"When you go to a trendy restaurant's website these days, you'll find a couple standard links to click on. You can click on the menu. And then you can click on the brunch menu, of course. You can click on the "reservations" tab, where you'll find a note that says, "We only take 4 reservations a night! Walk-ins welcome :)" (The smiley face is key.) You can click on the "photos" tab where you'll see pictures of a singular cocktail glass, a weird shot of the bar, and a "seasonal" dish that hasn't been on the menu since last Spring. And then there's the "Our Story" tab. This is the one where the hip new restaurant tells you about how its founders used to be management consultants who went on a yoga retreat to Nicaragua, which inspired them to open a coffee shop/vegan rice bowl restaurant. Or where they tell you about how the chef's grandfather owned a pizza place in "Napoli" (the Italian spelling is key) so his progeny decided that the East Village needed yet another Italian restaurant. Le Garage, a French restaurant in Bushwick, definitely has an "Our Story," and theirs is sweet. The short version: an interior architect decides to open a restaurant, and decides to do it with her mother, who, as it turns out, was a chef at a bunch of serious restaurants in Paris. The result is a friendly, well-designed but extremely understated and low-key restaurant that serves foie gras (the mom's recipe!) and a good chicken for two. This nice story has been circulated and celebrated, in places like The New Yorker, which means the restaurant is filled with a mix of people who live in Bushwick & Williamsburg and people with gray hair who haven't missed an issue of The New Yorker in 30 years and likely don't live in Bushwick. Le Garage isn't a restaurant you need to travel across the city for, but it's a good spot to know about if you're in the area and looking for a grown-up place for a date or to bring your mom. She'll love the story. Food Rundown Leeks Vinaigrette French restaurants sure love to put some chopped up egg and capers over a dish. Get an order of these to start. Foie Gras If no one else is going to be the person who suggests, "Should we try the foie gras?," be that person. Be bold. This stuff is homemade, and comes with good bread and even better strawberry/raspberry jam. Chicken For Two This $35 chicken for two is a great date-night dish to share. It's affordable, and very good. The apricot-sweet potato side it comes with is nice as well. Lamb Chops Are you the person who says, yep, I'm getting the lamb chops? Do so confidently here. These are very tender and very tasty. Fish Of The Day A very French fish preparation, with some olives and a tomato-based sauce underneath. When we had it, it came with scallops as well. Potatoes You're never going to regret ordering a side of potatoes." - Hillary Reinsberg

"Le Garage has a sweet backstory - the restaurant was started by an interior designer and his mom (who used to cook in restaurants in Paris). The result feels simultaneously classy and casual, with French jazz playing on the speakers, a sleek bar, and simple snacks and mains like delicate chickpea fritters and a creamy mushroom ragout with ricotta. Le Garage is one of the best date night restaurants in Bushwick, regardless if you’ve been on two or two hundred dates with your person." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, matt tervooren

Le Garage is a charming French restaurant in Bushwick. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with plenty of natural light and cheerful yellow walls. The food was outstanding with generous portions and fresh ingredients. The service was attentive and friendly, making a truly enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend checking out Le Garage and supporting this wonderful business!

Google
Solid French spot tucked away in Bushwick! Went for Brunch, so can’t speak for their dinner- but was better than I expected! Got the chorizo eggs dish, which was like a Benedict with slices of chorizo on top of potato latkes, with perfectly poached eggs on top. It tasted good, but I don’t think it has to be $20. Same for the chickpea fries-very good-tad salty-but shouldn’t be $9. So that’s why Le Garage gets 4 stars- solid food but nothing crazy amazing and pricey.

Food was tasty. Service is great. Drinks are unique. Dessert (cake) wasn’t good 😌. We ordered foie gras, butternut squash soup, prefix menu, mushroom with polenta, fish of the day (bass), Iron Lady drink. I would recommend everything except the cake! Overall a nice restaurant!

Google
My favorite neighborhood French brassiere. Today I had the unlimited mussels with potatoes and a glass of white wine. The mussels were delicious and the bread was a great combo to soak up all of the juices the mussels were cooked in. The potatoes were prepared amazingly with a nice crunch. The crème brûlée was just the perfect amount of sweet, without feeling guilty for consuming! Definitely a recommend if your in the neighborhood and looking for a great value meal. Brunch on the weekend is also great and worth a trip.

