Le Petit Parisien

The boss was extremely rude to customers. We were rudely asked to buy something within 2 minutes of arriving to the cafe as we were looking at the menu. After purchasing items, the boss returned angrily to ask that each person at the table make a purchase at this moment even though two out of three people sharing a table already bought food. After the third purchase was made, the boss asked that the table be separated and that we squish to a smaller table even though there were about 8 other tables open in the restaurant with only 2 other tables occupied. The other 2 tables occupied had one person taking up a table for 4 people and those tables were not separated. Nobody else in the restaurant was rushed to purchase items or asked to move to a smaller table with an extremely rude attitude. Very poor service! There is no reason to be this rude to paying customers. It would be completely fine to explain restaurant policies kindly and apply the rules to all paying customers, however, this was not the case. Please be kinder!!

Just over two months since I moved next door to this cute French cafe that I look forward to come to especially on Sundays. Always a good experience, however, today I was denied a warm croissant with ham and cheese. I was served a cold sandwich. I asked the reason and she refused to provide one. I cancelled my order and I was refunded. 5 minutes later she came to our table with my order explaining that they decided in the back to make it for me and walked away. Perhaps I shouldn't be writing a complaint and be thankful for getting what I wanted but over all a very unpleasant experience. Maybe I'll start going to Cositas cafe, the staff are way more pleasant.

Very nice vibes, francés cafe decorations and music. Wonderful service and many tables indoor&outdoor. They have coffee, sandwiches, cookies, brunch, small cakes! Strongly recommended!

They have the bessssst Nutella and strawberry croissant! And the capuccino is one of the best in NYC. Also they are very nice and gentle.

Owner and staff were unfortunately unpleasant and rude. I would not recommend this cafe for reading, studying, or meeting with more than one other person, as the owner was very explicit that every person present had to make an individual purchase in order to sit down at their tables.

Nice addition to the neighborhood with plenty of seating inside. I enjoyed my almond croissant. It was the real deal! Look forward to returning and trying more!

such a cute spot with lots of seating. my iced latte and almond crossiant were so yummy- the almond crossiant was perfectly fluffy but still flaky and crispy. they also have lots of options for sandwiches, brunch, macaroons, and other desserts. highly recommend!

This is a nice place to grab coffee or a small bite to eat if in the area

Ham sandwich was freshly prepared. It was a telephone order and the order was waiting! Order person was friendly & helpful!

I am obsessed with their Avocado Toast!! It is my favorite treat and my favorite avocado toast in the neighborhood. It is on fantastic bread!

I was looking for a place to sit and have a quiet cup of coffee but the first 3 places I went to had no available tables. Someone suggested I try Le petit Parisien and I am so glad he did! It is a charming little place on a side street, easy to miss (yay, not crowded and my choice of tables!), and what a lovely selection! I had a vegan spinach pie which was delicious, and an excellent cappuccino with oat milk. Excellent service, very Parisian atmosphere, fairly quiet.... and the amazing dessert choices include vegan macaroons, which are close to impossible to find! Oh, and vegans..... there is a vegan sandwich on the menu too! I am looking forward to returning again soon!

I was truly surprised to discover just how superb their Louis XIV sandwich was, an extraordinarily decadent event made with fresh and very yummy foie gras and fig confit on a delicious baguette. I took a gamble in shelling out $35 for such a sandwich, which I shared with my Mom, but we were both pleasantly surprised to find that it's definitely worth the price... if you go for that kind of thing. Their salad was quite good with a rich variety of fresh ingredients. We shared one of their heart shaped caramel desserts which was also really yummy and not too sweet. Two thumbs up!

This is my new favorite sandwich shop! The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Some of our favorites are: - Ham and Camembert Cheese Sandwich - Smoked Salmon (aka Lox) with Goat Cheese Sandwich - Elephant Ears - Lemon Tart - Assorted French Potato Chips - Bagette We will and have gone back many times!

Left the house without coffee, huge shoutout to the nespresso machine for acting up. UGH. Rushed to get to our touristy day ahead we knew we needed to make a pit stop on the way to the MET. Coffee called. Yelp app came through. Life is perfect! A little hard to get in this street since there was some work being done but IM SO HAPPY we came here. The day officially reset as we walked into Le Petit Parisien. You can get a million coffees in this city but a million croissants are a bit harder to come by. Le Petit Parisien's sweet owner and awesome staff is here to take care of YOU. They have the coolest cafe vibes with lots of French inspo. Am I in France now? Is this Paris? ABSOLUTELY THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. You can order to eat at the cafe at one of their little tables, relax by the nook/sitting lounge (so cute and cozy btw) or take it to go. My first bite of that chocolate croissant was instant glory! I mean, the layers and layers of that flaky, crispy, crust was everything. The barista made my macchiato just how I like it and I fully approve! Obsessed with the mini prepped baguettes. The funky powerful spreadable Camembert cheese and fig was DELICIOUS with this sweet touch at the end. Melted right in my mouth SO GOOD. The owner was so welcoming and nice and extremely interactive. Love this new spot, thanks Yelp for the quick recommendation!

