Le Macaron Will Blanket DFW With a Fleet of Cookie-Slinging Mobile Kiosks | Eater Dallas

"A decade-old, France-inspired patisserie founded by mother-daughter duo Rosalie and Audrey Guillem, the chain began franchising in 2012 and now has a nationwide footprint strongest in Florida and Southern California. It currently operates five Texas locations — including two in Dallas and a newly opened one in San Antonio — and plans to expand statewide to about 40 locations, with at least 10 mobile kiosks slated to debut in Dallas over the next five years. The mobile kiosks are designed to serve on-the-go customers at malls, airports, sporting events and festivals, capitalizing on Dallas’s high concentration of retail, stadiums and tourist hubs. The menu centers on colorful, gluten- and preservative-free macarons in 20 flavors and is rounded out by pastries (éclairs, pies, cakes, croissants), chocolates, coffee, tea and soda; catering offerings include custom cakes, macaron towers and party boxes. The brand now makes French-style gelato from scratch at its Sarasota, Florida headquarters (previously imported from France) and is rolling out macaron ice cream sandwiches and a Red Velvet–flavored macaron, moves that underscore the city’s continuing macaron craze noted by local press as far back as 2015." - Tierney Plumb

Every visit is a delight, and a big part of that is thanks to Alfredo 👍 — the manager who makes the best latte ☕️ in the entire city. His attention to detail and friendly attitude always make me feel welcome. I absolutely adore their almond croissant 🥐 the coconut macaron❤️ and coconut pie🥮 . Dessert with coffee is the perfect combination, which is exactly why we keep coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

Google
They are absolutely wonderful! I loved the mocha she made me and the pumpkin, lemon and Tiramisu macarons were the perfect mix of moist with some crunch just like I love them! I felt so welcomed and they were so sweet and amazing! Please give ALL the business to these great ladies!

Joanne K.

Google
Cute place! Great macaroon selection and delicious ice cream and sorbet (mango and raspberry mix was amazing) Would recommend.

Google
Always fresh, always delicious, super cute treat my toddlers look forward to every week we come to St Armand.

Google
Adorable French-inspired cafe serving coffee drinks, pastries, macaroons, cookies, chocolates, fudge, gelato and more sweet treats. Friendly staff, fast service and cute ambience set the tone for an inviting experience. We were grateful to cool off from the hot midday sun with an iced mocha latte and an affogatto with vanilla gelato. Le Macaron is open past sunset on weekends, so we may be back for dessert!

Google
Exceptional service and great Sorbet, we tried two different macarons as well, which were above the U.S standard, especially the Basil-White Chocolate one. The music is at a very nice volume at which you can choose to ignore it as it doesn't drown out conversations. The pricing is very fair too considering this place is on the Saint Armands Circle

Bob D.

Google
This is the most wonderful place for a quick coffee and pastry. They also have excellent gelato. The location is fabulous. Alfredo and Anna will take great care of you when you visit La MACARON.

Lindsay M.

Google
Great location. Friendly service . Prices are $2.75 per macaron . Not all macarons are tasteful. Peanut butter and jelly is tasteless . Salted Carmel is very good. They have gelato and chocolate treats too. Cute pillows , tshirts and little gifts for purchase.

Yelp
Dubai overpriced as always chocolate, colorful macrons, delight on croissants and delish ice creams. Service is lovely the coffee on point and the place is charming it is a perfect spot. On St Armands perfect spot.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed with Le Macaron at University Town Center. They are selling what appear to be collectible "macaron-themed" toys or figures (actually rubber dolls) for $58 each -- marketing them to young children as if they're authentic or high-value. What we received were clearly cheap, low-quality rubber toys, some of which even started breaking as we opened the boxes. To make things worse, they have a strict no-refund policy, even when the items are defective and clearly not as advertised. This kind of practice feels dishonest and exploitative, especially targeting kids and unsuspecting families. I expected better from a business operating in such a reputable location. I'm sharing this so other parents and customers are aware before making a purchase.

