Le Depot Brasserie - Review - Park City - The Infatuation

"Housed inside Park City’s historic 1886 Union Pacific Depot—a onetime mining hub, former Robert Redford–owned restaurant, and, most recently, an art gallery—Le Depot opened in February 2025 as the latest venture from former Yuta chef Galen Zamarra. Inspired by the building’s origins, the design blends Parisian brasserie style with nods to its train depot past, with golden-hued lighting, vintage bubble light fixtures, and custom tables made from salvaged 200-year-old wood. Warm up after a long ski day with a bubbling crock of French onion soup, then move on to French classics like steak frites with béarnaise or coq au vin. For the table, nothing impresses like the showstopping Grande Fruit de Mer tower, piled with oysters, clams, and lobster tail (paired well with a crisp Chablis)." - Jené Shaw

Just wanted to express how much we enjoyed our recent dining experiences at Le Depot. My partner and I had dinner there and were absolutely delighted with the meal. It was such a treat to find dishes like the "foie Gras with pain d'epices," oysters, steak frites, steak tartare and cassoulet, especially complemented by your impressive wine list. The glass of Sauternes we had with dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful evening. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for the three-course lunch on the terrace and savored a glass of rosé. It truly highlighted how fortunate we are to have such a fantastic restaurant here in Park City. Thank you for the wonderful food and service we will be back.

We got an early last-minute reservation at this brand new establishment during a holiday week. After our experience tonight, I can almost guarantee that a last-minute reservation during a busy holiday week will never happen again as both the food and service were amazing and when I say that I truly mean a 10 out of 10. I had what was probably the best duck dish of my life, and my son absolutely loved his steak frites. The chef at Le Depot has experience working for a famous NYC chef, and it shows. The restaurant has the feel of a trendy high-end New York French Bistro, and the food was as good as what Daniel Boulud would serve himself. The whole experience was an absolute homerun, and in my opinion, Le Depot is now the best restaurant in Park City, overtaking both Riverhorse & Firewood. Congratulations on this fantastic new establishment!

Google
Great meal; oysters, Chicken Paillard, and a Le Depot 75 cocktail - their take on a French 75. Menu had lots of great choices. Chicken was moust and delicious😋 Great wine program, interesting cocktails, awesome patio and classy interior. Great addition to the Park City dining scene. Will be back!

From the escargot to the amazing cocktail drinks and the amazing salmon and the bread everything was amazing and perfect. When it comes to flavor the only caviar I have is the amount of flies outside makes it a bit uncomfortable to eat calmly and having to swap the flies out of your food I do give it to Marlo for being a great waiter for us and being very kind it goes a very long way

Wonderful place in Park City. Had my birthday dinner here and felt really special! The hostess Princess was amazing, so kind and welcoming! Both our servers made the evening extra special and easy, very funny and kind, wonderful recommendations. Food and drinks were amazing (try the wine cocktails) and the vibe is truly unique, try to seat in the right side by the bar. Also! The have match boxes ;)

Google
A bit too forward on the bell pepper for my taste on the cold tomato soup, but the whipped burrata had a great consistency. Excellent recommendation from the manager for a glass of wine to go with my fish. I ate at the bar though found a somewhat inattentive bartender, more into talking with colleagues. Very Frenchie art deco style decor inside, also an outdoor patio.

Google
The service was top notch. Friendly even with our last minute party change. Small but elegant bites that very much sticks to it's french inspiration. The chicken was dry but had a great balance of flavor. Scallops, oysters and frog legs are all highly recommended. Their steak was perfectly cooked to order. The corkage fee was a bit high at $80. The venue was loud. But overall we had a great time.

Google
The food really was incredibly good! I felt like really tasted and enjoyed every bite. We just ordered small plates (the Buratta salad, baguette with the dip & others) our waiter Gerard was so sweet and professional. We loved him! We were a large bit distracted by a worker who seemed to be the manger of the night. He seemed off put by the guests and his other employees. His behavior felt very much like selective abstraction/mental filter. Just note you may see a couple employees like this as you dine. I don’t want to disregard the other incredible working employees. There are many and we enjoyed our experience.

