Le Méridien New York, Central Park

In spite of some negative reviews, we decided to give this hotel a try, particularly because of its very central location. We were delighted in every way by our experience, particularly the rooftop restaurant, excellent housekeeping, attentive bellmen & helpful concierge. The hotel felt like a boutique hotel due to this personal service. Our room was comfortable & functional, & we enjoyed the efficiently designed furniture. It was nice to have some books on design in the room as well. The destination fee was actually not a negative requirement, as is often the case. We enjoyed using the daily F & B credit in the rooftop bar & restaurant. The lobster roll & club sandwich can be highly recommended! We were also reimbursed for our admission to the Museum of Modern Art as part of the destination fee, another benefit. And again, the location could not be better! A great stay!

First the positives: The front desk staff was nice. The one nice feature of our room was the bathroom. Large and well thought out. Nice finishes. The room was a decent size with a separate living area. But the room was otherwise depressing - dark, old furnishings, and no artwork of any kind on the walls. It was almost prisonlike. Very expensive for what it was. Also, the hotel charges a $40 "destination fee" and then gives you a $40 food credit. Total BS. We tried to order room service and they mixed up our room number so we never got our order. Will not be staying here again.

We were greeted by wonderful staff upon our arrival. We ended up having a great time here. Joe was especially hospitable to us and made sure to extend himself in the event we needed anything. We were pleased with how clean it was. We would recommend this hotel

It’s a pretty safe option. The rooms are clean, practical but not spacious, the bathroom is nice, in general the ambiance of the hotel is luxurious. The service may be slow, if you need extra towels ask with anticipation. The rooftop is beautiful and the food and drinks are amazing although it is expensive. The lobby is really nice, the gym is equipped with everything you may need. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had problems with the elevator, just one elevator working for the whole hotel but it was not in their control.

I liked this hotel. It has a boutique feel -- a cozy lobby and few rooms per floor. The location is excellent. The concierge Dana Steer is exceptional. He has so much knowledge of NYC and all things related to theater and restaurants. He's also a lot of fun to chat with. The hotel has a nice fitness room and lovely rooftop bar/restaurant (the hotel's main restaurant was under renovation).|The only drawback for me was my small king room. It was perfectly nice and comfortable, but had my husband been with me we would have been too crowded.

We had two reservations because we used 2 different points programs. The first night we stayed in a standard room The room was small but practical and we were grateful for a very cool AC. The 2nd night we stayed in a suite with a city view. It was beautiful. The AC didn’t get the room below 71… perhaps because it was a bigger room. The bathrooms are pretty, but older. It was a great location close to shows, food, museums and Central Park. The staff was helpful and kind. The gym downstairs has everything you need for a quick workout. We’d definitely stay again. Added a pic from our room window and one from our night at the rooftop bar.

The hotel is good, but expected better from a 5-star hotel, it's a bit aged, and needs some refurbishment. The room was spacious, the bathroom was exceptionnel. Very clean hotel, during all ma stay, my room was cleaned daily and very neat. There is a safe in the room, which is of a size of a drawer you can keep everything there if you are concerned, I have to say, there was time where I forgot my stuff outside the say (money, jewelery,...) and it was untouched. The service is exceptional, they responded to each of my requests, and in a very timely manner. The bar restaurant was okay, i have to say lucked variety imho, but, it's a decent option if you arrive late or need to have some food early morning or whatever, the service is great! My only rent is that there were some ongoing repairs on a building in front of the hotel, that were sometimes too noisy and made the view not ideal. However the view from the bar is exceptional.

This is most definitely NOT a 5-star hotel. Neither the rooms nor the level of service. I was disappointed. The rooms are in desperate need of updating (and cleaning). The wood and carpeting seem to be from the 70s. The lights don't work. There's a gaping hole in the sink where they removed the drain. It's dirty. Customer service is lacking and nowhere near the level of a 5 star hotel. When I checked in, I had a choice of breakfast or points since I'm a Titanium Elite. I have specific dietary restrictions, so I asked the person who checked me in about what was served. While they'd told me it was "continental breakfast," I stay at a lot of hotels, and what they have in that type of breakfast varies quite a bit. She answered me in an extremely condescending tone, as if she were talking to a small child. Exactly the same when I asked about an upgrade. There was a large brown stain on the comforter on my bed. Gross. When I called reception, while they did apologize, the main response was, "We'll probably have to throw that in the garbage now. " Strange. The most pressing issue should have been getting it off of my bed, where it never should have been in the first place. They offered me nothing to compensate for it. They didn't fold the sheets under the mattress but instead folded them under the top sheet, basically short sheeting the bed. I honestly questioned whether or not they'd changed the sheets. I was grossed out and won't be returning.