Google
Nice designed venue but not the best tasting food. In fact, I had to add salt, pepper and hot sauce to my eggs. I ordered a side of bacon that was more like beef jerky due to its stiffness. I wouldn’t go back. Etsy (might be misspelling her name) was probably the highlight of my experience. She was very attentive and a lot more helpful than our actual waitress..

Google
Pretty decent price, but it is nothing fancy either. The atmosphere is pretty relax, seats are a little tight but not over crowded. The service are excellent. However, the food and drinks are just ok. 2 out of 4 cocktails are pre-made and bottled from a local cocktail place, but the best of the 4 is actually one of the pre-made. The fried paniess were just soggy, and doughy. There’s not special about foie gras, and I feel like they just throw in 2 slices of bread and called it a dish. The hanger steak is really good tho, perfectly cooked and season, it’s the only thing that I will recommend. The duck breast has crispy skin and good flavor but it is too chewy for my taste and gave my jaw muscle too much of a work out. The ravioli is pretty good but it’s less than warm when they bring it to the table.

Google
This is such a gem in Bushwick! My husband and I went here for my birthday and it was low key but very special. The food is spectacular and the service was attentive and caring. I would recommend to anyone looking for authentic french cuisine in a quant setting with creative cocktails.

Google
This place is good for meetings and to grab a quick drink. The drinks were amazing Mimosa/ champagne.I hate to say the food is not the best. I had the potatoes with bacon and eggs. The bacon was not fully cooked and the potatoes were too salty. Also do not order the deviled eggs. It's literally an egg with mayo on top for $6. I am somewhat disappointed being that I love French cuisine. But hey lesson learned.

Yelp
One of the best brunches I've had in a long time. The chorizo eggs, croque madame, and chickpea fries were yummy. My partner and I really enjoyed the meal and attentive service. The ambiance is laidback.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
Came here on a thursday night for dinner. The ambiance and setting was perfect. Had just the right amount of patrons (not that they have control over that), wasn't crowded but there were a good amount of people dining. Music was playing at the perfect volume. I felt very comfortable throughout my entire dinner. Food is a bit overpriced, especially for the quantity given, but still delicious nonetheless. We got the chicken dinner for 2, it was a simple and comforting meal. I was definitely feeling full after but without the itis. The appetizers were so good but felt more like snacks, I could have had the smoked fish rillette and crackers for dayssss.

Yelp
Went to Le Garage on a Saturday for brunch and dinner. Brunch Chorizo egg 9/10 -highly recommend Steak and eggs with side of bacon 9/10 -highly recommend Entree Organic Chicken for 2, thyme crushed potatoes -7/10 Great flavor, squeeze the grilled lemon on the chicken. Please note * Organic = small chicken, make sure to order something shareable for the table as well Hangar Steak 8/10 - got it medium rare, cooked well. Duck fat potatoes very tasty Fish of the day 5/10- you will get a filet and not the whole fish, definitely not worth the money (Avoid ) Drinks 8/10 -has a very French twist Would recommend the Coco Chanel & Cosette

Evan I.

Yelp
One of the coziest nooks in Brooklyn during the winter, and most refreshing patios during the summer. The menu changes just often enough to keep you interested, and the waitstaff treats everyone like family. 10/10 recommend any time they are open, and you are in Bushwick!

Yelp
The brunch here is worth the hype. Beautifully executed. I got the croque madam which was lovely and a felow diner had the omelette, which she said was the best she's had, maybe ever. Highly recommended! The only downside was the crepe portion was a bit small for the price.

Zal J.

Yelp
Pretty decent, standard brunch place. They have good mimosas and a nice environment. The restaurant is small but aesthetic

Francesca M.

Yelp
WOW! This brunch is everything the neighborhood needed. The food is out of this world. Everything on the menu looked great, but the salad, eggs and potatoes were incredible. It's a perfect place for a brunch date or for a group of friends. Also a great atmosphere and super friendly staff!

Amelia R.

Yelp
The brunch here deserves a lot of credit and is perhaps the best ever. Highly recommended! The only downside was the portion size of the crepes was a little small for the price.

Shirley H.