Food: eggs were cold (it wasn't busy/crowded - no excuse) Service: self service. We tried to fix the wobbly table but spilled the coffee. Oh and they gave us black coffee but then they gave us a paper cup of half and half, as we had ordered). Ambience: we returned the cold eggs, but they didn't heat them up for us or return them to us. I guess that's because the woman who had taken our order had decided to take her break for lunch, and she took her salad and coffee and went and sat down at a table asking if she could share it with a customer. I wish I had kept my 15% tip for myself. We won't be going back to Petite Parisienne. There are lots of options for breakfast in NYC - this one is off our list.

Sandwich/ baguette eatery. Can eat in or take away. Paris themed. We have been twice, the ham and cheese and smoked salmon baguettes were both great. The baguettes are a good size and bread tastes freshly baked.You can eat in, or take away. Indoor and outdoor seating. They also have desserts and other mini cakes. Brunch menu too.

I love them. I love them so much. Disclaimer - I've only gotten delivery and my experience is with sandwiches. Insanely delicious sandwiches. On real baguettes. Okay, so COVID happened and the quality of bread just sort of died. Which, fine. It was a difficult time. Thing is, that quality has continued. Like (and I get that this is an awful chain store example) but Pret. I would get their ham on a baguette and would literally have to eat it over my trash can at work because the crust was so shatteringly crisp, it was the only way to eat it without wearing the sandwich.and it now continues to be on sluggish bread with seriously downgraded ham at a 50% rise in price. So, I'm tooling through Grubhub, looking to eat something interesting and I see this place I've never been with before. Oooooh, this looks good. It will suck, I know this, but give it a shot. OMG, it was amazing. The bread, the baguette, is insanely good. The fillings are short and simple. I love a NY Italian hero. All that stuff? Awesome. This is not that. This is a few things than can go into a sandwich. Butter the baguette. Add some ham and comte cheese. Done! Maybe a ham and chèvre drizzle with olive oil and honey? There are no words. My pastry experience with them was not great. Elephant ears. Zero flavor. That said, I ordered closer to closing time, and they were a replacement for something else I'd ordered. When the person from the shop called me, they did try to steer me away so I actually take that as a win. The people at the shop are looking out for me, the customer. Get the Marie Antoinette. Thank me.

Such a delightful coffee chop/cafe! The owner is so so friendly - great place to work and catch up with a friend. Obsessed with their sandwiches, especially their croque madame! Also, great lattes.

Amazing French pastries and sandwiches with a lovely staff, especially Fanta whom you can meet behind the counter during the last shift on Sunday before they close. Try the amazing custard filled mini croissants! They have some French sandwiches, salads and pastries that I guarantee you have not had before--and truly unique cinnamon rolls!

Decent overall. Service a bit slow but ok. Nice quiet atmosphere. You would expect higher quality product in some instances, especially considering the price ($17 for a basic sandwich), the rillettes is just not it. Too salty with a tuna after taste...

The food is always carefully prepared and very tasty. I'm vegan and appreciate the vegan sandwich. So good every time I get it.

Delicious warm croissants. I had an almond croissant. They are a serious competition to Miss Madeline not too far from here. I split a Croque monsieur from brunch menu with bae. It was delicious, perfect, comes with a side salad. Ordered a cappuccino- it was meh and not worth the almost $6. Will get a drip coffee based drink next time. They have an ongoing promotion- free cream puff dusted with cinnamon with any coffee you order and it's delicious and warm. Plenty of seating but still cozy. Will be back to try their sandwiches, macarons and other goodies.

What an adorable find! Stopped here while on a stroll and got a chocolate twist and quiche Lorraine. The chocolate twist was to die for amazing!!! The quiche good but wished there was more filling but the pastry crust was delicious!! Cute ambiance inside, very toasty on a cold day with French music. Nice seating options including comfy nooks and tables. They also have a wide selection of sandwiches, pies, sweet pastries and of course coffee drinks. Will definitely stop in again when I'm in the neighborhood.

The first time I ate here when it opened, the sandwich and pastries were extremely good. Fresh and high quality ingredients. Some of the best food in this neighborhood. The next few times, the the food was always stale and not even close to being fresh. On top of that, they don't put even half the ingredients they claim to in the menu. They will charge you extra for additions and then they don't even add it to a dish. A few of the salads even gave me stomach aches... The last straw was this very stale Quiche they had the gall to serve me. It looked and smelled like it was about a week old. It smelled way too rancid to even taste.... See a pic of it for yourself. The owners are very arrogant and don't really care about quality of the food and consistency. Although they do love to tell you how proudly French they are... Don't let them take advantage of you.