COMPLETE PIG IN A DRESS. WTF??? Where do I start? I guess the poor communication. Typically when a hotel is under construction (and looks like a shanty) they have a notification or send word when it's under construction. Nope! Not this one. Looks like a condemned building pretending to be a wanna-be luxury hotel. Hotel looks NOTHING like the images online from exterior to interior. Maybe the bathrooms... other than that, it's dirty af and unkept. Which leads me to my next issue! The air filter in the room seems to have NEVER have been changed. Absolutely unacceptable and DISGUSTING!!!! Same for the vent above the shower head (wait why is there a vent above the shower head?). Oh for air flow? Maybe if it hadn't been filled with thick matted dust, coating the vent to the point where you can pull out muck. AGIAN, W. T. F. I am so disgusted by this hotel to the point that we are calling Marriot Bonvoy to request a no penalty cancellation based on how gross and literally 1 star this hotel is. A Motel 6 or even a busy hostel would've been better than this. When I went to relay this information the hotel staff pretended to care, but not enough to do anything? They replaced the filter and pretended to clean up but there's still much in both locations. It's just an UNCLEAN, DISGUSTING HOTEL unless you have your bar set so low you have little to no respect for yourself. We had zero bathroom amenities (body wash, shampoo, conditioner etc) not refilled so they were empty on arrival and they refill the bottles with anything BUT Malen+Goetz because I know they're product and what's in the bottles at this hotel isn't that. They only provide a usb charging setup for one side. There's no vent in the bathroom - so no wonder people have posted images of black mold growing on the walls. Even if you keep the doors open the entire bathroom is covered in steam sweat and takes time to disparate. *Update: Day 2 and no refill on bathroom amenities even with a request. It just has not been checked - REALLY POOR MAID SERVICE!!!!!!! The refrigerator doesn't keep anything cold - it's broken. They offer the CHEAPEST towels (you know, the kind from the $1 store clearance section?) that absorb ZERO moisture... yeah. It always makes me laugh when a hotel pretends to be above mid but offers you 1 ply toilet paper to wipe your ass with. Oh? I forgot to mention on day 1 how myself and 5 other people got stuck in the elevator as it stalled, began to shake, move up and down, and then took use to a creepy basement where a guy offered us a tour vs being concerned as to why we were all freaking tf out. Lamps didn't work. There are tears and burns on the carpet. AC and refrigerator barely get cold (pretty sure that was fun during the heatwave). We've communicated ALL of this to the hotel. All they had to say was "sorry" with little interest in resolving the issues they have here. Next stop Google, next stop Marriot Bonvoy to complain deeper and see if we can stay somewhere a bit more up to code? Standard? I don't know? This hotel doesn't represent as sup-par but it definitely hits below the mark of a Meridian property. They're still promoting "views of central park" online in images??? There are none. The view is now a taller building that blocks central park completely, I can also confirm that if you think the door will auto close in 2024 at this place, you're WRONG! We left to go to a show, but had to go back and noticed although we BOTH thought the door fully closed it was still open and our belongings could've easily been stolen. Definitely a security issue. DON'T STAY HERE. Literally the worst hotel I've ever given money to in my entire 30+ years of traveling. Better off ANYWHERE else if you like being treated as a consumer paying for QUALITY. Not kidding. Not worth it.

We could not have asked for a better experience for my mom and her birthday celebration! From the manager Joe, to the front desk staff Diane and Sunyoou(?sp) and housekeeping staff , it was a 5-star experience!!! We came to celebrate my mother's birthday!!! It has always been a wish of hers and we made it happen! Le Meridian on 57th is perfectly situated near "all the things!" Times Square- Central Park- Louis Vitton- Dior- Tiffany's- Broadway!!!

Le Meredian Hotel has a lovely little restaurant called The 57 Grill. I would recommend popping in for drinks are lunch. It's a cozy space with a nice assortment of lunch choices.