Yelp
For appetizers, we got Bread & Butter, Shishito peppers, and Baby Lettuce Head. Main course we got Roasted Duck Breast and Hanger Steak a la Plancha. For dessert, we got Chardon Chocolate and Lemon Mille-feuille almonds. For cocktail, I got The Iron Lady. It came in a bottle, which is interesting. Highly recommend the steak, baby lettuce head, and chocolate cake!! Definitely better than expected! Very tasty! The side potatoes in duck fat for hanger steak is crispy and savory! Really good! The roasted duck breast is not as great and portion size is a bit small. Overall, ambiance is great and service is good.

Carly L.

Yelp
Definitely come on a Thursday for the All You Can Eat Mussels special! $30 for mussels perfectly cooked in a delicious garlic butter sauce, AMAZING duck fat potatoes that were crispy on the outside, and a glass of white wine. The limiting factor was the wait time for each serving of mussels (probably intentional so that you don't eat them out of house and home), but it's still a great deal. The peppercorn crusted pork medallion ($30) was tasty, but a really small portion for the price and wasn't filling. The cocktails are delicious; the Coco Chanel ($14) was so good and strong!

Maxine E.

Yelp
love this place! perfect neighborhood spot, owner is so sweet and the food is always very good. we come here more for brunch but have also had dinner here and enjoyed it as well. standouts for us are the steak and eggs and the omelette- also the sweet plate is perfect with coffee :)

Yelp
After working in restaurants for almost 20 years I'm very discerning when it comes to quality of food and service when dining out. Le Garage delivers on both fronts with exceptional service and absolutely amazing food.

Yelp
Rus and I made a reservation to have dinner at Le Garage on a Thursday night. The restaurant is dark, lit by candlelight, and seems perfect for dates. The menu is also great for sharing. We ordered the smoked fish rillette, the brussel sprouts, and for our mains we got the fish of the day (dorade) and the hanger steak. Everything was delicious and I would order them all again. The steak and the fish were perfectly cooked, too. A few people ordered the chicken while we were there and the thyme was so fragrant, it really made the whole place smell like a roast chicken. That dish seemed perfect for sharing. For dessert, we shared a chocolate crepe, which was okay. Rus said that it was very "wet," rather than a more crisp and toasty exterior.

Yelp
Pricey food with an unimaginative take on French classics. Miserable waitresses (sans the taller woman who was bartending, who was the only one treating us like people). Our host gave us a cold welcome, which I'll own for being 15 minutes late finding parking, but a lot of passive comments for an empty restaurant. "I thought you guys were gonna be a no-show. You didn't even confirm." Ma'am, we reserved on Resy, so the platform confirms for us. The piss-poor service from rushing us to place our drink orders; to the tiny portions that, although tasty, were cold or lukewarm; and the slamming of our check tray twice. Our server charged us wrong too and you would think she'd be kinder for flagging her mistake (undercharging us almost $200) but instead snatched our cards back and brushed it off. And of course, being the only people of color in the room, can't help but believe our poor service was racialized. Caution for any other people of color trying to dine here, keep your eyes and ears peeled. And from the other bar reviews I'm seeing here, it's not just me. Quite lucky on their end my friends convinced me not to complain and make a scene. I've had bad service before but this is the worst by far. Duck fat potatoes were the only good thing worth here. There's plenty of other good French restaurants around to spend $300. Take your business to Mominette.

Yelp
Great date spot. Great Brunch. No bottomless or espresso but the food is great! Intimate setting, outside/inside seating. Staff is attentive. Food takes a little long but great overall !

Yelp
My friend and I were just looking for a place to grab brunch and happen to find this place. We wanted a place to be able to have a conversation and catch up while grabbing good food. The food here is good and they served pretty large portions. We shared Pain perdu (pineapple french toast) and salad valencay. Both were amazing, especially the pain perdu. Food came out relatively quick as well which is always a plus. Aside from the food, the place itself is cute and has plenty of seating (we didn't have to make a reservation) both indoor and outdoor. The only thing is that it's a pretty loud place. It was hard to have a conversation because we had a hard time hearing each other. But that's my only complaint about the place. Perhaps if we came at a less busy time then it would've been perfect.

Jenny M.