Yelp
Very good espresso(not easy to find), Service was fast. Small and quiet place, very comfortable. Macaroons were great very fresh and flavorful

Yelp
Of the many shops to get ice cream at in St Armand's Circle, I can't recommend the unsuspecting Le Macaron enough! They had a variety of gelato and sorbetto flavors. I went with a cookies and cream gelato and was blown away by the flavor! It was so rich and creamy - it was 10 stars! They also have a ton of macaron flavors to pick from. I chose a box of 6 and got some unique flavors like chocolate grand marnier and champagne, as well as some classics like raspberry and salted caramel. My favorite was actually the pistachio macaron! Definitely recommend stopping by to treat yo self!
google avatar

Georgia B.

Yelp
Got a couple of boxes of assorted macrons to share. =. The only flavor I liked was vanilla and my cousin liked pistachio. No one else really loved any flavors. The texture and visuals were pleasing. Beyond, it was a lot of decadence of odd flavors. We didn't finish the boxes. =. Pricy +. Parking is street (metered) Meh. Lovely looking but NoT comparable to Laduree. Looking is free ;). Save your mulah. MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark + Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE...WHERE have you been all my LiFe!

Yelp
We had an evening stroll through St Armand's Circle after dinner across the street at the Columbia Restaurant and decided to stop in for some macarons. We had to wait inside about 20 minutes (totally ridiculous!) because the 2 people in front of us couldn't decide on what kind of ice cream flavor they wanted and then at the cash register other people were waiting that started an argument with the ice cream people that they were at the wrong end of the line and who waited there the longest! So the place needs to make it absolutely clear how to enter and exit and order since it is very tiny inside. I was there for the macarons. They had a large selection and each one we had was delicious. We would stop back in there next time we are in time.

Yelp
This is such a cute macaron store in the circle. There are so many choices of macaron flavors, including some seasonal ones. There are French pastries, chocolates and gelato as well. The staff is always friendly and patient while you make your choices. There are cute macaron themed gifts such as keychains and shirts in bright and pastel colors. It's a must stop for us for dessert every time we are in the circle.

Yelp
It seems it's a popular French Macron Chain Shop in the US with locations in multiple cities across different states. I found this place in different blogs/internet searches for must - try places in Sarasota. It's located in St.Armand's circle. We stopped by the place on an evening and there weren't many other customers then. The employees gave us a cold response. They did not have any vegan or eggless offerings. My family found the Macarons tasted similar to what we get in other places, nothing different. Although they had a wide variety of flavors to choose from.

Yelp
Coffee ONLY REVIEW ! I only tried them for Coffee drinks and it was really amazing! There isn't much places open for coffee after 8 pm and I need that clean energy specially when I'm trying to stay late in my vacation! Le Macaron was open and was ready! They have the Lavazza machine and Lavazza coffee so their Espresso was fantastic! My group took Late' and Americano and they said it was fantastic ! Le Macaron! Thanks for being part of this wonderful vacation ! The two shots I got every night saved my night!! For everyone reading this review, do your part , come take your two shots and save nights!