Con - First reservation changed due to a leak in my suite They gave me connecting rooms The phone did not work in our bedroom and we were told that it would not be fixable during our stay- Made requesting our car a chore! No housekeeping provided after countless request. Upon checking out due to lack of staffing in the subcontracted garage WE had to go get our own car from around the block!!!!! Not to mention they charged $85 each time you removed and returned your vehicle! We were traveling cross country so we needed our car! Complimentary breakfast voucher only offered a $10 discount per person Upon requesting coffee during our "complimentary " breakfast- they ran out and were unable to accommodate us! This hotel is severely understaffed! Pro- Location Staff

We absolutely loved our stay at Le Meridien. We were hesitant because some reviews said it wasn't updated but we had a really nice room that was fully new. The Rooms We booked a standard room with a King bed. Very cozy beds and super cozy pillows. They had a nice updated shower and bathroom. We had a nice mini fridge and espresso machine in our room to boot! It was also very quiet on our floor even though we saw plenty of people coming in. Not a single negative from our perspective. Service By far the best part of our stay was the very friendly service. From the moment we got out of our cab, we had help with getting our bags in. The check in was the fastest we'd experienced and they were kind enough to let us check in a bit early! Hey - never hurts to ask! We also checked out a bit late and had help storing our bags and getting a cab on our way out. Their team even helped bring our bags to the other side of the street so we could get a cab. We really appreciated that everyone we met with went above and beyond to help us! Location Great location! It's 2 blocks from Central Park and feels safe walking around at any hour. It's right next to the 57th Street metro stop (one block). Lots to do in the area and it's easy to get to other parts of the city from here. Final Verdict We loved our stay at Le Meridien on 57th St and I'll definitely be choosing to stay here for future NYC trips.

Impeccable location a block from all the luxurious shopping 5th Avenue offers, and also within close proximity to many of the NYC hospitals, which was very convenient for our business visit. Decor is nice; some construction going in but it did not impact us with the exception of the rooftop restaurant / bar being closed due to renovations. We did enjoy several meals and cocktail hours at the temporary location at the spot right off of the lobby. The bartender is a true gem and always went above and beyond with his recommendations and service. Continental breakfast was satisfactory with the Yogurt Parfait, Chocolate Croissant and Coffee option I tried daily. As a Marriott Platinum, I was upgraded to a Junior Suite a day before arrival. One of the best things about this property is their level of responsiveness via the chat function of the Marriott app. You never have to go down or pick up your phone when you need something; just text. The Junior Suite was well appointed and spacious for NYC standards. Bathroom finishes were classy and gorgeous with copper on high quality marble tile. Right next door is a high-end market with tons of great grab and go offerings. A block away is Rue 57, a great place for a bite and cocktails. Highly recommend this property for your next stay in NYC!

Subject: BLACK MOLD Dear Potential Guest, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the unsatisfactory experience my family and I encountered during our recent stay at this property. Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find the front desk unattended, and the initial interaction with the associate left much to be desired. Furthermore, our excitement for a reasonably priced hotel near Central Park quickly turned into dismay as we discovered mold in our shower. Despite our multiple attempts to address the issue through various channels, including contacting the front desk and Marriott chat, we only received a room change option from a seemingly indifferent manager. To our dismay, the new room also had mold, and this pattern continued in subsequent rooms. The hotel staff acknowledged the mold issue but was unable to provide a mold-free alternative. Consequently, my wife, 2-year-old daughter, and I had to endure the inconvenience of relocating multiple times, with health concerns arising due to the evident mold. This experience has significantly impacted our trip, turning it into a last-minute scramble to find an alternative Marriott location. I strongly advise others to reconsider booking at this property to avoid similar health and comfort issues. **The pictures attached are from three different showers.. All of which I have corresponding videos to verify room numbers and video of shower findings. I also have video evidence of interaction with hotel staff in room's identifying/confirming the presence of mold.**

We just finished the most glorious 5-night stay at Le Meridien New York, Central Park. From the moment we arrived at the door to drop our bags off, we were greeted by friendly, helpful, and happy staff who not only made us feel welcome but who care about making guests feel right at home. Our room was quiet, very well appointed, and included free wifi, bottled water, and a daily credit in the restaurant or for room service. Anything we asked for was delivered immediately, day or night. The roof top restaurant is charming and comfortable and the food is delicious. The wait staff even ask you if they can give you more coffee in a to-go cup, which I've never seen anywhere before. The location is ideal - close to all subway lines, Central Park, and a short walk to the theatre district, while being slightly outside the daily hustle-bustle of that area. Shout out to hotel manager Joseph Panarelln for clearly setting a welcoming vibe for his staff and the guests they assist. We will definitely stay at Le Meridien Central Park again next time we're in Manhattan. If I could give our stay 10 stars out of 10 - I would!

