2 Frencheies here - we stopped there kinda randomly and it didn't disappoint. 1. The staff was super bice and polite, very caring. (Except 1 young guy I asked where the toilet was) 2. I ordered a Steak Tartare and my friend the Frog Legs. It was exquisite. 3. We sat outside, getting you the very Paris vibe. Overall great

Very nice and fast service ,we ordered desserts coffee and freshly squeezed juice, everything was fresh and very delicious. The servers were really nice and could understand English. Great place ,recommend going here.

We found Le Dante an excellent spot to stop and eat. The atmosphere, both inside and outside are fun and comfortable. The food is really good and most of their desserts are made in house. The service is also very good, friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed dining here.

We arrived hungry after the visit of the Notre Dame around noon and asked a waiter if we can have seats outside. He handed us the menu and was very polite. We also asked if we can smoke here and he agreed. When the menu was handed - the cheaper items (Crepes) were not available between 12 and 3 pm and were ONLY available if you pick another item from the menu. All items were around 20 €. That gives the experience already a weird taste... when we looked through the menu a staff member showed up and explained very rude that we can't smoke because the smoke would get into the restaurant. He was angry with us and slightly aggressive mumbling words we couldn't understand, after we explained that we only speak English. That absolutely made us feel not welcome anymore. And quickly ruined the mood after a wonderful day so far. I had a simple Cesar salad, with very bland tasting chicken and leafs I didn't eat because they were brown. The toilet visit was an "adventure" itself (pictures attached) since half the toilet in the ladies room was missing. I can NOT recommend this restaurant. There are many other restaurants that treat you like guests and not cash cows. ➕ Close to the Notre Dame Cathedral in a really nice neighborhood. ➕ Some waiters are REALLY doing a good job. ➕ The Quiche that was ordered by my husband was in his opinion good. ➖ Food priced on time limits to make more money at lunch times. ➖ The food I ordered was prepped without love and care, and tasted bland. Some of the salad leaves had even brown spots. ➖ A very rude employee that made us feeling very uncomfortable. ➖ Toilets without a seat in the Ladies room ?? REALLY??? 😭 What hit me the most was the treatment we experienced as tourists at this place. 💔💔 The friendliness and the feeling to be welcome as a guest is 50 % of the experience. I can forgive a "not so well done" dish easily if the experience and overall treatment is right.

Google
What a nice surprise! We were looking for a place to eat for a dinner on Saturday night and reached a point we had to eat soon. I was concerned about some negative reviews but my daughter didn’t want to move any further so we took a chance. Well none of the negative reviews i read were accurate. The fries were crisp, the fish and chips was excellent and not dry. The lamb chops were excellent with really good “gratin dauphinois” and crisp green been. Food was all home made. The service was very efficient and good. So really good overall.

We wanted to stop here for a coffee and a break from the rain. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by I presume, the owner, who was not unfriendly until I asked if we could have coffee (not a meal). He responded that we could sit outside (despite the rain and huge number of available tables inside) and then said "Allez, dégage", essentially (leave now but ruder). I am French and am appalled that he speak to anyone in this manner. Don't go here unless you want to be treated like crap. Service is shocking.

On our second day in Paris, we returned here at the end of the day. The waiters were very attentive and spoke English, so it was easy to order :) We had Tomato Mozzarella & Pesto Maison and Chicken Burger frites frainches & Slade, all dishes were very tasty. We sat on the street side, the atmosphere was magical! If you are in Paris, I highly recommend it.

Google
We thought this restaurant looked nice so decided to stop off for a light lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. The pasta was delicious without being heavy on the stomach. The wait staff were helpful and attentive and looked after us perfectly.

Yelp
Coffee was fine, standard. We sat outside to just enjoy the outside air. The coffee was bitter and strong. Service was ok, had to flag down the waiter to order and he brought us the check about halfway through us drinking our coffee...which is funny because the other people next to us had to ask for their check (they left as our drinks came).

Yelp
I wish we had taken the time to check yelp before stopping here. It was a cold and rainy day. We were looking for a place to warm up and grab an afternoon snack. This place was handy. We ordered what should have been simple stuff, a crepe, and a creme brulee, along with a cognac and a calvados. The drinks were fine, albeit a bit expensive. The sweets were barely edible. With so many decent choices, there is no reason to waste your time and money with this place.