Yelp
Walking and shopping around St. Armand's Circle shopping , we discovered Le Macaron. Beautiful looking store with their treats proudly on display. My sister in law put together a box of 6 macarons. I told her my favorite is Flure De Sel. Or Rose. Or Pistachio. I pretty much like anything. She came back with a 1/2 dozen for us to sample. No Flure De Sel and I thought all the flavors were very faint. Each flavor wasn't pronounced. Also, they were kept inside a refrigerator that, IMHO made the macarons tough and chewy. I'm trying to be positive, the best I can say beautiful store.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Le Macaron in St. Armand's Circle. I spent a week in Sarasota and visited 3 times. My 16 year old daughter has had macarons from other French bakeries and she says these are hands down the best she's ever had. Also, they have pretty unique flavors. We also tried the Violet flavored and chocolate ice creams, which were delicious. The cappuccino is also really good. Aside from the food, the shop is really cute and the service couldn't be any better! Can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
I spent a day at my beloved St. Armand's Circle shopping/retail strip... and chose to take a break here. First of all, I've been to several Le Macaron stores in different cities, but this is one of the biggest, prettiest stores I've seen...SO Pretty!!! Aside from being in love with the store's colorful, cheerful decor, including its Hot Pink wall, I absolutely love their Macarons! I chose a small box with half a dozen flavors for $15...which I thought was reasonable. Can't remember all the flavors that I chose, but they were ALL delicious! I didn't even feel too guilty given how small these bite-sized snacks were. Perfect treat from shopping on a hot, muggy day! BTW, this store also had a selection of ice cream flavors! There weren't any other patrons in the store while I was there, so I chose to sit in and enjoy these Macarons (and a bottle of ice-cold water!), as well as their pretty ambiance...and super-cool A/C (which I badly needed, given the super-humid weather). BTW, they also had this super-cute wall art, with a splash of Macarons... so fun! HAD to get a picture, and the store rep was nice enough to take a pic of me in front of this wall before I left. If you're conquering shops or restaurants on this amazing strip, I strongly suggest stopping inside this sweet French haven!

Yelp
They have opened after both of the hurricanes. They changed a bit of the decor, but it's still a pleasant space indoors and they have outdoor seating. Service was great when we arrived just at opening. They pulled a couple of wonderful chocolate croissants out of the oven to give us. Coffee was excellent and flavorful. Nice place for coffee and pastries for breakfast.

Yelp
Not sure how to feel about this place. The strawberry key lime macaroon and chocolate macaroon were good, and the basil white chocolate one was unique and something I've never had before which I enjoyed. However, the raspberry macaroon was very undercooked and was kind of gummy and soft and didn't have the best flavor. The chocolate coconut tart was good but nothing extraordinary, and the shell kind of tasted pre made. I'd say some of the macaroons and pastries are fine but I've definitely had better elsewhere.

Yelp
The perfect post dinner treat!! Stopped here while walking around the circle! The fun colors, clean cafe, and delicious desserts caught our eyes! So glad we went with our gut and stopped in! Pricing is very reasonable and all the macaroons were delicious!! My favorites were the raspberry & red velvet!
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
The only thing I found a bit strange was when I asked the woman behind the macaron counter for her opinion. I asked, "What's your favorite flavor?" and she said "All of them." So I said "Sure, but there must be one or a few that you prefer over the others?" And again she said, "All of them." So, I ended up ordering the rose, pistachio, lemon cream, and white basil and rose macarons (and liked them in that order). They were all delicious but I can definitely tell you that the rose was the best one (I do typically lean toward floral / more aromatic flavors).
google avatar

Yelp
By far the most delicious macaroons that I have ever had! This cute little shop has a few places inside and out to sit. They offer coffee and tea and gelato as well. I highly recommend this business to gluten free folks. It's a great place to stop in for a pick me up while walking around shopping in St Armand's. It isn't cheap but well worth it if you don't get to partake in most desserts due to needing to be GF.

Amanda G.

Yelp
The gelato was great but the macaroons were unbelievable! The lavender white chocolate was amazing. I wish I had taken a picture.

Alex T.

Yelp
Raspberry & Birthday Cake were our favorites. The coffee one was good as well. They were a little pricey. $17 for 6.

Yelp
The most authentic French macaron shop in town! I love this adorable, yet affordable little cafe! The coffee is good, and the pastries are even better! I'd also like to add how amazing the employees are: (Beginning with Chris): I accidentally left my wallet at Le Macaron. I called to ask if they'd be able to hold it temporarily because my car stopped working. Chris... being the amazing and wonderful human being that he is offered to meet me at a nearby bagel shop by my home to bring me my wallet! Keep Chris! HE IS AN ANGEL! You need employees like this that GO ABOVE AND SO FAR BEYOND! Alfredo, Tika and Véronique are a delight. They make this place so warm and interesting. As much as I love macarons, I also like to come in from time to time for a slice of the coconut cake. There are both indoor and outdoor bistro style benches and tables. This place is super family and dog (outside) friendly. They also have sweet little gifts and elegant gift wrapping options for the pastries. Highly recommend! Je recommande Le macaron !