Beware: Staff stole credit card information in my room after coming into room with privacy placard - unauthorized We are so disappointed. staff walked into our room without our permission. We had privacy sign up. We knew because they turned AC on 60. I had my credit cards in my purse. The next day I received fraud alerts from all my credit cards that were in my purse on unauthorized purchases. Advice, lock your things up because as we found out, privacy signs doesn't matter.

The hotel it's self is very quaint and cute. It's similar to all boutique hotel models that have come up in the last decades in New York City The room was cute I enjoyed the Lily coffee that was complementary. My issue was that we were not notified when making our reservations that the rooms would not be cleaned on a daily basis due to Covid. We found out about this when we came back from a day of sightseeing to the room. Personally I have no objection to that rule however that must be stated upon making reservations either on the Internet or verbally. I am sorry that I had to give the hotel only three star rating.

If you need to get a copy of a previous invoice-good luck. I've been trying to get in touch for over a week now. The accounting person has never answered the phone and their voicemail box is full so you can't leave a message. The email address they say to use to get the invoice is not a correct email address and it bounces back. It's basically impossible to get in touch with a human being. I finally did earlier today and they told me they would be sending the invoice right away-it never came. I called back and they said they would send it, and now it is 6 hours later with nothing. I've called 10 times today. Very frustrating!!!!!!!!!! I will not be booking this hotel for future business trips.

Great location For this part of NYC rather fair price points My room was wonderful, clean, sleek and well appointed For NYC the gym is also great So why only 3 stars and why I would never go back? Roof top bar - overstaffed and completely under trained. Incredible poor service and the ambiance just doesn't work. Really needs a shave and a haircut from a cleanliness standpoint. Lighting and music so off balance. Where is management? Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is a 1 star experience. 6 people having breakfast in a space that fits about 150 and people were asked to wait 10 minutes b4 sitting. 15 minutes to get coffee and could never get sugar! Water completely warm and the claim of they ran out of ice. Eggs warm at best and potatoes cold! Couldn't get salt and pepper. Table not cleaned. Silverware dirty. Untrained staff and no managerial oversight. More than 1100 nights at Marriott locations around the world and this visit is in the bottom quartile.

Great location that is walking distance to tons of hot spots and restaurants. Friendly staff and helpful concierge service. However, it is in need of some major updates. Our room was very worn and the air conditioning did not work.

This hotel was surprisingly well-priced for being so nice. It's located right at the south end of Central Park and had many cafes and restaurants around. The lobby was swanky, the front desk staff was professional, and our rooms were dark and moody. The bed wasn't super lush but it did the job and we enjoyed our stay. My only hang-up was that the bathroom was SO dark that I had to use my flashlight on my phone to try to put on sunscreen and a little make-up in the morning. I barely wear any, but I truly couldn't tell if everything was rubbed in because of how dark the lighting was. The bathroom in general was nice though and came stocked with great products. I'd be open to staying here again, but would recommend bringing a ring light or your own lit mirror if you plan on getting ready in the morning in any capacity (especially if you're here for work or something important).

This hotel advertises as pet friendly. This not true. This is not a hotel to bring pets or young children. The staff is rude insulting and un helpful. We were called every time we left for dinner bc of our dog barking crying etc. This was at 5:00in the afternoon. My husband actually missed our sons graduation dinner. We were threatened with being evicted from the property because we complained about the complainant. To make matters worse we had to wit an hour and a half for the valet to bring our car. I do not recommend this hotel. Pricey, small rooms lousy customer service. Do yourself a favor, choose another property

Our original stars would have been 2 if not for Joe P (he is or should be Hotel manager). He fixed our issues and made us 3 happy girls. Our stay which could have been horrible was fantastic. He really went above and beyond to make things right. This is the face that Marriott should have representing Marriott. A shout out to Carlos for also helping us to have a great stay! Gabby from Food services also added to our fabulous time there. Thanks again,Joe for all your help! We came as strangers and left as friends.

We just returned from 4 nights at Le Meridien and I must say it's the perfect hotel in mid-town! When we checked in there weren't any upgrades for my Marriott status so night one the room was very small. Then everything changed the next day when I met Joe Panarello - hospitality manager at the hotel and he was able to get us a great upgrade to a Junior Suite! It really made a huge difference in the quality of our stay. Joe is the perfect face for this hotel, a true hospitality expert! We also enjoyed a few nice meals and cocktails in the lobby restaurant and my husband enjoyed the workout room as well. This hotel is all you need in NYC! We'll be back for sure.