Yelp
This was another nice little bar/restaurant near the Notre Dame area in Paris that we made a pitstop for dinner while roaming the streets. Our waiter spoke English as well as French. We got our menus and went with our drink orders. Couple of the good items that we ordered were the fried cod with french fries and the salmon with potatoes. The fried cod fish was very good. It wasn't greasy and it wasn't over battered. The taste was good and the french fries were golden and crispy. The salmon was also seasoned very well and it did not have a fishy aftertaste to it. The potatoes were seasoned with garlic and garnish with parsley. They too were very good in taste. Overall, a good experience. There are so many restaurants as you're walking along the streets, that it's hard to go back to the same restaurant, as so many Choices are available.

Yelp
Just had lunch here. I ordered the lamb and wife ordered the omelet. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. Began too salty but the saltiness mellowed out as the meal progressed. Side of potato au gratin and a nice little salad. The lamb was quite fatty. In the US, lamb is quite lean and chewy. This lamb was moist and tender. And tasted like lamb. Not sure if that's the norm but doesn't matter. It tasted yummy. No side of mint. I had a reasonably priced glass of red wine (no idea if that's the correct one for lamb) and it was mild and tasty. The acidity complimented the fattiness of the meat. Service was polite and spoke fluent English. Menu had an English translation under the French. For a touristy area, no there American were there. But it is a Monday so.... It was generally quiet with several patrons seated nearby. Overall, a nice place for a nice meal. Friendly waitress and good food. As for all the other bad reviews, I guess I had to be there when it was busy. But I'd definitely return on a brisk rainy Parisian afternoon. It's a Yes for me.

Yelp
We made a stop here as it's one of the first restaurants we came across from Notre Dame and virtually every spot in Paris has been decent thus far. Service was terrible with forgotten orders and no attempt at eye contact to correct mistakes and missing items and generally not friendly. The food was surprisingly bad. The fish felt more like chicken it was so tough, my salad was warm, and everything was generally tasteless Do yourself a favor and take a chance at another of the many restaurants in the vicinity.

Yelp
This is a really, really good cafe if you want to get a burger. Le Rallye Dante is near the Latin Quarter. There is outdoor seating but we opted indoor as it was a little chilly. So... we got the onion soup gratinee to start. It was perfect, and easily one of the best I've had in Paris. The broth was tasty and there were plenty of croutons, topped with melted cheese. I got a cheeseburger, and I swear it is again one of the best ones I've had. Fries were excellent as well. The place wasn't too too busy so it was not too loud to have a nice conversation.

Yelp
En Anglais Cafe Dante-terrible service I've been to this restaurant before and it was nice. My husband and I stopped there around 6:00 p.m. on November 2 to drink wine. It wasn't too crowded and there were plenty of tables outside. We sat down and the waiter brought us a menu. I asked, in French, for half a liter of wine. The waiter refused to bring us a half liter unless we ordered food. Now, I have been to this same restaurant in the past and have never been told this. Also, the menu didn't specify that you could only get half a bottle of wine when ordering food. The waiter even said we could have the small glass, the larger glass or the full bottle without food, but not the half bottle. I have come to Paris several times and ordered half bottles of wine in many Parisian restaurants and have never been refused this service for not ordering food. We quickly left the restaurant. I don't need this kind of holiday aggravation. I am respectful to my host country and I try very hard to communicate in their language. It's a shame because I liked this place, but I will never go back.

Yelp
Avoid. Not great service, took forever to seat and attend to us. We order the foie gra with toast and there was MOLD on the toast. Wish I took a picture of it to show it. Not the Parisian hospitality we were looking for. This cafe is located right by Notre dame so very convenient by the metro line. We had tickets to the batobus and the waiter gave me the wrong direction the opposite of where we needed to go and told us 30 mins walk. Good thing I had a map and google map because I knew exactly where to go. There are many many places to dine. Avoid this place.

Yelp
Terrific little place near Notre Dame, typical little place with tables outdoors. Friendly greeting, but service was a little slow. Food was delicious, I could have had 2nds and 3rds of the French fries, but didn't. Some of the best fish and chips this side of the English Channel. The chicken and 'shrooms was quite good...not adventurous, but really good and the bacon wrapped haricots vert was lick smacking good. It was our first night in Paris, 3 of the 4 of us had never been...so I had to ease my guests into the experience and it worked out nicely. Gearing them up for escargot, steak tartar, fois gras and all tasty goodness France has to offer. This place was a terrific choice after a long flight and an easy walk to/from our hotel.

Yelp
Service was horrible. The waiter was rude and abrupt, when asked a question he advised me he already told another patron. When the manager came out and we complained he said that's how French men are. How ridiculous a response was. I would not recommend this place to anyone..