Yelp
The food was generally amazing. The baguette and butter tasted so fresh. And I would 10/10 recommend the depot burger, the fries were divine. The lentil soup was just okay we probably wouldn't order that one again. The service wasn't fast but it didn't feel slow either and the whole staff was helpful with recommendations. Will visit again for sure!

Yelp
Average food with nice presentation. Good service. Strong wine list. Had the Le Depot burger and escargot. Escargot was chewy and not cooked properly. The first sparkling wine glass was served totally flat. This place is greatly overrated here on Yelp.

Yelp
Great lunch on a beautiful day on the expansive patio. We arrived late 2:30pm on a Thursday. We were greeted and quickly ordered some wine before looking through the menu. Parker, the bartender, was pulling double duty as our server. Great attitude, BS and helpful at the same time. We started with a huge fries salad with lardons and poached egg that was well dressed. I had the chilled tomato soup (think creamy gazpacho). Both were excellent. We finished with a beautifully grilled sea bream that was shared. Total win. We will be back for the food, service and banter. Parker, I hope your quest for the perfect snow is fulfilled.

Yelp
I had a beautiful solo date at Le Depot! I stumbled upon this lovely French restaurant walking down Main Street and was lured in by the patrons enjoying themselves on the outdoor patio. I was pleased to see they were offering an apres ski special, featuring a cocktail and a $5 flatbread. The flatbread was a lot smaller than I imagined it would be but it was delicious, beautifully plated, and had a wonderful mix of ingredients. I ordered an espresso martini and have to say it was one of the best I've had - frothy and strong.

Yelp
The challenge of Park City dining is, there is plenty of good food, not a lot of outstanding food. Add to that the prices and it can be challenging to find a great meal that doesn't break the bank. This is more of a 3.5 star review. There are a lot of nice things to say about Le Depot. It is beautifully themed with historic touches and has great outdoor seating as well. Our drink staff was extremely attentive and we appreciated that. Our waiter was hit and miss as she disappeared for one unusually long stretch when we were waiting for something that had been omitted from our order. The food was solid. While it wasn't spectacular things were nicely executed for the most part. I am not sure if I'd go back on a subsequent visit, but I would be tempted. It is worth a try as it honors the history of the town with a French twist.

Yelp
I noticed Le Depot while exploring Park City and decided to stop in for a snack and drink. The weather was perfect, so I opted to sit on their outdoor patio. Every table was at or near an umbrella. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I appreciated him giving us a run down of that day's specials (they had $18 half dozen "brunch oysters". We were told that they receive fresh oysters daily, if not every other day. I ordered the specialty oysters and a half dozen east coast oysters with a Park City Brewing Pilsner. I loved the presentation of the food and thoroughly enjoyed the short pitstop.

Yelp
Let me preface that my entire family liked this meal. I was underwhelmed. We started with the $5 bread, jam, and butter. The baguette didn't have good crumb and was very thin and flat. It actually seems like the kitchen staff cutting it just smooshed it as they attempted to cut it. And the staff forgot the jam. We asked for it and they did bring it, but it took awhile to get out to our table. Everyone liked here meals: the crepe, steak frites, eggs Benedict. But I thought my mussels were just okay. I felt they didn't have much flavor, as the broth was bland WHICH is funny because I'm usually the bland one of our family. The desserts were good. One notable thing is Le Depot has a beautiful outdoor area. We sat inside, and it was very echo-y despite having padding on the underside the tables (my son noticed that). I felt we needed the yell to talk to one another which actually had us not converse as much which was a bummer as it was Mother's Day. As locals, we'll give them another try, I'm sure. Maybe dinner instead ...

Yelp
Perfection! The bf treated us out to an incredible French bistro lunch on our day out in Park City and it was absolutely fantastic. Service was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was so sophisticated and fun. The food was amazing -- we enjoyed sharing the oysters and deviled eggs and all loved our individual entrées. My bf was blown away by the steak tartare and I loved my ham eggs benedict. Will gladly return! Such a fun lunch option when in Park City.

