London’s Best Steak Restaurants | Where to Eat Steak in London | Eater London

"Institutions go by formulas, rules, and rigmaroles that can either feel inclusive and transportive or arch and starch. Le Relais is the former. Sit down; order a perfectly good salad; order a perfectly cooked steak with rustling frites and a doubly herbed up bearnaise (look, it’s not really a secret sauce); have a second round of steak; maybe order a dessert. That’ll do cow, that’ll do." - Adam Coghlan

After going here and eating, you'll definitely feel compelled to stand at the door and tell people, "Please don't enter, it's a robbery." Green salad as a starter. But what arrived was lettuce and some walnuts. I'd like to give the owner an idea. This is not salad this is lettuce. The plate is filled with bad skinny chips, so much so that they cover the small size of the meat. If you want bad fries, you should definitely go there. The meat wasn't good. Even the sauce wasn't good. Lettuce, a little meat, and a lot of potatoes. 33 pounds per person is a set menu. For those going, I'd appreciate it if those who gave this restaurant five stars would tell me where they've eaten before. If this restaurant did this in Turkey, believe me, the lettuce they serve would be trending on Twitter nationwide.

Generous portions! They do one thing and they do it damn well: this branch in the city is still packed in the weekend. Portions are good for what you pay. Their own brand wine is surprisingly good and they have these bottles that are a little smaller but perfect for couples. Just been after about a decade and these guys have still got it!

Basically a cafe but French themed. Food is decent but nothing special. Atmosphere is non existent. waitresses can’t be bothered to serve you or explain how the food works just say are you ready. the “generous” portions is just a lot of chips and they give u your steaks in half to make u feel like your getting more then what u actually are. If your going for a special occasion like we were I’d avoid

Terrible experience, waited 30min in the queue, extremely noisy in the restaurant. The steak has small portion, even served two times, the plate is quite small. The meat has only average quality, but is at least not so tough as I got in France, the sauce is not in my favor. The only positive things are the great french red wine and the delicious dessert.

Nice French steak restaurant. Apparently they only have 1 menu which is bread + salad + steak. They ask you how your steak to be cooked, and thats it. They serve your food right away. Visited during lunch in weekdays, it felt like a mini trip to paris since the vibe is very french!! The sauce is quite amazing too and they refill your steak one more time. Guess it's enough portion for adult man as well. Worth visiting!

For weekends and evening meals, I suggest coming to this location for tender and absolutely delicious steak as it tends to be less busy than the one in Marylebone. (I believe this location gets busy during the weekday more.) The salad has strong mustard dressing, which I enjoyed. You get two portions of beef with fries. You can choose between medium or rare. And it also comes with a side of baguettes for £33 I thoroughly enjoyed the beef, but the fries were not great. I suggest this place for a simple, quick, and delicious meal.

A fantastic spot for a casual yet classic dining experience. The food is consistently delicious — especially the signature steak-frites with their famous secret sauce. It’s a great place for gathering with friends or colleagues, with a lively atmosphere and efficient service. Simple menu, high quality, and a reliable choice when you're craving a satisfying meal in the heart of London.

Blooming love it. Food is top notch and none of that choice malarky - they do what they do best and do it well.. We came to the restaurant for lunch on a weekend so no queue's - fast service and so good they feed you the main twice. Fabulous Too expensive to do every day, but if I could - I would.
