"Situated on the sixth floor of the Grand Hotel Bristol, this restaurant is home to an experienced chef whose unique cuisine has a light modern touch and encompasses the whole of Italy, with a particular emphasis on regional specialities. Fish take pride of place on the menu, which also features vegetarian dishes and a few meat options. And last but not least, the restaurant’s roof-garden location gives it breathtaking views of the Portofino promontory." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing restaurant in a beautiful location, with super friendly staff and an innovative kitchen. The view is perfect which is why I don’t understand why it strictly (!) only opens at 19:30 — any decent entrepreneur would sell an aperitif from 6pm onwards on the beautiful balcony outside for people to enjoy the sunset (which otherwise will have happened already when you start your meal). There were tiny issues with the service (for instance they brought a beef butter to a completely vegetarian table, only to take it away and not replacing it with something vegetarian instead, and a couple next to us was waiting for having their wine with their food) but all in all the service was impeccable otherwise and I would have loved to give a tip unless these sneaky corporate people in the finance department wouldn’t have already built that tip into my bill, at which time and out of principle I crossed it out! I would have voluntarily given more than the „suggested tip“ if you hadn’t kinda forced my hands on it. I guess few people realize it so mathematically they end up with more, but not in style! Apropos style: the worst part of this restaurant is the music. The manager swore he couldn’t change the music or turn it down. Guys. We are in the 21st century. Forcing the same tasteless and unnecessary loud music on all people who have a very different and highly individualized dining experiences is just unprofessional and quite frankly costs you a star. If the CEO of the hotel can’t fix that, I‘m sorry for him (or her) as this is a matter of willingness only, everything else is an excuse.

Our anniversary dinner proved a significant disappointment despite the high cost. While the views were exceptional and the food presentation innovative, the €500+ price tag did not reflect the quality of the cuisine. The "Chef's Experience Option" fell short of expectations; the menu lacked the premium ingredients one would anticipate at that price point, notably the absence of wagyu. Similarly, the "Elite" wine pairing was poorly timed and lacked adequate explanation of its complementarity to the dishes. In summary, the overall experience was unsatisfactory and did not justify the expense. In contrast, the restaurant on Floor 1 provided superior service and cuisine, a far more suitable choice for our anniversary celebration, as my wife repeatedly suggested.

Amazing experience, great view, amazing food and service. By the end of the set we were so full that couldn’t accept the chefs compliment. So if you doubt that high cousin dishes will fill you up - don’t worry :)

We had a lovely meal at Le Cupole and it felt like we were dining at a fine dining restaurant that's got Michelin star aspirations. Starting from the service, led by a young team of service staff who were well trained, professional, friendly and was perfect with the execution. Very commendable effort. Chef is inventive, creative and trys to push the boundaries and that's reflected in all the dishes we tried. We had the four course menu that had large portions that we almost couldn't finish it all. The array of amuse bouche and the bread section itself is a feast in itself, all the courses were showcasing the brilliant local produce but yet very creative. This is not your typical Italian restaurant but more in the lines of chef playing with his culinary skills and your palate. We loved it and enjoyed our meal and would highly rate it for the experience, great cooking snd wonderful service.

Le Cupole offers a stunning view, which is arguably its most compelling feature for guests staying at the hotel. Unfortunately, the culinary experience does not match the scenic backdrop. Despite high expectations, each dish fell short of delivering the anticipated flavors, and there were discrepancies between the menu descriptions and the servers' explanations. For instance, I ordered purple shrimp with no indication that it would be served as ceviche.the rabbit gnocchi was unexpectedly the size of meatballs! The amuse-bouche was a strange combination of olive mousse and chocolate. We have sophisticated palettes but this just wasn’t harmonious. The service appeared to be somewhat disorganized, with staff seemingly unsure of their roles. Although we were informed that the dining experience would be a leisurely two-hour affair, the courses were served quickly maybe to move on to their next seating. In summary, the experience at Le Cupole does not justify the expense. For those seeking excellent service and quality dishes, I recommend dining at the Veranda on the main floor. The Silk Bar is also an excellent option. Regrettably, Le Cupole does not meet the standard one would expect.

First of all, location is fantastic. What a view and a nice breeze on a warm summer night. However, the food, although it looks good, just missed the spot. Most dishes had too much going on and flavors just did not work. This was a shame, because they used beautiful ingredients like wagyu A4. As for the staff, they were kind but nothing went smoothly. Always placed the plates at the wrong person, water bottles were brought to wrong tables etc. It just came across unprofessionally. If you want to enjoy the view, this is a good place to go, but don’t expect great food.

Located above a hotel, Le Cupole has a wonderful view facing west, perfect for sunset. The menu offers many pasta and seafood dishes, as well as a variety of other options. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Be sure to reserve ahead for tables on the outdoor terrace closest to the water for unobstructed views. Solid meal, nice atmosphere, will be most remembered for the wonderful view.

Went here for my birthday and had a fantastic experience, we chose the degustazione menu (5 plates) and I had wine pairing to match. Davide (the cameriere) was full of information and explained all dishes extremely well. The timing of the dishes was executed precisely and the food was absolutely delicious. There is a great view from the restaurant and the experience is matched with an elegant music playlist.

Yelp
The Good: The wait staff was friendly, present, and attentive. Just OK: The restaurant is located on the top floor of the Grand Hotel Bristol Rapallo, so it overlooked the Italian Riviera which was awesome, but with the vaulted and round ceilings, it was exceedingly loud. Across table conversations had to be almost yelled. The dessert was a collective of a small offerings. The cream puff, chocolate mousse, and gelee were good. The macaron was bland and chewy. There was a small muffin dripping with limoncello that was inedible. The Bad: My starter was a tuna entree. Very overdone with pomp and presentation as if art was more important than the food. The two 1 cubic inch pieces of fish were cooked to past well done and were poorly seasoned. I ate part of one, but it was so dry that I had to wash it down with wine. The rest was left on the plate. The next entree was spiral pasta with bits of fish. The fish was quite odiferous. The pasta was undercooked. The entire entree was cold - wasn't supposed to be. The whole plate was such a disaster that I just let it sit there until it was picked up. The whole restaurant just seems self-important and the food was more about how it looked rather than making delicious food.

Yelp
The view was nice and the service was excellent. The food left so much to be desired. They brought us out an eclectic series of appetizers that were fun and creative, which started the night off strong, but when our entrees came we were both disappointed. We ordered both fish options -- one was a tiny piece of fish that was decent but not great, and the other (pictured) was mashed cod with an upside down ice cream cone in it. Conceptually it was not appetizing to me, but the fish also didn't taste fresh. I think for someone who doesn't care much about the food but wants the luxurious fine dining experience with a beautiful view, this is a solid option. If you're a foodie, I would recommend dining elsewhere.