Deanna C.

Yelp
My sister used to rave about these macaroons. So we were at the utc mall and got 6. I've had macaroons before and these are nasty!! There was nothing to make me buy some more. They were not light and airy, they were gummy, almost like not baked. A waste of 15$$
google avatar

FG F.

Yelp
Visited the store on Saturday evening and they still had a good variety of macarons on display. I checked in with my yelp application and got a 5% discount. I went to the register to check out and the cashier said that she didn't know how to do the discount in her computer. I didn't really mind the 5% but I though wow she doesn't know how to do a discount in the computer ‍. Anyways macarones were way to hard for my taste maybe because we bought them at like 6:30pm. Didn't really meet but expectation this time but I will give it another try next time I'm back at the beach!!
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
Very nice French coffee with a LOT variety of pastries and candies. Very good coffee and pleasant service. There is restroom and nice seating area inside.
google avatar

Yelp
I can't review this place for the food because after 15m on line at 4:15pm (with two ppl) in front of us the guy behind me decides to start ordering with the girl who was helping someone else. It blew my mind when the young girl behind the counter starts helping him. So I look at both of them and say "did you really just do that". Both the customer and counter help pretended not to hear me, so I left after thanking the guys wife for the lesson in civility I left with nothing. Anyway, store is really nice and clean , treats look good . I figure either the folks behind the counter don't know how to turn customers or they think they are that good that people will wait. Pack your patience.

Yelp
Love the macaroons from this place- crisp exterior, thick soft interior with excellent flavor choices- worth the drive and the hassle of parking-
google avatar

Jim L.

Yelp
Almost everyone of us has its own favourite bakery. Some of love the cakes, someone the pastries and some the ambient. In these times is crucial to help them continue the good work and giving them a positive feedback is the way.
google avatar

Linda C.

Yelp
After arriving at Lido Key, I call Le Macaron and order their almond croissants. OMG! They are amazingly delicious! I look forward to it every year!
google avatar

Yelp
We drove out on a Sunday night because my daughter was craving a bakery treat. We tried a Napoleon, six macarons (our first time trying these), and a bag of meringues. The shop workers were lovely and helpful especially considering it was so late in the evening! The location is nice- great mouth-watering displays- organic coffee and pretty little places to sit. We tried six macarons- flavors were spot on but... overall, the pastries were too sugary for our taste (and that's saying something, because I have a major sweet tooth). The meringues had great texture, but again- just too much sugar. The Napoleon was the best for us. As far as price, these are French pastries- they are hard to make! I think for a French patisserie in St. Armand's, prices are spot on. $15 for six macarons. If I come back, I'll get a gelato!
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
After walking around The Circle, my sister insisted we stop by this shop when she leaned my daughter had never had a macaroon (such problems). The shop is cute, clean and streamlined. There are around 5 small tables in the shop to sit to enjoy your treats. In addition to the namesake cookie, they also offer chocolates, pastries, gelato and coffees. Since we were here to ensure my daughter tried a macaroon, we ordered 6 ($15). We each ordered a vanilla bean (because my sister said they were the best) and then one other flavor. Well, my sister was right, the vanilla bean were the best....and the other flavors....well, they were okay. But they were pretty sweet so when I tried my daughter's other flavor macaroon, it pretty much tasted like mine. For me, they were rather sweet. (In fact, I would give 3 stars, but my sister who is much more "into macaroons" would give 5....thus the 4). Would I return? Maybe not, but my sister loves this place so I know she will when she allows herself to have a sugar indulgence! The one thing that we thought odd.....we were going to enjoy our treats there. The macaroons were, none the less, boxed up. We promptly unboxed then and thew away the box. We wondered if they could do without the box for patrons staying in to save the waste.