I travel frequently and stay almost exclusively at Marriott properties (Platinum member, 50+nights/year). This property did not live up to its Premium brand expectation. We were in a suite, room 2704. -Furniture very worn down. -Only USB outlets on one side of the bed, not the other. Power outlet being the built in nightstand impossible to get to. -Useless power outlets in random places of the room. -TVs did not work. -Bedroom window had huge cracks and a hole (fortunately on the outer pane). -Bathroom sinks did not have stoppers - I was so afraid of dropping an earring or ring down the drain. -Commode had a vent that made a loud wind-tunnel sound CONSTANTLY. We had to close both bathroom doors when sleeping but still barely muffled the sound. -Hotel room door did not close all the way - had to make sure to push/pull it closed evert time. Big safety issue. -This is a little thing -- but why is the closet in the "living room" area and not the bedroom? -As of January 2023 there is construction happening outside the hotel. During the day there was constant loud noise. Not ideal if you need to take calls business calls from your room or want to sleep in in the morning. What was nice about the hotel: -Staff were all kind and attentive to requests. Even apologetic when things weren't able to be resolved -- like stoppers for the sinks. -The rooftop bar was a great vibe, great drinks. -Location is great and is certainly less expensive than some of the nicer hotels in the immediate area. -Room was clean. -Bed was comfortable. Recommendations to property: schedule a modernization renovation soon!

Fantastic hotel and we would absolutely stay again! This past trip was our first time staying here. I'd booked online through Marriott and specifically booked one of newly renovated rooms as I'd read some negative reviews of the older ones. While they weren't able to offer us a room with a view, we did have a high floor and things were perfectly quiet, which was nice. Our bed was firm and lower to the ground. The heat and AC worked well. I loved the tile bathroom. We had all the amenities we needed including a safe and refrigerator. Ans of course everything was clean and very nice. This is a hotel where you have to scan your room card in the elevator to select your floor. So you need to remember this even if you're just running up to the roof to grab breakfast to bring back to the room. Although I would recommend eating breakfast up at the rooftop restaurant where it it served as the view is particularly beautiful in the morning. And otherwise food isn't available up there until they open again at 4p. I will point out that by 9p or later, this area turns into a club with very loud music and young people dancing. The older generation, myself included, might not have anticipated that when dropping by for a snack before bed. We tried their fries and they were fine. I'm not a fan of thick cut fries, so I probably wouldn't get them again. However, they were deliciously seasoned and came with a really nice garlic mayonnaise. The doorman here was always on top of his job and greeted us with a smile. And at check out when we opted to keep our luggage at the hotel while we continued to explore, the gentleman who helped us was particularly professional and kind. We will return! Hopefully soon!

Nice overall spot, but rough around the edges making this a "somewhere else next time" outcome. Had to get new keys 2 times in a 3 night stay, mobile key didn't work, no room service, broken tv / lights, unhelpful concierge, no upgrade "upgrade", etc. This used to be a great hotel, but a lot has changed with this new iteration.

My best friend and I just checked out of the Le Meridien and only have glowing reviews! The room and amenities were amazing and location is unmatched. It was central but not too loud or touristy. The staff was also friendly and high accommodating - shout out to Eddie, Sean and Raphael! If you're looking for an amazing place to stay in Manhattan this is it!

My husband surprised me with a night here last week. Stayed in room 2207. They were having a sale on their suites. We experienced a contactless check-in into our room. The suites are a great size. Very spacious with a warm modern decor. The room was thoughtfully renovated keeping an illustrious vintage feel. The bathroom was truly luxurious showcasing marble floors and tiles, stand in shower with its on view of the city. The bedroom featured a floor to sealing windows and the coziest King size bed. The rooftop views of Central Park and beyond amazing. You really get that "I'm staying in NYC" feeling here. The walking proximity to the park itself as well as other many great New York staples like Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, Lincoln Center makes place an excellent choice. If looking for a quarantine staycation, this 5 star hotel fits the bill.

Vj at the front desk was absolutely amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable about the hotel and its surroundings. I loved his hospitality and I will definitely be staying at more Le meridians because of him. The hotel was really beautiful and I loved the location. The overall service was really good!

Terrible service. we paid over $800/night for a room. we got in at 9:15pm from LA with our 2 young kids and were told there was no room available for us because they had no housekeeping. I used to stay at this hotel before covid and it was nice but not it's terrible. I will never come here again.

Hotel was great! Our room was very quiet. Only 10 rooms I think on each floor making it very cozy and quit. Bed was soft, room was clean. Location was great, easy morning run to Central Park. Close to subway stations.

