This review is based on a delivery experience but based on that alone I would never go here nor recommend this restaurant to anyone anywhere. I ordered on Uber Eats at 9pm, food showed up nearly 2 and a half hours late at 23:19pm. At this point we were not going to eat and we were a little ticked off. Uber refunded us the order as we did not receive it in a reasonable time and we did not eat it, to add; the food looked horrible as if it was rushed last second. The reviews below confirm that this situation isn’t rare and seems to happen often. Once the order was completed I received a survey to let uber know about our experience, I’m sure this is also shared with the restaurant so that they can see the criticism positive or negative and make the changes appropriate so that their customers can get the best experience. Instead of reaching out to try to correct the poor experience we had they replied with vulgar language and false accusations. I’m not sure who replied on UBER but that person needs to be educated on what hospitality means. I’m leaving the response on google because others needs to know there is better in Montreal and to support restaurants who care about giving great food and a great experience regardless if it was takeout via a delivery service. Shame on this place. I can’t rate it zero unfortunately so one out of five is the lowest I can do.

You should order ahead for pick up. About 15-20 minutes. I did not do that, I just stumbled in but they were nice and were able to rush it for me. I didn't wait too long. The sushi tastes good and there is a lot to chose from and a fun mix, pretty sure one of my sushi was missing the shallots as well. The fish wasn't well prepped. There was a lot of skin left on mine and it was not fun to bite into. In fact, it's chewy and impossible to eat so I'd spit it out (sorry for that image). I have a photo to show what I mean. It's alright but I wouldn't crave going back.

I have been searching for a good sushi restaurant with high quality fish and rolls and finally there's one. So we went in (3 of us). First impression is the the atmosphere is quite zen. They don't put up a lot of decorations, but it's still cozy. There were not many tables so you might feel a bit empty however it's chill and chic at the same time (owner said he's working on it since the resto is only 5 months old, I can't wait for the next visit). We ordered most of the sashimi and the fishes were super fresh! We also had 2 tartares, one salmon and one tuna and I fell in love with the tuna one! One of the best! Sushis were decent too since I've been a big fan of maki. Price is decent for that kind of quality of dishes. They are still working on their alcohol so be prepared for more! Finally, the waitress was awesome, she's so sweet and nice, gave us many recommendations. If you're looking for a good authentic sushi restaurant, please check this one out, guarantee they won't let you down!

Le Kioko serves the freshest , most delicious sushi and poké bowls in the city! fast service, friendly staff, and the restaurant is super cozy. they also have ubereats , foodora, skipthedishes and golo in case you wanted to stay home and still wanted to treat yourself 🍤 the location is easy to find, with lots of street parking available , or approximately five minutes walk from place st. henri metro :) highly recommended to bring friends and family for a taste! ⭐

Small hole in the wall sushi place! Good service and pretty fast. Street parking available. The salmon avocado roll was excellent. Yellowtail roll was good too. Spicy tuna wasn't the best.

I'm afraid that Le Kioko has done a poor job managing the significant inflation in food costs that has occured. All restaurants have been faced with this, in addition to labour shortage, and it has certainly been a challenge. Restaurants have to decide how best to manage increasing costs and must find a good balance between price increases and adjustments to their menu that result in lower input costs. Le Kioko I'm afraid, has missed the mark. I didn't do a detailed study or anything, but my feeling based on our last couple of orders is that prices at Le Kioko have not risen that much. Usually this would be a plus. However, in this case it is a minus, as to compensate there has been a significant decline in quality. I appreciate that the restaurant is trying to keep price increases to a minimum, but when it has a significant impact in the quality of the food, in my opinion this is not a good trade off. I'd much prefer to have paid more for my sushi and enjoyed the meal instead of saving $20 and not enjoying my dinner at all. The sushi at Le Kioko use to be good quality, but the last couple of orders have been very disappointing. Rolls were loaded with filler such as penko and often the fish was scarce. In particular I noticed that in items that were tuna based you could hardly find any tuna at all. I hope that Le Kioko reconsiders their strategy and brings the quality of their sushi back to where it once was, even if this means higher prices.

Good but not amazing--at least what we ordered. We had the sashimi omakase, the poseidon, and it came with a free salmon poke bowl since there was an Uber Eats promo they were doing. The sashimi had a nice variety, but upon opening the platter, it smelled quite funky. We eat sashimi a lot and it doesn't usually smell so strong. We narrowed it down to the octopus smelling particularly strange. The roll was nice! And the poke bowl was filling. The prices aren't the cheapest, but it's still decent. Hope to try this place again in the future and maybe we won't run into the same issue with the whole smell-thing.

We loved our sushi delivery through Uber Eats. Everything tasted very fresh. I had a hard time translating parts of the menu from french to english, so we didn't get quite what we imagined but everything was delicious non the less! Unakyu F: Frilled eel, avocado, cucumber, mixed salad, tobiko, teriyaki sauce 33 mcx Maki: [20 futomakis, 7 dragon eyes, 6 hosomakis] Dragon Eyes: Tartare de saumon marinee frit croustillant, tobiko, masago, avocat, mayo epice (Crispy fried marinated salmon tartare, tobiko, masago, avocado, spicy mayo) Rising sun: Red tuna, avocado, caviar, tempura / thon rouge, avocat, caviar, tempura Gyoza and edamame were great starters. Would love to try other offerings - fresh and delicious.

This place is very good. The waiters were very nice and patient with us even when it was closing hours while also providing food that was delicious and filling. The owner is very nice and the atmosphere is very calming with the music, the lighting, and the background.

