Le Manoir de la Plage

On arrival there is no signage to indicate where to find the entrance, which is along a rough gravel pathway at the far RH side of building. There are steps, but the door you would assume is the entrance is actually a conference room, which we inadvertently walked into hoping to find reception. However, the real reception is in a separate pretty building in the grounds - La Chaumiere. Also, this building (which also has bedrooms) is where dinner & breakfast is served. Food is very good quality, although the wine seemed expensive. Breakfast has a good selection of breads, pastries, fruits, yoghurt, ham, cheese, eggs, and wonderful coffee. This building also has leaflets with information about the area. The main hotel does not have a bar, although we were allowed to sit in the restaurant in La Chaumiere with a drink, and there is plenty of seating outside, weather permitting.||We stayed in the Manoir, in Petit Grain, a very large room, well laid out, large TV with no international channels. The bed was very comfortable. However, for a ‘hotel’ of this price you would maybe expect to find in your room, but definitely won’t: a small safe, a fridge, a kettle/coffee machine, a do not disturb sign, dressing gowns, slippers, tissues, you might also appreciate a shelf in the shower, so you can easily reach your shampoo & soap etc. You might also like better lighting especially near the mirror as it’s quite dark. It’s also useful to use the torch setting on your mobile phone to light your way back from dinner in the evening. Also for a ‘hotel’ you might be surprised to have to pay 25€ for 2 people to use the swimming pool for an hour.||Overall it felt a little disjointed, almost a work in progress, with lots to be done to improve both the hotel and the garden, which is filled with espaliered apples and pears, and wonderful ‘old’ roses. |

I am spending 150 nights per year in hotels and this was clearly one of the worst experiences ever. Difficult to find, most arrogant receptionist ever, no airco, view on industrial park, restaurant closed the 2 days we had booked, bar closed (the receptionist could not serve us … whilst the bar was at 5 meters from the reception), pay for swimming pool,… overpriced … spend your money better elsewhere … not difficult to get much better value for money. By the way, we had booked for 2 nights, but did not stay (as quality was definitely not in line with promise) … but not one single euro of refund.

Our trip was planned for June. Our flight to France was canceled by the airline and apparently in France, due to COVID you are unable to travel from one region to the next. I asked for a refund and they will not credit our card, they will only issue a voucher to the hotel which will not be helpful as I will not be traveling back to France in the near future. In essence, they have kept my money without honoring a service knowing that there are travel restrictions in France and it is out of our hands. I noticed they are open and will probably double dip, keep my money, and sell the room to another person.Do not book this hotel......they will not honor a credit knowing there are travel restrictions in France and we will not be allowed to travel from Paris to their hotel. This is despicable to take consumers' monies during travel restrictions and they are taking advantage of consumers. We notified them in late May and our trip is scheduled for this June 20 - 22.

Despite having beautiful rooms and a beautiful environement, the manoir was way too expensive only for the room and nothing but the room. We paid 350€ for one night which didn’t include breakfast nor the spa. The room was pretty but not in that price range!

Nous avons passé un week-end de rêve au Manoir de la plage, dans la splendide chambre Petit grain. Le domaine est superbe, les différentes maisons, les jardins, les terrasses, l’accès à la plage, la déco intérieure et extérieure, les cheminées, tout à un charme fou.|Nous avons adoré l’accueil décontracté et très chaleureux, le calme des lieux, la beauté des points de vue. Le personnel est attentionné, souriant. Les chats et le chien qui se baladent sont adorables. Le petit déjeuner est continental, moi ça me va très bien, et il est super bon, avec les yaourts et la compote maison, les croissants exceptionnels et le choix de confitures. Nous avons dîné les deux soirs au restaurant la Chaumière et on s’est régalés. Le vin était aussi vraiment très bien.|J’ai noté quelques points d’optimisations, déjà relevés par d’autres clients et qui ne sont pas grand chose à faire pour que le service soit encore meilleur 😁 :|Boîte à mouchoirs et bouilloire/tasses dans les chambres|Signalétique de l’accueil|Café expresso pour le petit déjeuner|Piscine gratuite pour tous

Il faut souligner tout d’abord la beauté du lieu. Le manoir est en excellent état et les chambres donnent envie d’y rester. Nous avons été bien accueillis par le personnel du manoir. Il y a eu quelques cafouillages à notre arrivée avec des informations contradictoires données par les employées du manoir. Même si c’est sans incidence sur le séjour, nous avons eu l’impression de faire face a du personnel qui démarrait dans la profession. Toutes nos demandes ont toutefois été satisfaites. Le prix de la chambre correspond aux standards de ce type d’établissement. Le vrai point négatif est pour moi le repas servi en chambre. La qualité était vraiment au rendez-vous mais le rapport qualité-prix n’y est vraiment pas. 92€ pour deux menus (Sans boisson) comprenant des veloutés de champignons, du filet mignon purée et un fraisier. Certes, c’était bon mais le prix est beaucoup trop élevé pour ce type de plats et qui plus est, servi en chambre, dans de la vaisselle en carton. Juste dommage pour le repas.

Une belle maison où nous avions choisi de séjourner dans la grande chambre « petit grain ». Le manoir de la plage bénéficie des services de « La Chaumière », de son restaurant, de sa piscine, de son accès à la plage. Dans cette grande propriété, on se sent en vacances, accueillis comme des amis. Le restaurant est excellent. L’accueil d’une gentillesse attentionnée et généreuse. Idéal pour chiller… cocktails, barbecues, piscine privatisanle et salle de sport, le tout dans un parc de 5 hectares au cœur d’un grand verger au bord de la mer. Nous avons adoré ! Quelques petit détails restent à améliorer, mais on se sent tellement, tellement bien et tout le monde est tellement adorable ! Merci pour ces moments de détente et cet art de vivre en toute décontraction…

Beetje vreemd hotel alles ligt verspreid, landhuis heeft geen receptie, restaurant is dicht op dinsdagavond, fitness, zwembad alles ligt verspreid over het terrein. Erg luidruchtig is de industrie aan de overzijde van het water. Ik vind het qua prijs te hoog voor de geboden faciliteiten. Kamers zijn groot maar bed is weer erg klein. Ik denk dat je voor een betere prijs - kwaliteit verhouding een ander hotel moet kiezen. Geen kasten op de kamer wel hang rek wat je met trappertje moet gebruiken omdat die op 210 hangt. 😳