Yelp
Lived in the neighborhood for five years. Have been coming here recently once or twice a month. However, had the weirdest brunch experience today with we assume the owner or manager who made us feel privileged and an inconvenienced to their service. After being seated for 10 minutes she comes over asking how we are doing and we respond, "hanging in there". She responds, "oh you're doing fine. You don't know how it is for the service industry." Without knowing what's happening in our personal lives, we felt inadequate to our chosen response and felt like we were a mockery to the owners feelings. We get it, customer service can be stressful but please don't make us feel like a burden to your job. After 10 minutes later of getting our drink order in and another 10 minutes of putting in our food order, she asked "did you get everything?" once we finished our appetizer. We responded, "yes" assuming she meant drink and devils eggs since she took our order in the first place. After she cleaned everything, our main food came out from a server and she looked pist off. She came back saying, "you're killing me" when having to set new plates and silverware. She took our full order and should've known that our main food did not come out yet and should've asked how our devil eggs were before assuming we were done. It made us feel like we did something wrong. In addition, as a manager who works in customer service I would never use the words, "now that my rush is over, how are we doing?" when trying to see if we are doing okay after the overall service. We felt slapped and honestly disgusted by our experience today. We won't be returning again.

Yelp
This place was a very good choice for brunch! They have a good array of options to fit your craving. My date got the pineapple French toast; fantastic! It was loaded with pineapple and maple syrup and was seriously out of this world. I kept it simple and got the omelette which comes with crispy potatoes and a small salad. It was all done very well, I will admit the eggs themselves could have done with a little more flavor and/or cheese. We also shared the chickpea fries to start; very creative and healthier option compared to potato-based fries. I will definitely be coming back to try more brunch options and for dinner!

Christine D.

Yelp
So happy about this French local spot!! Been a few times since I discovered & it's been amazing each time!! Such a friendly staff & owner! MUST try the chocolate cake.. I believe it's the owners moms recipe.. & you can taste the love!!!

Gerard C.

Yelp
Excellent brunch. Great service. Bangin' steak &eggs. Tasty French toast. Get a spritz with Byrrh.

Masha B.

Yelp
Came here once indoor dining opened up. Le Garage did a great job at distancing the tables and complying with the 35% capacity rule. The place itself was really cute and felt very date-night appropriate. To start off, i got the "Coco Chanel" drink which had: Gin * Lavender infused St Germain * Lemon * Sparkling Wine. I'm not a fan of sweet drinks and this one was perfectly balanced with the lavender! Very crisp and clean tasting. For the appetizer, we started off with the Fried Panisse (which was gluten free!). They were good but not great, i expected the texture to be a bit crispier but these were pretty soft. For my main i got the Hanger steak à la plancha with duck fat potatoes and béarnaise sauce on the side. It was delicious but the portion was tiny, i was still super hungry after my meal. I got another order of the duck fat potatoes...because they were THAT good. This place is cozy and cute for a date night but keep in mind the portions are pretty small. I would recommend ordering a few appetizers and a few mains if you're feeling SUPER hungry, which i usually am.

Yelena C.

Yelp
The food gras is very rich. The hanger steak was excellent and the potatoes with are delicious. They have a nice selection of cocktails, we tried several and i thought coco chanel was the best.the service is fast and very attentive. The restaurant has great indoor and outdoor seating and has a cool relaxed feel to it.

Yelp
Le Garage was an amazing place to take my parents when they came to visit. It's a beautiful French restaurant in the heart of Bushwick and one of those restaurants where nothing was short of amazing. Cocktails are $10-12 and I tried the Cosette, made with mezcal, Pineau des charentes, Lemon, White tea tincture, and Celery bitters. It was refreshing on a hot day. I started with the soup du jour, which was gazpacho (who would want hot soup in the midst of a humid NY summer). It was a little spicy with avocado pieces and almonds. An amazing appetizer that I would recommend and order again! For my main, I got their risotto dish which had pesto, almonds and cream in the middle. A hearty and filling dish. I also tried the foie gras appetizer and ceviche special. All were delicious and unique dishes. Lastly, we decided we couldn't pass up dessert so we ordered the pineapple with ginger syrup and yuzu, as well as the lemon mille feuille. They were light enough and easy to share. Since we visited on over the July 4th weekend the restaurant wasn't crowded. We received excellent service from our lovely waitress and had a great conversation with the bartender. A restaurant like this in Manhattan would most likely be double the price and more pretentious, yet Le Garage perfectly brings fantastic food with a homey, local feel.

Adam B.

Yelp
Even though the waiter wasn't extremely excited about the food during ordering or questions, the actual food itself made up for it. Super fresh and beautiful presentation with a great and unusual blending of flavors! We had the foie gras, the potatoes, the fish rillette, Israeli couscous, and fish of the day. Everything was equally amazing

Gwyneth D.