Yelp
Mmmmwwah! What an amazing evening. Our server was charming, friendly and helpful. Atmosphere just couldn't get any better than a patio looking up at a pine stocked mountain! But the food and drinks were really the stars!! I have to get the recipe for the Hemingway cocktail as I must make this at home. We had the moules frites and frisée salad which were both absolutely delicious but the humble bread with salted butter was sooooo good. I would have been happy with just that!

Yelp
This place is such a cute place. The food was to die for. I've had frog legs before but nothing to yeh way these were cooked and the dripping sauce left me wanting more. The drinks were perfectly made, the service was immaculate. If you're visiting PC this is a must go to place!

Yelp
The food here reminds me so much of the food in France. This is a place to go for a casual lunch and get great dessert and food! The waiters are so nice and as soon as you enter the restaurant if there is no line you get seated immediately!! This is my favorite lunch spot in Park City!! I recommend the salmon, cooked to perfection!!!

Ch B.

Yelp
Food was amazing! We got the lobster risotto and beef tartar and was perfect! And finished with the Rhubarb tart and a bottle of wine recommended by the som! But what made the evening was our server Claire who was amazing. Very knowledgeable and attentive and brought great energy to the table every time she came over! If possible ask for Claire.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing meal. 10 out of 10. We did the lunch tasting menu and every single item was outstanding. The service was off the charts , Oguz was out server. It is definitely our favorite restaurant in Park city.

Yelp
I ran by this place in the morning and was happily surprised to see a new French bistro along Main Street. They're owned by the same group that owns Union Patisserie behind them, and I think they're in an old train building? The interior has the classic bistro feel, and since it had opened only 2-3 weeks prior, everything inside was very new and fresh. The menu is classically French, and you can also order off the bar menu for the table. Surprisingly, they also had a kids' menu, which I appreciate! Corkage was $30, so we brought a bottle. I also got a French martini, which was great after skiing, and it was well balanced with raspberry and pineapple. Food: - Gougeres: small but wonderful eaten warm and filled with mushroom duxelles. We liked this so much we got a 2nd order (again, it was small) - Tartare: classic preparation of beef tartare with a giant caper berry and grilled bread - I loved this dish - Foie gras: terrine on toasted bread with citrus on the side - Cheese plate: a good mix of cheeses, nuts, and fruit, but I wish there were some crackers or bread with it - Paillard de poulet: it's rare to find a place with chicken breast! Theirs was cut thin, grilled, and topped with dressed greens and a root vegetable sauce - it was satisfying but not too heavy - loved it - Cheeseburger: the bun was a bit dry, but the burger itself was great - Steak frites: a 7 oz bavette with bernaise and fries - Kids' salmon: a surprisingly great salmon - seared perfectly, served with mashed potatoes and green beans - Aubergine: a fried eggplant dish, good for vegetarians For dessert, we shared a profiterole, which had pistachio ice cream and chocolate. Though it had only been open a few weeks, service was great - our server was very personable, staff were attentive, and food pacing was good. Reservations are currently on Resy - they didn't have anything for a larger party, but when I called, they were able to accommodate us. Current pricing is far below the regular prices in downtown Park City, so take advantage of their recent opening. The food is legit good!

Yelp
Had lunch outside. My gf and I split the Depot Burger and it was so good! Wish I didn't split. A must. Burrata Salad very good as well. Yummy French Martinis.

Yelp
Four of us ordered different dishes and we were all happy with our choices. The lamb sausage, tuna nicole's, chicken soup, black cod, egg plant and the salads Depot and Leek all excellent. Great service and a wonderful atmosphere.

Yelp
They have done a major renovation and it really looks good. I ordered the steak frites and it was better than anywhere else in Park City. The bavette was tasty, the bernaise was decent, and the frites were killer. The frisee salad was fresh, the lardons were proper, and the croutons were tasty. The bacon salad dressing could have used a small spike of dijon. I also liked the wine list, and the service was terrific. To quote Arnold, "I will be back".

Gretta O.

