"Not only is Le Jardin in Little River one of the few Haitian restaurants open late, but they make really good food too. They do an excellent griot with enough of a kick that you may think twice before dipping it into the pikliz, along with a great legim with perfectly cooked white rice and a sòs pwa seasoned with cloves. "Behind the dark blue façade on the Mariaplaats, plants and cacti dominate the floral decor at Le Jardin. The front of the restaurant is more intimate; the back is brighter and airier, but it is cosy and inviting throughout. This is a lively place, both in terms of the atmosphere and the cuisine. "Groentenomie" is the name of Tamara de Borst's culinary concept, which builds on vegetables and herbs; meat or fish can be added, if you wish. Rooted in French tradition, her cuisine incorporates innovative twists and occasional Asian seasonings.
