinner with table side made (flambé) meals. The Caesar Salad was exceptional and the Filet Mignon was outstanding. Great experience and Nicholas (our waiter) was outstanding. He did a great job with us celebrating our 30th Anniversary and the table next to use had some small children. Nicholas was great with the kids and managed everything spectacularly. The ambiance of the whole restaurant all decked out for Christmas was beautiful. Expensive meal but the experience was worth it!

Yelp
I don't say this lightly (check my 393 reviews). this is the best restaurant that I've ever been to in my life. I was absolutely blown away with the entire experience. Walking by you'll almost miss the restaurant with the construction next door. It is extremely close to the Chateau Frontenac. I made a reservation straight off of their website, but I saw that they're on OpenTable too. All of the wait staff wear suits. The coolest part of the entire experience is that the chef comes to your table to cook the food right in front of you. Up first the $18 Maker's Mark Old Fashioned, sadly this was the worst item all night. It was basically a bourbon shot, and no old fashioned taste. Now, the absolute show stopper tonight: The Cesar salad for 2. OMG, ALL TIME GREAT GOAT! You have to order this. It's not at all like any other Cesar salad that you've ever had. It has a mustard taste and is life changing awesome! Seriously, I don't say this lightly that it is an ALL TIME GOAT item. Order, Order, Order it! I ordered the $69 Filet Mignon Continental. Holy smokes. Once again, ALL TIME GOAT. The best filet I've ever had at any steakhouse. Better than Flemings, Ruth's Chris, Eddie V's, Charley's, Bern's, BOA, Mastro's, Meat on Ocean, La Boucheri, and every other steakhouse that I've been to in my life. I love how they flame the filet in front of you, and then make a sauce from scratch. The flavor is just one of a kind. As a side I ordered the $12 sauteed mushrooms. Absolutely phenomenal. For dessert I had the $15 creme brulee and once again spot on great. The whole experience is one of a kind. I hope to come here again one day.

Yelp
Our food was good. Husband Had filet mignon prepared table side. Cesar salad for two was good. No vegetarian options on the menus. Asked the server for any vegetarian options and he asked why we came for dinner there if I don't eat meat/fish!! The server at the table next to us said they had 6 vegetarian requests that night. Asked for menu for after dinner drinks and server wouldn't bring it!?! Asked what we were looking for. Very odd. Server was very unprofessional. We've eaten there before and other servers were fantastic. Not sure if we go back and ask for a different server. Also dining room was extremely hot due to all the table side cooking.

Yelp
We had such a lovely dinner at Le Continental. The staff and service were outstanding. And the food was so special. The minestrone soup was a great start, our steaks were cooked perfectly - tableside! Very dramatic and fun. My husband had a Brasilia Caffe which was also a tableside production. We loved it.
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Great service 10/10. The ambience is amazing! The beef Wellington was cooked to perfection and the tenderloin cooked in front of table was perfect to the perfect desired temperature of your choice. Highly recommend. You will leave smelling like food as most dishes are cooked at your table in front of you.

Karen H.

Yelp
The Continental Restaurant was so amazingly good, we went there 2 nights in a row!!! Service was wonderful!!! Food was perfect! Loved the Chateaubriand for 2!!!! The scallops were the best I have ever had!!! Lobster was wonderful!! Crepe Suzette was to die for. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!! Wonderful ambiance!

Yelp
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is an old-school classic French gem in Quebec City. My filet was prepared table side by our server Michel (who was on point all evening). It was easily one of the best steaks I've ever had. Compared to DC, the prices are pretty reasonable.
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
I've eaten here several times & it's fabulous. Table service is a delight. The food is classic. The space is charming.

Yelp
Amazing, one of the best steakhouses I've been to. The Caesar salad was phenomenal! I'll come back to Quebec City just to visit Le Continental again!

Yelp
Wow! Classic French cuisine, cooked at your table. Fine dining at its finest. The waiters are in tuxedos and flambé things at your table. They make a Caesar salad and other things in front of you too. This is a lovely dining experience, perfect for a special occasion. I really enjoyed the Caesar salad, flambéed shrimp, and Creme brûlée. The lighting is romantic, the decor is upscale, and the service is excellent. I enjoyed the whole experience.

Yelp
The Continental was recommended to us by our tour guide in Quebec City, if we wanted fine dining. This restaurant did not disappoint. Once again, I enjoyed salmon, and my husband had lamb. Great service , great ambience and no rushing to finish our meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody wanting a break from the hustle and bustle of Quebec city
google avatar

Andy L.

Yelp
I visited Le Continental for dinner a while ago. The restaurant had a formal yet friendly ambience that is suitable for any group size. In terms of food, I tried the Fillet of beef tartar and Creme Brulee. One of the highlights was the presentation and the making of the meal right in front of you. The food was another highlight. For the beef tartar, it tasted clean (no raw taste) and had a good combination of flavour, texture, and everything. Ingredients/condiments included onion, capers, anchovies, and parsley, egg, lime, tabasco, oil/vinegar, mustard, pepper, and worcestershire sauce/brandy. The food went fairly well with red wine (i.e. Pinot Noir). The creme brulee had a good flavour that was not too sweet and was smooth/silky, and soothing. Overall, I'd give it 8.5/10

Yelp
My experience at Le Continental Was unforgettable love every moment One the Best meal in Quebec , Canada

Yelp
We stopped in here during the 65 Peewee tournament with our 10 year old son. This was his first time experiencing fine dining and loved every second of it. The waiter was great. My wife had the Filet Mignon and it was cooked right by the table. My son had the Whisky shrimp which was also cooked right next to the table. Both of them loved their meals. I had the beef Wellington and it was delicious. If you're looking for some upscale dining this place will not disappoint.