Yelp
Delicious food and delightful service! The wild mushroom risotto was creamy and satisfying. The grilled cod was perfectly moist and sitting on a brilliantly colored purée of, I think, butternut squash. Twinkling candles, tiny tables, big glass garage door windows and a fresh fun playlist including Teddy Pendergrass and Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes all helped to create a great vibe for Sunday night dinner. Plus, such a friendly staff!

Desiree R.

Yelp
Love coming here for Weekend brunch. Amazing food and Great Service. Recommend the steak and eggs or the Pineapple french toast !!!

Greg K.

Yelp
If Le Garage was an animal, it would be a colorful toucan gingerly sitting in a tree. Pretty pricey for small quantities- good quality, just hefty.

Kami S.

Yelp
Went here for the All-you-can-eat mussels and duck fat potatoes, plus a glass of white white for $23. Not only was this a great deal but it was absolutely delicious! We also ordered the smoked fish rillette and that was tasty. Romantic and casual atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back here very soon!

Jewels J.

Yelp
Great brunch spot. The food was so tasty and well made. Our server Sidney was polite, attentive and funny. She had a great personality that matched well with the atmosphere

Andrew B.

Yelp
I was really underwhelmed. We ordered the bread for $4.00 and it was unbelievable salty, the same with my gnocchi. The chef seems to have a very heavy hand with salt. The creame brûlée was in a very shallow dish so once you cracked the top the cream was less than half an inch deep. I don't get the great reviews.

Jose A.

Yelp
I came here at around 8pm for dinner. I ordered the Smoked Fish Rillette with Trout Roe and the Organic Chicken for 2 with Roasted Garlic Potatoe Puree. The Smoked Fish Rillete with Trout Roe was my favorite dish of the night. It comes with these delicious thinly sliced toasted breads and they gave us an extra side of bread, upon request, at no extra charge. This is a must have. I would've been fine just eating this all night. As for the chicken, it was very moist and perfectly prepared. That is actually a lot harder to achieve than most people think. The flavors are basic but there is nothing wrong with that and it was what I expected. The potatoes puree was delicious, flavorful, and complimented the chicken very well. The service was great. They were polite, prompt, and attentive but not overly attentive. All in all my experience here was great and I intend on returning again.

Franny A.

Yelp
Take the M to Central Ave. in the Bushwick nabe of "carajo" land and score some fine French food and feeling. I went on a seriously crappy night and had a great time with fab food and friendly folk. The space is open and light in a former garage off Central. They really cater to their customers here and each dish was made expertly to order by the mother in the mother-daughter team Ate: Watercress soup Cod with butter/ginger sauce & brussel sprouts Potatoes with bernaise sauce Chardon with creme anglais Pineapples with ginger and lime Warm bread from Balthazar with butter started the service. The soup had texture and the housemate croutons added crunchiness. Warm and unusual- watercress is not your typical soup, but I loved it. The sauce on the cod also super clever with the faint ginger flavor which was so delicate and delish. Love the potatoes cooked in duck fat natch. The chardon like a dense brownie is a family recipe and very homespun tasting. The frutta fresca really balanced the dessert and the meal which was very French (small portions people) and very fine indeed.

Myra N.

Yelp
Used to come here for the overpriced but passable food but after waiting over an hour for a meal our server obviously forgot to put in and blamed on a computer glitch- pissy attitude to boot as if it were our fault(!!!), not to mention watching our server bring their friends, who arrived after us, free food and drinks while we sat and stared into space as nobody came to check on us. More than happy to throw away my hard earned money at some other white privileged hipster brunch hellhole. !!!!!!!!!!

Will C.

Yelp
Everything we had was honestly better than the last! Super cute spot, excellent flavors, perfectly executed. I looked at the menu and thought "Who puts bread and butter on the menu" - these guys, and rightly so because we have been wronged our whole lives fam! Go here, order all the things, tip fat.

Royce W.

Yelp
Love this place! Feels like I'm in France. Everything is good and done with love. Service is great. Been twice. It's in a great location. Walking distance from me on Bushwick Ave. Beautiful ambience. My only critique is they don't have almond milk.

Art S.