Yelp
My wife loves Macarons and thankfully these had ingredients she could eat. We bought a large box to share with the family and they received rave reviews.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Average macaron, expensive, but good gelato in the store. The shop itself is adorable, clean, and inviting! I didn't eat my purchases there but it was very cute. The employees were nice and helpful in our questions about the flavors, what they liked best, etc. It's located in the middle of a touristy area and it was around $15 for 6 macarons. I felt that the macarons were very sugary and it was difficult for me to guess which flavor some of the ones I got were at times since all I could taste was sugar. I was a little disappointed by this, because they had an amazing range of flavors, from vanilla, to matcha, to monitor. Unfortunately, the only flavor I remember being able to taste well was the mohito. As for the gelato, this was expensive, but I would say it was worth it. It was creamy and rich, but not overpowering and I could taste the flavors in each scoop I got. If I was in Sarasota again, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it's a cute little shop to stop in.
google avatar

Shannon M.

Yelp
I brake for macarons, and this place has good ones! Not quite up to the quality I've had in Paris, but definitely a worthy competitor. The cookies come in all sorts of unusual flavors, so we bought a box of 8 (Grand Marnier Chocolate, Crystalized Ginger, Black Vanilla, Pistachio, Mint White Chocolate and Salted Caramel). I wasn't surprised that pistachio was my favorite (it usually is), but none of them were bad. This is apparently a chain; we saw another location in the UTC mall later in the day. They also serve gelato, so no matter what your sweet needs are they can be fulfilled! Le Macaron est magnifique!
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
There isn't a negative thing I can say about their macaroons! Fluffy and delicious!
google avatar

M M.

Yelp
I went in this place looking for chocolate and found strange expensive maccorones ... one piece is like really expensive. I did buy a coffee that seemed like it might be French pressed but it wasn't. The coffee was not fresh and no tasted like water. I did not like this restraunt because of the high prices and it's not fresh.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Le Macaron always called my name with it's bright lively colors, and it's pretty little macarons and colorful perfect chocolates. I finally gave it a try when I was walking through St. Armand's Circle, my favorite shopping boutique area in Sarasota. I tried several flavors including lemon, white chocolate, and some others. The flavors look amazing, and original. I found the texture to be nice as well as original in itself. They were pretty good, but then again, I definitely have my sweet tooth. I do feel that they can be quite pricey, but a nice once in a while treat, or gift for someone. I would go back, but it would be once in a while. I think it is definitely something to try.
google avatar

Margorie H.

Yelp
The location and treats were clean and delicious. Unfortunately they did not want to honor the Yelp promotion they have upon checking in.
google avatar

Tamia W.

Yelp
Great place with a friendly atmosphere. Macaroons were tasty, not super crunchy so you could tell they're fresher. Their keychains are really cute. I'd recommend trying the caramel macaroons, they were great.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Nothing catches your foodie-lovin' eyes like delicious French pastries and treats as you're walking the circle at St Armand's...so of course you have to go in! I would love to tell you some funny joke like "they have a recall, and I ha EA to personally inspect every macaron" just to have them all to myself, but that would be unfair, yes? They truly have amazing macarons here, and also other offerings, like gelato, eclairs, Madeleines, Meringue, macaron cake (oh hot damn!) And oh yeah, coffee! I went simple Simon and got 6 macarons in a box. This was no small feat, considering there were around 26 different flavor macarons staring at me! I ordered the rose, salted caramel, Sicilian pistachio, passion fruit dark chocolate and 2 lavender white chocolate. Honestly, the flavors, consistency and delicacy of these airy and then chewy (with the slight crunch on the exterior of the shell!!!) Was spot on! Well done!!!
google avatar

Nikita J.

Yelp
You may initial come for the macarons (and rightfully so!), but do come back sometime and try a pistachio eclair. I've had their macarons before and loved them but tonight I wanted something different. The pistachio eclair caught my eye and I was all in. Then the server mentioned a cardamom eclair and I was intrigued so I tried that as well. The pistachio is just what you would imagine. Light but sweet and nutty filling, light and airy pastry. It was exactly what I wanted and needed. The cardamom eclair, on the other hand, was just...not cardamom flavored. I've eaten a lot of cardamom flavored things in my life and while the eclair was just a light and airy as the pistachio one it definitely was not cardamom flavored, or vanilla flavored, or chocolate flavored, or coffee flavored. It was just sweet and that was just disappointing to me. That being said, I would still come back for another pistachio eclair and any one of their wonderful macarons.