One of my fave sushi restos - happy it's in the Hen. During COVID, I started supporting local more than ever. I've been trying a few neighbourhood restos recommended to me and Le Kioko is one of my faves. I've ordered for 1, 2 and 3 people and each time we have loved their maki rolls. I've also tried the shrimp wonton soup and it's delicious. Will continue to support them!

We were looking for a light non-greasy dinner and decided to walk into Kioko for some takeout. We got the 33 piece platter to share between two people and it was a filling meal. Most of the platter was futomaki and the large pieces made it a good deal. The ingredients are obviously very fresh and the futomakis are well made, not too much rice and plenty of filling. The flavors between the different futomakis do end up overlapping due to the repetitive ingredients but the dragon eye roll in the middle (deep fried) and the crispy crunch in some of the futomakis provided some difference in texture. Not a traditional Japanese restaurant but still good for an everyday Japanese dinner. There are only a handful of tables, so be prepared to wait or to just grab takeout!

This little gem is serious about their food! The chef is very inspired and produced beautiful and elegant morsels of heaven to eat there it to go. Do bring a healthy appetite as the feast is wide with selections and deep with flavours. The Yuzu dipping sauce in itself is a worthy of going there... The rest is just blissful. I do recommend the dumplings, they are succulent and please eat the dish decorations they are all vegetables aka fiber and vitamin and a perfect palate refresher for between dishes. The tartar sushi, a chef Duy creation is to die for, but don't die....there's more to come! Who said sushi rice has to be bland, not this eatery; the tender filling in various rolls is seasoned to perfectly highlight the food it is paired with. Tempeuras are piping hot, fresh, crispy and non greasy. The shrimp were top quality and huge. If ultra hungry in winter go for the soup but if not so it and enjoy more of the too many to choose from menu!

Ordered their sushi through uber eats. The rolls were pretty decent and were fresh. One of them has crab meat and another one has lobster but I couldn't really taste them. It comes with soy sauce and wafu sauce.

The sushi is always delicious and beautifully displayed. Even now during Covid, when it's all takeout, the meals are so nicely decorated. Value for money and very fresh. This I the only place I get sushi from for almost 2 yrs. They do everything fresh on the spot, so make sure to order not last minute, they take the time to perfect your dish.

Le Kioko was in my radar since its opening. When we arrived there without reservation, the place was full house. Thankfully, we had to wait only 10 minutes. The restaurant is spacious; it is decorated in a simple manner. Even though the restaurant is packed; it seemed very cozy and full of zen due to the calm and sweet manners of our waitresses. The service exceeds any expectations. Because we waited 10 minutes, the chef complimented us with gyozas and miso soup on the house. I was surprised with this gesture. The gyozas were so delicious from the dough to the filling inside. The soup was ok, nothing extraordinary. We ordered a platter of 33 sushis for two people, mix of hosomakis, futomakis, dragon eyes, white tuna(complimentary)... and more. Every single item was mouth watering and super delicious. Everything was beautifully presented! I highly recommend this place for its simplicity decor, excellent service, and succulent food! P.S. they have the great playlist of music in the background!

Came here for a quick lunch with a good friend last month and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the specialty rolls were! Service is great, prices are decent, and the sushi is fresh (with the specialty rolls majorly standing out). Check it out next time you're in St. Henri!

I must say that anytime I want good sushi, I can always count on Le Kioko. Service is friendly and polite and Johnny always goes the extra mile with a generous something extra. Anytime we celebrate, Le Kioko is the place for I and my adult children. He hasn't let us down yet, with his artistic appetizing and delectable sushi! I am looking forward to treating myself again!

I ordered from Kioko lobster tartar and there was basically no lobster in it Other then that the Poe bowl was very simple but good and both soups were good. I'm not blown away but happy to have them in the neighbourhood. They will get better with time. I would go eat there instead to see and judge the rest. I don't think I really got the grasp of what the place was. With my order.

I ordered here for pick up during the COVID-19 pandemic. I want to start by saying that the food was great. However, their customer service was atrocious. I realize that due to the circumstances, I would have to wait for my order (beyond the usually expected amount of time). I ordered through an app, and the expected time on the app was between 17-20 minutes. When I actually placed the order (and pressed 'confirm') the time then changed to between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 mins. I called the restaurant for clarification. They confirmed to me that it would be 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I went to pick up my order. The staff proceeded to tell me it would be another hour until it was ready. I then calmly explained that I had called and been told it would be 30 mins. They then started to yell at me. At one point an older gentlemen (I assume it was the owner) told me to go away and actually shoo'd me. It was very rude. I would assume that under the circumstances, restaurants would adjust their customer service. I am very understanding, however, I don't appreciate being yelled at for a simple misunderstanding (which I explained it was). Ordering local at this time is great, however, experiences like this is detrimental to that effort. I also know someone who ordered from here after me who was yelled at (just as I was) for calling to ask about timing. They should really get their attitude in check (especially now).

Sushi is very fresh and good value for money. Have had the sushi and the salmon poke and it is some of the best I've had in Montreal

They left out several items for my Uber Eats order. They asked me to deal directly with Uber Eats. Clearly the delivery guy essentially picked up the bag and delivered it. They took zero responsibility. Lousy and costly . The missing items totalled $20!

dont order on a friday or busy day because i waited over 3 hours for my order and received very little help, no compensation or apology from the restaurant even after an expected 1 hour wait time

New spot in Saint Henri! Awesome little gem that serves fresh and delicious sushi! Great selection and decent prices! Decor is basic but service makes up for it! Would definitely go again!

Excellent sushi, pleasant staff and great experience. Ordered the Poke Bowl which was very nice. Also had the Sirene specialty sushi which was delicious. Will return. A+