Pitiful lobby, dark tiny rooms. Extremely disappointing property. Front desk took 30 minutes to find our reservations even with the confirmation number and platinum elite membership.

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding. It was an okay stay. We did have a bit of a hiccup with the air conditioning. It went out and while we we're getting ready for our wedding, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. We had no idea that the air conditioning went out. It was horrible. They did fix it, but it was still uncomfortable. Not the best stay, but we had a beautiful view.

Great location, a few blocks to the Central Park, between East and West side, a block up the iconic 5th Avenue shopping heaven of Van Cleef Arpels, Tiffany's, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and much much more... Next to Morton Williams supermarket and many many great restaurants within walking distance. The cute lobby, small but super boutique-like, modern, and artistic... Tiny check in area but good folks work here. Raphial the doorman he was super nice abs helpful. So am and Felitta were both gracious at the reception check in/out. We feel very welcome here. Not much of a view here because of the surround tall buildings. However we get a small glimpse of the Central Park from our 21st floor 1 bedroom suite. The suite was comfortably, even they were newly remodeled... The dark wood and brass made the room looks small, antique-like and dark. The bathroom was the best, marble everywhere, good water pressure too! The bed was comfy as well. During the pandemic, even in February 2021, no restaurant/bar is open in the hotel, so no perks for breakfast or snack. If you like boutique hotel, this one is solid for NYC. But if you love space, corporate-like setting, this isn't for you!!

Instead of booking a cabin somewhere for our anniversary weekend, we opted to book a night at The Meridien and splurge on glorious fine dining. The price for an European King was pretty fair for NYC and honestly, the room was very big for NYC. I've stayed in much smaller rooms that cost a lot more all over NYC - FiDi, Midtown West and East, Nomad, etc. The rooms were clean and very well lit. The bathrooms were gorgeous and felt very European - which only made me miss traveling even more! The room came with all the toiletries that you need - including a shower cap! There are signs everywhere encouraging mask wearing and social distancing. The elevators have plaques asking people to only have 2 in an elevator - unless you are in the same party. We felt very safe staying here during COVID. Bear in mind that there is no room service and the gym is open for 5 or less people at a time. The coffee machine was in the room, but there was no coffee or cups available. We requested a later check out time and it was given to us, which was really helpful as we would've had to kill 2 hours otherwise.

I've stayed many nights in a top suite, which is nice, however, when we checked out, I noticed very soon (same day), we left expensive sneakers and non perishable food items, etc.; out of sight, out of mind. I asked right away for housekeeping to be notified, and front desk staff, including a manager, said they'd look into it. Now, 10 days later, I've not heard anything, although told I would. Could not leave any message directly with housekeeping as their voicemail is full! I assumed appraising them right away would work in my favor. Why it's been 10 days, I've no idea. Because of this long delay, I feel lied to, and patronized. Are they fake nice? Hard to tell, but that's PR for you. I'm so frustrated. I talked to Marriott Bonvoy customer service and they said it'd take five days to do an inquiry! Why can't anyone find out?!

It's important to start off by saying that I stay over 200 nights a year at Marriott property's. In my 10+ years of being an ambassador, I have NEVER been treated so horribly. I was with my company's head or PR. I was trying to make a partial payment towards my room, as it was partial business and partial pleasure. My flight was at 5am next day and I didn't want to deal with it then. I asked the woman at the desk to assist me. She became irritated at me and asked the other woman to help her. They both begin yelling at me and getting very aggressive as they weren't able to do what I was asking. At one point they moved the chair away from their desk and told me to come around and do it for them, if I know everything. Then a 3rd woman came around. I now had 3 of them yelling at me in front of everyone in the lobby, and my head of PR. I was so shocked that 3 professional women were yelling at a costumer that way. I asked for the mgrs name and was told the hotel doesn't currently have one. Horrible and unacceptable. Will NEVER stay here again. And I don't recommend for anyone too. Hostile and horrible environment. They also don't offer room service. Too many better options in NYC with people that understand customer service.