Yelp
This was across the street from where I was staying in Paris. Took a seat at one of the tables outside. Ordered a Coca Cola and the Confit de Canard (Duck Confit). This was quite delicious. Eating outside makes the experience that much more authentic. For those that think service is slow, this is Europe. Enjoy the experience. Soak in the culture. Watch as Parisian life around you as you enjoy your meal.

Yelp
Not a bad pit stop. The ham and cheese sandwich (croque monsieur) and fries were about what I expected. It hit the spot and was above average while nothing to write home about. I don't know if it was the heat or what, but the Pression French beer was outstanding! I'd stop there again just for some draft beer!

Yelp
It's been a rainy day. We just wanted to stay for a little Chardonnay and a bottle of water for the two of us. We decided to sit outside under the heaters where only 2 out of 5 where turned on in the street side we were sitting at. The Ambiente was pretty nice but not the waiter. The wine was not the best, actually the worst out of all we had in the last days and the water was so la la. Actually it tasted like tap water.

Yelp
Stopped in the quaint cafe for some drinks. It was nice to sit and people watch and is a little out of the way. The service was terrible. Because of this we decided not to order any food here and go somewhere else for food. Each time we needed a refill we had to go get it ourself. You could tell who the regulars were; they were treated differently.

Yelp
We came here for a late lunch after Notre Dame. We shared the onion soup. Best we've had in Paris. I had the Duck Confit. It was outstanding. My wife had the special, beef tab. It was a little tough. We found ourselves back in the neighborhood for a late dinner and came back. I had the fish and chips, best I've ever had. My wife had the grilled prawns, she loved them and the homemade gnocchi. Both servers were very attentive but didn't hover. Best meal we've had in Paris in 3 days.

Yelp
Wery poor service. I ordered duck breast received duck leg. Onion soup was ok. But duck was terrible!

Yelp
Very good. I went for happy hour and ordered my first drink, the Tennessee, delicious but sweet, it's a good American style sweet drink, but not the craft cocktail I was craving. I also ordered the assorted cheese plate, absolutely delicious. Good house wine as well.

Yelp
Pretty decent place for the price. I got a salmon club sandwich and it came with a small salad and fries. The drinks were great too! The sandwich had a huge amount of salmon on it which was fantastic. I was disappointed by the bread, as a restaurant in Paris I would assume they could get fresh bread from a nearby bakery, the bread was just basic sandwich bread which kinda plained the sandwich a bit. Can't expect too much in a touristy area though.

Yelp
Random stop in for dinner. Was ok. Frites were good but the cut of steak was a bit poor. Needed more flavor. My kids loved the strawberry juice however!

Yelp
Loved it! We ducked in here for hot soup out of the rain. Small, cosy, and well staffed, this little brasserie is inexpensive and fun. The goat cheese toast with honey, walnuts and lettuces was a great appetizer. The onion soup was wonderful as well. People cheered and sang as the lights went off a couple times, this feels like a wonderful little neighborhood bar where regular people go, not a tourist trap. I like to try to visit places that feel like this when I travel, since the "recommended" places to visit are always jammed.

Yelp
Frankly, pretty disgusting food. We got burgers--with bacon and cheddar, as advertised. The cheese was of the Wiz variety and the bacon was raw. On both burgers. My companion asked for it to be cooked through. I knew better, so when hers returned just as raw, she set it to the side .

Ta B.

Yelp
Nope cinnamon crepes looked like and tastes like last months leftovers. Do not. Unfulfilling. Stick with locations that have to pay (a lot) to keep their location. I'm disappointed.

Yelp
Since we had a group of 15, I'd expect the waiter to be flustered. The food came out quickly, but was mediocre at best.

Christopher D.

Yelp
We headed to this cafe based on yelp comments. It was truly bad! When we arrived I asked for a recommendation, Pork was given. Asked for a Kids choice, simple small pasta plate was suggested. The Pork was so horribly salty it could not be stomached. When I finally asked the waiter if this was normal, he said last week I told them not to salt it so much, no one liked it... ? He did offer to replace, I asked for simple fish and chips....15 mins later a very hard, encrusted set of three very thin (less than 1/16 inch) fish slices appeared. I couldn't eat them, didn't want to complain again. But then the bill arrived. The kids, small plate pasta with butter cost only 1 Euro less (11 Euro each) that a full adult plate with full fixings ?? I asked the manager about the cost and he said "that is the cost", "we didn't charge you for both the pork and the fish dishes". i have a photo of the fish if interested, it was bad...So sad that their location means they can treat customers how-ever-they-like and will still have a good captive customer base. Oh well, just a Waring, be very careful, I am sure there are good experiences here but our was really bad!