Yelp
The food was good, this was our second visit. The service was not as good as the food. On a Wednesday evening it seemed that two people were working as host, server and bartender. They were trying to serve the full restaurant, but really couldn't keep up. The entire experience was slow to the point of annoyance. It's never good when the server responds "No" to guest requests, without any attempt to accommodate. Can any of the cocktails be prepared without alcohol? No. Can we substitute the fried potatoes for the mashed? No. I understand that the restaurant can have whatever policies they choose, but there is a more hospitable way to handle the inquiry. Certainly when the FOH staff is overwhelmed, it's difficult to provide excellent service. The quality of the food preparation earns a return visit, but the service needs to be as good as the food, or it may not be more that one more try.

Courtney D.

Yelp
Some of the worst service we had in a long time. I came in with two friends (one works in the food industry and I work in customer service) looking for a new tapas and wine place for a girls night out. We weren't looking to spend a ton of money, but to just share a bottle of wine and have some good food. Once seated we didn't receive a drink menu, so we were checking out the drink prices cutely written above the bar. As the hostess/manager?? came over to offer us water and drinks, so told us not to look at that because it wasn't up to date and gestured to my friends regular dinner menu to find the drinks there. When she discovered she never handed us the drink menu she snatched the dinner menu out of my friends hand and ran over to the hostess table to grab the correct menu. Now I understand it was a mistake (and mistakes always happen!), but the way she snatched the menu out of her hands was so rude. Then the waiter tried to up sell us on a bottle of wine, after we had already ordered our bottle! Yes we wanted the cheapest wine for a reason! We were then ready to order food when the waiter walked away from us only after just taking our drink order. It took another few minutes to finally get his attention again to order food (there were maybe 4 other tables there that were well taken care of). You could tell he was avoiding us. We felt like the black sheep of the restaurant. When the food came, one friend didn't get a napkin and asked the hostess/manager?? (who was hanging out at the bar with friends this whole time) for one. She then tossed a napkin from another table at my friend as if she was annoyed she had to actually do something for a moment and said "oh well your friends got one". We ordered a few of the tapas (btw a $4 tapa is as tiny as the price suggests) and one entree to split (again just looking to split a bottle of wine and have a few bites, we weren't very hungry). Overall the food was mediocre at best. You could tell they used fresh ingredients, but everything (especially the risotto) was under seasoned. The Panisse was easily our favorite dish of the night. Once we finished, the waiter came over to clear our plates and said "wow you guys are fast", again incredibly rude. As we were finally leaving, the hostess/manager?? yells from the bar "bye ladies!" (she was still hanging out with her friends, couldn't be bothered to stand near the front) No need to yell, it's a small restaurant. Overall we felt unwelcomed. If the food was better we could have overlooked some of the unprofessional behaviors of the hostess and the waiter. But for mediocre food and everyone's stuck up attitude, we will definitely not be returning.

Shannon F.

Yelp
I've never really tried a French-specific restaurant, but boy, oh boy, was I impressed. The atmosphere is bit upscale and the space is kind of small. For a starter, my family and I shared the fried panisse, which if you don't know what that is - it's fried chickpea flour cake. The dipping sauce or the fry itself (I don't know) was spicy. I didn't really expect that, but it still tasted delicious as it cleared out my sinuses. For dinner, I ordered the fish of the day, which was Mahi Mahi, with polenta. I'm not the biggest fan of polenta - the consistency kind of grosses me out. However, I took a chance on this dish, and was glad I did. The polenta tasted like lemony mashed potatoes and the mahi mahi was perfectly tender. All in all, the dishes were perfectly sized (not American-sized portions which I appreciate), delicious, and the space had a warm, homely atmosphere.

Bridget D.

Yelp
We had the steak, broccolini, wedge salad and chickpea fries. Everything was delicious including the cocktails. All the staff were SO nice! Can't wait to go back!

Benjamin C.