Yelp
Beautiful location, decor & ambiance. Food- very average- ordered the Petit fruit de mer & the seafood was ok not as fresh or high quality as expected. Next ordered the shrimp bibb salad- seemed likely thousand island dressing a bit watered down. For entrees ordered the truffled filet- very little flavor but cooked as requested-plated on a veggies & parsnip rosti ( this part lukewarm)& ordered fries as well which came out over cooked & no salt. The wine choices very basic large houses & overpriced. Overall service very good but food & wine need tons of improvements to quality, seasoning & flavor. Average food should have an avg price point. Courchevel Restaurant way better option for french food at this point in Park City

Cory O.

Yelp
Clam entree sauce way to heavy for clams. Bavette steak excellent, they need to learn to make pomme frites. Fries were cold and soggy. Wonderful Bibb salad dressing great. This place is so close to delivering a true French experience I hope they get there. Service was a "10". Fantastic wine list and not over priced.

Yelp
Went on Mother's Days (5/11/2025). Made a res online for 5:30. Arrived on time, requested a table outside because of the great weather, altho dark clouds brewing. Waiter Abigail took the order of Frog Legs and steak Tartare for appetizers and Mussels for a shared entree. Frog legs were kinda small (yep, I knew they were legs from a friggin' frog but still...) and came with some kind of pico de gallo on the side (weird), steak Tartare was chopped too thick for my liking and the "egg yolk" was a few shards of micro-planed hard-boiled egg yolk (much prefer a raw egg yolk which is traditional), a few measly toasty kinds of things on the side. Mussels were cooked perfectly BUT...the broth they were sitting in was lukewarm but more importantly just a lightly flavored water with almost no seasoning (no bread was offered to sop up the "broth" so I asked for some and I was brought some delicious crusty bread and fortunately I wasn't charged the $5.00 which is listed on their menu...for bread and butter.) The french fries (which were very highly rated were very disappointing with mostly tiny little pieces and only a couple of decent sized ones. Very disappointing experience.

Yelp
So excited to see a new restaurant on Main Street. Nicely designed. I loved the wall with champagne ash trays. I thought it was a unique touch. We sat in the bar side of dining. Our server, Abigail, was gracious and knowledgeable about the menu. We each order one of their speciality cocktails and they were each delicious. We tried a little bit of everything from the menu and each was a hit. The desserts were a nice variety buy we tried the profiterole and the tart. Each were great. Can't wait to return very soon. Very impressed that they opened a few months ago.

Glo F.

Yelp
We had a great bar menu lunch! Best burger and fries in town! The patio was very festive , clean and sunny. So happy to have the old train depot back and running!

Mike R.

Yelp
Great new Park City restaurant for exceptional French food, beautifully prepared, inventive drinks, and excellent service in a buzzy and inviting dining space. Our group of 4 indulged, ordering the Fois Gras, Oysters, Caviar, and Salmon apps, Trout, Cod, and Aubergibe mains, and Mille Feuilles, Macaron, and Sorbet desserts. Everything was well prepared, and many dishes included creative elements that elevated the dish. Given that Le Depot only recently opened, we were all impressed, and look forward to coming back soon.

Scott P.

Yelp
My first time at this disappointing new addition to Main Street. Had higher hopes. To get to the bar, the hostess walked me through an exceedingly narrow passageway that was crowded with serving staff trying to do their jobs in spite of my getting in their way. The bartender was slow to acknowledge me or deliver water despite my being one of three total guests at a 12-person bar. He eventually took my order for a cocktail and an entree. No sooner had he delivered the cocktail than the entree arrived. There was zero chance that it was cooked to order for me. Far too fast. Made me wonder whether it was some other person's rejected order that I had inherited. Bartender then asked, "Was it cooked perfectly?" Really? You want an answer to that? It was ok. The meat was gristly, but the cooking was ok. Not "perfect." Don't ask the question. It seems sales-y. How about, "How's your meal?" instead of suggesting an effusive answer? Ultimately, what would have been better is to allow me to linger over my cocktail so I could order a glass of red wine with my not perfectly cooked meal. But I didn't get a chance. Felt rushed out even though the bar was empty. Not great experience.
