Two New Joël Robuchon Restaurants Will Open in London | Eater London

"Scheduled to open on Piccadilly in November 2019, this breakfast-and-lunch deli offers a Robuchon-inflected take on casual fare, with items such as banana bread with mascarpone and caramelised almonds, a jambon-beurre baguette described as a dream, and a truffle-and-cheese toastie — essentially a high-end, Robuchon-style Pret a Manger experience." - James Hansen

We stopped into Le Deli Robuchon for breakfast and absolutely loved the experience. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. The space is bright, airy, and beautifully designed with soft lighting and elegant displays of pastries. It feels calm and inviting, and it’s the kind of place where you can actually enjoy your morning instead of feeling rushed. The vibes really are immaculate. We ordered the avocado toast and the smoked salmon toast, and both were fresh, light, and thoughtfully prepared. The bread had a nice texture and the avocado was perfectly ripe, which is harder to find than it sounds. The smoked salmon was great quality and paired really well with the simplicity of the dish. Nothing felt heavy or overly seasoned, just clean and delicious. The coffee was also a standout. Smooth, flavorful, and served at the perfect temperature. It really tied the whole breakfast together and made the experience feel cozy and elevated at the same time. Service was friendly and relaxed. It’s a beautiful spot to take a break, meet a friend, or just sit and enjoy a slow morning. Overall, I would definitely come back for a coffee and pastry or another breakfast visit. It’s a lovely little escape in the city.

When TikTok tells you to travel from Eastbourne to London for a cube-shaped croissant, you listen. Or, at least, I did. May 2023, peak cube croissant hysteria, and Le Deli Robuchon was cashing in on the trend. I dragged my partner along on a Wednesday morning, fully prepared to bite into flaky, buttery genius. What I got was a masterclass in why not everything viral deserves the hype. The vanilla and chocolate cube croissants arrived looking exactly like the videos, perfectly geometric, dusted with icing sugar, topped with chocolate pearls. Adorable. Instagram worthy. And then I took a bite. The filling, to be fair, was generous and creamy, but here's the catch, it's all shoved in the middle. You spend the first few bites gnawing through dry, under-filled pastry like you're working your way through a particularly tedious chore, and then suddenly you hit the centre, and it's too much. The chocolate version edged ahead slightly, but that's like saying one traffic jam is better than another. Service was good, minimal interaction with the staff, so can't say much. The atmosphere? Less Parisian café, more WeWork annexe. Laptop warriors everywhere, killing any charm the place might have had. Can't remember the exact price, but I can tell you this, it wasn't worth the train fare. The cube croissants have since vanished from the menu, a fitting end for something that was always more gimmick than craft. TikTok lied to me, and I'm not going back.

Always a delight to stop by here, delicious breakfast and great coffee. Wish there was more time to sit in and enjoy the moment. Always quite busy but the staff are super friendly and efficient. Management are nice too and they are helpful for our corporate orders.

Worst experience ever. After ordering and asking for my £10 salmon baguette to be cut in half, the man serving me, named Alex, made fun of me with his colleague. He didn’t apologise and said he was laughing with his colleague, not at me. The place was very dirty, and it didn’t seem like it was cleaned even though customers kept coming in. The juice I took from the fridge was warm instead of cold. I would not recommend anyone to come here.

A really good place, the manager Alex is super nice. Thanks to his recommendation I have tried the best Macha Latte of my life!!! Don't forget to try it with that touch of his vanilla that makes it unique.

Nice place to get casual breakfast. Decor for high place, but all ordering done at counter. Staff is friendly. Food was good but not excellent - a little extra attention could make it excellent. Enjoyed it, and recommend for casual breakfast - but a bit of a missed opportunity for what it could be.

A lovely place for coffee and a cake and to rest whilst spending time in Piccadilly. We had the strawberry tart which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely visit again.

The square croissant at Le Deli Robuchon is a masterpiece—flaky, buttery layers with a modern twist on a classic. 🥐✨ A must-try that tastes as good as it looks!