Kayla M.

Yelp
The artistry of the unique and beautifully executed gourmet treats is astonishing . The chocolate leaves you with a loss for words . Smooth , creamy and not too sweet .. a pleasure to experience . 10/10.
google avatar

Hanine C.

Yelp
Lovely macarons. I tried birthday cake and black currant. Birthday cake was not a fake yellow cake taste, but a nice vanilla with a very smooth creamy filling. Black currant had a jammy center. I'm sure all their flavors are great. The iced latte I got was just okay. A bit watery tasting- it seemed they used a prepacked pod to put in the espresso machine. The macarons are what I came for so that's fine!
google avatar

Kisha Y.

Yelp
Very poor customer service. We were essentially ignored by both employees. One skipped us and proceeded to give another group samples. When we asked the other server a question she said "I'm busy" and turned back around to watch coffee drip. Needless to say we didn't order so can't tell you anything about the products. Won't spend my money where I'm not made to feel welcome.
google avatar

Aj A.

Yelp
Typical chunky, chewy macaroons that u get in America. Good selection of flavors. But didnt seem fresh or baked that day. Rose flavor was decent
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
Whoa, this place is really expensive. I don't even think buying in bulk gives you any kind of discount. I feel like it's one of those things that you want to try more than one flavor, but I wasn't prepared for how much that would be, so we opted for just one each. I got Bailey's which was just okay (from the one bite that I had, see below), but my husband's coconut was very very good, I could have eaten a whole box of coconut ones. He wins this time. FYI, don't hold up your Macaron on the beach to try to take a picture of it, a bird will swoop down and snatch it from your hand before you even notice what happened... You will feel like a loser, and be really sad that you just got one bite. Just don't do it.
google avatar

Deke M.

Yelp
Best macarons I've ever had! Great service-sincere and informative. Enjoyed tasting a mint macaron bite. Great supply of Napoleons, lemon tarts and many other pastries. A great splurge!

Margie F.

Yelp
The best macarons! Pretty and delicious! All are scrumptious, but my fave is coconut and hubs is coffee. We will literally drive to St Armand's just for a box of these macarons.
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
What more can you ask for when you are already in paradise at Lido Beach and St. Armand's Circle? A little bit of heaven at Le Macaron! Where do I even begin? Everything is just pure unadulterated goodness. Costly for a box for six macaroons? Perhaps. But, I certainly don't mind paying for anything, if it is worth it. And believe me, these are worth it! Oh, and if you check in on Yelp, you get 5% off a box! We chose the Salted Caramel, Lavender, Coconut, Belgian Chocolate, and the Madagascar Vanilla. I had a taste of all of them...positively orgasmic! The Salted Caramel is definitely my favorite and I foresee a visit to a Le Macaron in the near future! If you want to treat yourself, do yourself justice and buy some pure unadulterated goodness at Le Macaron!
google avatar

Felice C.

Yelp
Box of 6 for ~$15 Don't know much about macarons and how airy/chewy/not bumpy they're supposed to be...but mmmmm macarons. All of them were divine. I chose the Cassis (blackberry currant), Coconut White Chocolate, Praline Hazelnut, Pistachio, Lavender and Basil White Chocolate. My favorites were Cassis and Coconut White Chocolate!
google avatar

Yelp
I just read an article about how macarons are becoming the "in" thing so I was happy to stumble upon this place while strolling around St. Armands Circle. There were a ton of different flavors to choose from, but since I was a newbie I decided to go with the vanilla one. Yum! Crispy, airy, light, and a perfectly sweet, creamy center. It was $1.82. A fun treat and nice to have something different than a cupcake for once (although my heart still belongs to cupcakes!)