******COVID Review******* - The suite was more than half off - There's no amenities - they took out the minibar and coffee machine - No room service - the staff is not the most helpful - obviously the pool, spa, and work out area is not available - There is no rooftop lounge - there is no parking - there is no microwave - the views overlooking Central Park are the show - The views are impeccable - The closeness to Central Park and fifth avenue are great - theres a wide variety of good food and drink within a ten minute walk in each direction - I loved the shower and toiletries, some of the best of any hotel I stayed at

While the vibe and rooms are certainly top notch, especially at this pricepoint and location in NYC, the pillows are lacking and the bed is intensely firm. I'd forgotten these negatives from my previous stay and voted confidently to stay here again last night. Had I remembered, I might have given pause to this hotel in favor of another with more substantial pillows (these are essentially air, they flatten with the slightest pressure). My back and neck now hurt. Still, I might have called for a different pillow had I gotten to the room at a reasonable hour. Beyond this, the Illy espresso machine, brass fixtures, vintage wood accents, quality service, fast elevator, smartly designed lobby and and smartly efficient room layout (which does not feel crowded nor minimalist) make this a solid option, so long as you ask for a pillow menu at check in...if they have one?

Well when you arrive from your delayed flight and it is 2:30am and the hotel can't check you in.... Super awesome. Please do not stay here- there are so many other great hotels nearby. As a Marriott Titanium member- this is awful. Like I said- do not stay here.

The whole floor and the rooms smell like old cigarettes. Asked for a refund and was flatly told no by the manager because we booked through a 3rd party... that third party was their own website. Would avoid this place at all cost. Too many options in NYC.

I am a loyal Marriot Bonvoy member and stay at Marriot hotels every time I travel. I went to NYC on a girls trip to see the ciy at Christmas Dec 3-6th. I was truly disappointed with Le Meridien New York Central Park. Upon arriving, there was no bell man to help with luggage. There was one line to check in with 5-6 people in line with nobody else to help with the process. Several things in our room didn't work or were broken including a window that wouldn't close all the way, the fan in the bathroom, as well as some cabinets that were falling. The other 2 guests and myself were slpitting the room charges. We each gave out credit card and were given a receipt with the charges to each of our cards. When I check my credit card app today, I had an additional $5935.07 charge to the hotel tht I did not authorize. My friend had an additional $1089 that she did not authorize. I called the hot4el and was sent to billing. I got a vm that said to leave a message with the information. Then the voice mailbox was full so therefore I could not leave a message. On the vm, it said if you ahd immediate concerns to email receipts@lemeridiennyc.com. So I did that and explained my concerns. About 20 minutes later, I got an undeliverable email response stating that the email only accepts messages from senders inside the group or from a contact list and that my email wasn't on the contact list. I was so mad and upset, I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and they contacted the hotel and told me that the hot3el has 3-5 days to respond. I will NEVER stay at this hotel ever again and will be contacting the BBB and posting other reviews as well to other sites so customers are aware of their practices.

My husband and I had been looking forward to this night away for a few weeks; experience was lackluster at best. Firstly, hotel has no parking, had called ahead asking (3 calls) for help and was hung up on 3 times!! Then, I get here and wait close to 25 minutes to check in, there needs to be additional staff. Finally, get to my room and we have the smallest room I've ever seen that has a view of an office building 10 feet away. Normally, I wouldn't care, but we selected this room for the view and the proximity to the park. Finally, after complaining, I asked to switch rooms and the response was "no, even with titanium elite status this is the best room we have". I am beyond disappointed, for a 7 star Bonvoy property I'd rather stay at a courtyard Marriott. Highly disappointed

My husband and I stayed here for a wedding so we got a discounted rate! YES!... The area in which the hotel is located in is really nice, fairly close to many things, i.e.: Central Park, The Plaza Hotel and right next door (opened 24 hrs.) a Duane Reade; a convenience store and about 30 minute walking distance to Times Square. The staff was really friendly and very helpful with getting our clothes dry cleaned however, the place is slightly understaffed and a little on the slower side. We really enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel, the food was good (I ended up getting the burger). The rooms are on the smaller side, the bed however is VERY comfortable, the TV is large, the air conditioning works really well and the water pressure in the shower was good. The mirror in the bathroom however sits too high and being on the shorter side it's a bit difficult to use, thankfully there is a mirror in the hallway. Given the rooms are a little on the older side which does give the hotel a bit of character, the remodel downstairs doesn't really match the rest of the hotel just yet. I wouldn't mind staying there again (loved the roof top bar!).

