You have to taste it to believe it. This place offers not only a wonderful meal, but an awesome experience on a farm overlooking Sorrento bay. A new calf was born this morning. The cat licked whipped cream from my finger. The host served house made wine to our party. We took a walk on the farm while waiting for the food, visiting olive grove, cherry trees, peaches, cattle, wine barrels and chicken coups. The chef prepared a lovely antipasti of yellow and red peppers with capers, cheese, olives; cabbage rolled with spec, prosciutto, smoked cheese, parmesan; a plat of three regional cheeses monk's cheese, caciotina, mozzarala, aged goat cheese; also, zucchini flowers stuffed with cheese and fried; piselle; germ of fava bean sauteed in olive oil. Bruschetta of home made bread, EVO, and cherry tomatos. We brought them a blue lobster and a red snapper from the fish market. They made a risotto dish and a pasta dish with the lobster using the roe and the liquid from the lobster to cook the pasta. The red snapper was prepared packed in salt and baked. AMAZING! Perfect! A fruit course was served and then the dessert: Torta della nona, Tiramassu foilatella Santa Rosa (shell) with pastry creme followed by house made blackberry liquour and coffee. So much food, but our group could not stop eating. Last night we ate at Michelin two starTorre del saracino. This is a different genre of cooking, but the food was equal in execution and lovliness. I loved the country charm and the friendliness of every staff member.