This is my second time at this restaurant. A group of us came here (from Boston) a year ago and was so impressed that we agreed to make this trip again. This is fine dining that went above and beyond. The food was exceptional, just as we all remembered it. Our group had the fillet mignon, fish, and scallops; all were an absolute delight. But the best part of our evening was our server, Andre'. It is hard to find a server who delivers in both service and entertainment. He was informative, attentive, and relatable. He made suggestions when he sensed we couldn't decide, made jokes when appropriate, and shared a little bit about himself when asked. As a frequent diner of a variety of foods and restaurants, I appreciate a place such as this that takes the time to make their food exceptional, the atmosphere just right, and finding the right staff to showcase their place. My group and I will be back! Thank you, Andre for an amazing evening!

Yelp
Place was Bougie with great service. As a foodie and wine lover - having your wine on time with your meal is key! Many places do not understand that.. this waiter was busy - dealing with 3-4 tables at the same time, but got us the wine in time to enjoy our steak. Many of the meals here are cooked table side, so all the credit for flavor and prep of the food goes to the same waiter serving you. Food was delicious.. We had a quiet table in the corner of the restaurant - so it made for a nice quiet meal.

Yelp
A very classy French restaurant with exquisite French cuisine. We had their escargot, flambé peppercorn sirloin, and whole Quebec lobster special. Everything was cooked perfectly and service was impeccable. Ambiance was classic and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Not to be a hater.... But it was hard to justify the cost of our meals with the quality we received. I like the charade of the steaks being cooked at our table and the Caesar salad being prepared (which was by the way the best thing I ate here), but I felt like it was a bit impractical. First off, we all received steaks. There was about 8 of us. All steaks were asked to be prepared medium-rare, but a few were served well (very very little pink). This presents an awkward situation, because if I send the steak back, are they supposed to cook it in front of us all again? I do question if it overcooked because it was sitting in a boiling sauce that it was served with... However, it just presented us with an uncomfortable situation; because when you pay for a nice steak, you should expect nice quality. Now, I think that cutting the steak before serving it may not be fancy, but how else are they checking the temperature? It was very upsetting. I do give hands down because we were put into a separate space and the waiters were friendly and personable. I do have to say that the Caesar salad was amazing! If I were to go back, I think this would be the only thing I order. I hope to give another try, but I don't want to pay mucho money for another disappointing visit.

Yelp
So we spent $600 but don't regret it! The food was amazing and because so much is done table side, you could consider this a dinner and a show! The steaks were amazing, the rack of lamb was superb, and the beef Wellington was great too. We also got a lobster tail, sautéed mushrooms, and mashed potatoes that were yumm-o. Next to the steaks the BEST thing we ordered was the Caesar Salad- it was also $65 but again the best salad I have had. The desserts were the least of the experience. The Black Forest cake was actually not good at all but the flamed Alaska was yummy and fun. There are not many places where you can step back in time and this place is one!

Yelp
Food was ok but not worth the money. It was pricey and their signature dish Beef Wellington was somewhat disappointing.

Yelp
Epic. Keep reading if you want details but this place is old school and epic. We made reservations a month in advance. We were sat at a lovely window side table. Our party of 4 did the following: Caesar sale for 4, 2 shrimp cocktail, escargot for starters. For mains we had the beef tartare, the chateaubriand, and the scallops. The service at this place is very old school and upscale. I loved every minute of it. Our server prepared the salads, the tartare, and finished the chateaubriand at our table side. Everything, and I mean everything, was cooked/prepared perfectly and was absolutely delicious. Our server was giving us the history of the foods we were ordering. This place is a diamond encased in amber. Will always return here whenever I'm in QC.

Yelp
I went here with a group and had no idea what to expect. It was DFS best meal of my visit!!! We started with raw oysters, oysters Rockefeller, escargot and the Caesar salad. Oysters were great, Caesar is made table side and huge (we got it for 3, but it fed 6), but the star was the escargot. I've never had it before, but with the bread and garlic butter it was amazing! Entree I had the filet mignon, with a lobster tail. It was great and being flambéed took the food and experience to another level. Also had a flambéed Irish whiskey for after dinner!!!

I loved our dinner here, it was relaxing and cozy, the food was delicious and the table side cooking is so fun. BEST espresso martini I've ever had!

Yelp
I returned again to my favourite Quebec City restaurant, le Continental, and it was as great as ever. Le Continental is consistently outstanding. Prime filet mignon, ordered rare (as one must) was perfect. Turnip and maple soup was fantastic. Maple crème brûlée for dessert.

The service was excellent our waiter was amazing! He flambéed the filet mignon crêpe Suzette tableside and had us join in. Fun experience great food.