I have stayed at Le Meridien hotels before and was greatly disappointed in the quality and service at this location. Requests for pillows, ice, shampoo, and other basic requests took hours or days to receive. I had to ask for extra pillows twice, which were not received until the 2nd day at the hotel. I also asked for a bucket for ice and did not receive it until 1 hour and 30 minutes after my request. There was no body wash upon our arrival, and we did not receive the refill on body wash until the next day. The TV was completely outdated and slow, and the air vent in the restroom was dirty. I could smell marijuana in the hallway coming from one of the rooms. Most hotels that struggle with space (need for remodeling) and amenities do their best to elevate the level of customer service they provide their guests, not this property. The only positive story was the assistance of the bellman, who tried his best to catch us a cab during our check-out of the hotel. I was embarrassed that my mother had to experience this disappointing experience at this hotel on her Mother's Day weekend. Again, I am not sure what issues surround this hotel or its staff, but I was mortified and, quite frankly, shocked to the point of sharing my concerns with Marriott Bonvoy to perhaps have this hotel location excluded from the Marriott Bonvoy brands.

This is work in progress, recently rebranded hotel, joining Marriott Bonvoy program. Glad I used my points for one free night, so avoided disappointment. I wouldn't say it is all bad, excellent location between Theater District and the southern edge of Central Park, pleasant service. The lobby is pretty tasteful, but small, the rooms are dated, and also too small for my taste. I would say the rooms can use some redecorating and such. Other Le Meridien hotels where I stayed were quite good, so I expect that they can make it better, with time. The size of the rooms though is not something they can change. After Sofitel and Novotel stays, this Le Meridien looks and feels "mew", a bit pedestrian. Would give it another try, if the rate is "right".

I've been trying to reach the concierge/front desk all morning. Their voice message states to leave a message but then apologize to say the mailbox is full. Please make this make sense!!! This is an inconvenience.

Highly unappealing, tiny matchbox rooms and insulting enough to have breakfast picked up while people were still in line waiting for food bed just because it's "10am". Have the courtesy to feed your guests who are paying a fortune to stay in your tiny rooms. Would not recommend it to anyone. Really expected a whole ton more from a hotel like le meridien. Very disappointed.

Cons...No mini bar, frig, proper lamps, scratchy toilet paper, not soft sherts, absolutely no shelves, teeny closet, no robes, veryyyy xpensive rooftop bar, $25 prosecco Pros Girgeous view from bar, nice staff

My wife and I went to Le Meridien based on location, photos, and price. The room was only slightly larger than the bed itself. There was no chest of drawers and one tiny closet, which was only big enough to hang two or three things. The decor was old, outdated, cramped, and depressing. There was one tiny chair. We were tired and wanted to rest but we took one look at the room and started calling other hotels. We were lucky enough to find a room elsewhere for a little more money. We were at LeMeridien for one hour and the experience cost us $200. $150 half day rate and $50 parking fee. Never, ever, again.

We spent one night at this hotel on our way through New York for the holidays. The decor was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The location can't be beat. Our staff checking us in was very helpful and got us a room even though we arrived early, the rooftop bar was a fun stop for a late night drink, and we had a seamless visit. I would definitely stay here again.

Walked into what I'd describe as a rundown motel rape den. The room is dark with outdated furniture that's trying too hard to have a mad men vibe. Since the room is tiny, dark wood furniture only makes it worse. The walls were also falling apart. Paint peeling from the walls and bathroom! I had the hotel planned for the week but luckily got out of my reservation. They did not even try to remedy the situation which was OK with me since I wouldn't have stayed. At the attached restaurant, I overheard some elderly locals talk about the hotel that recently got purchased by the Marriott having changed hands a few times over the years; use to be a welfare housing building. Marriott needs to completely overhaul this place.

Stayed 3 nights . Was excited to experience his Hoyle . We came to NYC over 100 times . Tried many hotels . Paid more money here this time to enjoy the hotel but Very disappointed . Room is smaller and outdated . But we are ok with it . Then we found out from 1st day that Service is very bad : no shampoo , no both Matt , Forgot water bottle the night shift opened our window behind curtain and forgot to close , whole night slept with surrounding Of cooking smell . Called house keeping 2-3 times to get the shampoo ..... No idea why le Meridien changed into this .

I came for a work trip for 3 nights, this place wasn't my favorite. The room is quite small which is to be expected in NYC, but the bed and pillows weren't comfortable. The second night I finally broke down at midnight and called to ask for different pillows, at 3am they still hadn't brought me up so I had to call back. The thermostat wasn't really working, it continued to blow air but not cool the room down despite being set at 65; the hotel itself was so humid and stuffy and I accidentally opened the vent thinking it was storage and saw how dirty the air filter was... it was honestly disgusting. The bathroom was okay, with a mirror that was too high and a very basic shower. In addition the smoke alarm flashes a bright green light every few minutes, needless to say I didn't get any rest and was completely miserable the entire trip.
