"A short walk from Claude Monet’s house, this half-timbered Anglo-Norman 1912 edifice extends an invitation to relax and enjoy the good things of life. The tasteful interior mixes Art deco features (worn blue and white floor tiles, peacock blue walls) with 1960’s white leather armchairs and glass and rosewood tables, while the lovely patio is flanked by a delightful, wooded garden. Normandy born chef, David Gallienne, who trained at the Manoir du Lys, continues to work with some of his former suppliers from Orne and Dieppe fishermen, whilst sourcing new ones. September 2025, My wife and I experienced our first Michelin Star Restaurant. We only stumbled across this amazing restaurant whilst walking the streets of Giverny after seeing Monet’s Garden earlier that day. We were lucky as we didn’t book and just walked in. This restaurant has set such a high standard to our holiday I feel know one will beat. The sommelier really knew her drinks and I had the best Syrah I’ve had in years. Their food (the chef easily accommodated my wife’s allergy) and service was just amazing and we will definitely return when we are in the area next. However I will book to ensure a seat as I’m sure they are usually fully booked!

Le Jardin des Plumes is an ambitious tasting menu restaurant in a calm location half a mile from the Monet house in Giverny. Service by a young staff was lovely, and the food was very good. At the beginning of the meal we said that we'd need a taxi to get to the train station, but when we finished there had been a mistake and no taxi was available. Here is the memorable thing: a young woman on staff said "I have a car, I'll take you," and she did. This was truly extraordinary, and we will never forget her kindness (though in the crisis of the moment I forgot to get her name, which I regret.)

A fabulous restaurant with accommodation for diners to stay. Our accommodation was small with little room for luggage... and just two small chairs to sit on in the living space... not a problem if you're just overnight but we had large cases for our grande tour. Breakfast was in our room which we hadn't realised and this wasn't preferred. There was no bar for apéritifs but staff worked it out for us. That said, staff were very friendly and you don't stay here for the hotel, you stay here for the restaurant... which was outstanding.

The rooms, food and staff were all really excellent. In the evening we had the tasting menu at the restaurant on-site, which was delicious and beautifully presented. And we opted for breakfast which was delivered to the room. We weren’t sure what to expect with the breakfast, but it was fabulous and we ate it on the little patio set.

The hotel is very modern, spacious and comfortable with some delightfully querky elements. The bedroom and en suite were both of good size, however, it would be better to have a proper chair at the dressing table, and the ensuite lighting is far too dim. You have to open the wardrobe door to use that light to see what you are doing. Our hostess was absolutely charming and so, so helpful a real star. She made our stay at the hotel really special. The gormet dinner at the Jardins des Plumes was wonderful and spot on for my lady's birthday celebration. With champagne aperitifs in the lovely garden. I would recommend both the hotel and restaurant to anyone going to Giverny, and would stay there again myself.

Been before and had an excellent experience 3 years ago. Went recently and it was a bus plunge of a meal. All beautifully served, plated and properly prepared, but disappointing beyond belief! From the 7 course menu only a few dishes were even enjoyable enough to be good. Most were sub par and a few were inedible, dessert being the biggest disappointment of all. I have no idea why the night we were there was such a train wreck, but be warned; there is something up at Le Jardin.

This is a 1 Michelin star rated restaurant in the beautiful town of Giverny. It's a must try if you're in the area, we arrived for lunch for their first seating (12:30pm) and reservations are highly recommended (through their website). We arrived a little early so the staff welcomed us to sit inside their cute parlor, where we were served 3 amuse bouche dishes, a mango drink, and water while waiting for our table in the dining room. The snacks were delicious and was a great start to our meal. Shortly after we were taken to our table, where the server brought more amuse bouche for us as well as homemade bread and butter. Wished the bread was warmed and the butter wasn't creamy (a bit bland and hard to spread). We ordered some white wine by the glass and the sommelier picked a delicious one for us, one of the best white wines i've had! For appetizer I had the langoustines (5/5), my main course was the sea bream (5/5), and dessert was the almond panna cotta (5/5). Everything was delicious and well made, not too heavy considering it is classic French food! My hubby had the cod (4/5) which was good but a bit on the bland side, it wasn't as tasty as the sea bream. All of the ingredients are locally sourced from Giverny and on site (herbs, veggies). We really loved the meal and the service! Highly recommended - the prices are amazing compared to US for a Michelin star meal! And they gave us so many complimentary amuse bouche, during our main and after dessert!

Bar none the best meal during our trip to France! The service was phenomenal and the food was exquisite, not to mention a fabulous recommendation for wine. We started out with some French Scotch, a couple of entrees, then proceeded to the main courses - wild boar and turbot. We ended the evening with a phenomenal chocolate dessert, baba au rhum, as well as beautiful cheese plate. Throughout the evening we were treated very well and never felt rushed. Every bite was savored, and we left in a happy "food coma", the kind that only comes with a world class meal. As a side note, the prices were so much better in Giverny as compared to an equivalent Michelin star restaurant in Paris. Our compliments to the chef and his wonderful staff. Next time we are in the area we will definitely not only be dining there but also staying at the hotel!