Sandwiches are very good here, suggest ordering to pick up fresh rather than get the ones already made in the pastry case. The soups are very good as well, and the chicken lemon soup is the perfect combo with the more flavorful sandwiches. The pastries in the case looked a little tired so stayed away from those. The inside has a lot of seating and a restroom. Highly recommend!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this newly opened cafe in the UES!!! It's such a cozy place to come to work (plenty of tables), read a book (comfy couch setting), or eat their wonderful variety of pastries, sandwiches, to die for spinach puffs and their amazing coffees. The ambiance is amazing. Place is so well lit and beautifully decorated with a French theme. I can't wait until they finish doing whatever work is being done in the building so they can take the awning down and finish the work across the street. It will be an absolutely amazing place to come to once all the renovations (n of them being theirs :oO) are complete! Most importantly ... the staff is so incredibly friendly and always offer great service! This is my new go to neighborhood coffee place. I still love the staff at the 80th St & York Av. Starbucks and will continue to go once in a while, but this place is so hard to compete with!

We love this cafe that recently opened up on the UES. Some of their desserts are flown in from France and it's delicious. Love the strawberry chocolate cake and the ferrara cake. Both light and sweet but not crazy sweet. The macarons are great here as well. We love that the sandwiches are made fresh. We liked the Marie Antoinette and duck rillette. All the ingredients worked well together to make the sandwich good and the baguette itself was nicely baked too.

Cute place . Nice seating area . Everything is fresh . I subtracted one star because I believe it is a bit too pricey .

Ample seating and charming cafe vibes, friendly owner/staff, and a simple but tasty menu. No idea how authentic it is but the croissants were some of the best I've had- satisfyingly crunch with every bit, thin, crispy outside and warm, buttery, pillowy layers. So glad to have tried it.

Usually love this place and my friend has brought me multiple iced coffees large and small along with a cream puff. Today, I ordered a small iced coffee and they gave me a cup that was the size for an espresso shot. Also, as soon as I go to put my own sugar in the plastic cup cracks and the little coffee that is in the cup starts spilling out. The other times I have gotten a small it has never been this mini...Atleast I have a cream puff...

What a find on the upper east side with chef Josh Newman. Every dish was delicious! The duck was delicate with a perfect reduced Demi glaze. Steak au pauvre brought me back to France. Tender and wonderful sauce. Try the potato fondant and onion bacon tartlets. We will definitely be back again!

Cozy French themed place. Got a nice French soup, salad and a vegetarian Sandwich with my partner. The food was pretty good. The strawberry macaron was unreal. Fresh and delicious. Definitely will be coming back for macarons!

Nice coffee shop to work out of. They have Wi-Fi (Spectrum Guest) which is limited 1 hour free unless you are a Spectrum costumer. They have tons of seating which is nice but the Wi-Fi isn't extremely fast, probably not ideal for Video Conferences. Coffee & pastries are good, fair and similar prices compared to other coffee shops in the area.

Excellent and authentic jambon beurre (and I lived in Paris for 20 years). Good coffee, too. Deserves to be better known. Works well with a visit to Agata e Valentina to stock up.

plain croissant and cappuccino were mediocre for nyc, counter service was friendly and fun, nice space. please don't compare the croissant to paris or top places in nyc.

Latte was fine, service was horrible and food is overpriced. We came to work at the cafe, and when we asked for the wifi the employees refused. Another customer, however, was given the wifi and they kindly gave it to us. We're not sure why we were refused but he got it. Overall, a very hostile environment and there are many other better cafes in the area for cheaper. There is a better branch of Le Petit Parisien in Harlem if you enjoy the French food and vibe.

My wife and I had coffee and a pastry this AM at this nicely constructed eatery. The service was friendly and top notch. The food and drink were what we hoped for: Par Excellence. We look forward to coming back, again and again.

Stopped by Le Petit Parisien today for the first time. They just opened 2 months ago and I was truly pleasantly surprised. I purchased 2 plain croissants, 2 almond croissants, and 2 pain au chocolat, and 1 palmier. While the croissants might be smaller in size than compared to other French bakeries around the area, it really makes up for it in taste. The almond croissant was delicious, flaky, and the almond paste was abundant but not overwhelming. Will definitely stop by next time for the sandwiches! They look delicious. The space was the old Madison Bangkok location so it was abundant for both indoor seating and some outdoor tables too. There's even a cute little nook that I can find people wanting to gather and hang out. The service was good as I actually was missing 2 croissants and when I circled back, they honored it and gave me the 2 almond croissants that I had originally ordered but didn't receive. Looking forward to trying their coffee and baguettinis as well next time!

Having been to France multiple times, the two things we crave most are croque monsieur and a good French ham or salami sandwich. There are many places in the city, but this place just gets it right. The croque monsieur is out of this world - frankly better than many I had in France. Just order it. (I know, blasphemous, but true). Desserts were also amazing - definitely a place worth visiting for your sweet tooth as well.

Sandwiches are so yummy!! Owner is so sweet and the staff really cares about their customers. I would skip the French onion soup unfortunately... but come for a sandwich, coffee or pastry for sure! Will be coming back to try other goodies!!