Yelp
To start, the staff was helpful, kind and professional. However they seemed a understaffed, I had a hard time flagging someone down when I needed to. I say understaffed, not busy, because only 1/2 the tables were full. Even with this small number of people, the dining space was very loud, to the point that (combined with the bright yellow walls) the atmosphere was a bit overwhelming. Normally I wouldn't hold this against a restaurant, but if it was this disorienting when 1/2 full, it must be miserably loud when full. The brunch menu was very small, without much variety, mostly sandwiches and eggs. I ordered the "Chorizo and Eggs." I was not expecting the item that was delivered. It was a small dressed salad (barely, just romaine lettuce and dressing) eggs benedict. Nothing in the menu description made it seem like that was what dish would be. It was compromised of a thick sauce (clearly had been sitting out) on top of poached eggs which were cold when they arrived to me and tasted very strongly of vinegar. That sat on potato pancakes which were clearly from potatoes shredded a long time ago, the potatoes had browned BEFORE they were fried. Also, the potato pancakes were refered to as Roasties, which is an extremely insulting word used by incels to refer to genitals. Overall really disappointed in Le Garage. I was hoping to try the dinner menu, and maybe I'll still see if I can, but I'm not really keen on coming back.

Yelp
What a fantastic dinner. French food happens to be my absolute favorite and this restaurant did not disappoint. Our waiter (I can't recall his name) was phenomenal. I was only in the area for a show-the restaurant was the show's suggestion, plus they gave us a free glass of champagne when they saw our tickets. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Yelp
Given covid 19 we are eating our more to support local business. However, the last few times we have gone to Le garage have been less than ideal. We went on a Thursday as they have all you can eat mussels, it's a popular night. Reservation for 8PM. We got seated around 8:10ish, not a problem. Once seated though the problems began. We weren't checked on for quite a while so our order for drinks, apps, wasn't place til later on. Not sure if it was because we had the glorious idea to order appetizers but we didn't Receive our first order of mussels until about 9:10 PM. upon requesting the next order and waiting another ridiculous amount of time, I requested the next order as soon as we received it. I shouldn't have because upon tasting the second order both my husband's and mine tasted AWFUL, rotten fish.. :( Wish I had taken a picture since the look wasn't appetizing either. About 20 mins - it is now closing time, the server comes with another bowl and states that there isn't enough for two, just one order. My husband had lost his appetite by that point and, silly me I wanted a good last taste. Nah. Even worst that the round two. Got our checked and left.. It was truly an awful experience. Last times I've been there kitchen cannot keep up with the timing, servers do not check on all tables only those right in front the entrance and even when knowing things are okay, they won't check on you. Please do better, this isn't a cheap meal by any means but the last few times have left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
Worst brunch place me and my roommate ever visited. Le Garage? More like lay off the fucking service! Sounds more like it. Mediocre food and horrible hospitality/customer service. Overpriced menu. We were flabbergasted when the 50 year old French waitress/manager, whatever the hell her job is, threw a fit at us, raising her voice saying that we should just add the total in one card instead of splitting the bill! She also ranted that she doesn't have a calculator and she's got a lot of things to do. Fucking avoid this shithole and save yourselves the horror. I feel bad for the other servers who work there though because you can read the misery and suffering in their eyes....

Yelp
Great food for dinner and brunch! Really miss the duck with the cherry compote though.

Yelp
Came for dinner and while the place is set up nicely, the food and drinks were okay and overpriced for what it was. I don't mind paying for a good steak, but $27 for a rather small hanger steak, some potatoes, and a small salad was quite disappointing. Some of the cocktails come pre-made and bottled (which isn't necessarily clear) and cost $10/11 which is close to what you would expect to pay for a freshly made cocktail in the area. That being said, I will probably come again in hopes of a better dining experience.

Yelp
Another fantastic meal, especially the "All You Can Eat Mussels ", and the chocolate pie w crème fraiche. Yum!

Yelp
I tried this place for the first time yesterday. It has a good vibe and the food was alright. The service was REALLY slow and the portions were small for the price you're paying. My drink was half full and it looked like my breakfast came with one egg. I would give it a second chance but I wouldn't prioritize coming here.

Yelp
Reluctantly give 4 stars because the food is good but simple way too expensive for the area and the dish. Whole Chicken for two - if I remember correctly, it was $38. It was delicious and super simple, hence why it shouldn't cost $38. I am confident many of us could make a chicken just as good if not better. Chickpea fries - super tasty and well executed. Light, crunchy, and dipping sauce was perfectly creamy and tangy Fried potatoes - tender, salty goodness, and crunchy to the last bite Mussels - tangy broth with lots of herbs and really crusty bread. Awesome appetizer Cocktails were interesting and of the trendy sort, but pricey. Again - I ain't mad at the food. It met all expectations. But I find it hard to justify the cost for many of the dishes. I guess we can blame it on the rent
